In a rather remarkable moment of intercessory faith, Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a tribute to Charlie Kirk filled with purpose and faith.
There were some very remarkable moments in the hours-long Christian affirmation for Charlie that took place yesterday in Glendale, Arizona; however, this testimonial from Marco Rubio is among the top tier.
Rubio begins with good natured humor; this cognitively breaks the psychological drag of recent memory and reorients the audience. Secretary Rubio then begins to speak eloquently about the impact of Charlie Kirk and the light he brought to a generation. Rubio bears witness.
Toward the end of his remarks, Secretary Rubio then enmeshed the truth of Charlie’s message to the life of Christ, and the immortal connection that binds a Christian nation in spiritual purpose. Like Charlie, Rubio has a gift. WATCH:
THAT, my friends, is a powerful seven minutes!
♦ The First Martyr – Stephen is introduced in the Book of Acts as one of the seven deacons appointed to oversee the distribution of food to widows in the early church. He is described as a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit. Stephen’s bold preaching and miracles drew the attention of the Jewish authorities, leading to his arrest.
During his trial, Stephen delivered a powerful speech recounting Israel’s history and accusing the religious leaders of resisting the Holy Spirit. This speech culminated in his being stoned to death, making him the first Christian martyr.
♦ Paul – Saul, who later became known as the Apostle Paul, was present during Stephen’s stoning. The witnesses laid their clothes at Saul’s feet, indicating his approval of the execution. At this time, Saul was a zealous Pharisee, actively persecuting Christians and seeking to eradicate the new faith. His involvement in Stephen’s death highlights the intense opposition faced by early Christians from Jewish leaders.
♦ Transformation of Saul – Saul’s life took a dramatic turn on the road to Damascus, where he encountered the risen Christ. This event led to his conversion, and he became one of the most influential apostles in spreading Christianity. His transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted follower of Christ is a powerful testament to the grace and power of God.
Significance – The stories of Saul and Stephen illustrate the early church’s struggles and the profound changes that can occur through faith. Stephen’s martyrdom is often seen as a catalyst for the spread of Christianity, as it prompted many believers to flee Jerusalem and share the gospel elsewhere. Saul’s conversion marks a pivotal moment in Christian history, as he became a key figure in establishing the church and writing many of the New Testament letters.
Summary: Stephen’s martyrdom and Saul’s transformation are central to understanding the early Christian movement and the challenges it faced. Their stories reflect the depth of faith, the virtue of redemption, and the power of the gospel.
Many people, me included, have pondered the remarkable transition of Marco Rubio.
God is in control!
“The Blessing” 🙌🏼

.

I agree Rubio’s message was tremendous! He is the next POTUS.
He might do that some decade after JDV becomes POTUS next. I doubt anyone will beat JD when he runs. Maybe Marco will be his VP then run for POTUS.
His speech was perfect, not read but from his heart.
Vance did not hold a candle to Rubio’s powerful tribute.
Vance does not hold a candle to Rubio in any regard.
Vance wasn’t a problem member of the SSCI.
Your timeline is off, click. Name
He wasn’t there long enough.
Vance is over rated, imo.
He dressed as a dot haaaid when married, that says it all.
Maybe Stephen Miller? He certainly would be a good contender.
That these 3 names are ‘in the mix,’ is impressive.
Vance is a man who doesn’t know who he is. He doesn’t know what is name is. He doesn’t know his heritage. He is floating through the world trying to find solid ground, but that ground is back home with his family that he left behind. He dressed up like an Indian when he got married because apparently he thinks that he is Indian now. I don’t see how he can lead America when he doesn’t identify as American, has a fake name, fake family, fake heritage, and fake beliefs. A man cannot lead without conviction, and I cannot find any conviction in him.
I agree.. let’s do a Vance/Rubio ticket in 2028. That should keep us in power for decades.
I won’t agree or disagree. I will just say there is a whole lot of football left between now and 2028. What IS clear though is this: we have a bench! Oh my gosh, do we have a bench!
Totally agree. But if the election were soon upon us I would be pushing a Rubio/Gabbard ticket.
She would be a worthy president herself after 2028. Worthy to be president, unlike any of the dem contenders. Sarah Palin was great, but not the right time for her to come forward. And of course, the rinos joined the dems in destroying her
Definitely Potus or VP. I wouldn’t sell JD Vance short on his chances, either!
There will be tremendous unity in our country behind a JD POTUS, followed by a Marco Rubio Presidency. I believe if those two have to fight for the nomination, the unity of effort, and the powerful work we have participated in and witnessed, might be for naught.
