On Sunday a group of anti-ICE leftists led by former CNN anchor Don Lemon stormed the Cities Church in Minneapolis/St Paul and terrorized the assembled congregation. The federal dept of justice is now conducting an investigation that will lead to the indictments of all those who organized and participated in the event.
The leftists were not protestors or ICE agitators; the crew who entered the church coordinated and organized an aggressive assault on a religious assembly. They are domestic political terrorists.
“Protesting” is petitioning a government or organization for a redress of grievances. The word for traumatizing parishioners and children attending a church service to effect political ends is “terrorism.”
Remember, back in August of 2025, just 5 months ago, a leftist transexual murderer shot and killed two children while wounding 30 others in a church in Minneapolis. The nation may have forgotten the prior Church attack, but the Christian residents of Minneapolis have not.
The terror experienced on Sunday was very real.
The participants in the unlawful activity included former CNN Anchor Don Lemon, lawyer and former law professor Nekima Levy Armstrong, professional extremist and activist William Kelly, along with St. Paul school board member Chauntyll Allen, Black Lives Matter activists Monique Cullars Doty & Satara Strong-Allen and many more.
Asst Attorney General for the civil rights division of the DOJ, Harmeet Dhillon said earlier today, “Make no mistake: AG Pam Bondi & The Justice Dept will pursue federal charges in this case.” The local police and/or state police could have arrested the terrorist group on the spot. However, the federal dept of justice needs to get a federal judge to sign off on the pending arrest warrants.
The federal process is slower, but it will happen.

In watching the video from the church, I think that it’s really too bad that assault is against the law. That William Kelly needed to have the shit kicked out of him.
Self defense is legal. The entire mob should have been set upon and beaten bloody.
As much as everyone would like to beat the crap out of all these people, it would only create liability for the church, as these monsters would press charges for assault and sue the church. Legal expertise is needed, but it seems like a more solid plan is to hire professional security who are licensed and insured to take on these kinds of incidents.
If any of the mob were to start to inflict violence that would change the playing field, but I believe only force needed to stop the threat would be legally sanctioned. Again, it is important to get legal advice as I think the laws on this vary by local jurisdiction.
It is a complex situation in the Twin cities, because from multiple social media posters, it sounds like you have a police force that is unwilling to support the population who support ICE, and who turn the other cheek and don’t respond for requests for help when they are attacked by the mobs in the city. That could happen in any Blue controlled territory where officers are ordered to stand down. Yes they can be sued for this, as has successfully been done in San Jose and Berkeley, CA, but it is the immediate threat that matters when you are on your own. Churches need to get prepared for this.
As Sundance has said, this had little to do with ICE. IMO it was a test run for the Marxist/Jihadist Anarchy groups to see if they can legally get away with attacking churches now in the US. Sadly this is probably going to get worse and churches would be well advised to create a plan to have rapid response teams and train their congregations. Don Lemon, the deranged Leftist media and Democrat politicians (including the state AG) were all applauding this assault on the church, framing it as a wonderful strategy for the Anti-ICE mob to exercise their free speech rights and encouraging more of the same. Lemon stressed the importance of protests “making people uncomfortable.” What the DOJ does is key, but like others have said, even though there may be arrest warrants issued eventually, IMO it may be an uphill battle to see these terrorists convicted in that city and serving any time.
Here in CA our church was warned by the FBI years ago that our Pastor was a target for a terrorist group. The church now has a security team plus we have plain clothes police officers who are members attending church. CCW is illegal in CA so we would be sitting ducks, except these officers of course have CCW, and some retired officers retain the right to have a CCW. Canvassing the congregants for these resources may be helpful if your church can’t afford to hire a professional security team.

There are four federal district courts in the State of Minnesota. They are located in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth and Fergus Falls. Leaving aside Minneapolis and St. Paul for reasons that should be obvious that leaves Duluth and Fergus Falls. Fergus Falls is located in the northwest part of the State just 25 miles from the border with North Dakota.
