All the years and just tonight for the first time I noticed the cross in the right hand window of the church in the middle of God’s beautiful creation, aflame with the colors of autumn – or perhaps with the Holy Spirit.
As many may be travelling next week to spend time with family or friends on Thanksgiving, I pray their journeys are safe, their love is strong, and their time filled with laughter, thanks, and blessings from above. May broken bonds be mended and existing ones be strengthened. Wherever you go, may His Holy Spirit be with you, guide you, and light your souls on fire.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 308 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.
PDJT has skin in the game and he AND HE & HIS FAMILY have suffered as a result of his Leadership commitment. We should all have as much commitment! As I see it, a leader must have a defined agenda and set priorities- and follow them. The peripheral matters get secondary attention, or are handled by support units. We The People must be just as committed and acting in full as support of proven leadership. I am encouraged that PDJT has a sovereign world leadership team, Putin, Xi, MBS, and others in support and acting in conjunction with a full understanding of the need for World change. I believe that many of the billionaire’s and controlling business/industrial leaders are seeing ( and feeling ) the impact of changes that are occurring, and recognizing the need to comply or face the consequences. We the People are the base unit for controlling these economic cycles and the needed pressured changes. These billionaires will continue to benefit only if they remain within those standards. Everyone retires with their pension in mind. Even Andrew McCabe, who was fired before he could receive his pension, sued to get it.
That’s true and most everyone would do it, however it’s the timing of it all that is just highly suspect.
Why now is she abruptly leaving? What is she afraid of to get her to quit like she just did? Does she think she would lose if another Repub was in the primary for her seat? Are there things in her background that she’s afraid that would be exposed?
It’s almost the same scenario as her buddy Matt Gaetz ran through. Abruptly gone from the high end political front lines. Maybe she will be doing what he is and be part of the alt news scene or have her own blog on substack or elsewhere. But why really is she leaving this way?
She knows what’s going to happen in 2026 for Republicans.
Best to disappear from the public eye now and re-emerge in 2027 as a Presidential candidate.
I give her credit. She’s smart. Most of the folks’ political careers in this administration are cooked, and they know it.
In Washington D. C. the bottom line is always money. How can she in 5 or less years go to $25,000,000? Unless she was independently wealthy to start.
I do not begrudge people making lots of good money. The better for everyone else. But being paid by people on small pensions is greed.

Personally, I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
I addressed the money question in the thread Sundance started about her quitting. Over 100 stock trades PER YEAR in her time in Congress. If you or I or any of her constituents committed insider trading like she did, they would end up in jail. The sad fact that most of CONgress does it is absolutely no excuse for the abhorrent behavior.
She abandoned the people that voted for her, giving up because she got her feelers hurt. That indicates that all of the things she said was BS. If she really believed any of it, she should have stayed and fought for them, NOT subjected them to the cost and risks associated with a special election, and honored her commitment to them made when she ran.
Then she turns around and stays just long enough to take more money from the very same little people she pretended to be the defender of. If she had a lick of self respect she would donate every penny of that money to the people of her district that sent her there via local organizations that help those in need. She has more than enough of her own wealth, so much that even if she only made a few percent interest on it, it would supply her with a larger income than likely 98% of her district inhabitants.

What if…upon leaving office they have to undergo a forensic audit, if the capital gains on their portfolio is equal to or greater than the pension amount, they forfeit the pension.

It is a small monthly pension she is not even eligible for til age 60 (something like $8000 a year) from what I read elsewhere.
I looked for the pension terms for Congress. A full pension requires 62 years of age and 5 years of service. The full pension is capped at 80% of highest salary earned. On an average salary for congressman of $174,000 that’s about $140,000. I believe they also get the congressional free healthcare for life.

Let’s just give young Mr. Mamdani enough time to discover what the Office of the Mayor actually consists of. Right now, he thinks it’s far more autonomous and powerful than it is. He will quickly learn.

I have noted earlier that young folks who took a chance voting for Trump in 2024 need real obvious proof that good things are happening to vote “Republican” in 2026.
There have been videos of inner city folks praising the works Trump has done, “with the flip of a pen”. And almost getting emotional asking what has been happening for years and decades that that’s all it took.

I never really took the time to define MAGA because it was such a mish-mash of different people with different beliefs, i.e. white collar, blue collar, legal immigrant, college educated, stay-at-home-moms, working moms, retired, law enforcement, entrepreneurs, families, singles, Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists, agnostics, atheists, heterosexual, homosexual, LGTBIQ+, each being drawn to Trump for different policy reasons but all (I think) with one common denominator: to stop the demonology of our country and to save our children.

