FBI Director Kash Patel appears on Fox News this morning to outline more details and evidence in the investigation of Charlie Kirk’s assassin, Tyler Robinson, and his transgender roommate Lance Twiggs.
Director Patel also outlined his personal importance to the investigation outcomes and how his involvement was key to solving the identity of the suspect. Patel notes how he is “quarterbacking” the investigation. WATCH:

Patel is never going to succeed at his job with the rest of the fbi undermining him and setting him up for failure. Hence we see the failure of him not cleaning the house day one.
Prezact.y! If the FBI is going to continue existence then fire those that have been radicalized. Start with firing those that were kneeling for BLM parades. Then fire those who were hired or promoted during Biden administration. Presumably they were all DEI related or radical democrats. Then fire all those who voted for or contributed to the democrats. As SD posted yesterday, Kirk was not in alignment with all of the donor classes in the GOP. It is in those business interests to use Fox News to impugn Kirk’s character, now that he is no longer around to defend himself.

Patel’s involvement was not “key” in identifying the assassin. His own father turned him in.
Kash Patel should never have been appointed to head the FBI. He had stated from the beginning that he wanted to “save” the FBI instead of dismantling it and rebuilding the hopelessly politically corrupt and compromised agency. He is being run over, roughshod, and his Deputy, Dan Bongino, is even worse. President Trump needs warriors to deal with the weaponized alphabet agencies.
Kash Patel has many strengths. This isn’t one of them.
The only time to clean house is when a new leader steps in. The more a leader waits, the tougher the task. Perhaps too late now but such a extraordinary crime still presents an extraordinary opportunity – if one has been setup to look stupid and still does not react decisively, what message does the rest of that degraded organization receive?
Leadership requires tough decisions without all the info that one needs. Waiting is a sure way to fail.
Not hopeful that this guy understands the responsibility and opportunity he was hired to handle.
He is there. He has the authority. He should fill the vacuum, he still has the upper hand of POTUS’ support.

I watched FBI whistleblowers appearing before Congress several years ago.
I have since listened to two of their recommendations for a successful strategy for Patel and Bongino to deal with the corrupt and unweildly agency.
I am repeating it here again. Forget about getting this feckless legislature to approve another director and assistant. Hire a few former whistleblowers to help deal with staff and strategy issues. These folks were agents. They reported corruption. They know the territory. Bring them back in an advisory capacity.

