The first video I saw of the Renee Good shooting had Rebecca standing on tippy toes trying to determine if she should return to vehicle to save her wife from the interaction with the agents. She decided Renee was OK and stomped angrily to the curb. She did not respond to Renee’s shooting and she was probably only 3 yards away. She didn’t respond until she heard the vehicle crash. The last video regarding this incident that I saw being played repeatedly was taken from an upper floor of one of the homes. The individual filming was not interested in the dynamic on the street below. Only a portion of sidewalk and people were caught on video. This person was scanning the homes up and down the street as if looking for a sniper from an upper level window. There were plenty of other discrepancies between the videos of that event and I never saw anyone questioning them.. I suppose that’s who we are now (sigh.). Testing, testing 1 2 3.

I think that is because he is making deals with local sheriffs and local law-enforcement to transfer imprisoned illegal aliens INSIDE the jail and not trying to hunt them down in the streets which takes about 10 or 15 times the number of personnel.
Every “sheriff and local law-enforcement official,” like every other State official, is supposed to be turning these people over anyway. Just like they do without a fuss in most, law-abiding States. This is not a game of “catch me if you can.”

Trump always holds the upper hand, in the Insurrection Act, but this is a draconian tool. These officials know what they must do, and he has warned them that they are “PLAYING WITH FIRE.”

County jails and regional correctional facilities are paid by the federal government for every federal inmate they hold/house every day.
The majority of the funding needed to house inmates in any county or regional facility comes from the federal government, so there is a financial incentive to keep federal prisoners.
Almost all of the county and regional facilities have a substantial DEBT SERVICE which means the facility is in debt so it is necessary to collect and detain certain types of criminals so the facility can be paid per day per inmate.
In other words, the debt creates a demand for inmates.
The inmates are a ‘commodity’ of sorts, a product.
Facilities are paid per individual product per day that the product is held/housed.
The people who run the facilities aren’t necessarily sympathetic to the protect-the-immigrant cause.
It’s about money and debt and debt and money.

“Draw down” does not mean that the insurrectionists have “won.” Trump is very carefully maneuvering them. While he of course retains the draconian powers allowed him by the Insurrection Act, that is a bludgeon tool. There are better ways to achieve the necessary goal. At much less risk to innocent, uninvolved and uninterested, lives.
