Two gunmen armed with long rifles and handguns opened fire at a crowd of people celebrating the beginning of Hanukkah at Bondi Beach, Australia. 12 people were killed with approximately a dozen more wounded. The shooting went on for ten minutes as police were extremely slow to respond. Incredible footage has surfaced of a random civilian running to tackle one of the gunmen and wrestle his rifle away. Alternate video shows the two men for over 10 minutes shooting from the area into the crowd.

The man who tackled and disarmed the terrorist most likely had no idea how to run the gun. The shooter likely had just discharged the pump action 12 gauge and the bystander did not know he needed to rack the slide to make the gun go bang. It looked like he tried to pull the trigger, but did not know anything about guns (because most are outlawed) and so failed to keep the terrorist from reoffending. A little experience would have made all the difference.
23 seconds into the video a police car drives by the bridge with its sirens screaming, and yet it takes a citizen willing to step onto the bridge and check out how the killers are doing at 6:51 before the police move in.

The police could have taken the killers out at 23 seconds, or at least caused the shots to be pointed somewhere other than at innocent people, but they took the fearful cowards way instead.

Some weeks ago, I caught a headline about ISIS putting out a call for moslems to commit acts of terror all over the world. They wanted them to rise up. Since then, there have been several incidents – at least 4 that I know of here in the US… the DC shooter, and three who were arrested before they could complete their mission. Every single person who supported the toxic narrative that disguises anti-semitism behind anti-Zionism, every person who turned a blind eye to the disgusting protests after the 7th of October, every person who appeases, or covers up for, the ideology behind this is responsible.
No doubt they’ll be more concern shown by officials about a backlash that never occurs, than with the causes of this massacre, and no doubt certain people are already rehearsing their, ‘but we must also remember’ lines after the perfunctory, universal condemnation of violence.