I suppose this is needed since people want to continue to pretend MAGA is ultra conservative. It isn’t. I would be fine if it was as I lean in that direction, but the MAGA movement isn’t. It’s a big tent and contains all types of Americans. Ultra conservatives could never win the rust belt that is just a fact. Social conservatives could never win the rust belt that is just a fact. Fiscal conservatives could never win the rust belt or anywhere.
MAGA could and did win the rust belt because it includes right of center Americans, moderate Americans and left of center Americans. MAGA could move the blue states to the right because it includes some left of center Americans. MAGA could win the South because it includes conservatives, moderates and yes some left of center Americans.
The only thing MAGA doesn’t contain is crazy leftists, Marxists, communists, and endless war wackos.
This purity test that some want to try to stamp on the movement is disingenuous and shows that they don’t understand the movement and its mostly coming from the libertarians and far right atm. I’m sure some of the left of center and moderates will join in at some point.
The goal of MAGA is in its name, to make America great again. It isn’t to make America conservative again, though IMO that would be needed long term to truly make her great again, but any movement to the right will help.
There are policies pushed by the Trump admin that will anger each group at some point. Some may want less spending. Some may not like the tariffs, some may want less foreign involvement, some more. Some may want better health outcomes with MAHA, less vaccines, better food system. Some may want more arrests and convictions. The list of different wants is endless.
The list of immediate needs is far shorter and most of those are being addressed by the admin.
We need a good economy. We need less war. We need less drugs. We need better education system. We need a stronger main street. We need good jobs. We need less illegal cheap labor. We need less spending on stupid shit like DEI. We need upward mobility within our country. We need to be a nation state. We need less government. We need less welfare. We need more private sector input. We need less fraud. We need consequences for illegal behavior. There are other needs but im running out of space.
Trump and his admin are addressing those needs as best they are able and IMO doing a fantastic job. I might not agree with every little thing, but for the vast majority of policies I agree.
Now, you can pretend that being “OG” maga is important or more MAGA then someone else but it isn’t.

I don’t think it is our morals, exactly, that are being exploited, but you’re on the right track. What most dupes and useful idiots fall victim to is more accurately described as virtue signaling.
A moral character in the strictest sense does not let the right hand know what the left hand is doing. Moral character speaks for itself and requires no outside affirmation.
There is no preening for the cameras or the “likes.” One possessed of moral character is more likely than not to stand alone in their beliefs, as having the courage of your convictions is a rare quality that many do not share.
“FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” is a very unique response from one who just got shot in the head. Most immediate reactions would be fear and shock.

Would it help going forward in implementing much needed changes that require CONgressional approval?
There will likely come a time when such tactics will need to be used, for sure in private and possibly in public, to get the treaty ratified – but IMO now is not such a time.
But the reality is that Russia started this war for a reason, and they are winning. It wasn’t simply, “oh boy, here’s my opportunity to invade!” The fact is that the Ukranian proxy army was within days of invading, and Russia simply seized the military advantage by striking first. It has never lost that advantage since.
They are not going to stop fighting until the root causes are properly recognized and addressed. There will be no “cease fire,” which would only give Europe time to re-arm its proxy and start all over again. Russia has already been through that – twice. They were lied-to in “Minsk 1” and then again in “2.”
The war will probably end with military surrender, but on Russian terms. Handing EU/NATO a defeat which they won’t want to accept. And yet, most of the Ukranian state will continue to exist, and not under military occupation.

After the War, Adolf Heusinger, instead of facing trial for war crimes became military advisor to Konrad Adenauer, the first West German Chancellor and played a key role in forming the West German army, the Bundeswehr in 1955 and was consequently re-enrolled in the military as Lieutenant General late that year. He would replace the aforementioned Spiedel in March 1957 as Chief of the All-Armed Forces Department and in short order be promoted to full General and the Inspector General of the Army in June that year.
Heusinger however would rise to newer and higher heights. In 1961 he was promoted to Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, in that position he was head of that Committee which advises the North Atlantic Council on strategy and tactics. It made him the most senior military figure of the alliance and effectively its Chief of Staff.
Unlike many of those who were murdered under his command, Heusinger retired in 1964 and lived til the ripe old age of eighty-five. Whilst he was detained for two years post war he never faced trial nor paid for the war crimes and atrocities he and those under his command committed. Instead, he was employed by the West German state as an advisor and then later a general before he was snapped up by the international military alliance that purports to defend democracy. Heusinger enjoyed eighteen years of retirement.

