Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth deliver remarks to the media following a briefing of Senators on the ongoing Venezuela operations.
As noted by Secretary Rubio, the U.S. is now in control of all Venezuela oil production and distribution. WATCH:
Further to Rubio’s remarks: Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Wednesday that the United States will sell Venezuelan oil “indefinitely” after completing sales of the crude currently accumulating in storage there.
Wright said the proceeds from those sales would be “deposited into accounts controlled by the U.S. government” and then “flow back into Venezuela to benefit the Venezuelan people.”
“Instead of the oil being blockaded, as it is right now, we’re gonna let the oil flow … to United States refineries and around the world to bring better oil supplies, but have those sales done by the U.S. government,” he said at Goldman Sachs’ Energy, CleanTech & Utilities Conference.
“We’re going to market the crude coming out of Venezuela, first this backed-up stored oil, and then indefinitely, going forward, we will sell the production that comes out of Venezuela into the marketplace,” Wright added. (read more)

Hegseth will be on this hour of Charlie Kirk show
Here’s a link to the yt coverage.
The hosts are Andrew Korvet and some guy with a lisp.
The show used to be on Real America’s Voice that broadcasts on Rumble, not sure if they still are.
They are waiting on Pete right now.
Hopefully, he’ll talk about that tanker seizure.

Kolvet, Blake Neff still on RAV
I’m totally un-Woke, but I don’t think it’s very nice to define one of the commentators as “some guy with a lisp.” I’m sure he’s already over-the-top self conscience. Just saying.
Blake is very insightful and was often a guest with CK. And I didn’t notice a lisp.
It’s a description, not a slur. You’re more woke than you think.
I’m totally un-Woke, but I don’t think it’s very nice to define one of the commentators as “some guy with a lisp.” I’m sure he’s already over-the-top self conscience. Just saying.
The guy has an obvious lisp and if you are sure he’s already over-the-top self [conscious] about it then it’s obvious to you, too, and probably everyone else listening to him.
If he wants to present himself as a political commentator he needs to hire a speech therapist or a voice coach.
His lisp is distracting.
He and that other one are running Charlie Kirk’s show into the ground.
And I don’t care if you think I’m not very nice.
Just saying.

Some Presidents produce ripples in history….
Others produce tidal waves….
Thank God, America would have been a hell hole of he didn’t beat Hilary. We’d all be in prison camps or dead if she won. Pray for Trumps safety everyday of his life. Even after he’s done with his third term, they will still try.
PDT is the greatest world leader in the last 50 yrs. There is very little in the way of global events that he isn’t influencing.
If PDJ Trump successfully wins the Mid Term elections and goes on to implement and complete his Am First agenda,…. I predict that he’ll be regarded as the best, most accomplished President since G Washington and A Lincoln,…. as my old Tulane history prof, Speaker N Gingrich, said three days ago about President Trump to Mark Levin!
Please
Not Lincoln
Hell Hole Hilary is True, BUT, revolution would have been easier on my body 8 yrs ago…….. damn arthritis. That said, and come what may, GARCON, more Ibuprophen! ( WTH, at my age , what do I care if it’s ” bad for you ” ).
“Others produce tidal waves….”
Rockin’ the boat, MAGA style………… (need a good graphic to make that into a T-shirt 🙂 )
JD Vance is a sharp guy but I’m thinking Rubio 2028.
He’s become a force of nature.
He can be President if he gets Cuba back.
I have no desire to go back to Eurostan for vacations.
Sure would be nice to visit our 52nd State… after I visit Greenland, USA.
Yes, but don’t do it in the winter…..
Don’t forget Canada. Evidently, Canada has declared a lot of their land as belonging to the indians. Trump plans on buying that land from the indians. Now that would be awesome.
Vance’s VP….
Gotta keep the conga line going….
We are not going to win this in 4 years…
Took over 100 to get here….
CORRECT YOU ARE … and further, at moments like this, I encourage all GOOD PATRIOTS that while we must keep our “conga line” of good candidates in good order and well-cultivated and supplied, it was the ORIGINAL intention and design, and remains so, by our FOUNDERS — just about 250 years ago — that ours is a NATION to be RUN BY We the People.
That is, We the People COLLECTIVELY hold POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY. We the People are IN CHARGE.
