This is funny. The Wall Street Journal just realized the purpose of President Trump inviting world leaders to a new structure of global leadership.
As the outlet contemplates the mission of the “Gaza Board” they recognize the bigger intention, the nullification of the United Nations.
WASHINGTON DC – President Trump has expanded the mission of his proposed Gaza Board of Peace into a global body that would take on the role mediating conflicts currently held by the United Nations and carry a $1 billion fee for a permanent seat, according to a charter sent to prospective members.

Countries that agree to join the board could serve for a three-year term, but that limit would be waived for countries that agree to contribute $1 billion in cash to the board, according to the charter, which was previously reported by Bloomberg. The charter doesn’t say how the fees will be used.
“It’s hard not to read this as an attempt to establish a precedent in Gaza that could be used elsewhere in terms of saying that Trump is going to be calling the global shots here, and you either fall in line or you’re not part of the process,” said Julien Barnes-Dacey, director of the Middle East and North Africa program at the European Council on Foreign Relations. But, that is the problem with literally every single positive thing that has happened since he took back over as POTUS; no one in government (I am skeptical even Vance or Rubio) TRULY prioritize and want these things.
Everyone is being dragged along for their own good, by him. As soon as he has no power, BINGO, no matter what smooth talking you hear things will revert pretty damn quickly. The root cause theory, for this grim prediction theory is simply that no one politician (even ones who may be somewhat “generally” aligned with AF/DJT policy) will have the incentive to:
a) be so dogged in addressing everything in parallel with such significant action
b) willing to be so bold and assertive of any position they take (and take action bold action)
c) not be willing to be glad-handed and talked down out of policy/actions by donors/institutions/political cadres+their threats/lobbyists/bankers/foreigners,etc.
d) not accept money/promises/deals favors from self-interested parties
Even if we (and I am almost there) view Rubio as totally reformed and fully-MAGA, this is the reality of politics. And, if they aren’t exactly PDJT himself, we already know they have networks to please, donors to please, favors to repay, and on and on… just due to the fact they are who they are and they are where they are in national political life.
We can’t “clone” a random, altruistic, super well-known business man whose at the end of his life and truly has proven he has only the country’s , and not his/his friends, interest in mind. That he came along and sacrificed for us so we could have this reprieve is a literal God-send.
I’ve been trying to noodle around this root-cause quandary for a bit, but can’t game out how my theory can be dispelled based on real facts on the ground at this time. One thing that I think might give continuation of PDJT’s AF policies a legitimate post-Trump chance at being continued in earnest by someone would be if ideological MAGA supporters with big business interests and big-time power and influence decide to throw in their influence permanently and require their money/donations be tied to AF policy positions. This hasn’t happened in our nation yet, except the singular example of Musk supporting PDJT in 2024. Even if Musk keeps doing this (We know he doesn’t align with all this policy though, certainly not at a high “preference of focus mark” for him), that’s one person and he isn’t behind the scenes. I mean the “little” “Big People” all across the dark side of business and business influence.
But, since this never happened prior to President Trump, I still think that would be unlikely to happen. That is, unless PDJT2.0 Presidency has given those people (if they even exist) more confidence to be fully supportive of the new AF system.
To paraphrase Machiavelli “there is no harder thing to do than install a new system, as those who benefited from the old will fight you to the death to keep what they have, but those who will greatly benefit from the new, are only lukewarm supporters”.
We need ALL the people who financially benefit from the new system, to start playing in the donor/state-party/party influence game. They haven’t yet.

So yes, it may devolve into the same corrupt mess that it replaced. But the UN was a creation of another era which struggles to function in a world it is ill equipped to deal with.
Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to create a 21st Century international body dedicated to promoting peaceful solutions to 21st Century international disputes. As a Christian, I pray for its success.

I was a long time subscriber to the WSJ until a couple years ago. A lot went wrong with it, but I’ll list just a couple of what I consider the main things that went wrong.
1) The “news” division at WSJ is now nothing more than a carbon copy of the NYT. It is run by leftists who see everything thru the prism of leftist ideology, and they make sure that most of the “news” they “report” are thinly disguised editorials promoting leftist goals.
2) The “opinion” division at WSJ is infested with open borders shills and NeverTrumpers. The head cheerleader is Peggy Noonan, of course, who hates Trump with a blast furnace passion. There are a couple decent conservatives remaining — Kim Strassel for example — but they are in the distinct minority. The Editorial Page retains fealty to the RINO GOP Establishment, and still spews “go along to get along” platitudes endlessly.
Finally, the paper is now run by the younger and very much leftist Murdoch boys. Daddy Murdoch at least occasionally fought the Left — his spawn ARE the Left.
I too subscribed from the early 90s until 2020. When the WSJ refused to cover the Hunter Biden story that was the final blow. Peggy Noonan – quit reading her many years ago. They gave cover to her and Karl Rove. They still call once in a while and ask me to resubscribe. I take great pleasure in telling them in no uncertain terms why I canceled.

President Trump is burning down the globalist “rules based order” and is building a new order based on national sovereignty, strong borders, mutually beneficial trade deals between sovereign nations, individual liberty, populism, love of country and peace through strength.
With God’s blessing, President Trump’s desire to replace the old system with his own vision will result in the flourishing of peace and prosperity to an extent never before seen.
But only with God’s blessing.
I thank God that I am alive at such a time as this so that I can witness the miracles He is doing through President Trump and his loyal allies.

In a scenario where a single leader builds a powerful global alliance, who would eventually take over after him? Would that successor be the figure some people associate with the Antichrist?
Don’t you think PDJT has the foresight to implement rules against that?

This is the crux of it. European grandees aren’t arguing that international peace-keeping bodies shouldn’t exist, they object to who’s running the show. If PT had posited this group with Ursula von der Leyen running it, funded by the US, Europe would be all over it.
