When will something be done about the politicians, including Hilary, inciting violence? Hilary just said that white Christian men are dangerous. How many more white Christian men are going to get killed now? Newsom said ICE needed to be taken down, and just today we get a shooter. These threats are not being taken seriously.
I have to take a break. Prove me wrong. Prove to me there’s one person in government who actually wants to stop what is happening.

The electorate needs to stand up and demand changes to the election system in every single state. The only way it changes is people start calling the left out and getting results on mail in voting ban, one day voting, voter Id, no ballots counted if found after Election Day, paper ballots, no machine counting etc. So far, I’m not seeing very many voters in NC trying to do this nor in just about every other state.
So yes, the electorate has a lot to do with getting blamed for election losses and corruption. It’s our duty to make sure our elections are fair and honest.
We have been trying for years and haven’t made but so much progress. Cheating even at the local levels in the GOP is a big problem. I won’t get started.
I am all for your suggestions, although I disagree on one day voting. A week would be good, but no more than that. They just started early voting here, and they changed my precinct to some school that is not convenient to get to instead of the church a few minutes from my house.
I will go to town to do early voting and make an afternoon of it to get it done which is ok. It is going to be a mess because I am not sure everyone knows they will have to go elsewhere on Election Day. It is critical we win this Nov.

Those in power console themselves with the assurance that R’s are still getting elected. The question of “did the right R get elected” never occurs to them. It’s beyond frustrating.

I recently found a picture of my parents that my sister had, they were on their honeymoon at Lake Lure from after the war. It was a treasure find. We took numerous memorable trips as kids to WNC. My mom said we have a drop of Cherokee in our DNA, a cousin down the road apiece, squirrels jump as they say. My parents loved those mountains, goes back to Scot/Irish roots. Eventually family ties moved to Eastern Carolina for work. For years my parents did missionary trips to Appalachia and always had a hard time coming back home. That region is such a special, magical, and wonderful place w/phenomenal people.
This week is the year anniversary of Helene, all I know is my heart is w/you, I pray for you, and I contribute when I can to the boots on the ground doing the job that “leaders” are not doing. Their dedication to helping their neighbors and fellow human beings is beyond measure. Truly ya’ll are some of the strongest people on Earth.

A shooter doesn’t need a stalled escalator to take out anyone standing on it. The stairs move very steadily & slowly and everyone on it is very exposed from behind as they rise upwards above the starting floor level. Open escalators are always dangerous for high profile people. That’s why such at-risk people should always ride secure elevators that are under full control by trusted security teams. IDK why POTUS & FLOTUS had to ride an escalator at the UN; maybe elevators were not available.