I think maybe reverse that. If Vance is willing to continue his training as VP, and then run after 12 years as VP, he could become very seasoned. I like him a lot. I don’t feel he’s experienced enough to be president in 2028. If Rubio’s history with the SSCI can be rectified/explained, I think Marco is much more qualified for 2028. And I don’t include Gabbard because I just don’t see the experience yet, though a lot of people like her. Maybe she could be Vance’s VP in 2036?
Just my thoughts.
Wow unbelievable unbelievable unbelievable. Wipe the tears from my eyes
Marco Marco wow I didn’t know you were a true believer. Praise God.
Yes, it’s very very very powerful. Wow, thank you God thank you Lord Jesus, i pray we see a massive turning to Jesus because of this Charlie Kirk Memorial because of Charlie Kirk.
An amazing upbringing by Marco Rubio’s parents has emerged and surprised everyone of us. There has been alot of doubts in my mind that have been resolved as Marco has grown from a young man entering politics to the statesman that he has become today. If I were to vote for a leader of this country to follow President Donald Trump, Marco would receive my endorsement just for this speech from the memorial. Outstanding that Marco would openly express his beliefs in front of a whole nation. 🙂
I have not watched this yet. But Sundance’s description reminds me of one of the critical moments in the 2016 campaign, the Al Smith Dinner in NYC. It was a fundraiser for Catholic Charities (back when they were anti-abortion, not pro-illegal immigrant). Trump started with some nice self deprecation. And then he laid out the truth about Hilary Clinton, with her sitting right there, front and center.
Yeah, Trump was stone-cold vicious. Hillary deserved it. If I were to find one thing complimentary to say about her, she took that haymaker well. She also took Trump’s knockout “you’d be in jail” blow without flinching, during the 2016 debate. (Though who knows how much stuff got broken backstage, afterward.)
Hillary does have ice in her veins. Or maybe is just a reptilian.
The fact that almost everyone who spoke professed their faith in Jesus Christ was a blessing to see.
We, as a nation, have been hiding our love of God and His Son, Jesus, behind the leftist mantra of ‘separation of church and state’ for far too long.
My hope for everyone who spoke yesterday, and for all of us, is to boldly profess Christ’s love, no matter what.
Agreed Raven. As Christians, we often shoot inside our own tent at other Christians for doctrinal differences. We have far more in common with one and other than with the diabolical forces of leftism and the culture of death it promotes.
We should be proclaiming the message of Philippians 2 in every discussion about politics and the culture. Forget the nonsensical “separation of church and state” which lulled Christians to remove their faith from the public square and allowed the leftists to fill the void with their godless self-worship in its place.
There are more of us than them. We should insist on the enthronement of the social kingship of Jesus Christ in all aspects of public life by proclaiming the gospel and insisting on the true, the good, and the beautiful in everything.
Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!
His parents, you nailed it. It is a Cuban thing, but not all Cubans have it. Ted Cruz does not have it.
Rubio’s speech was refreshing because he literally recited the Catechism of the Catholic faith till the last sentence. Unfortunately, he ended with the false teaching of universal salvation.
I didn’t hear the teaching of universal salvation. I went back and listened again to check. When he said “we all” I think he was talking as if he were in church speaking to fellow believers, as that was the atmosphere in the stadium.
“we” “all” here refers to all humans created. Marco was not saying we all Catholics. And if in the stadium there were non-Catholics, those are the “we, all” that God does not want ‘any’ to perish; but “all” to come to repentance.
God predestines no one to go to hell; for this, a willful turning away from God (a mortal sin) is necessary, and persistence in it until the end. In the Eucharistic liturgy and in the daily prayers of her faithful, the Church implores the mercy of God, who does not want “any to perish, but all to come to repentance” (CCC 1037).
If by that phrase “we all” is meant that hell is only temporary or that all souls go to heaven regardless of what they did in life and whether they repent then that is indeed heresy. This heresy goes by several names: universal reconciliation, universal salvation, or Christian universalism.
Everyone who ever committed a mortal sin perfectly repents before death and is purified in Purgatory and ultimately arrives in heaven then no, it is not heresy.
What do you say is false – mentioning universal salvation?
Powerful testimony. Agree with you wholeheartedly.
Rubio gave a staunch personal public faith testimony when he illustrated well the essence of Christ’s sacrifice.
Jesus, had equal status with God. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human. Born human, When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human; stayed human, suffered humanly, obedient unto death, died as a human, rose from the dead (that NO OTHER human has ever), for only then can we be adopted into the same Sonship He has with the Father.
Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.

That was a wonderful service yesterday. The whole thing. Many people may have been turned off by Tucker Carlson’s giggling but I liked his comment that 2,000 years the establishment leaders were pondering how to quiet a guy who was disturbing their peace and one of them came up with the brilliant idea of killing him.
Yes, the Tucker giggles was a view into his strange thought process. I found it very much a turn off.
