Dept of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem gave a brief set of remarks to the assembled press pool at the White House earlier this morning. Secretary Noem noted the federal vehicles trashed and looted in Minneapolis last night were not ICE or DHS vehicles but were FBI vehicles. Weapons were stolen from FBI vehicles.
Additionally, Secretary Noem noted that she spoke with President Trump this morning about the possible use of the federal insurrection act in Minneapolis, Minnesota against the rioting hoards and professional agitators creating mayhem and targeting law enforcement with violent acts. No decision has been made. WATCH:
The Dept of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is unwavering in their approach toward identifying, capturing and removing the criminal aliens and those who support them. Additional federal resources have been surged to the region in support.
It would be a waste of time to hope the FBI or DOJ could be of any benefit here. Both institutions are far too corrupt, and both institutions are led by people who deny institutional corruption. However, DHS (Noem) and ICE (Homan) continue doing excellent work, and I think we will see the Dept of Treasury (Bessent) and the IRS (Bessent) result in criminal cases against all of the Minnesota perpetrators.
I don’t think it matters that a box with wheels was locked. If those weapons were left unattended by FBI personnel I have to assume it’s because they wanted those weapons to be stolen. We have NO reason to be any less suspicious of the FBI today than we were yesterday.
There’s no reason not to hold these agents responsible for “loosing” their weapons. Servicemen are routinely penalized for such negligence, Federal agents should be sent a bill for replacements or have their paycheck docked for the same.
How about criminal charges for the way those weapons may be used?
That remains an option following an investigation. Develop the evidence, then criminal charges can be filed concurrently for crimes committed.
Research, uncover, did, dig, find out. Create a massive trove of facts which en masse cannot be defeated.

You guys appear to be nuts. Those weapons were effectively stored in a locked sreel gun safe securely fastened into a car. If this is leaving weapons unprotected, then so is leaving them in a gun safe in your own home.

Faces, license plate. Pretty easy to find the people, because most in that area have criminal records to compare mugshots to.

I do think that when POTUS declares an insurrection, he will address the American people, to explain why he was left with No Other Way.

I am pretty sure (but someone who has time can do the research) that if a mob were harassing blacks during the equal rights era, and the local police refused to protect them, the feds could (and did) step in. The local gov’t cannot support illegal activity under the guise of being “independent.”
In the current circumstances, DHS officers are in the same position: citizens (federal or not) acting in a lawful manner not protected by the local police.
I expect that some federal lawyer will soon talk with the local police chief and mayor. If their response is inadequate, they will be served with papers, and their life will become a lawyer’s dream: lots of legal fees, lots of time spent in defending themselves. Meanwhile, soldiers will be in their city keeping law and order. There will be no “protests” because that will not be allowed.
I see mayor frey is back-pedaling, at least in his pronouncements. But nobody else seems to be rational. So in 2 days (wait for playoff football), the insurrection act will be invoked.

I see no reason not to use the Insurrection Act. Minnesota and the far left are out of control and trying hard to foster a rebellion. They are openly advocating support for criminals. They are actively proposing laws to make criminal behavior easier and harder to punish. In short, the left has lost its mind. So, start treating all these criminals like the criminals they are. Arrest them en masse. It makes no difference who they are or what office they hold. If they break the law, hold them accountable. Anything short of that places our Republic at great risk.
It’ll spill into other states so have to be ready to that to happen. Better to isolate and control Minn than for this to escalate.
