Praying that the refusal of our legislators to pass a needed national budget will result in wise actions by our President that will lead this nation toward better stewardship of the blessings God has given us as a nation. Praying that this nation, one citizen at a time, beginning with me, will seek to understand our Lord and Creator, submit to his wonderful law and principles. Praying that we as a nation can, one individual at a time love each other in a way that reflects the Love of God, that we can hold our boundaries of freedom as a nation, to preserve our inalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Lord thank you for the strength exhibited in President Trump, Rubio, Miller, Vance, Gabbard. Please guide all of them, help Kash, Bondi, many others, and each of us as parents, siblings, citizens, follow you and effectively cast all forces aside that hinder us from understanding you and keep us from being transformed into your reflection, your hands, your feet, your love.
Help us be salt of preservation, light in the darkness, and a foundation of faith, strength, and assurance because of the Grace and Mercy of our Creator.

The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.

Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 255 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

Do our active military members still get paid during a shutdown?
Yes. All services deemed essential get paid normally. Pre-existing contracts are still paid. Its only non-essential services that are shut down.
This is one reason President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill was so important; it paid for all the services he deemed critical already. Deportations will continue, the wall and our military are fully funded. Social security checks will go out on time.
In fact, so little is likely to change with the shutdown the uninformed might not even know its happening.

So much good news yesterday. But the #1 for me was:

And that is exactly what I think that whole thing was primarily about.

If an illegal invader self-deports, they get a free plane ride home and $1000 for their healthcare. That is a very generous gift from US Citizens.
It is a lot cheaper than the alternatives of funding them to live here or funding ICE to catch, try and deport them.
But they had to pay the cartels a lot more than that to get here.
They apprehend an illegal, they are taken to a detention center locally where they’ll spend roughly a month sorting details. Next they will be transferred from state to state until a hearing ( on average three months) to determine their asylum status.
Is that current. Well over 1.4 million are gone so far.
Indeed, it is a small small fraction of the costs of keeping them here. Seriously, those costs are easily reach 5 to 10 k a year on average.
Plus all the money they banked under the AutoPen Reign Of Terror, they are doin’ alright..

About a month or so ago, I took a trip through GA to AL. On the way back, there was a section of I-20, which runs east/west, where there was more Georgia Department of Public Safety vehicles positioned along the highway and overpasses than I had ever seen in my life. There was also teams of 4 or more Georgia State Patrol cars along with them. The were pulling over truck drivers only. They probably had 10 pulled over in a stretch of 2 miles, blue lights everywhere. Never seen anything like it. It was nice to see.

In the past the shutdowns caused real hard feelings between the essential and non-essential. The essential group had to show up for work but not get paid for it until the shutdown was ended. The non-essential group got to stay home, but also got paid retroactively when the shutdown ended as if they had worked their regular hours. I remember employees asking to be declared non-essential ahead of a looming shutdown. What a way to run a government.