I have been watching quite a few of his recent podcasts/interviews. It’s just a personal foible of his. He laughs like that to vent nervousness. I know that’s what it is, because I do the same thing. I have had two incidents in my life where people have chewed me out for it, but I really can’t help it.
If you haven’t watched his interviews much, this would seem weird. To me, it was not unexpected at all.
I don’t think Tucker cackles when nervous. I think he has a bizarre psyche and cackles randomly. He is a seasoned public speaker/television personality, etc. His interviews are weird–he ignores things he should probe and questions unimportant things to put forth his agenda. Something is off.
His close association with Qatar makes me wonder about him.
Just my opinion.
President Trump called the leader of Qatar his friend. Does that make you wonder about him?
Dr. Al – Assad (former president of Syria) did have a good relationship with Christians… we never ever heard from VSGPDJT one good word about it.. and now friend with Jihadist..hmm wander
He’s giggled like that since I first saw him on CNN. It’s when something strikes him as completely absurd.
It doesn’t bother me.
There is some syndrome out there that is a legit diagnosis, I don’t recall the name of it, but it makes people laugh, yawn, and cry uncontrollably at really inappropriate times. I used to be in a group w/a woman that had it. It really turned people off and offended them until someone explained that it was her illness. I always had wished at the beginning of the meeting she would have explained it so there wouldn’t have been so much criticism and judgment of her. It was bizarre we would be discussing something and out of no where she would start yawning or laughing, or crying. We would look at each other, like what’s this, how rude.
Tucker gave a very powerful speech about the need for each of us, the powerful, and the small, to repent before God and submit our lives to him.
Denigrating his laugh is a distraction from the message.
Yes, nothing new under the sun. 🥲
Yes, that was a great moment…. and that giggling could have been nervous laughter. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen people who handle stress in ways not considered “normal” to common folk. I used to be the Head Greeter for the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California many many years ago prior to its fall. We held the funeral of the young girl, Samantha Runyon, who was horrifically murdered. I had 34 greeters that I was lead of and one sweet, beautiful young woman could not help herself but laugh. She wasn’t laughing at this poor young slain girl – she was trying to deal with her stress and her own distraught nature over the events.
I was at the time an emergency responder. I have unique characteristics on managing chaos, stress, and catastrophes that make me capable of going, going, going for 36 or 48 hours… whatever the need. I usually “crash”, “cry”, “decompress” afterwards.
Though certain aspects of Tucker Carlson make me suspicious of him and his motives – I, too, believe that he’s placed a serious target on himself for speaking things others are too afraid to speak of.
There is scriptures in the Bible –
“It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.” — Philippians 1:15–18 (NIV)
I do not have to agree with one completely to still be on their side, or they on mine. My best wishes and prayers for the protection of the Truthspeakers.
Incidentally, prophets of late are also receiving Words about Stephen – so I found it quite impactful that some of these testimonies included the reference.
Thanks for sharing that wisdom!
I found this transcript of his speech:
“So it’s about 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem, and Jesus shows up, and he starts talking about the people in power, and he starts doing the worst thing that you can do, which is telling the truth about people, and they hate it. And they just go bonkers. They hate it. And they become obsessed with making him stop. “This guy’s got to stop talking. We’ve got to shut this guy up.”
And I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamplit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about what do we do about this guy telling the truth about us? “We must make him stop talking.” And there’s always one guy with a bright idea, and I can just hear him say, “I’ve got an idea. Why don’t we just kill him? That’ll shut him up. That’ll fix the problem.””
video and text: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/09/21/tucker_carlson_charlie_kirk_knew_politics_isnt_the_final_answer.html
A scene and thought process that was expertly rendered in the most recent season of The Chosen. Not how it actually went down (of course, we don’t have any way of knowing what happened) but very well-written nonetheless. And led by one of the Pharisees who, in the show, had been watching Jesus for years at that point and even wanted his messianic message to be true.
There was no hummus in those days. Just saying. Tucker is IMO demonic.
Perhaps it was well-timed laughter borne of a connection in his mind between the elites of Jesus’s day and those of ours, who equally don’t approve of anyone speaking truth to them.
It’s just a tick that Tucker has, some horrible hyena laugh that he can’t or doesn’t want to curtail. He did a good job otherwise.
Agree! Powerful message. Wow.
Marco missed his calling.
Perhaps not. It seems he found it
Not if he is following the leading of the Lord.
It might be the the Lord put him exactly where he is, for such a time as this.
And Secretary of State isn’t bad training for managing thousands of TPUSA chapters.
Well, to add to a running joke going these days…..
Just add this new calling to his current list of jobs!
What’s he up to now, 7, 8 jobs?
🙂
now THAT’S funny
Trumps said he was going to cut government. I guess giving a dozen jobs to one man cuts slots.