IOW: We are a NATION that has a System of GOVT — such is clearly defined as part-and-parcel of our Social Contract, aka our American Covenent — and not the other way around.
The implication being that although we certainly elect our representation, it is the DUTY of We the People to elect the “right kind” of candidates … where electing the “right kind” all starts with the election of those ONLY who embrace and adhere to our American Fundamental Founding Principles … that is, the ones as presented in our National Charter Document …
… where this means that We the People need to be fully aware and embrace and adhere to our American Fundamental Founding Principles. [Hmmm … is that so? If yes, can anyone reading this identify the “weak link” in this chain?]
To summarize: yes, we have a GOVT, with elected reps, who suppostedly are to be OF, BY and FOR the People … but, the HEAVY LIFTING in the RUNNING OF THIS NATION is and always must be the responsibility and DUTY, COLLECTIVELY, of We the People, that is, We The LEGAL American Citizens … where we as a NATION have been designed this way for the past 250 years … where, otherwise, absence this DUTY, we become CONTROLLED SUBJECTS.
We are at an extreme disadvantage if we are unable to maintain this momentum post Trump…..
The initial steps we have seen him take are effective only so long as the pressure is applied….
The real battle has yet to be fought….
He is just prepping the battle field…..
Mid terms coming fast…We need to keep the hilltops or we surly will lose the battle…..
STAND FAST AND STAND TALL!
IT IS US WHO HAVE TO BREACH THE WALLS!
🎯 WE have to let Trump keep winning for 3 more years. We can’t allow the Dims to impeach him after the midterms. Then we have to make sure we don’t fumble after he got us all the way down the field. We need great leaders who will take over when he retires.
I can’t emphasize this enough….
It should be plain for all to see…
If the Democrats win….
EVERYTHING STOPS!
impeachment means nothing….ACTION means EVERYTHING……GIVE UP NOTHING!
It’s the GOP that is blocking Trump in Congress.
GOP needs yuuuuuge shakeup.
I don’t understand the hand wringing over the midterms……as a maga/gop candidate all you have to do is to show what the last two dhimocrat administrations have done or haven’t done.
Then show what PDJT has accomplished. Additionally and just as important, list off the numerous lies. Hammer on the fact that they are LIARS. Contrast and compare.
Primary John Thune he is NOT a winner…..and he is not MAGA😉🇺🇸
You don’t understand….
Someday maybe you will…..
On target USMC.
I was not a Rubio fan, but he has certainly found his strength as Sec of State.
I’m open to either, but I suspect VP Vance has the inside track right now.
be precize..155 yrs since end of Constitutional Republic…1871….
Agreed….
Solidified by Reconstruction and the birth if the Administrative state….
Democrats have always been at the root of all of our problems…..
Their roots stretch back to the Tories during the Revolutionary War…
The more your root though history, the more becomes clear….
“Vance’s VP….
Gotta keep the conga line going….”
He could also stay on as SoS.
Some cabinet level stability could lead to more economic and political stability.
Remember who Vance owes his money success to, the Tech Dudes and huge tech companies. Sundance has revealed who Vance serves many times. Plus having a Cuban born President would be cheered on by all of SA. Vance has disagreed with Trump many times publicly. Do we really want a tech loyal VP becoming President? He’s getting good at his acting but I’d rather have Rubio if this are choices. BTW do you notice Vance is not on the media very much imo.
J D Alias; all you need to know.
That has always bothered me. It definitely was part of the grooming process of the stable owners.
I am in love with NO POLITICIAN … but, if you believe your own comment, then you are as phony and false as it is.
Rubio was born in the USA. Whether he will be eligible to hold the POTUS office may depend on the upcoming USSC decision on Natural Born citizens.
The upcoming decision on “birthright citizenship” will not address people like Rubio, whose parents were in the United States legally; it is the question of whether the babies born to those who are present without authorization, those who stole into our country, should be thereby rewarded for their crime with the coveted American citizenship.
I don’t think it’s just illegals, but also tourists on 90 day tourist visas.
You can’t have a foreign born President or one who was not born to US citizens.
We already did.
We already had a stolen election too but lets not repeat either one.
If Vance was good enough for President Trump, he is good enough for me.
We are lucky enough to have two good prospective candidates. That is a situation where which one it is should not be a huge issue.