“Cleaning house.” Where is one to start? Fire everyone save for the handful of whistle blowers? There would not be enough personal to ‘take care of business’ until all the gaps could be refilled. I thought the interview went quite well. Kash hit on all the important investigative issues, did in fact state he would have handled the “we got em” error. although he is correct in that he did say “subject”, it was the tone and obvious reason he did make the statement. rather than try to explain it away, he should have simply stated: I got that wrong and regret saying anything until we can confirmed the subject was corroborated as the subject. that would have been the correct way to deal with the rushed mistake.
he never really did mention how it came to be that he was informed incorrectly about the two previous “subjects”, so that was kind of interesting….nor did he really get into some of reported news that he was very frustrated and angry with field FBI agents for not getting him information quicker such as the video evidence. So I wonder if any of that was actually true.
What I found most interesting was that he was willing to discuss the open and ongoing investigations into the discord chats…namely, that he stated there are “scores” of people who will be interviewed, but first proper legal process for warrants, etc…and the same before doing the local cell queries and “other”. This is good that he is saying those things are going to be done.
I have my own theories about this assassination, as most of you also have questions you would like to see addressed. I am convinced unless proven wrong, that there was more than just the shooter involved before, during and after the shot.
I hold this high confidence theory because
a. the timing of the shot was too coincidental to the kind of discussion Charles was having in that moment. If the shooter was trying to maximize the political impact of this murder, which is obvious by the markings on the casings, and apparently some of the vitriole he had communicated toward Charles before in the discord chat, then placing that shot and murder at exactly the moment that Charles in discussing the growing trend in violence from the trans turds. not a coincidence.
b. if we assume the timing of the shot coincided precisely with the aforementioned discussion, how was the shooter able to hear it from that distance. ? either he had taken cues from someone or two or more people inside that crowd that he could see from his scope and time his shot based on some kind of body gesture? was there some listening device he was using to perform a volume gain so he could listen in himself? in either case, he would have likely needed some kind of help….and not just with the coordination…but ensuring that someone ASKED THAT QUESTION!
c. As I have stated before about this particular long rifle, I still cannot see a rifle being brought down from the building roof. Yes, I see something, but it does not appear to be a rifle. It’s too grainey and the size isn’t correct….the model 98 vintage is approx 44 inches butt to rifle crown. If it was a modernized Mauser bolt action, it could have been a smaller length, but in most variants that unmodified length would be about the same…somewhere between 40 and 50 inches…I just don’t see anything that length.. I hold the opinion based on these videos that there is no long rifle in his person or holding when he jumps down from the building. so the question is, how did the rifle get into the wooded area? who did that?
now I will be completely okay with being wrong about the coincidence of the shot, and that perhaps the video resolution isn’t adequate to actually see a 44 inch length long rifle and that he may have had it with him in the jump down. I can concede that for the sake of argument.
However, what I will not concede is I can be convinced unless this is proven to be true. And for that to happen, every single person he interacted with on that day, during, the days after, and the days and hours before must be investigated.
There is also this last thing I want to note: It’s been reported he is not cooperating with investigators. Now there are a few reasons why he might, and there are a few reasons why he should. let me explains the former with a question:
what is he hiding from investigators? that others are involved? that he doesn’t want to implicate others who might be involved?
now his defense attorney might be telling him to keep silent, until some kind of deal is made…there could be that reason, because clearly, normally a court and judge will take into consideration how cooperative a suspect is should they be found quilty. For instance, if his attorney is working toward it, this suspect might wait to start naming names, so that he can avoid the death penalty.
last note: Kash talked about the value of the towel around the rifle. That it contained positive ID DNA material that ties it to the subject. However, he clarified that the rifle itself is still under forensic recovery and there is no information he could provide about that. And that is important for the obvious reasons. If they cannot get a positive ballistics and forensic collection from the rifle that ties it to the bullet, and the subject and are left with proving this case with the towel, raises not only a higher legal burden for prosecutors, but clearly raises a serious question: is the another rifle involved? and again…where is it, and who has it?
yes, lots of speculation on my part. I have no direct information other than what is being reported. I am trying to get a sense of where this investigation will go from here and also putting placeholders on questions that needs answers.

It appears it caught the very edge of his body armor causing it to deflect upwards into his head. No exit wound.
That appears to be the speculation: that the bullet splintered on impact with the armor, making a ballistics analysis very difficult.
There appears to be plenty of circumstantial evidence here, so I think they can bag the shooter without perfect ballistics.
But this appears to be a conspiracy, perhaps involving organizations across several layers.
That’s where having a reformed and unbiased FBI team would be an asset, and not a hindrance as it appears here. The results of doing very little institutionally for over seven months.

If it was a clean body hit, then it can be dug out of the backstop area (which is more likely with that round in that body area), and a good analyst can usually make a match with sufficient certainty to survive at trial.
But depending on angle of impact, the missile material, and the composition of the armor or deflection plate, there can be fracturing, spalling and severe enough deformation of the projectile to reduce the level of match certainty. Sometimes below the threshold to survive competing expert opinions. That’s the point above.
With a typical civilian .30-06 round that this kid fired, it’s likely going to be simple FMJ or JSP.

The spent round and also the casing and unspent rounds and casings are likely in custody in a particular lab in Maryland or maybe Minnesota. what happens there is never revealed publicly because it is very important to cloak how “the magic happens”. The United States (and it’s military) had a long positive history of making very good assessments on forensic scientific evidence testing.).
I have met some of these people in my “before” career. They don’t mess around. it’s impressive.

