Sylvester Stallone is one of the honorees and gave some strong remarks about his relationship to President Trump. Below:
I am surprised by Sylvesters’ clear mind. Considering his carreer, acting, hollywood, the media, is is extraordinary that he managed to keep his integrity.
that’s special and I have zero doubts this is what makes the two men want to know each other, talk about things and make it known they are in fact friends.

Concur. Stallone has always been true to himself.
Rocky was a great American movie – a nobody from nowhere becomes the world champion through sheer dedication and hard work. That’s why the movie was so successful, because the ordinary American could relate to the desire to better themselves through hard work and total dedication. Stallone has always been a patriot, and I admire him for that. But I never saw a single Rambo movie and have no desire to.
We just watched Rocky again. I saw it in the theater as a kid. I had forgotten how good a movie it is. Very American. Full of grit and hope as things were falling apart in the mid 70s.
There are several strong principled male actors who hold the line. However, is it odd that I cannot think of any Hollywood women who appear in the same light. This is a quick search found through AI.

I love PDJT to the end but I so wish he wouldn’t throw the press the meat they’re looking for. No freakin’ press deserves a response to any question about Ukraine (or anything) on a night when they’re celebrating the Lincoln Center.. I couldn’t stand to watch it all, because Ric Grenell’s body language was saying it. I wish PDJT would just shun them all and stay focused on the event at hand. Does he not understand that they will never give him respect despite all the interviews he does? Spend time on Mike Johnson and John Thune!
He talks just too much, and doesn’t have to, at times.
I would prefer he would cut back on his questions from the media. Just enough to keep them guessing.
I would prefer that he expel the media entirely. There is no rule that says the President must accommodate the so-called press. They are all communist jackals, and I wish he would be rid of them all.
He could hold press ‘conferences’ in a Biden Basement mockup and they would still miss what he says.
President Trump IS the news cycle. The media desperately depends on, NEEDS, him to fill their columns and fuel their vapid commentary. No matter where he goes or what he does, they swarm with the same tired, venom-laced questions. They can’t even let a moment of beauty or solemnity pass without rushing in as, the jackals they are, to smear it.
I despise them deeply.

I have loved Sylvester Stallone since the first time I saw Rocky along with the rest of America in 1976.
He is authentic. Fame got to him at first. He broke with his first wife, had that affair with the chalaylya from
the movie where he fought the Russian. But finally he settled into a great life and has amazing daughters.
One of whom needed heart surgery after birth.
Lots of us have had rocky startss, mistakes along the way, weren’t serious and preoccupied with having a good time.
Then we get to the age where we settle down, start families and the outlook changes.
For those of us in Stallone’s age category, we were raised in school to love & appreciate America, and now when our country needs us, we are here to do battle in whatever way we can to save and restore our country.
He speaks so eloquently and basic about Trump, he feels JD is genuine and generous, I guess we’ll see. I value his opinion and sense he gets about others.

My dad remembered as a kid what Rocky said early in the movie! I missed it and never went back to hear it again. My dad wasn’t a movie watcher, his last movie he saw ’til then was “The Longest Day” He was a WWII vet Ret. Major on a medical.