Are we seeing a new version of the splitter strategy take shape before our eyes?
What we’re “seeing” is a bunch of comments on the possible future, instead of firming up what PJDT is doing for the Country right now! Concentrate on the Mid-Terms, and do it Right! Voting by the numbers is important.
yep, they’re arguing politics……in the future……….need i say more?
Exactly right. As SD said a few days ago, voting in these midterms is not an option.
Much as I am disgusted by the RINO NTs (Never Trumpers), they are preferable to the leftists who have been making slow steady progress to wit, Seattle, Minneapolis, New York City; and further up the ballot, the entire West Coast and HI is now captured; plus how many more states.
We the People allowed the communists to march through the institutions, and here we are. As has been said elsewhere in this thread, it took 100 years, more or less, to get here.
I constantly pray for victory for the righteous; and for those who don’t know better, they become awakened, their hearts changed.
Logic FAIL!
Refer to Mike Pence.
Refer to daddy Bush.
Vance is a nobody from nowhere.
Man, the guy gets better and better. Best Secretary of State ever.
Best President and administration Ever!!
Who would have ever thought Rubio would be the man to lead MAGA a few years ago ?
Right
Yes, he’s doing a fine job and as long as the voter mandates that the Rubio and Vance’s keep America and Americans first, then he’ll be successful and a positive force for good in this nation.
Who will Elon back?
The Dems would give birth to a brick if Rubio is our nominee….the Hispanic vote…
I think the two should run together with Rubio as VP and then President.
No. Vance is nothing more than a carnival barker.
I think Vance will make a great president, but am deeply impressed with the ability of Rubio to
articulate the administration position in clear and forceful terms. Smart guy. Hope he’s SecState
for 11 more years.
I prefer Rubio as well. His experience and resolve make him shine
Isn’t it nice to have sooooʻ many first round draft choices available. Poor stinkin denocraps have to sel3ct from a long lost of thugs and slugs…..crooks and creeps.
Not sure I am excited about supporting PBS news…..but it was funny.
I like Hegseth, but he needs to get rid of the Max Headroom hair.
And he needs style training, his tight suits are kinda annoying to see.
I noticed this too, reminds me of the Ryan Seacrest look.
I could care less what he is wearing as long as he’s doing his job and the President supports his efforts and actions.
X1000
Or how he combs his hair.
Yes, Hegseth can wear whatever he likes and comb his hair however he likes. He is getting the job done.
And in any case it’s infinitely better than the size XXXL suits and Darth Vader mask of the last guy.

tight…..as wef whores ……..
Blowing loud about someone needing style training to do with suits when you have no clue as to what you are talking about.
Tight suits??
Style training?
Suit styles?
Style training required for wearing a style of suit?
Who knew?
FYI, there are differences how a suit appears on a person; a suit may appear tight on a person even when they are not, primarily due to the placement of the top button and how it interacts with the wearer’s body shape and posture. Get a grip.
Younger men today wear suits that are really tight. They look like hand me downs that are too small. I can’t stand the look.
I feel it’s hard to look at because the impression is generally one of discomfort and poor craftsmanship.
Modern fashion trends without proper tailoring expertise), where puckering, wrinkling and pulling are to be avoided) are very much a part of modern trends; especially in Italian tailoring. However, behind these days’ tight cuts is a deliberate attempt to create a slim silhouette which backfires on men without the ideal body type. Or trying to look more muscular when one is not.
Young men in suits that have poor fit showing collars not staying on the neck, lapels buckling away from the chest, and sleeves creating a vice-like grip around the biceps. These issues are commonly associated with the trend of sizing down suits until they are barely wearable, which can make the wearer appear heavier than they are. Often we see the ‘shirt triangle’; where the bottom half of the shirt shows beneath the jacket’s buttoning point, especially noticeable in three-button jackets. (This effect is exacerbated by high buttoning points and low-rise trousers, which leave little room for the shirt and tie to remain hidden; or the shirt shows pushed up fabric along and down the front.
and
By the way, the classic 3-button suit is an elegant well fitting good looking one which aren’t seen much these days – in some European cities maybe, but few too).