And what calling is that please enlighten us.
President Trump posted this last night on his Truth Social account. Listen to this. There are NO COINCIDENCES.

Before there can be a revival in our land, Christians, we who are the children of God and who profess faith in Jesus Christ, must fulfill the Words of 2 Chronicles 7:14.
We must.
We must humble ourselves.
We must pray.
We must seek God’s face.
We must turn from our wicked ways.
God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows our hearts better than we know them.
God knows we need to humble ourselves.
Be humble.
God knows we need to pray.
Pray.
God knows we need to seek His face.
Let us seek Him in all we do.
And God knows, brothers and sisters in Christ, that we need to turn from our wicked ways.
We do not need to point to others to change their wicked ways, God is calling us to turn from our wicked ways.
When we do those things, privately, and hopefully across our land collectively, then God’s Promise says that then He will hear us from Heaven. Then He will forgive our sins. And then He will heal our land.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Amen🙏
No one is even able to repent unless the Holy Spirit enables them.
We saw that yesterday when many people stood to give their lives to Jesus.
It begins with God the Alpha and Omega The First and the Last the beginning and the end.
We are dead in our sins without the breath of the Living God. All grace.
Like Charlie said
“Just say YES”!
“No one is even able to repent unless the Holy Spirit enables them.”
Absolutely this.
“It is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8&9
Wow! Thank you for posting this, Sibyl. If it doesn’t get one’s Holy Spirit geiger counter ticking, then your soul is malfunctioning and needs a major realignment.
Thank You, Sibyl.
…Thank you, Sibyl, true, there are no COINCIDENCES. Blessings…
Thank you, Sundance, for giving time to this topic. It is so important. Rubio’s speech, along with Tulsi’s, and Carson’s all were Spirit-led and deferred to our Almighty God.
By contrast, others in higher position seemed to be sure to call it “our” religion, “our” belief, instead of their belief as well. I was watchful to see how they would speak and to what focus they would hold.
We are seeing future leaders rise up. They always will and they may just have a chance if the cabal that still exists gets out of their way and lets them lead – and doesn’t see their rise as too much a threat. I still pray for the other Sauls present and for their swift conversion.
But make no mistake – once someone has converted – no one can stop them from proselytizing their love of Jesus – for when you are in love with someone – you want to share them with the world.
Yes! Listening to Tulsi’s speech (as well as Rubio’s) revealed the Holy Sprit in them; Carson was already known to me as Sprit-led. If ever I voted for a woman President, Tulsi Gabbard would fill that bill. Rubio is indeed coming into his own! I would vote for him for President over Vance.
Wow. That was a powerful speech.
I am so happy that Marco has come into his own, let us see if he can keep it, and not be compromised
Rubio seems to me to have maybe already been compromised and fought his way out of it to the place he is now–he seems reborn.
His path has been one of getting too much power & fame too early, and it made him weak and feckless.
I think he has never been under the kind of strong leadership of P. Trump, and he has flourished under it. It may very well be that will always be his best in such a position, but will not have the strength to stand on his own.
And that’s just fine, if he can accept it with humility and grace. I’m not sure he can.
I am an old lady, Eisenhower was President when I was born, and I can’t remember ANY Presidential administration with so many members proclaiming the Gospel.
Even under President Reagan, there were not so many.
Truly the Lord is working mightily at this time.
Lift your head, look up, for your redemption is drawing nigh!
The Christian Gospel of Jesus Christ does not spread through successful Christian programs but rather through individual and collective struggles against evil – it is the *conflict itself* that advances the Kingdom of Christ, the rising up of humble soldiers for righteousness and their stand against the wicked, even if it means martyrdom.
Jesus confused His followers because He did not conquer in the expected way, as a globe subduing Messiah, rather He stood in humility like a Rock against evil and gave His life as a ransom for many – as a Servant to His beloved creation.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. (Eph 6:12)
This is an invisible battle of souls.
The 2028 Republican primary is going to be amazing. Best selection of candidates ever. And we will get to choose, unlike the Democrats who always have their nominee selected for them even when they go through the motions of “voting”.
Iron sharpens iron.
I wish that you had a mirror account on Substack. This deserves a broad audience!
He’s on X. Read the professor every day on X & here of course.
Rubio was given a God given moment and the words to speak God’s truth – he stepped up to the plate and because he did millions heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I loved his boldness to not compromise the truth.
Absolutely, Edna.
As Marco spoke it was definitely an alter call, a true and full proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And millions of people all over the world heard it – PTL
Pastor Greg Laurie writes about his Christian friendship with Marco and Jeanette Rubio. Pastor Laurie assures us that the Rubios are committed Christians. But I hadn’t been fully convinced until I saw this testimony yesterday. Rubio is one powerful witness! Maybe we can move past our suspicions of Rubio’s involvement with the Senate Intelligence Committee??? Maybe. Maybe not. But maybe.
