Two gunmen armed with long rifles and handguns opened fire at a crowd of people celebrating the beginning of Hanukkah at Bondi Beach, Australia. 12 people were killed with approximately a dozen more wounded. The attack went on for well over ten minutes as the terrorist shot randomly into the crowd from a park bridge near the beach.
(NEW YORK TIMES) – At least 11 people were killed by gunmen who targeted a Jewish holiday celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney on Sunday, in what the authorities called a terrorist attack. One of the shooters was also killed, the police said.
Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon of the New South Wales Police Force said on Sunday evening that officers had found what they believed to be several improvised explosive devices in a nearby vehicle linked to the suspect who was killed. Bomb disposal units were at the scene, he said. (MORE)
The shooting went on for ten minutes as police were extremely slow to respond. Incredible footage has surfaced of a random civilian running to tackle one of the gunmen and wrestle his rifle away. Alternate video shows the two men for over 10 minutes shooting from the area into the crowd.

Excuse me no questions asked? The firearms have to be locked up in an approved gun cabinet, paperwork has to be filled out on regular basis. Local police inspect the gun cabinet on a regular basis. A gun license is issued with a photo of the owner on it, even if you have a World War 1 rifle that belonged to a relative it is treated in exactly the same way, the authorities also advice you to have it welded up so it can never be used. FACT.
It all depends on the state you live in. Personally there are way too many laws to keep track of so I gave up following them. Lol

Legal firearm owners had to start registering their firearms and apply for permits. Many firearm owners lost their legal firearms in the transition process. To the point where paintball markers and plastic airsoft guns need permits. Some states even have “appearance laws” banning legal firearms, if they look too “tactical”. Because, as you know, criminals and terrorists really value that sort of thing.

The story I heard on the news was that it was a father and son. The guy that was tackled in one video was wearing white pants, and the two guys on the bridge in the long video were both wearing black pants. Something doesn’t add up, literally.

The father arrived in Australia from Syria in 1998 on a student visa, and transferred to a partner visa in 2001. Sajid was believed to be on a resident return visa (RRV) at the time of the shooting.
Naveed was born in Australia in 2001.
Akram is a common Pakistani last name.

The police weren’t just “terribly slow” to respond. They were hiding behind cars. There is a picture of two of the 2 female cops doing absolutely nothing as people were dying.
Also: it was a father-son combo from the Religion of Peace doing the murders.

The Weapons Prohibition Act 1998 was introduced by the then John Howard government after the Port Arthur massacre in 1996 (35 people killed, 23 wounded – by a single gunman armed with an AK-47).
In two federally funded gun buybacks and voluntary surrenders and State Governments’ gun amnesties before and after the Port Arthur Massacre, more than a million firearms were collected and destroyed, which believe it or not, was only about 1/3rd of the national stock.
According to a 2025 review by The Australia Institute, the number of registered firearms has increased by approximately 25% since 1996 (now over 4 million).
Didn’t that country outlaw guns in civilian situations???
