Was following up on an article carried on Just the News regarding a major recall of Blood Pressure medicine by Teva Pharmaceuticals US. As is my habit, I pulled up an article describing Teva Pharmaceuticals … see link below. They have major operation in their home country (Israel) as well as the US, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, EU Locations and more.

President Trump needs to look at these guys when working the issue of drug pricing differences between ON-Shore vs OFF-Shore sales. It is NOT just the BIG Pharma companies doing the gouging.

Corporations like Walmart have the ‘stealing’ already baked in to their business model. If shoplifting was really a concern to a company like Walmart they would not have retirees being greeters at the doors instead of some big burly guys. 🤔 Perhaps Walmart should be fined / taxed on the 6.5 billion dollars in theft, instead of insurance covering it and the rest being a deductable expense.
Walmart is stealing our tax dollars themselves. Look at how many Walmart employees are on SNAP and Medicaid and you will understand. Walmart can afford to pay their employees better and supply company subsidized health insurance. They don’t have to pay the whole premium, just a portion of it. A Walmart group would be big enough to get good premiums.
Need to be fair when discussing “the cost of theft and looting” being baked into prices by ALL retailers located in Areas and States where the Local and State Governments have written into to law that there will be NO ARREST as well as NO INVESTIGATION (therefore NO PERSECUTION) for thefts that do not reach a SPECIFIED threshold well over $1,000 per incident.
When local and State Governments essentially AUTHORIZE individuals to steal $1,000’s of dollars worth of merchandise … Insurers will not cover it …. so what is their recourse??

Apparently not everyone in NYC. Saw man in the street interviews today and more than half said they were voting for Mamdani because they want new and younger representation. Agree ! Boasberg has been profoundly partisan. Impeachment proceedings would likely reveal additional instance of obvious partisan bias and develop a record that would support recusal motions in appropriate cases should he survive.
It would also provide an opportunity for public discourse on the issue of whether D.C. – – the seat of government – – should have its own Federal District AND Federal Court of Appeals. The Federal Government enjoys a D.C. jury pool closely connected and economically tied to its interests. Justice in D.C. is subject to the “House” advantage in casino gaming.
The entire D.C. District / Circuit court apparatus should be dismantled. .
The U.S. Constitution does not require “impeachment” to remove a federal judge. They made it up, as only “lawyers” no how.
That’s because the US Constitution does not explicitly create federal judges — it allocates that authority to Congress.
Congress creates the inferior courts, and by logical extension creates the rules. What is “good Behaviour”? Much like impeaching the President, it is not explicitly spelled out. Congress could certainly decide that what Boasberg did is not “good Behaviour” and remove him.
Impeachment, especially with a trial exposing corruption, will do enough damage to a judges’ reputation that they will be forced to resign. Otherwise they will be constantly recused or overturned for suspicious conduct.
I am not generally in favor of mass judge impeachment. That would be politically abused.
However, if there was ever a solid legitimate case for grounds of impeachment…this is it. It needs to happen.
And even just this one impeachment would make some of those other activist judges, who think they are untouchable judicial dictators, think twice.

Tell me again are not in the middle of a judicial insurrection. Unelected judges taking over the Executive and the Congress with potentially illegal orders to the treasury and other administrative organs. Giving orders to the President no less with regard to funding.

I have no idea what his plan may be but from watching him as a developer, particularly in NYC I know this much, when the golden bridge offers stop it comes from all sides. He has always been a street fighter at heart.
SCOTUS will NEVER clip its own – this bench is full of weak-willed cowards and at this point in the devolution of the empire, there is little reason to believe that ANY strong leaders will be nominated there any time soon.

As Democrats such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries excoriated President Donald Trump yesterday for attending a golf event four days before a potential government shutdown, saying it was “outrageous,” Playbook has learned that a group of Senate Democrats are planning their own excursion that could collide with a shutdown.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) has circulated an invitation obtained by Playbook for a “Napa Retreat” for the DSCC on Oct. 13 and 14. Should the government shut down next week, the retreat could fall on what might be day 12 of a shutdown. The itinerary features accommodations at the Hotel Yountville, with a resort and spa that “extends a Tuscan-European vibe,” and a wine tour and dinner at the Staglin Family Vineyards amid its wine caves.
The plans for the luxury trip come amid Trump administration threats of mass firings of federal workers.
A Democrat briefed on the event tells us it also is slated to include Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.), who is campaigning for her state’s open Senate seat as a gritty daughter of the Midwest. A Stevens invite establishes the closest link so far between Stevens and the DSCC’s preference for her in Michigan’s three-way primary among Stevens, state Sen. Mallory McMorrow and former public health official Abdul El-Sayed. The event is also said to feature a crypto roundtable on its sidelines, this person said.
Spokespeople for Stevens and the DSCC did not dispute the details of this story, and both declined to comment. Asked whether the event would go on amid a shutdown, the DSCC spokesperson declined to answer.

ESPN, ABC, and other Disney channels go dark on YouTube TV
Google and Disney have failed to reach a contract renewal agreement, leaving YouTube TV subscribers with fewer channels.
More than 20 Disney-owned channels, including ESPN, ABC, and Nat Geo, have been pulled from YouTube TV after Google and Disney failed to reach a new content distribution agreement. The previous contract expired at 11:59 PM ET on October 30th, and it’s unclear when, or if, the two companies will reach a new deal.
The blackout was prompted by disagreements over carriage fees, with Google saying in a blog post published last week that Disney was “proposing costly economic terms that would raise prices on YouTube TV customers.” That same post was updated at 11:15PM on Thursday, claiming that Disney had followed through on threats to pull its channels from YouTube TV, which Google described as a “negotiating tactic.”
“We know this is a frustrating and disappointing outcome for our subscribers, and we continue to urge Disney to work with us constructively to reach a fair agreement that restores their networks to YouTube TV,” Google said in the statement. “If their content remains off YouTube TV for an extended period of time, we’ll offer subscribers a $20 credit.”
The full list of removed Disney-owned channels includes: ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, FX, FXX, FXM, SEC Network, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, ABC News Live, ACC Network, and Localish. For YouTube TV subscribers on the Spanish plan, ESPN Deportes, Baby TV Español, and Nat Geo Mundo have also been pulled. The removals impact recordings and on-demand content saved to YouTube TV users’ libraries.
The Verge has reached out to Disney for comment. In a statement to Variety, Disney said that YouTube TV “has chosen to deny their subscribers the content they value most by refusing to pay fair rates for our channels, including ESPN and ABC,” and claims that Google is “using its market dominance to eliminate competition and undercut the industry-standard terms.”
A similar breakdown between Google and Disney occurred in 2021 at the end of their previous contracts. Meanwhile, NBCUniversal announced earlier this month that it had reached a renewal deal with Google, following an agreement to a short extension that prevented its channels from going dark on YouTube TV.