That committee and citizenship status are issues.
Don’t forget these guys are actors. His night / day change makes my spidey sense tingle.
I know a man who was a violent alcoholic, lost his wife because of the abuse.
Still he wouldn’t change, didn’t even see a need to change.
Then God stepped in and gifted this man with a heart problem so serious that his doctor told him, keep drinking and die, or stop drinking and you have a chance.
The man stopped drinking. It was as though the Lord flipped a switch inside of the man and not only turned off the craving for alcohol, but created a real aversion to it. And it happened instantly.
The man and his wife were able to reconcile and the man lived several more years, a truly devout man who loved the Lord.
He also became kind to his wife and everyone around him.
My point is, God CAN create a real and sudden and lasting change in a person, just like flipping on a light switch in his soul.
With God, ALL things are possible!
People change every day.
And the Bible says we are new every morning.
We don’t know how God has impacted anyone in a day, but we know that when God impacts you, you are forever changed.
It is a horrible thing when others hold us in a box they’ve put us in, imagining that we are still the little kid who ate their candy bar, even 40 years later. But it seems many people do just that; keep us in their box and believe they know us better than we know ourselves.
After 50+ years of marriage I am always surprised by the changes I see and hear in my husband. He is not the 16 year old boy I met 54 years ago, nor is he the man he was 25 years ago.
Marco Rubio was whooed by the deep state to run for the Presidency in 2016. Like most I’d guess his pride got the best of him and he believed he had enough of everything it takes to run for and be President. But Donald Trump actually had what it took, and by God’s grace he became our President.
Marco had 4 years of President Trump’s time in office, and 4 years of seeing the deep state do its best to destroy the country Marco’s family fled to not that many years ago. I believe it was during those 8 years that Marco realized what the deep state had done to him — he was NEVER going to be allowed to be President — and how Donald Trump, turned President Trump, had been telling the truth all along.
There have been many awakenings over the last 10 years, and those came about mostly when one man stood up, spoke plainly and openly, and said what most of us were thinking. That man was Donald Trump.
Yesterday we watched a memorial for Charlie Kirk. I cannot begin to imagine what the world will be like on the day that President Trump dies, or the memorial he will receive. But I pray, oh Lord God, that President Trump will live a very long, very happy life once he leaves public office.
I pray that he also hears what I believe Charlie heard from our Lord, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Thanks for this. We are in the middle of a transition, a Great Awakening, in which we are remembering that America is and always has been a Christian nation. Not a Christian majority nation, or a Judeo-Christian nation, both of which imply a stew of religious values, but a Christian nation. Our culture, our morality, and our government which sits upon them as its foundation stones, are Christian. It is such a breath of fresh air to hear that message proclaimed without apology or qualification.
Love the photo with Bibi, with Secretary Rubio whispering to President Trump. Possible caption: “Mr. President, check your wallet.”
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
it goes for Z too……. check your wallet VSGPDJT….
We are a Judeo-Christian nation.
Jesus was a Jewish man, while also being the Son of the Living God, and fulfilled the law given Moses, but did not discard it.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the One, true God.
Jesus is the Annointed One, the Christ, the Son of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Christianity is built upon the foundation that the Lord laid, which was given first to the Jew, then to the gentile.
That foundation was not discarded, but was fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
The foundation still exists.
Jesus built His church upon it, but did not discard it.
no
Yes. Study the “types and shadows” of Christ in the OT, the Feasts of the Lord, which were all the pre-figurations of Christ: the various covenants (Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, with the fulfillment of all in the New Covenant.
The NC in Christ is the continuation and fulfillment of the Old. “All the promises of God are Yea and Amen in Him”. It’s all of a piece.
Excellent and encouraging program from start to finish!! Especially great to hear the heartfelt thoughts and perspectives of each of our Cabinet Members, with the sincere discourse of President Trump in the end. He hit upon many important points.
I would really like to know what the significance of Erika’s final hand gesture is, and why she wears the G Masonic Symbol ring.
I think President Trump also said that Charlie was a true builder… are they Masons? Isn’t that kind of occult? Just asking…
https://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/topics/i_love_you.htm
It’s the first initial of one of her kids.
The gesture is in American Sign Language.
Sheesh
Nothing wrong with asking sincere questions.
That’s how we learn.
The hand sign was American Sign Language for I Love You.
It shows the letter I (pinky finger), the letter L (made by holding thumb out and pointer finger up), and the letter Y (when the thumb is out, the pinky finger is up, and all the other fingers are down).
It is “slang” for I Love You among the deaf, and those who love them.
