I like Dan Bongino, but as was evident on his podcast… he’s highly emotional and not a great poker player. He wears his feelings on his sleeve. This was an unfortunate placement for him.

Agreed. Use the volunteers to be crowd watchers. I am not a security expert, but have certainly learned basics from friends, reading, video, military, volunteering, etc. I look at rooftops, I look at trash on the ground, look for excessive sweating/nervousness, mumbling, newly shaved beards, odd behavior. Neck tats are a thing too. I look into people’s eyes, do the swivel thing.
I have volunteered at a gazillion events over the years of all varieties starting w/church functions as a kid. Most organizers give a mini-training on how to check ID’s, attach arm bands, direct the traffic flow of people, spot anything out of place, be aware of the drunks, lost kids, where the first aid/toilets are located, listen, look, and report immediately to Marge in Charge anything suspicious. Some events we had to have an actual class before we could volunteer.
There is no reason all these college kids couldn’t be taught the same as they work as volunteers, especially after the Trump attempt. And certainly a young person of their caliber could use a cheap drone, as a volunteer to get a free T-shirt and hat. No doubt some would be thrilled to do it.

Given the amount of serious death threats we’re now learning that he was dealing with, I was shocked watching Charlie sit there in the chair and ‘become a still target’.
It seems like common sense to me to not do such a thing.
I’m outraged at how poorly these people are being protected by security teams that supposedly do this for a living.
It could be that the University was to provide perimeter security. If that’s the case, they’re going to need really good attorneys. There was at least one dude on the ground who filmed the shooter in getting into position. So it’s not like people couldn’t see him. And such an obvious vantage. I wonder what security protocols looked like at other events in that pavilion.
Kirk had on body armor. Just an inch or so lower and he still may have been hurt but he’d likely be alive. He took security seriously. But he also took his messages seriously. He wanted to get out and meet with these kids face to face. They blew him away for it. He knew that risk and did it anyway. The balls.

I’m no longer a fan of the police. I remember someone having meth made next door and she was advised to find a pay phone if she wanted to report it to police. Just saying. They need to restore their relationship with us. Someone close to me reported a crime and the police tried to make the reporting individual complicit with the crime because he chose the wrong person in the lineup. It was a very rapid situation so easy to be unsure. Better to stay clear of them as much as possible.
I, too am an old lady, and I got so sick of California after 35 years there and things getting worse every single year, that I bit the bullet, sold my house, and moved one state over. Thank God for that. It was the hardest thing ever, but I did it and I made it, with several ‘health’ conditions. Maybe you should do it too.

Enlarge the video and watch. I had to do that with prompting from a treeper the other day. He clearly is holding something in both hands as he crosses the roof. In his left hand it looks like cloth of some sort as you can see it moving with the air, perhaps the gun. In his right when he gets near the edge of the roof is his backpack. He sets both down and turns around to climb over the edge and places his feet on a small ledge or decoration on the building. He retrieved both items he had set down before getting in position to climb down. You can see it pretty plainly if you look for it.
Guns don’t look like cloth. When he jumped he retrieved his backpack and something smallish like maybe his sunglasses fell off and as running looks like he put them back on.
We’ve gone from FBI directors who will cut your throat while smiling in your face, placating you to pajama boys who can’t wipe without getting their hands dirty then crying for their mommy. Un fng beleivable.

The FBI politicized involvement with J6, Russia collusion, Muller investigation, Hunter’s laptop and who knows how many other events should be cause for disbanding the entire agency. Looks like Patel and Bongino were put in their positions to restore public confidence in the FBI and somehow turn it around. Sorry boys. Until you clean house and eliminate all those who participated in any of these events I have no faith in your leadership or judgment. Using a tragic assassination as a PR event is making you look like fools. The American people want those bad actors terminated and indicted. Do your job.

Charlie Kirk had multiple death threats many from ANTIFA but the FBI didn’t think it was necessary to assign several agents to assist with security at his college appearance events? Kash Patel and Bongino were personal friends of Charlie Kirk and his family! All of this horrible tragedy could have been avoided by simply posting an FBI agent, police officer or even an observer on a rooftop!
What do you think their operating manual says about dealing with private figures with Kirk’s profile and stature? Surely, they must have some written guidelines. We need to see them.

I have never been anywhere near Charlie Kirk, and I find myself still mourning. Reflecting today on what is prompting this reaction, I am reminded of what I see as the lingering trauma of the three (actually 4) landmark ass-ssinations of my generation: JFK, RFK, MLK, and yes, Malcom X.*
I sense the same feeling of sadness and apprehension.
Having witnessed the officials in the last administration display such a cold heart and attitude in every public utterance that I saw, I far prefer seeing the heart of the officials in this administration. Even our President has shown his heart in these last few days.

I can’t watch Bongino these days. He was a tough truth-teller, willing to cross any prevailing narrative. Like any natural truth-teller, he makes a poor liar. Kash spends 25% of his talking congratulating himself and his partner for the excellent way they do everything. It gets old fast, and it’s not believable.
They could have done a blow-by-blow explanation of how the assassination took place. They could have questioned why security didn’t have eyes up high. But they instead answered disjointed questions, which was hard to follow and left numerous gaps. Like how a 3′ rifle with a long stock can fit into a backpack. Or how the perp found time to break it down. I am very unsatisfied with the way they are presenting this case to the public. Trust must be earned, not presumed.

Thank you for showing the whole video, Sundance as this has been hard to access today. I don’t care what all the curmudgeons here say about Dan. IMO, he is the real deal and we are incredibly fortunate to have him working this case. He is a man of integrity and faith, like Charlie, and I believe he will not leave any stone unturned to find Charlie’s killers. He is working his tail off. If there is anyone motivated to stay on this and hunt down every last one of those involved in this, Dan is the one. This helps give me peace in the wake of this horrific, heartbreaking tragedy.
The Eeyores here have so quickly forgotten what it was like to have an FBI focused on covering up/destroying evidence to protect their pet criminals. I admit I can be like Eeyore sometimes too, but I do try to be objective and acknowledge the positive side of what’s going on and give credit where it’s due. Dan deserves a lot of credit.