Thank you, Regitiger, for your well-thought commentary. I always appreciate your posts. May I add a few questions to your healthy skepticism of the FBI’s handling of this investigation?
(1) The FBI agents handling this case may be from the same field office that handled the Las Vegas shooting or, at the least, likely came from the same leftist colleges. The Las Vegas investigation was swept under the rug. So, who did these agents grant immediate immunity to? The roommate of the shooter, Lance Twiggs.
(2) What is the background of these two individuals – the shooter (Robinson) appears to be raised in a Christian, Republican home. He appears to have demonstrated conservative values prior to going to college for 1 semester around 2022, or at least tolerance for Christian values given that he went with his dad to see their minister before being turned in to police. He appears to have changed to a leftist ideology after leaving home. He left college and went at some point to a trade school. He is stated to have been in a relationship with Lance Twiggs for the past 2 years. All the news focus is on Robinson (understandably.) But, not much on Twiggs except for a relative to describe him as “demonic” and news stating that he was “transitioning” (hormonal disruption) to “female gender”.
(3) The motive for Robinson is what? Beyond indoctrination, was it loyalty to his roommate? If the bond was that strong, it appears to be one-sided. Mr. Twiggs, per the FBI agents, “readily” turned over the Discord chats and is “cooperating fully” with the FBI. Yes, it would seem Twiggs is doing so to protect himself.
But, with zero trust of the FBI, my question is what if Twiggs is/was actually the Groomer/Handler working for the FBI as an asset to set up a “patsy” to take the fall (whether Robinson’s shot, presumably one made by him, was the actual one that ended the life of Charlie Kirk, or not.) And/or could Twiggs actually be a leader of a local/regional Antifa (Transtifa) cell “managed (condoned)” by FBI?
(4) Whether Twiggs is deeply involved or not, it appears the FBI is moving to shut off all inquiry to Twiggs and, perhaps, also to Robinson. Similar to how they stonewalled inquiry into the Mueller investigations, et al. I wonder if too many/right questions are asked, will it expose the FBI themselves?
for better or for worse, the FBI, the prosecutors will have to develop any evidence to suggest a conspiracy, just as they would have to do in any other case, with or without the weird trans bizzaro nature of the criminal background. Kash kind of touched on this…something to the effect that he would not allow the investigation to become politicized wrt the trans “angle”.
however, that does not preclude the FBI from conducting a general investigating within the trans community at large, and especially if it can be evidenced their is some growing idealogical threat factor that is unique and present within the trans community. How that may or may not tie into this case is something the FBI most absolutely should be doing, even if it reveals nothing concrete. I happen to believe that it probably will allow the FBI to add to its behavioral profiling unit capabilities to understand if there is some kind of coordination, funding and hierarchy that touches this case and potentially others. Basically treat it the same way one might want to know about how antifa is structured or the violent elements within BLM…even if it reveals what he have seen on tv is not necessarily some proper affiliation…but more or less a culture of ideas that helps to produce violence. Likewise, I would want to know how it happens that someone like Kamala Harris can say out loud she would be willing to provided bond and bail to law breakers…that needs to be examined…how does antifa, the trans world, the BLM rioters and criminals interface with funding mechanisms. Can the FBI recommend to the DOJ about law enforcement methods to make that a priority or at least to make it a political issue and to issue public statements calling out various political actors who are basically sponsoring violence and criminal behavior.
I don’t pretend to know the motives behind this assassination. But it’s clear from his own words and the clues provided by the engravings that this was a very sick and twisted mind who planned and pulled the trigger because he had formed extreme hate toward Charles. I don’t think this is a stretch to imagine how that happened given the weirdo is practicing very revolting and perverse sexual things with another man…with his background as we reading about it, he must have known what he was doing was a sinful abomination. people that know they are sinning in this way, are almost always very angry at themselves…disgusted even….This self hate cannot solve itself without admitting and fixing the sin. Charles was telling a generation of young people to fix their lives and quit the sin and follow Jesus. The motivation of a killer to try and silence Charles would be akin to trying to get the “voices out of his head”. It is most unfortunate this killer will not find any satisfaction in what he has done…only more misery..that’s how it works…you can sin your way back into health. Satan will tell you its possible, but that is the core deception that Satan represents. that you can do anything that you want if it feels good. the killer is going to have a very miserable life or regret and dissapointment…a problem I wish on no one. There are few people who can endure that kind of terminal pain. He will likely take his own life given the chance. It’s just how these things tend to rapidly consume someone like this killer. they look at an excuse to lash out, when really they are simply taking aim at self.
Charles deserved better, was better, and knew about the kinds of sick and twisted minds. I admire his courage to debate that openly, but its clear our intellectual leaders and religious champions need to take as much security and threats very seriously…as much as possible.
I am not saying anything could have been done to prevent this, because clearly a highly motivated assassin is always going to have a way to get to someone, but what worries me isn’t a clone of this killer or copy cats, but the usual breed of criminal and thug who might want to make a name for themselves.
Yes, I believe the FBI has a role to start looking into the kinds of people who attend these events and find out who they are, if there is an organizational structure, what they discuss and if there are any threats that can be acted on.