Oh, and one more thought. Secretary Rubio mentions Marcus Aurelius. Our universities have been gradually abandoning the foundational literature of Western Civilization and replacing it with modern hegelian clap trap. The Weather Underground’s March Through the Instititutions has pretty much succeeded. THAT is where we should be addressing much of our attention – REVERSING the abandonment, by schools at all levels, of the teaching of the classics, the Great Books, the literature that taught students how to think and analyze for themselves.
One could start here:
https://www.sjc.edu/academic-programs/undergraduate/great-books-reading-list
or this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvard_Classics
or this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Books_of_the_Western_World
Hillsdale College still uses the Great Books, I believe.
Dr. Larry Arnn bestowed on Charlie and honorary Hillsdale degree on Sunday, a HUGE AND RARE honor!
I couldn’t agree more! The first semester of my sophomore year of HS was all Bullfinch’s Mythology & Aesop’s Fables! And that wasn’t an AP class! Can you imagine students today being taught these things in HS?
That packed stadium, with thousands of people worshiping the risen Savior, and joining in song and public testimony of their faith in Christ, is anathema to the Deep State, which is just another expression of the will of the god of this world.
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am with them.” – Matthew 18:30
It’s not the Donald Trumps of the world that scare the New World Order, but the believing Christians fearlessly proclaiming their faith. Because the Lord has promised that the One in us is greater than the one in the world. (I John 4:4) And that is a power that all the Tyler Robinsons & Co, and their fellow travelers and benefactors, cannot silence with bullets and persecution. Witness that just over four years after a coup installed one of the most anti-Christian regimes I’ve ever seen in this country, a regime that labeled Bible believing citizens as domestic terrorists, we have the cabinet, led by the President himself, up their giving honor to Jesus Christ, sitting there joining in the worship and proclamation! What they meant for evil, God meant to serve good.
Be hopeful, rejoice, because we know that whatever comes, our redemption is on the way.
J
From the first time I listened to a very young Marco Rubio, I was amazed at his natural speaking ability and that is demonstrate here.
That great reunion…only for those who have washed their garments in the blood of Christ…all others will weep and gnash their teeth for the ignominious fate that awaits them. REPENT and trust Jesus.
I agree this was a remarkable speech, and I have seen a Marco Rubio during this administration who is outstanding.
A few words about what Sundance wrote: As a Jew reading the text above my first reaction was, “If you believe Jews did this, how can you ever like, care about or respect any Jew?
Then I read a post on X which went into more detail than I can recall right now, but the gist of what he said was this: “It is true that Socrates was killed by the Greeks. But that doesn’t say much of anything. Socrates was Greek and so were those that killed him. They were all Greeks. So Jews were opposed to Jesus, that is true, but that doesn’t say much, since Jesus was a Jew along with everyone else in the Jewish community.
I think what is important is that Jesus Christ and Christianity flowed from Judaism, it was all Judaism until it gradually took shape and became differentiated from Judaism. That some Jews didn’t agree with the idea of God as a man, doesn’t imply that Jews were and are and always will be some kind of arch enemy of Christianity. Quite the contrary. Jews respect Christians, and actually wish more Christians were in touch with their Christianity.
The story of Jews and Christians does not have to be a story of Jews as “Christ killers,” as some would have it be. To me it is a story of a kind of brotherhood. The morality developed in the Old Testament, and that was worked on over millenia by rabbis, is the same as the morality of the New Testament.
Justice and Mercy are the twin themes of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
May everyone here at the Last Refuge, have a peaceful, fruitful, and prosperous year to come, and may you all be blessed by God.
Dearest Eve,
As a Christian I can tell you that Jesus knew, every step of the way, that He came to earth to die.
He knew, before the earth was formed, that He would be the Messiah, the Savior, the Redeemer, in a way most would not see until He died and rose again.
Jesus knew exactly what would happen, and God, Yahweh, had told His children of Promise what to look for throughout the Old Testament.
Most importantly, more than anything any man can write, here are the words Jesus spoke concerning what He knew was His upcoming death. From John chapter 10, verses 14 through 18 in the New Testament. (emphasis mine)
Jesus speaking,
“I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And I have other sheep, which are not from this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it up again. No one takes my life away from Me, but from Myself, I lay it down. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”
Jesus freely and willingly gave up His life, first for His chosen children, the Jews, then for the gentiles — spoken of by Jesus when He tells us He has ‘other sheep that are not from this fold’ that He must bring along.
Jesus gave up His life. He could have stopped the entire process if He wanted to, but He did not. He laid down His life, He laid it down. He also took His life up again, with His flesh coming back to life. No one, absolutely NO ONE, could have changed the course Jesus set out to do before the foundation of the earth.
