Huang owns approximately 3% of Nvidia’s stock, and in 2025, Forbes estimated his net worth at $164 billion, ranking him as the sixth-wealthiest person in the world.

He has received numerous accolades, including the IEEE Founders Medal (2020), the VinFuture Prize (2024), and the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (2025). He was named Fortune’s Businessperson of the Year in 2017 and ranked first on Harvard Business Review’s list of the world’s best-performing CEOs in 2019.

In recent statements, Huang expressed concern over U.S. export controls that have effectively reduced Nvidia’s market share in China’s advanced AI chip market from 95% to zero, barring sales of high-performance chips like the A100, H100, and H200 since 2022.

He has advocated for a more balanced approach, warning that excluding Chinese AI researchers—representing about half of the global total—from using American technology could harm both nations and cede technological leadership to domestic competitors like Huawei.

Huang has also been active in global policy discussions, meeting with political leaders including U.S. President Donald Trump and attending international forums such as the APEC CEO Summit in South Korea.
He emphasized that U.S. leadership in AI could be strengthened by enabling global developers, including those in China, to build on American platforms. Nvidia plans to build seven new AI supercomputers for the U.S. Department of Energy and reported $500 billion in advanced chip bookings as of late 2025.

A cousin of AMD CEO Lisa Su, Huang is recognized not only as a technological visionary but also as a philanthropist, having donated $30 million to Stanford and $50 million to Oregon State University for engineering research centers

I believe 6+ years ago Xi made commitments to the USA which he never fulfilled.

Upfront purchase orders or direct cash transfers for purchases of soybeans, etc., would be helpful.

Sundance hasn’t explained how a deal w China can cut out Canada, or I missed it.

** Separate but related: in all of these bring back American manufacturing moves, I’ve seen nothing about our overgrown, untapped Federal forests.

A MASSIVE Federal plan to thin / replant / manage our Federal forests, especially out West, would have multiple benefits:

– local jobs
– local lumber products – shipping in less wood from Canada
– revitalized logging industry
– REDUCE THE SIZE OF ‘SUPER FIRES’
– which should help reduce insurance rates, which are hammering home owners and businesses
– less pollution
– on Federal lands, whi h theoretically should have less road blocks
