I have continued to point out that Chad Mizelle was Rod Rosenstein’s chief legal counsel during the first term of President Trump. As Rosenstein’s legal counsel, it was Chad Mizelle who literally wrote the “scope memos” that authorized the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate President Trump.
Mizelle also wrote the expanded scope memos for Mueller and Andrew Weissmann that permitted the targeting of Michael Flynn Jr, Michael Flynn, George Papadopolous, Paul Manafort and more. Chad Mizelle would have intimate knowledge of Rosenstein’s intent to hire Robert Mueller, before, during and after the Special Counsel was appointed.
Because of everything above, Chad Mizelle was always looked at with strong suspicion. There is no way to intellectually reconcile Chad Mizelle as a good faith actor knowing the intents and purposes of Robert Mueller. It just didn’t make sense.
Subsequently, when Chad Mizelle was selected to guide Attorney General Pam Bondi through the nomination process as Attorney General we watched with concern. After the successful confirmation, Mizelle then took up position as AG Pam Bondi’s Chief of Staff.
[It should also be noted that Chad Mizelle is reported to be very close friends and allies with Stephen Miller. Yet, another irreconcilable aspect.]
On September 20th, President Trump sent a seemingly frustrated Truth Social message, outwardly questioning the slow to non-existent reality that Main Justice was not holding the bad actors within the Lawfare operation accountable.
Three days later, it is now reported that Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle is departing Main Justice.
WASHINGTON – Chad Mizelle will leave as chief of staff at the Department of Justice in the next few weeks to return to his family in Tampa, Axios has learned.
Mizelle, a key ally of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, told us he’ll continue to support the Trump administration’s work, and plans to continue “exposing the left-wing groups responsible for violence across America.”
Bondi says Mizelle “served this Department with professionalism, sound judgment, and dedication. As Chief of Staff, Chad played a central role in coordinating the Department’s operations, ensuring its resources were aligned and our efforts were carried out with integrity and efficiency. His counsel strengthened our work to advance justice and protect the American people. I am grateful for his service and friendship.”
Todd Blanche, deputy attorney general, said: “Chad’s tenure at the Department has been marked by exceptional leadership and dedication to the Department. All of that may be true. However, it is also true that without Chad Mizelle there would never have been a Robert Mueller investigation and expanded scope memos for Andrew Weissmann.

In my view Chad’s leaving goes hand in hand with DJT wanting some ACTION (-Jackson) on prosecuting the reprobates uncovered with the recent Russia-gate-hoax documents. Since ChadM was part of the originating documentary parts of that effort, removing him from the room clears the table at least in part from going after the main players.
Might also be a veiled threat to Pammie since DJT has taken her step-and-fetch-it boy right out from her office in the DOJ.

It is possible he has been a deep state mole all along as his first government intern job was writing memos for FBI agents seemingly to instruct them how not to commit/not be caught committing entrapment. He was then a legal volunteer for the 2016 campaign then assigned to DOJ working under Jeff Sessions before Rosenstein.

From what I’ve noticed with Laura Loomer, she is afraid of Susie Wiles. If Wiles cuts off Loomer then Loomer’s access to President Trump is cut off. Laura only has nice things to say about Wiles, never negative comment.

Was it striking to you when Patel ans Bongino immediately spoke so highly of the personnel of the FBI? Their “transition team” of protect the institution at all costs swarmed them at the door. Same with Bondi and the DOJ, the bureaucracy overwhelmed and the COS would have been instrumental. Rosenstein was oh so good at telling our very great president what he couldn’t do….remember?

That’s the way I read this all between the lines. The key is who is the replacement? Another guttersnipe bureaucrat protect the institution at all costs sellout?

I’m not casting aspersions, just curious if there is anyone that doesn’t raise Sundance’s suspicions. Mizelle makes sense but to then link Stephen Miller and Loomer?? It makes me crazy sometimes, sending me down rabbit trails of thought wondering if maybe DJT’s own shadow is against MAGA and conspiring to doom this administration. I’m jesting of course but it does sadden me that we have come to such a place that nobody can be looked upon without questioning motive, honesty and integrity. 😪

Remember the line at Charlie Kirk’s memorial going somewhat like, “Charlie always wanted to conduct a Trump rally and here we are.” Not only was the service beautiful, but I felt politicians were riding on Charlie’s coattail, opportunists for upcoming midterms; however, they all had the greatest respect & admiration for their deceased friend because he simply had lived his life above the “politics” they had all wallowed in time and time again.
I don’t know about Miller, but this isn’t the first time for Laura Loomer to say President Trump should drain swamps, but not this part here…
Thanks for the article. How can anyone who supports President Trump think getting rid of those who harmed him in a one at a time slow drip style is going to work to President Trump’s benefit? Currently those who have participated in any way or given assistance and cover to those who attempted to take President Trump down are on stealth mode and can still sabotage and spy on him by giving information which they can manipulate as well as aid to his enemies, many of which are Republicans.
The President’s enemies are wily enough to blend in even helping with issues that match MAGA’s goals but the fact of the matter is many are using their Government positions as their own personal Trojan Horse just waiting until the time is ripe to do it again. There is a network of allied people in the Government of various political parties and they are not just trying to take down President Trump as our leader but are trying to bury Donald Trump as a citizen either in prison or in the ground using any pretense whatsoever because his immense influence with the people, even when he is not in office, is getting in their way.
This is a bit like tracking the movements of assistant coaches in the MLB farm system.
There is a 10+ year ongoing seditious conspiracy to overthrow PDJT. The central tactic? Deprivation of rights under color of law. That’s what Lawfare really is: fraudulently using the legal system to destroy people by giving illegal targeting of innocent people the patina of legitimacy. In short, they used their badges to arrest and harass people for nonexistent crimes, all for personal and political gain.

Or 5,000 others. The only near term solution to a corrupt DOJ/FBI is 25-30% reductions in staffing across the board. They should be gutting those rat nests. But they aren’t.

IF — this guy was a primary reason why DOJ was “taking their dam sweet time” assessing accountability with the massive corruption in DOD and FBI….telling Bondi to “slow down”, or worse, “don’t bother” —- then he should have been gone yesterday.
It may be as simple as that this guy was an “institution defender” through and through…..who like many just believe that the damage to the precious institution was too high a price to hold corrupt actors within it accountable. The Swamp is full of them.
As SD remarked, there are several aspects of his official behavior that are “irreconcilable” with his associations. But nevertheless….he should not hold such an influential position if, FOR WHATEVER REASON — he does not want to clean house.