Often we see suits appearing short, too short in the jacket and pants, cuffs about 2 inches too short and skin-tight trousers that make buttoning the jacket much more difficult. Why wear a suit that makes one appear heavier – when one has no substantial muscular physique? It just draws attention to not having substantial matter to flaunt.
We also see young men wearing suits that are improperly altered; taken in at the back while front remains too large. This creates an emulation of fashion-forward image which makes a young person in such a suit playing at being an adult.
Respect is all he needs!! He’s Got It!!
I don’t know, I kind of like it.
Me too. I think he looks very svelte and dapper. I love the suits lined with the American Flag.
So does Katie Hopkins !
That was hilarious!
Picky much! Did you shave today?
lol, no as a matter of fact.
My comment was meant to be light hearted, but obviously, I need to learn how to read the room better.
Pete Hegseth is one of those men rarely found, who can wear a ponytail close to the neck or high as a Samurai warrior into old age and he will always be Pete Hegseth.
I consider him a true alpha male and worthy of it. Some folks here just can’t take a joke.
The capture and arrest of Maduro will go down in history as one of the most amazing and courageous military operations of all time. Flawless, in a thousand different respects.
Obviously, they had some help from the inside, but that only makes our enemies even more worried. No one anywhere in the world who goes against the interests of America will ever feel safe as long as Trump is President.
Yes, Venezuela needs to now dig itself out of a very deep, previously tyrannical hole, but I feel that, with a bit of time, the entire country will come out of this smelling like a rose.
If we can now get our own house of economic cards in order, what with all the massive fraud and grift everywhere you look, there is a very good chance we can turn our rapid decline around. Fingers crossed.
That my friends is seriously engaging with people – with honesty and sincerity. : )
And it long, long, long past due.
The un, the ukr / rus / eeee uuuu (and dc political ploy’s for years and years) ‘diplomacies’ are full of obfuscations and baloney. (and waste a lot of time and resources)
(while mad uro is in jail, due to a 5 year long indictment etc. )
That, video clip, my friends is seriously engaging with people – with honesty and sincerity. : )
Yes, (while preparing and being prepared) there are times for r and r in the military…
and yes, sitting, or running, flying a plane, preparing costs about the same every day
(other than the amount of munitions spent in a given moment).
imho
It’s disgusting how much the media hates Trump and Admin, they are responsible for turning Americans into haters. Trump could save America from a nuclear bomb and they’d still blame him for scaring people.
I listen to the opening statements and then “Exist Stage Left”.
If DJT walked on water… headlines would shout:
“Trump can’t Swim!!!”
I believe that Americans are responsible for themselves and their thinking processes: critical thinking or emotional thinking.
The Propagandists are only playing to their crowd…..which continues to grow smaller.
Why would Rubio move from SOS to VP? If so who is qualified to take his place let alone be as accomplished as him?
I would like to see Rubio continue in this role in the next administration; it’s hard to think of anyone who could do the job as well and articulate it half as well.
Both China and Russia have stated their complaints about Trump about VZ, and mimic the world outcry, not exactly seriously angry sounding. But Putin and Xi know where their success lies, and that’s with good relations with Trump and the US. Someone asked Trump how his relationship with Putin was the other day, and Trump answered he’s very unhappy with Putin now. That was before we knew Russia or China was helping VZ, or buying their oil
I don’t imagine it was before PDJT knew.
…he’s very unhappy with Putin now.
I’m sure President Putin cares what the U.S. President thinks of him. lol
HUGE for domestic and global oil prices. Trump also just found a real true point of leverage over Putin
I disagree. It will be several years before VZ production can be ramped up to a level where it will have an impact on the market. Currently, we’re taking what China was buying, so there’s no change in world oil supply.
Our sour crude refineries are operating at 90-95% capacity. Much of which is sour crude from Alberta. Which means CA may get shafted, if the VZ oil takes up more than the available slack in the system.
I’m not sure about our refineries but I’m sure it won’t be hard to ramp up the already existing infrastructure in Venezuela
From what I’ve read the infrastructure is in poor condition and needs a complete overhaul. Additionally their ports from which they ship oil are in a similar state.
Ad yet they’ve been shipping refined oil all along…
One wonders how they did it.
Another win!
Canada to be shafted ,
GOOD !