There were many people who had a hand in killing Jesus, in making Him The Christ, and the Jewish people were only a part of what took place. The Romans played a major part, because only they had the power to kill a criminal, which they said Jesus was. And, everyone of us who loves the Lord also had a hand in killing the Son of God, because only by His act of redeeming love are any of us redeemed to eternal salvation.
I drove the stakes into Jesus hands and feet, and He forgave me for that and so much more.
Bless you for such an eloquent expression of the truth.
Yes, I killed Jesus, too.
So did every human who ever lived.
But the merciful God Who created us, knew in advance that we would murder His only begotten Son, and loved us so much that He gave us His Son, anyway.
Blessed be the Lord, Who saved a wretch like me!
If you’re referencing Sundance’s outline at the beginning of this story, then it’s true, and historical, that the chief opposition to the early church came from the Jewish authorities. Yes, the disciples, and most early believers, were Jewish, and so was the chief opposition to their message. And it was the persecution of the Jews that scattered the early church to other parts of the Roman Empire, allowing the message of Christ to spread. Later, the Romans took over as the chief persecutor of the church.
The events described in the Book of Acts are historical and it’s no more a slight against Jews today to recount them than it is against any other group today to recite the acts of their forebears – it’s just history. I would no more judge Jews of today by what happened to Christ or the early church than I would judge Americans of today for what happened to American indians or blacks. It’s just history.
What matters TODAY is what we, as individuials, of whatever background, do about Christ TODAY. We will not be condemned or approved based on our ancestors, neither their actions nor what flowed from them, but solely on whether we individually accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as redemptive for us today and give our allegiance to Him. That’s all that matters. Because in Christ, there is neither “Jew nor Gentile…because we are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)
Jews today are as much “Christ-killers” as everyone else – we all have fallen into sin and it was His sacrifice that bought our redemption and the possibility of a restored relationship with a holy and loving God. Just as we are all Charlie today, we are all sinners today. But if we’ve accepted Christ, we are sinners who have been saved by His grace. We are a new creation. That is the true dividing line among humanity – the saved and the unsaved. Every other division is temporal and will not matter in eternity. All that matters is what we have done with Christ.
J
No artifice, no agenda, just speaking Spirit-led from his heart.
As the much-respected and much-missed Maquis would say, that was magnifique.
I have seen more than my share of Christ talkers who turn out to be something different. I do not trust Rubio while many on this site have put their checkmark in the trust column. Mike Pence was a Christ talker but ended up being a Judas.
“Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:20)
Nothing wrong with caution.
But I try to not let my caution harden into suspicion.
Maybe Rubio hasn’t transformed but was handcuffed into silence in the Senate intel committee waiting for the right moment. He now has that moment.
Sundance, what does that photo of the three men tell us?
Remarkable.
I’ve been hearing about this speech and had determined to find it and listen. I’m so glad i did. Thank you for posting it.
What amazing words from an unexpected source!
Again, thank you!
With respect Sundance, I would not use the word “transition” to describe what has happened to Mr. Rubio, but rather “transformation”. Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”.
I agree, Rubio’s was of all the speakers the most pointed and concise testimony of the purpose and grace of Christ’s birth/life/death/resurrection. No one who is not saved talks like that.
Rubio blew me away with his statement of conviction.
But even more, after 8-10 members of the administration spoke in a similar albeit less articulate vein, I realized this is probably the most genuinely devout cabinet since the early years of our nation. And they’re working in tandem for the good of America.
Wow.
I can’t help but think this would just knock Charlie’s socks off.
It brings tears to my eyes.
“God bless Charlie Kirk’s America.”
Secretary Rubio’s testimony gave me goosebumps yesterday and had me choking back tears. This morning the story linked below has had the same effect.

I was stunned at the beauty of Marco’s statement. How encouraging to hear it.
Someday we’ll hear the backstory of his becoming a godly statesman.
Charlie and Erika testified to the truth about Jesus/God and walked in that truth with a great deal of courage. It looks like good is coming out of Charlie’s death via a badly needed revival in the U.S. and around the world to bring people back together on a human, spiritual level, which is more important than politics, even though I am fully aware of the dire consequences of bad politics. In the America I grew up in, people generally treated each other well with politics handled partly through scholarly debates between the candidates regarding the cause and effects of different policies. It would be good to try to get back to that.
The Left has gone too far now. Individuals can change, but as a group, they are lost, and have nothing to offer but more misery.
How do we square Rubio’s talk today, with what he’s done in the past as part of the Gang of 8, protecting the Intelligence community interests? Has he been turned, or is he infiltrating? Honest question.
Remember Saul, who became Paul.
He suddenly turned from persecutor of Christians to a great apostle of the faith.
It IS possible.
Keep watching and listening to Mr. Rubio.