the screw driver is probably a tool he used to rack open a door into the building roof. OR it might have been used to keep a door open like a jam that would allow him to escape rapidly. usually, roof level building doors are secured to prevent students from gaining access to do “things”…not the least of which is to use the area for mischief, which students ARE want to do. He might also have had the tool because he needed it to get his car started….he just strikes me as someone who didn’t really finish things..and people that young who are not that ambitious usually find they have to hack their way to the next paycheck.

I’m old enough to remember FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover– and some of those who came along after. Hoover ran the FBI with an iron fist. He was certainly astute enough to promote himself and the FBI at any chance he could. People either liked him or hated him.
It seems to me that a lot of folks on our side should look up the definition of “Director.” A director DIRECTS. He does not necessarily get personally involved in investigations. I admit I am a fan of Director Patel as a person. That being said he would not have been my first choice. But with our wish-washy Republicans in the Senate I seriously doubt a fire breathing dragon would have been confirmed. Tom Holman and Stephen Miller ARE fire breathing dragons but neither had to face crucifying confirmation hearings.
While I applaud “transparency,” in the law enforcement business they need to keep certain aspects close to their vests until ALL LEGAL protocols are “in the can” and the subject is charged. The LAST thing we need is for the evidence to be tainted before that. I know everybody wants to know everything right NOW! The mass media and it’s co-dependent partner “The Internet” spread snippets of information so rapidly (who got here first mentality) what is first announced is usually not 100% correct. The FBI and other LEOs have to get all the ‘i-s’ dotted and the ‘t-s’ crossed. We’ve all witnessed in the past years mis-statements, dis-statements, out-right lies and David Copperfield level illusions to CREATE sound bytes and distractions.
I think we need to cut the guy a little slack. He has a HUGE mess to clean up. I’m sure President Trump is watching closely. The most important thing right now is for the person who murdered Charlie Kirk is prosecuted (air tight evidence) to the fullest extent of the law. AND to investigate who or what is behind the hate that created this monster. Speculation and wild ass guesses are NOT evidence. The FBI and others can find out. Can they, yes. Will they, it is up to us to put their feet to the first and never give up until they do.
Those complaining about Patel have some valid points, but seem to have forgotten that the FBI has long been a ponderous, schlerotic bureaucracy that focuses on Process rather than Results. They traditionally attempt to be impressive by sending hundreds of agents to work a case, then grind thrugh it for an eternity. Patel has to beat it into the heads of FBI staff that the old culture will not do. I presume he is demoting himself to lead agent, rather than an executive, because he has no subordinates he can trust to force the necessary changes. Having reliable subordinates in place should have been priority one.
Assuming the reins as “quarterback” has the unfortunate effect of giving oneself no one to blame for the errors and failures that inevitably arise (famous example, Tsar Nikolas II taking command of the Russian Army in WWI meant every setback was his fault — didn’t work out well for him). I’m not sure how Patel goes back to be the exec operating a vast department while reforming it from within. I wish him luck.
