Odds are she takes a plea deal to avoid a trial, pays a small fine, and gets some sort of probation. It’s just not something that is prosecuted heavily from what I’ve seen. She doesn’t have a criminal record, and one count means she did it one time. If the bank found and reported it, that hurts her claim that it’s just malicious prosecution.
I’d bet against her taking any plea.
Yes, she may take a plea deal and only get probation. That is fine. Because in order to take a plea, she must first admit lying on the loan applications and attesting to them (lying under oath). This perjury will then be documented and she will either lose or have her law license suspended or revoked. Same thing happened to Bill Clinton and others. It’s the lying that gets them every time.
