My dad listened to the live radio broadcast of the Senate hearings… The media, even in that day was out to get McCarthy…..My dad was a WW2 Marine vet and he and his buddies would talk about the “commie” threat and that was the 50’s….

It is not just the EU, it has been the US. Some 300 billion plus of Russian money was impounded, and stolen. You of course know that they cannot yet trust the US, with a civil war ongoing for control of the US. The US itself ran the color revolution in Ukraine that started the murder of 10 thousand or so Russina speaking Ukraine citizens. The sanctions forced Russia to cooperate and further develope BRICS, ( which is essentially Trump’s “rational Nationalism” writ large and formalised.)
Russia is smart, and will not let China have leverage over them to any great degree. There are centuries of history showing the foolishness of invading Russia. Russia is actually far more prepared for war, even a nuclear war then the US. They are wary, but not afraid of China.
Again, Donald Trump is amazing, and has been walking a tightrope, supporting Ukraine as little as possible while appeasing the neocon republicans for policy support perhaps. However I think there is a real danger of overplaying the US hand, Even if Russia trusted the US, which rationally they can’t, they cannot trust Europe.

I’m Starting to lean towards Martial Law coming, considering Trump is having to still deal with these lower courts. We already know War is coming but Civil unrest is rising exponentially around the globe. I’m actually torn between a free society and Martial Law but a free society doesn’t mean you get to become violent and break any law you feel doesn’t apply to you.
