From everything I’ve read about this conflict, Russia’s main goal is to absorb the eastern Russian-speaking provinces, as per their request. Conquering Ukraine is not their objective; however, it may be past time for Putin to send the troops to Kiev and occupy it with the promise that as soon as “Little Z” is out of office, they pack their bags and head back to Russia.

I’m not so sure on this view. I think Trump has a deeper appreciation of the BRICS block than he did. He smoked out Modi’s true allegiance and fence straddling. He has seen Putin move more to China, North Korea, India. I think he understands the BRICS end game now and has maybe reluctantly accepted that the Ukraine war, even though it is not how he would have addressed BRICS, might be a piece needed for the US to battle against BRICS. I feel confident that Bessent understands the framework of BRICS as a threat to the dollar and Trump seems close to Bessent. So the big picture for Trump is always economic security and if he views Russia and BRICS as threatening US economic security then supporting Ukraine might now make sense. He already removed the funding of the corruption in Ukraine instead pivoting to being the arms provider and he obtained the mineral rights. Maybe in his mind Ukraine can be supported as a wedge to BRICS.

The Ukrainians are out manned all over the long front lines. They have been and are losing territory daily. The only way Ukraine could turn it around is by escalating. If Moldova turns into a new front, it will be Moldovans dying daily.

If I was in Trump’s shoes, I can’t say I’d do anything differently. He tried to make peace with Ukraine and Russia. They weren’t interested. Now the EU wants us to go over there and die for their failing globalist cause. We’ll sell them some guns instead. Problem with selling the E.U. munitions is it will force Putin to eventually turn to the root source when things start landing and taking place deep in Russia . We (US) have spent the last 40 years paying China to build factories to sell us crap, and Trump has tariffed imports, idling a lot of factory production. Once China makes the retooling conversion to weapons manufacturing, they will have massive production, sitting pretty like the US was pre-WW1 selling arms to everyone. That’s really how the US became a superpower, sitting on the sidelines selling weapons to anyone who would fight.

Since 2002 President Putin has repeatedly said that Russia objects to Nato on the Russian border — and nobody in the US or in Erurope is prepared to respond. ( It is as though he does not speak.) When will President Trump recognise Putin’s demand and sign a treaty to preclude Nato advancing into Ukraine.
For real? Trump was going to give him that, 90% of the Donbas, economic cooperation, and new elections in Ukraine. Trump only said Ukraine would never be part of NATO 100 times.

Actually, you are wrong. Trump cannot “give” what isn’t his to give. Zelensky was not agreeable to any of the things you listed that Trump was willing to “give”. Zelensky and the EU/UK were also not agreeable to those terms.
There have been “real” negotiations. Neither side will budge. The reason that all of this has went nowhere is because Europe and UK want a major war and they would really like to rope the US in to do their fighting with very little coming from themselves. The last Moldova elections were rigged. There is a massive diaspora of Moldovans in both Europe and Russia.

Give Moldova back to Romania, with minor border adjustments, and make similar to the Romanian Kingdom’s territory awarded by the Treaty of Versailles in 1919.
They speak Romanian and were taken by Stalin’s USSR in 1940. The fact that they were part of the Tsarist Empire should have no bearing as they were a conquered people for hundreds of years.