Russia and China were largely involved with Maduro and his corrupt regime. RU has been in Venezuela since before we were involved in ukr or at least since we involved ourselves
A couple of days ago, regarding ghosts ships sneaking out was known:
Eyes Right…
MOAR current update:
Eyes Right…
What is on this ship? It has been running around the Ocean for 6 months.
Sanctioned Crude Oil from Venezuela illegally on its way to Russia…or Iran.
Like the way Rubio uses his past as a buffer when confronted with the questions concerning senate,. etc. Little Rubio has grown to be bigger than any congress individual.
“has grown to be bigger than any congress individual.”
Mighty low bar. : ))
Marco has PDJT’s back and for that I give him credit. He has become quite a spokesman for the new hemispheric defense strategy and his loyalty has made me think positively of him.
There is plenty of room for both Rubio and Vance to claim success. The team has depth. I am also impressed by Gabbard and Noem. Toughness is shown by both.
And Miller.
Venezuela no different than Minnesota
I’ll never understand why we always need to go to Politico for news like this. You can feel the bias just dripping from that piece.
I just skip by it if it’s Politico or something similar. Same with the bias morons that fill the press conferences. Their questions mean nothing to me.
This is why the first thing I look at on ciizenfreepress is the source.
Way too many fake news ones.
Now this is W-I-N-N-I-N-G !!
“As noted by Secretary Rubio, the U.S. is now in control of all Venezuela oil production and distribution. “
The word Imperialism originates from the Latin word imperium, meaning ‘to control“, “to command” or “to rule.”
Deleted.
Rubio is Secretary of State, National Security Advisor and now Viceroy of Caracas, our latest colony.
The helicopters were barely landed when the list of additional acquisitions of Cuba, Greenland, Colombia and Iran was proclaimed.
To describe the situation in Venezuela as a stable aqusition is premature. The idea that the multiple factions in Venezuela are all going to passively submit indefinitely to imperial decrees handed down from Washington is a very long shot.
Paul Singer, who had been a major supporter of the Russian hoax and election steal became a major Rubio and Trump donor this cycle.
He is an interesting and particularly toxic swamp creature. Nauseating in fact. He was recently awarded CITGO for pennies on the $1.
The age old adage of Money Talks while BS Walks remains true. For anyone interested in the Venezuela project, a little homework to familiarize how Paul fits in is useful.
“Rubio is Secretary of State, National Security Advisor and now Viceroy of Caracas, our latest colony.”
Viceroy of Caracas does have a certain ring to it.
Sounds better than Mandarin of Caracas or Satrap of Caracas.
It’s interesting how the administration announces publicly that the proceeds from Venezuelan oil will benefit the people of Venezuela, but no one mentions that Paul Singer is going to make a fortune from the U.S. seizing Venezuela’s natural resources.
Actually, Rubio has turned down the Viceroy position…too busy.
Screw the Russian sub escort of the fraudulent oil tanker and drop them onto the fast rope
Just keep in mind there remains the Russian sub, Belgorod, which is undetectable by our navy, patrolling the Atlantic.
You may have missed the minimized public announcement when the navy acknowkedged they were tracking it, until they couldn’t.
This vessel carries at least one Poseidon. Our military and CIA are capable of unlimited mayhem, violence, regime changes and chaos. But it has no response to the Poseidon.
Perhaps sober thinking and cogent behavior is wise after all.
Russia lost contact with the Marinera itself after U.S. forces boarded it—confirmed by statements from Russia’s Transport Ministry.
The Marinera is one thing, if its’seized, its’ piracy.
The Belgorod is a submarine, strategic nuclear asset for which our navy has no ability to track. Its’ main weapon, the Poseidon, will take out any US coastal city without warning.
We can track it.
Trump may end up controlling more foreign countries than Bush.
Bush controlled (well, more or less) Afghanistan and Iraq. Trump may end up controlling not just Venezuela, but Columbia, Cuba and Greenland too. And maybe 51st state Canada.
Has MAGA morphed into MAIA ?
Bush controlled nothing. Bush was controlled.
Who do you think is controlling Trump?
What is “mentor” in Russian?
Lol. I can’t believe people still exist who cling to the fraudulent notion that Trump is controlled by Russia.
Willful ignorance isn’t as sexy as you think it is, dude.
