As we noted yesterday, lawyers representing former CIA Director John Brennan are sending proactive letters to the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida {SEE HERE}. However, some of the information included in the letters intended to be exculpatory is actually damning against their defense position.
You have to go deep in the weeds to see it, but if you understand the details of the events, the information being revealed by Brennan’s lawyers is the opposite of helpful to his case. As an example, there is a citation included in a footnote of the December 22, 2025, [fn #20 page 6] letter that links to a March 31, 2022, letter sent to John Durham.

In 2025, Brennan is telling the Florida court the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) conclusion was confirmed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller in a “very serious review.” However, in 2022 Brennan told John Durham that Robert Mueller never interviewed him or offered an assessment of the ICA; Mueller just regurgitated it.
So, which is it?
These contradictions are throughout both of the letters when you compare them side-by-side. In 2022, former CIA Director John Brennan was trying to escape the Durham review. In 2025, Brennan is trying to escape a grand jury review.
[We are aware that the U.S Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Jason Reding Quiñones, has access to the CTH public library of research into all of these historic events.]
There are other citations in the 2022 letter that are certainly worth reviewing, because the legally binding statements made by John Brennan at the time have been shown to be false in 2025.
Another of the claims, in the 2022 letter to John Durham, highlights why it was critical for the CIA to assist in the capture and arrest of Julian Assange in 2019.
The lawyers representing John Brennan in the above 2022 letter apparently did not know the DNC emails were provably not hacked by Russia, unless they are claiming that Seth Rich (DNC staff) and Julian Assange (Wikileaks) were working for the Russian government.
John Brennan asserts a “definitive determination” that Russia was involved in the theft of the DNC emails, and across the intelligence community that determination was “unanimous.” That assertion, by Brennan, underpinning the “Russian interference narrative”, opens up the entire DNC email issue for Jason Quiñones to explore.
The DNC hired Crowdstrike to investigate the leak/hack; the James Comey FBI never looked at the DNC servers; and Crowdstrike told the Senate there was no evidence of a hack or outside intrusion. Perhaps Quiñones will finally highlight these contradictions and get to the bottom of it? Because, after all, this is part of Brennan’s ICA defense.
What Brennan did not realize we would discover when he wrote the letter in 2022:
In December of 2016, President Obama turned to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and CIA Director John Brennan with a request to change the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) and blame the Russians for election interference in the prior presidential election. Brennan gave the task of assembling the fraudulent intel to a CIA analyst named Julia Gurganus.
Subsequently, inside the CIA the National Intelligence Council (NIC) and the Directorate of Analysis began working on a pretext that would create the impression for the misleading Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), as demanded by Obama, Clapper and Brennan – ultimately constructed by Julia Gurganus.
Inside the National Intelligence Council, one of the key figures who helped create the ICA fabrication was a CIA analyst named Eric Ciaramella.
You might remember the name Eric Ciaramella from the 2019 impeachment effort against President Trump. However, in 2016/2017 Eric Ciaramella was a CIA deputy national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia on the CIA’s National Intelligence Council, at the time the fraudulent Intelligence Community Assessment was created.

I am sure all the readers of CTH wish Attorney Jason Quiñones and the prosecution a very successful 2026. They must remember the more a criminal and his lawyer talks the greater the chance of contradiction. An honest person does not have to keep changing his story.

Actually it is that very technique used by skilled investigators to determine truthful statements. People remember events as they occur. It is easy to trip up someone making up story by asking them to repeat the events in reverse order. 1st, an honest person can remember a sequence of events as they occurred. They’ll have little problem stating the order of events regardless of whether they start at the beginning through to the end, or starting at the end and going backwards to the beginning. They’ll remember events in the order they happened. People making up a story usually can’t remember how they lied especially in a reverse order.

A simpler explanation is that Brennan’s lawyers do know the whole story and have created a defense strategy based on handing a huge pile of narrative ammunition to a friendly judge to justify preemptively shutting down any charges the DOJ might bring against him.
If Brennan’s lawyers can get a friendly judge to agree, the whole prosecution effort might be stopped in its tracks. And if they can’t get the prosecution stopped in its tracks straight away, their next move will be to force a change of venue to DC, where all charges are certain to be dismissed.
Judge Boasberg patiently awaits his opportunity to thwart justice and prevent the truth from coming out….

Brennan and his team sound desparate to get the case moved to DC, which would mean a dismissal. Cannot imagine he has a poor legal team, but they may not be all that much more familiar with the intricacies of what took place than most other people and desparate Brennan probably wants everything thrown in so that no possibility of a dismissal or change of venue is overlooked. Here’s to hoping that the combination of his desparation and their ignorance serves to keep it in Florida.
As an added bonus, if the case stays in Florida it will be harder for his team to object to any of these things being aired in full in front of the jury since they raised them in the first place, and the contradictions SD points to may help him be found guilty.
I’m not an attorney, but I believe these points need to be presented in a court of law before either side can go down the rabbit hole.

In my opinion, Brennan still remains a large influencer of the machinations of the Deep State. Having his clearances removed hasn’t really slowed him down much. The sooner he can be taken off the board, the better.
He needs to be under 24 hour FBI surveillance.

When Brennan is behind bars, I will have faith in our judicial system. Nothing short of conviction for treason will change my mind.
I read the Russian Collusion House Intel Committee’s declassified testimony and Shawn Henry, founder of CrowdStrike, said that there was evidence of infiltration but no evidence of exfiltration. Meaning they saw indications the server was hacked but no evidence it was removed. I cannot recall if Jordan asked him what efforts he made to find evidence of hacking and removal. I just recall I was not impressed with Jordan other than getting them to all swear they saw no evidence of collusion, conspiracy, or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia. He even got Farkas to admit to lying on TV to the public about having seen evidence and spreading it far and wide so it could not be deleted.
The left will tell any lie, break any law, destroy anyone to advance their cause. It is a collection of mental illnesses. We need to take back control of the mental health industry and act accordingly. They cannot be in any position of power or authority over anyone or anyone’s money.
If I remember correctly either Shawn Henry or Brenner or Clapper or Comey was asked about whether the RNC Computers had the same Russian Spy Ware in them in that election or previous ones. The answer was yes but the RNC computers were not checked to see if their data was exfoliated!!#*%#

OK, I read through the replies so far. No one has answered the question Sundance posed. What are the connections between Eric Ciarmella and Julia Gurganus in regards to putting the ICA together? I read that Julia Gurganus was one of the authors of the January ICA. Was Ciarmella one of those also? Does this incriminate either of them?
When the number of people involved exceeded 1024 I began to lose track but I thought that later investigations revealed Julia Gurganus was not the author.

This past August, I remember reading how RARE it is for a U.S. Attorney to be sworn in by the Attorney General, and for it to be conducted in Washington, D.C., instead of the region he/she will be in charge of. AG Bondi swore in Quinones, and did so in Washington D.C.., on August 14th.