Especially, pray and ask for God’s gift of discernment.
His Holy Spirit will lead you into God’s truth.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today in New York with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
Marco Rubio is impressive. . .I became aware of him and liked him beforeTrump was calling him Little Marco during the 2016 campaign. I have watched Marco come into his own.
We hated him here in FL. He would not have been re-elected to a 3rd term in the Senate.
Watching prominent person after person within our government profess that Jesus is King was such a God moment! It was beautiful. It was unexpected, but it was just what most of this country longed to hear. We need Christianity in our leadership. We need to get back to a Godly based form of government that our founders created. Charlie’s life and death is such a blessing for this nation and the world. My heart aches for Erika, but the strength and resolve she showed when she forgave that young man was beyond compare. I pray that this movement continues and we all strive to #makeheavencrowded
God bless everyone in PDJT’s cabinet who was there in unity and faith, love, and guidance from the Holy Spirit.✝️
I was very skeptical when former Gang of Eight Rubio was appointed to Secretary of State but I must say he is beginning to win me over.
“Many people, me included, have pondered the remarkable transition of Marco Rubio.”
Me too.
” Rubio bears witness.”
In Christianity, to bear witness means to publicly testify to one’s personal faith and experiences with Jesus Christ, affirming the truth of His teachings and resurrection as a central duty for every believer. This act involves sharing one’s faith through both words and actions, serving as a testimony to the transforming grace of Jesus and the reality of God’s kingdom, which is otherwise invisible.
Episode worth the time to listen

I am also blown away by transformation of Rubio over the last 9 months. He does remind me of Paul and his complete turnaround. His Catholic faith is real and this talk displayed this powerfully. You cannot fake this stuff!!
I believe he is currently the most qualified to become the 2028 nominee for president though Vance is no light weight for sure. Both of these men are devoted Catholic christens and with them God can work wonders for this country. Right now Trump seems to trust Rubio more for his endorsement but many moons to go before 28.
I agree the bench is deep here.
And yes Marco nailed the central message of CK-the Christ is lord and savior and rose again and we will all God willing be seeing Charlie again when Christ comes again. Praise God!!!
I am so impressed with Secretary Rubio. I would definitely vote for him as our next President.
“Toward the end of his remarks, Secretary Rubio then enmeshed the truth of Charlie’s message to the life of Christ, and the immortal connection that binds a Christian nation in spiritual purpose.”
The Founding Fathers did not intend to create a Christian nation, but rather a secular nation with a clear separation between church and state. While many of the Founding Fathers were religious—some identifying as Christians, others as Deists or Theistic Rationalists—they were united in their belief that government should not establish or favor any particular religion. This principle is reflected in the U.S. Constitution, which contains no mention of Christianity or Jesus Christ and explicitly prohibits religious tests for public office in Article VI. The First Amendment further reinforces this secular framework by stating that Congress shall make no law “respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.
You are mis-informed. I suggest you read “The Light and The Glory” by Peter Marshall, and the various documents at http://www.wallbuilders.com.
Many people who came to America were fleeing religious persecution … Hugenots from France, Scots-Irish from Britain, others from the Spanish Inquisition. They feared a country with an official state religion.
But if you think America was not founded by, and saturated with, the Christian faith, then you ae misinformed. Only two Founders were known Deists, and even then not averse to the idea of a God who guided all things. All the Ivy League colleges were founded as overtly Christian colleges. The Bible is the basis for English Common Law. Most state constitutions required that inhabitants profess Christianity.
I could go on, but all the evidence is there IF YOU LOOK FOR IT. But I get the distinct impression that you would rather remain in your misinformed state.
Saw a painting of Charlie while traveling in Italy. Would like to share a picture but cannot figure out how to copy into the comments!
People judge you, rightly or wrongly, by how well you speak. Marco is a great speaker. He would make a great leader, but so would JD Vance. Marco has an edge in that he would be very popular with the Hispanic community. JD Vance is equally brilliant.
I saw this from Secretary Rubio and it was very very good. Kudos to PDJT for assembling an outstanding cabinet (for the most part!)
However, it was Tucker Carlson’s talk that resonated the most. Pure gospel – like the Prophet Nathan said to King David – You are the man! (OT mic drop moment)
I hope that Tucker’s message will eventually get the most play because it contains the heart of what being a Christian is – REPENTANCE and trust in Jesus Christ alone. Unbelievable that this (and Sec Rubios’) were shared on a world stage.
I’ll take Tulsi and Marco for the win 🥇
No political comment from me. Would just love to hear a whole lot of pastors in this country lay out the gospel in such a simple, yet powerful way.
Well done, Secretary Rubio.
I thought Rubio gave one of the best speeches of the event.
Marco Rubio really stood out yesterday. He has my attention.