But he may be ‘controlled’ by the spirit of Alexander the Great. Or at least strongly influenced.
Afghanistan became the center of global heroine supply during our occupation. Its’ interesting historical footnote that during his tenure as CIA chief Bush Sr. his agency used Noriega who was Panamas’ head of intelligence, to transport massive quantities of narcotics into the states. Narcotics profits are a part of the off the books income for the CIA.
We are into the 2nd year under Trump and our proxy terror state of Ukraine war continues unabated. Placing Budanov as the dictator Zelenskii’s Chief of Staff confirms the CIA has taken over the project. The military situation is so bad, it is transforming back into a US war of terror against Russia. As how it had started.
Trump has listed the countries you mentioned (you forgot Iran, Lindsey Graham is pictured with a ball cap inscribed Make Iran Great Again and a timeshare in Syria), to add to the Empire. Very ambitious.
Trump did manage to
MAGA Syria, Make al-Qaeda Great Again, although that is sketchy and precarious too.
..who knows Chad…he may even get green goblin under control in the 2028…?????will he control..Scheinbaum..BiB………ever???
For all intents, Venezuela will be a protectorate of the United States. If this is what it takes to keep Marxists thugs from ravaging the country and creating one of the largest diasporas in history, destabilizing the Western Hemisphere and placing an unbelievable burden on the American taxpayer, who had to absorb much of that emigration, then so be it.
By they way, do you all notice one thing? The presstitutes of the state media don’t deign to Cosplay as journalists until there is a Republican in office. Then, they go through the motions of pretending that a free press matters, if only in illusion.
They are tiring people. When the president labeled them ‘Fake News’ he did the country a favor.
J
Protectorates were a feature of the Age of Imperialism, particularly during the 19th and early 20th centuries. European powers such as Britain, France, and Germany used protectorates as a strategic tool to extend their influence without the administrative burden of full colonial rule.
Protectorates represented an intermediate level of rule, less than with colonies but more than with simply spheres of influence.
It would be even more fun …if Marco did read name of 60 senators(12 rinos) on senor MADURO’s bribe list provided by former Venezuelan Intel chief Hugo Carvajal.. …
It would also be illustrative if Rubio disclosed his financial relationship with Paul Singer and Daniel Naboa, the Miami born US citizen president of Ecuador!
I don’t understand this arithmetic.
60 senators of whom 12 are RINOs would mean only 48 DementoRats.
This implies 2 DementoRats in the Senate were not bribed by Maduro.
Which ones? I don’t believe there are even 2.
2 of the newest elected one.
Do they forget that Pete was on Fox News so he understands the media games
that are played..
I’m sure the Navy is thrilled to get in on this.
Hopefully, this actual helpful to national security will make the MIC happy to get them off the Ukraine teat.
Rubio: “One of those ships that’s was seized, that had oil in the Caribbean. …You know what interim authorities are asking for in Venezuela? They want that oil that was seized to be part of this deal. They understand that the only way that oil can move and generate revenue and not have economic collapse is if they work with the United States…”
What an incredible week!🇺🇸
The paper trail of this oil sold (at market prices) and funds go to the Venezuelan people in some very direct way, must be very transparent.
Maybe very obvious Venezualan infrastructure rebuilt. Yes, I know we need America First and ours rebuilt, but this is their oil and it needs to work for them. Yes, maybe Blackrock or similar get in on the rebuild. Yes, I know its Blackrock, but get them off the Ukraine teat, too. It’s closer to home, not too far out of realm of possibility of US folks easily there to help construction, etc. All sorts of possible tie ins.
Think outside the box when it comes to Blackrock or similar.
Don’t yell at me for mentioning Blackrock. Just naming a well known one, get someone different or better, etc.
I won’t yell, could even be a decent idea.
But it’s not _their_ (Venezuela’s) oil. They are allowed custody of it now, but it was ours and stolen, so they must work it, and use its profits to pay us back that debt. In turn we use _some_ of those profits for the rebuild.
Just attempting to articulate what PDJT has said. Hope I got it right.
Alexander the Great was an imperialist, as his conquests and rule align with core characteristics of imperialism—expansion of power, subjugation of territories, and establishment of dominance over diverse peoples.