This is going to be problem for President Trump, it’s not his fault but the left will try to blame it on him, they are already saying it’s because Trump mentioned it and it is causing chaos in the market. They are predicting ground beef at $10 dollars a pound. Drought in the US and Biden’s policies caused ranchers to reduce beards to 1960’s levels. That follows by a drought in beef producing regions of South America. Trump wants to deregulate so smaller packers would be profitable. Right now only a few foreign owned companies control all beef processing. Competition would help. More imports would help, but it will take years to bring the US herd to 2020 levels. This will be a huge issue at the midterms as ground beef has been a staple and good affordable source of protein.

Even ground beef has become unaffordable in some parts. Families I know receive most of their meat protein from low cost chicken thighs.
It’s certainly unfair to blame President Trump for the beef situation. That makes it even more critical that we explain clearly and simply to the American people how we got here over the years with beef prices, and how we are never going to let it happen again.

The rich and government connected people and corporations have driven the small farmer out of the chicken business through government regulations and big ag now owns and controls it.
The same happened to the pork production.

Now they have regulated the small packers out and are trying to regulate the small farmer out of cattle. For example; You can’t sell meat that is not USDA inspected. The USDA refuses to send an inspector so you are out of business.
President Trump said he was going to open more federal land to grazing. How much of that land do you think will be leased to farmers with less than 100 head of cattle?
This problem has been years in the making and it will take three years for herd numbers to start to recover.
We were buying farm raised grass fed and finished ground meat in 2024 for $6.99 per pound plus shipping from the rancher out of Colorado (Meyer). Meyer of Colorado is now asking $12.09 per pound for the same ground meat. So We’ve adjusted sources and are now getting 85/15 grass fed/finished ground beef for $6.99 to $7.99 per pound from our local grocer who buys it from a ranch in New Jersey of all places. Some ranchers are doing some price gouging it seems.
Instead of importing butchered beef from Argentina we should import the whole live cows. The problem with rebuilding herds could be expedited by buying herds from safe foreign countries and allocating them to small ranchers in areas with enough land to raise them and granting more areas held by the Government for grazing.
Part of the job description of being “the President” is that everything is blamed on you by somebody. It’s lonely at the top.

Both the ranchers and retail outlets work on slim margins. Most of the profit goes to the packers and other 3rd party distributors. I know several cattle ranchers who would love not to have sell their cows at a stockyard, but sell to a local packer, plus it would drive down the transportation costs
We’ve talked about this issue on a number of occasions in recent months and it’s good to periodically do so to help people understand. The President has taken actions on this – some of which of course there have been detractors of, including people on the one hand complaining of prices and on the other complaining of allowing foreign beef into the country.
One important thing to understand is that he understands one of the core issues is the meat processing companies, including the foreign ownership of some. He’s addressed it in two ways – one is working to make it easier for smaller processors to exist (which of course there are naysayers and doomers stating it will never work…in spite of the fact it does). Then there is the push to investigate the practices of the monopolistic processors.

I am enjoying watching various government officials try to weasel out of charges of “mortgage fraud.” These crimes are usually so easy to prove that a judge can issue a so-called “directed judgment” without conducting a trial or convening a jury.
The documents are public. They are sworn statements bearing a notary’s seal. The notary attests to the identity of the signer, who must execute the document in their presence. So, now the judge simply lays them out side-by-side and see if they are consistent. The only other alternative being that they are necessarily fraudulent.
There is no middle ground – nothing for a jury to have to decide. The sworn documents speak for themselves. And, you signed them. Somebody who had already identified you, watched you do it, and then affixed his or her seal in testament. If you did it, with no one holding a gun to your head, then you intended to do it. If the statements are false, then you knew it.
I find it a bit interesting that there appears to be no national database that banks can use to check for other mortgage applications in conducting “due diligence.” At least I don’t know of one.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has rolled back a previous ruling that required U.S. telecom carriers to implement stricter cybersecurity measures following the massive hack from the Chinese threat group known as Salt Typhoon.
The ruling came in January 2025 and took effect immediately under the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), in response to Salt Typhoon’s breaching multiple carriers to spy on private communications.
Along with Section 105 of the CALEA, the declaratory ruling included a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for telecom companies to:
Create and implement cybersecurity risk-management plans
Submit annual FCC certifications proving they were doing so
Treat general network cybersecurity as a legal obligation
Following lobbying from telecommunication firms – according to a letter from Senator Maria Cantwell, that found the new framework too cumbersome and taxing for their operations, the FCC has now deemed the prior rule inflexible, retracting it.
