Wouldn’t we be better off if the entire system for processing green card and work visa requests was backlogged with a 4 year wait time because there was nobody to process them? I don’t understand how it benefits American workers to streamline the process of putting non-citizens into the American work force to compete for American jobs. Perhaps someone could explain this to me.
A thought to contemplate….what is the normal rate of accepting and approving an application for a visa green card, etc. How long does it take to work through that process? How does the govt. vet those who would be hired to do this job? What are the safeguards, if any, against AI creating false identities for those doing the vetting and those applying for the cards? How much data, history, etc, is needed to get approved for visa, green card, etc? Who would have the wit and wisdom to do this job truthfully and legal and actually be hired? How do so many crooks thieves and criminals get through this vetting system to do their dirty work here in our country? If you let someone in who is a terrorist can you be charged with a crime, sentenced and put in jail? Hmmmmmm.

The ones Miller is talking about are GS5-7 which is $35K-$55K/yr. Although possibly good pay in some parts of the country, the starting pay is basically poverty level. In the USA today, roughly $33,000 yr for a family of 4 is living at the poverty line.
I think the best thing patriots can do is report concerning businesses to ICE when out and about at restaurants, hotels, etc.

I clicked. Selected remote (work from home). Got ZERO listings. If the government wants to tap into a temporary workforce with maximum flexibility and no need for benefits, they should offer remote work contacts to seniors. Our bodies won’t accommodate getting to a job site and sitting on office chairs 40 hours a week, but our minds are still good. Most seniors have a good work ethic and can easily work part time, remote.

I think there might be some confusion in this post. After reviewing the Job Listings and FAQ’s at the USCIS site, there are no ‘Remote/Work-from-Home’ jobs listed. I think Stephen’s reference to ‘Stay Local’ might be misinterpreted as ‘remote’.
In some of the job descriptions, it states “Location Negotiable after Selection”, but I think it implies that one would choose at which Field Office they would want to work.
For those interested, the majority of the positions are full time with pay starting at $34,454 and includes a ‘comprehensive benefit package’.
There is a filter on the USCIS site to “only show remote jobs”. Currently, there are 0 (zero) remote jobs available.
There are no remote jobs in the federal government anymore. Only military spouses and, under certain circumstances, disabled people can work from home.

I heard some criticisms of his remarks at Charlie Kirk’s funeral. Not from me. It was the exact speech I’d give, if I was more eloquent.
I don’t think Miller cares what his job title is, or how many jobs he actually has. He’s like a heat-speaking missile, and I’m glad he’s on our side.
Years ago, while working for the Feds, I realized I was the only one of my peers (65 total in my position) who actually read our regulations and enforced them — to the angst of the military we dealt with every day, and the Marines in particular.
Everyone else in my position across the U.S. let military leadership tell them what to do, even though what they were being told to do was against regulation. I always said “No” when told to break the regulations, which lead the rule breakers to call people higher on the monkey tree to ‘talk some sense into me.’
I always said no, and told them to change the regs, then I’ll change what we do.
One year, at a national Marine Corp retreat for our area of military service, my name was brought up and I was talked about, because “I” was causing problems.

Nope, I was doing my job and was not going to be bullied into doing what was wrong because someone else did not do their job right.
The HQ Commander of the department I worked for was contacted, and he fully backed me.
And everyone else had to change their regs to match our’s, which they’d agreed to years earlier, but just didn’t do.
I say all of this knowing that every peon working within the federal government can make a difference if they want to.
Old and long retired, I read the application and am seriously thinking about going back to work for our country. The worse part of the entire process, as far as this old lady is concerned, is being away from home for 5 weeks of training in South Carolina. That and getting all my paperwork together, after packing it away years ago and thinking I’d never work again.
