Can’t remember which film the scene is in, but a huckster is getting people from a crowd to play the shell game. After watching him ply his trade the hero ambles over, when he sees somebody he knows is vulnerable is about to be conned.

The hero calmly introduces himself and asks is he can help choose the shell. The victim agrees and points at a particular shell, saying they think that’s where the pea is. The hero’s, who is well aware the huckster has previously palmed the pea and is waiting to slip it under one not chosen, to give the illusion it was a fair contest, says it could be, but perhaps there’s a better way to choose. By now the huckster is getting visibly nervous and claims the hero is interfering, but a crowd has gathered and agrees with the hero that the huckster doesn’t want anyone to think he isn’t running a fair game, (IIRC holstered pistols were being fingered so probably a Western).

Once the hero has everybody attention and support, he points to the shell on the right, saying ‘It’s not under this shell’, forcing the huckster to prove him correct. Then he points to a second shell saying again, ‘And it’s not under this one, so it must under here’ and points to the final shell. The crowd all cheer and the huckster, trapped by his own deception, has to pay up.

The moral of the story: just because you set a trap doesn’t mean you can’t fall into it, especially if your victim has a guardian who’s more than aware of how you operate.

My opinion: Then why is the government running the primaries? Each party should host and PAY FOR it’s own primary in every state. You should have to be a registered Democrat or Republican to vote in the respective primary. That would put an end to ranked choice cheating. Finally use the software and ballot stuffing in key areas to gain the party’s desired outcome.

2) the GOP does not mind losing it is part and parcel of the Big Club strategy.

I have posted here many times that many in Israel have the same feelings as we here in US, they love their country but hate their government.
This comes from working there and talking with people (worker bees), it’s not just Benny it is the ones they refer to as the “Penguins”, the hard line religious ones that see terror behind everything and use that to extract $$$. They have their own rules.

One of the topics that raise ire among the people is the mandatory military, it is not the service it’s self, they do that with pride. It is the issue of the children of the above mentioned group not having to serve, that has a rub that does sit well.

Another often discussed topic, the people are tired of spending their whole lives having to know where the nearest “bomb”shelter is. They want it to stop, see above group again.

In my opinion, all involved are politicians. Beside President Trump even Mike Pence sounded good. In order to achieve in DC, some kissing needs to be done. Even President Trump has had to make some adjustments. Like candidate Trump we should be looking to find a great wild card. Maybe he/she will come to light or maybe we’ll have to settle for the bought and paid for candidate. Failure is never really a fail until you stop trying.

The future of the nation of Israel does not depend on the support given by the US government but on the sovereign God. In the Jewish scriptures one finds scathing denunciations of the people because of their unfaithfulness and most of their spiritual leaders rejected the Messiah. However, Luke records that not only did many ordinary Jewish people believe the preaching of the early church but also many priests became followers of Jesus Christ. There is no benefit in being Jewish when you reject your own Scriptures and reject the Messiah – only a coming judgement. The USA cannot prevent this and those Evangelicals who ignore the plain sense of the teaching of the Bible are interpreting the Bible in the light of history and news reports instead of its own context.
