We will never get the truth on the 2020 Steal because it would require revealing that the GOP was fully involved with what happened. Not only did they know about it, but they worked to make sure it was successful in the swing states they controlled. Georgia and Wisconsin come to mind, but there are many others too.
You can make the same argument for J6. They knew exactly what was planned and how these people were being totally set-up. I remember Rush pleading with people on his show to not go to DC….. it smelled like a set-up and it was.

The democrats have a huge advantage. They are looking for people who advocate their major leftward initiatives. They do not spend time and effort trying to purge their ranks of people who embrace their goals, but might be a little too far left. They don’t care. They don’t waste time on it.
Apparently MAGA does not have that advantage. We want only goldilocks supporters — people not too far in either direction on any opinion axis you could think of.
Here is an example in a different direction. I am a fairly orthodox (small o, not Eastern) Christian. I enjoy that there are many other Christians here, just as I enjoy my friends who are agnostics. I’m glad both groups are in the MAGA movement. I’m glad that I haven’t heard people from either of those groups say the others need to be kicked out.
I mention this not to bring religion into the discussion, but as an example that it is not a good idea to be too restrictive about one’s political associates –especially when being cheered on in the endeavor by clear, long-time political enemies.

As far as K-12 schools – until the teacher and curriculum situation is addressed at a LOCAL level, nothing will improve. I would also give caution to looking at “national averages” or other touted metrics, as you look under the hood you’ll find that the poorest performing areas are fairly consistently with high percentages of foreign born students, illegal aliens, and non-English speakers. Go look at the post I made yesterday about Charlotte NC for an example – some 75% of the students didn’t show up to school because “ICE is in the city.”

I think that it’s very important to look at “MAGA” as being much more than “an acronym on a red hat.” It is not “a thing,” like “Tea Party.”
The initials represent what must be a national imperative. Because, if you don’t strive to make [your_country] “great,” in every thing that you do and that you negotiate, no one else on earth ever will. (Nor should you expect them to.) Of course you should expect them to try to take advantage of you – if you let them.
The USA finds itself in its present predicament because of many, many decades of corruption and mismanagement. Other countries realized this and were very happy to take advantage of it.

And these things appear on FarceBook from people who do not – somehow – realize how ridiculous it is to push them every day for months!!!

I suppose this is needed since people want to continue to pretend MAGA is ultra conservative. It isn’t. I would be fine if it was as I lean in that direction, but the MAGA movement isn’t. It’s a big tent and contains all types of Americans. Ultra conservatives could never win the rust belt that is just a fact. Social conservatives could never win the rust belt that is just a fact. Fiscal conservatives could never win the rust belt or anywhere.
MAGA could and did win the rust belt because it includes right of center Americans, moderate Americans and left of center Americans. MAGA could move the blue states to the right because it includes some left of center Americans. MAGA could win the South because it includes conservatives, moderates and yes some left of center Americans.
The only thing MAGA doesn’t contain is crazy leftists, Marxists, communists, and endless war wackos.
This purity test that some want to try to stamp on the movement is disingenuous and shows that they don’t understand the movement and its mostly coming from the libertarians and far right arm. I’m sure some of the left of center and moderates will join in at some point.
The goal of MAGA is in its name, to make America great again. It isn’t to make America conservative again, though IMO that would be needed long term to truly make her great again, but any movement to the right will help.
There are policies pushed by the Trump admin that will anger each group at some point. Some may want less spending. Some may not like the tariffs; some may want less foreign involvement,; some more. Some may want better health outcomes with MAHA, less vaccines, better food system. Some may want more arrests and convictions. The list of different wants is endless.
The list of immediate needs is far shorter and most of those are being addressed by the admin.
We need a good economy. We need less war. We need less drugs. We need better education system. We need a stronger main street.
We need good jobs. We need less illegal cheap labor. We need less spending on stupid shit like DEI. We need upward mobility within our country. We need to be a nation state. We need less government. We need less welfare. We need more private sector input. We need less fraud. We need consequences for illegal behavior. There are other needs but I am running out of space.
Trump and his admin are addressing those needs as best they are able and IMO doing a fantastic job. I might not agree with every little thing, but for the vast majority of policies I agree.
Now, you can pretend that being “OG” maga is important or more MAGA then someone else but it isn’t.
I, and most of us, don’t care when you joined the movement. We don’t care if you are ultra conservative, right center, moderate or left of center. What I and IMO most of MAGA cares about is if you are going to row the boat with the rest of MAGA or if you are going to attempt a mutiny every time something doesn’t go your way.
Trump was upfront on what he was going to do. He detailed pretty much every action he has taken so far during the campaign. The vast majority of us don’t have any regrets and are happy that we are getting what we voted for. Sure some of us would like more or faster, etc.
Some people voted for Trump because he wasn’t Kamala and hoped he wasn’t serious about his campaign promises or thought they could change him after he got into office. Those people are mostly pannikins and dormers now. The rest of us are loving every second of this administration.
So those who want to attempt the mutiny option shouldn’t be surprised when the crew makes them walk the plank regardless of how long they were on the ship.
