The Utah Dept of Public Safety and FBI held a press conference to announce the arrest of Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident, for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
According to details released to the Daily Mail, the killer confessed to his father Matt Robinson, a member of law enforcement. His father, a 27-year-member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, then contacted authorities and secured his son before he could be taken into custody.

I have been teaching for 35 years. In my first decade of teaching, there were very few kids with ADHD. The numbers steadily increased over the years. Now there is a line of kids at the nurse’s office waiting to take their afternoon meds. I cannot remember a single kid with autism in my first ten years. Now I have several, including kids who need to have an aid sit with them so they can function in a regular classroom. At my school, an aid is assigned to a classroom if there are a certain number of special needs students, including ADHD, autism, and behavior issues. I have been at this school for five years. My first year, I had one class with an aid. Second and third years I had none. Now I have three classes with aids. This means a lot of a teacher’s time goes into meeting IEP’s (individual education plans) and going to meetings to help these kids learn in a “regular” classroom.
I use that to explain my belief in the Bible. I really believe that people tried to make use of people’s attributes and I suspect that the high functioning autistic people with the incredible memories were used to write the Bible.

Other influences, too much time on social media, and possibly pharmaceutical drugs or other drugs all can play a part in a person’s becoming unhinged. My daughter got quack counselling in college and I had to find a good solid Christian counselor to undo the damage. She was only 22 at the time. Thankfully we went to counseling together and got things straightened out. To this day I wonder who the heck that quack counselor was and what lying ideas she shared with my daughter.

Plenty of times in history when parent(s) can seemingly do everything “right” and the kid still turns out to be a bad apple, including in the presence of siblings who turned out Ok. Sometimes it’s just that way.
Siblings and their relationship to one parent or another can also have a bad or good influence… Then there’s what they call “nature,” for some, or the invisible brain damage of toxic exposures in utero or in early childhood that can influence the parent-child relationship…
This is not to excuse Kirk’s killer, but the subject of what his influences were came up and I will hold one or both parents responsible for contributing to his dehumanization of Kirk if any facts are revealed that I think support it.

I think he should get the death penalty. I have some empathy for the family and even for him as a radicalized young person. But still he should get the death penalty. In September 2010, I went to see Andrew Breitbart speak at the Allstate Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.
As most of us know he died suddenly, allegedly shortly after having dinner with Bill Ayers of Students for a Democrat Society fame.
October 2018, I attended a scheduled appearance of Candice Owens at the JW Marriott in the Chicago Loop.
Candace was a no-show due to airline schedule issues (or that was the story).
But Charlie Kirk and the Turning point group was also there to speak.
I had never heard of Charlie or Turning Point until I sat in the audience.
As I sat, I was totally blown away by Charlie and his articulation and presence.
He was a truly gifted young man.
In March of 2016 I attended a scheduled appearance of then presidential candidate President Donald Trump at the University of Illinois Chicago Pavillion.
President Trump cancelled his appearance moments before he was scheduled to take the stage due to suspicions of trouble and indeed there was because the venue was peppered with leftist shitbirds who started to create chaos upon the announcement candidate Trump would not be appearing.
There has been nothing comparable whereby people on the right have done against the opposition what we have seen the left do to us.

The problem I have with this shooting is that the shooter was at the top of a building shooting down into a covered tent. Others had to know the perfect spot for such a shot. A plane flying without radar on, there’s quite a bit that doesn’t add up. This had to be coordinated!
As someone on X posted, a high schooler with a $100 drone from Amazon could’ve provided the rooftop security.
All the police had to do was station an officer or even a civilian observer on one of the rooftops overlooking the venue and it probably would have prevented.

IMO, the only thing we know for sure is that the FBI has Tyler Robinson in custody.
It’s early days, as time goes on, the picture will get clearer.
I am biased against the MSM. I don’t trust anything the MSM puts out (print, talking heads shows, regular news, Left, Right, or in the middle. That doesn’t mean I don’t look at some of it, but early on, the MSM is usually all over the place with the facts and the spin.

For those who want to know what comes next as to Robinson , the Utah state procedure is:
Initial Appearance: The defendant makes their first appearance in court, usually within 72 hours of the arrest. At this stage, the judge informs the defendant of the charges against them and determines if there is probable cause for the arrest. The judge also decides whether to set bail or release the defendant on their own recognizance.
Preliminary Hearing (for felony cases): A preliminary hearing is held to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. The prosecution presents evidence and witnesses, and the defense has an opportunity to cross-examine witnesses. If the judge finds there is enough evidence, the case proceeds to the next stage.
Arraignment: The defendant is formally charged and enters a plea of guilty, not guilty, or no contest. If the defendant pleads not guilty, a trial date is set.
The prosecution will only present enough evidence to sustain the charges at this stage. And obviously, no bail in a capital murder case.
I have not heard of any federal charges yet.