Born in 356 B.C., Alexander inherited a strong military from his father, Philip II of Macedon, and used it to launch one of the most ambitious campaigns of territorial expansion in ancient history. He defeated the Persian King Darius III at the Battle of Gaugamela, a turning point that ended Achaemenid Persian dominance and allowed Alexander to claim control over a vast domain stretching from Greece to India.
His campaign was not merely defensive nor retaliatory; it evolved into a program of imperialist aggrandizement, as noted by Oxford Reference. After liberating Greek cities from Persian rule, Alexander continued eastward, absorbing Egypt, Persia, and parts of Central and South Asia into his growing empire.
Alex was also a great inventor, not just a mean Imperialist….. he created chemically treated rags that his generals wore on their wrists that changed color by the hour so he could coordinate the timing of force use on his battlefields, no joke,… a real Genius.
Hence,…. his generals were then known as Alexander’s Rag Time Band!
You forgot the rimshot. 😉
Never lost a single battle……..
Did Canopy-Licking Demoted Retired Former Navy Captain and Astronaut (like Katy Perry, Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn) “get in Hegseth’s Face” like he threatened yesterday?
Bit at a loss on something. Why exactly are we, our government, saddled with rebuilding V? We didn’t destroy it, we didn’t attack it, we haven’t had war with it. Far as I can tell we turned off some lights, killed some Cubans and brought out a crime lord. From understanding, they came here illegally, many cartels and such but also many who entered because of Biden. Guess it has to do with oil but, apart from oil, why?
If they don’t set this up right, legislators will find a way to legislate this situation to steal all of the money from Venezuela’s oil production
They absolutely will do that.
Good.
“would prefer if the Venezuelan portion of the money was held for the future Venezuelan leaders to use as THEY see fit.”
Trump’s action plan lessens the possibility of an internal political struggle in Venezuela over oil money, in addition to beginning national recovery now, rather than later.
“Venezuelan Oil,” although there is plenty of it, is technically problematic. Aside from the political environment, it is difficult to profitably extract. The last ten years’ politics haven’t helped.
While we here were liberating or colonizing Venezuela, looks like the left just got their Ashli Babbitt and Michael Byrd.
If you’re referencing the Ice shooting in Minneapolis, we need to start arresting those who impede deportation efforts. Immigration is the federal government’s responsibility. Impeding them is a violation of law. Start with the outspoken mayor and governor.
Ashli was not driving a car into a federal officer’s face.
I think this is a win win for everybody. Apparently the type of crappy crude from Venezuela is exactly the kind our refineries down on the Gulf Coast specialize in processing. So this deprives China of any raw material it was importing, as well and increasing volume at our own refineries. If the profits from crude oil sales can indeed be directed to rebuilding efforts in Venezuela, then everyone there benefits as well.
I heard we only have one southern coast refinery that can handle the heavy Venezuelan crude.
That Venezuelan crude is not that different from the crude extracted from the Albertan oil sands deposits and exported from Canada. The gulf coast refineries already refine lots of that grade of petroleum.
The issue is more likely one of capacity rather than being optimization for a super heavy sour crude. Not a lot of room for increasing refining if the existing refineries are operating close to maximum capacity. Currently ~95%, if what I read elsewhere was accurate.
Building or expanding refineries would change the calculus of course. Better question is if the corporations will be willing to invest the billions and time to increase capacity for a potentially greater net profit.
Hmmm, a bad look. What funds would you suggest should be used to run the country in the interim?
Rubio has been the biggest 180 I’ve seen in recent politics. He’s always been well spoken and good under pressure but I used to consider him the typical CONservative we are constantly dealing with. When President Trump tapped him for Secretary of State I was pissed. Well, in the world of republican politics I love when I’m wrong and so far I think I am with Rubio. I think he’s been exceptional and I will support him until/unless he betrays us. Maybe Trump has given him an avenue to truly let loose. Time will tell and I will always remain skeptical but I like what I see and am wholeheartedly and excitedly willing to admit I was wrong.
In case you haven’t seen.
https://renegaderesources.pro/p/the-venezuelan-oil-narative-is-pure
The real reason behind the public narrative.
Smart. The Venezuelan people will come back–if for nothing else–to control their own money. That is the carrot and the stick in action. Maybe they can unite.
I hope the people that had to flee can go home soon.
I still want Trump 28-32, and longer🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
