The Utah Dept of Public Safety and FBI held a press conference to announce the arrest of Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident, for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
According to details released to the Daily Mail, the killer confessed to his father Matt Robinson, a member of law enforcement. His father, a 27-year-member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, then contacted authorities and secured his son before he could be taken into custody.
[…] His mother, Amber Robinson, works for Intermountain Support Coordination Services, a company contracted by the state of Utah to help disabled people receive care.
Robinson was a student at Utah State University on a scholarship but attended for only one semester in 2021, insiders confirmed to Daily Mail. Robinson was taken into custody around 11pm local time in southern Utah on Thursday night.
[…] Cox said that casings from the weapon used to kill Kirk were found to have several anti-fascist messages engraved on them, including one referencing the WW2 Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.
One engraving read ‘Hey Fascists, Catch!’ – next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols – and another read ‘If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO’, Cox said.
The governor added that Robinson’s roommate helped investigators by showing messages on Discord where the alleged killer talked about retrieving a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, and references to engraved bullets and a scope. (read more)

My best guess is that this wasn’t a “conspiracy” in the classic way we use the term. There are “radicalizers” who spend all their time online grooming vulnerable people to do radical things.
This generation isn’t like us. They think that online friends are the same thing as real friends. They spend way too much time on social media and all you have to do is drop the terms “fascist”, “Hitler”, “threat to democracy”, “need to silence them”, in ever-increasing and strident terms and someone somewhere is going to snap. They don’t need to directly contact or help plan anything.
Feds need to find every single person on the social media sites he was on that encouraged him along the way and charge them with something
What happens when the Federal Agents responsible for the investigations are the same ones radicalizing those individuals?
Lest we forget, the harebrained kidnapping plot against Governor Gretchen Whitmer not so long ago was organized by a group of individuals most of whom were found to be confidential informants for the FIB.
Ditto all the agent provocateurs at the January 6th rally in 2021.
Exactly. This has the IC fingerprints all over it.
The FIBS are evil. How did this killer retrieve his guns and ammo, training and planned this by himself?
The killer could NOT do this by himself. He’s a weakling that lives in mommy and daddy’s basement. The killer is an evil grown man.
Gee, no one checked the roof tops of every building?
This POS will not get the death penalty or he will be found not guilty, or guilty with probation or serve 2 years or less because of our corrupt Judcial system.
I was encouraged by the press conference last evening, that Kash Patel stayed in the background. The FBI has a history of pushing local LE aside and of being publicity hounds.
Maybe he really will reform the FBI.
Note: the fake kidnapping plot against Whitmer was despicable. A few pot-smoking losers were led around by their noses into “plotting”. They never would have done anything without FBI pushing them and providing funding and transportation. The whole case is a scandal and injustice. Those who carried that plot out, need to pay!
It is a conspiracy to create radicals to undermine our country.
There is an overall plan directing this: trans ideology, blm, Antifa, defund police, illegal alien invasion, undermining the economy (Powell is the ultimate stay behind)
And, the identical formula is being used in Western Europe.
This is a plan.
It also keeps the FBI employed, when they can “make their own work” by encouraging informants to commit crimes. The they can monitor these people on lists forever. We would call that entrapment if it weren’t the Feds.
pHARMa has been doing it for many decades, FWIW…
WE have to be insufferably relentless in our DEMANDS about revealing every criminal’s ‘legal drug’ – trans, psych, +++ everything-regimen
I would have to agree.
It’s nothing new. Since people were people, radical crazies have tried to recruit others to their cause. There are countless times in history where people have stood on a box, printed leaflets, spoke from a throne, used government propaganda, or used others to spread their crazy thoughts.
Is it a plan? There is no evidence of that but the internet just makes it all happen much faster. The days of printing a dozen fliers and posting them on the local fences and buildings are over. Used to be newspapers took weeks to get out to those on the frontier and many never even got the “news”. Now it takes seconds, and the ability to do so is in the hands of an infinitely larger group of crazies because of technology.
He was an antifa type where people like him are used.
Remember the blm antifa priviledged got nothin better to to do.
they join a radical group to feel like they belong.
Trans killers and radical live at home dtopouts are coming out of the generationsl woodwork in a deadly way.
Start with MSNBC and CNN.
Nice post Charles Dodgson. So perhaps this was more like the J6 FBI hosting the protest? Opening the magnetic door locks located inside the Capitol to let the protesters in? Sorta like that? So “influencers”?
Interesting. Modus operandi are the similarities in a crime, repeated over and over.
If it is our own government acting against us….does it make sense that they would be the ones investigating themselves?
Just a thought…and yes, I do think that our government has some truly evil people in it.
We shall see the similarites soon enough.
Some possible upcoming similarities: Like the home and electronic footprints of the Trump Butler “assassin” any evidence and everything leading to the State sponsors/handlers is deleted, scrubbed. Butler PA shooter on top of a building for a perfect shot. What a logisitical miracle, right? The next coincidence….the exact physical location of President Trump on the Golf course and the murky persona of the shooter is just coincidence as well. Insiders giving assistance to the assassins? Or, should we believe the narrative these are all geniuses that have the instincts of professional hitmen…..eyeroll/
So many coincidences. Luck of the draw….shot in the dark. Maybe these skinny weirdos should play the lottery or bet on the ponies instead of murdering Christians.
I don’t believe in coincidence. Not this many “coincidences”. No.
This is professionally managed in one form or another. Just like President Kennedy…..and the magic bullet. Some people still believe that Warren Commission crap. Probably the same ones that see the 9/11 highjackers passports surviving as a miraculous “coincidence”. No responsibility taken that these participants had State sponsored support both foreign and domestic. Silence. Silence is always the cherry on top.
Yeah…..no.
I understand that people want to feel safe. Don’t want to believe that a huge force is behind all these attacks on Christians. How many times does this have to happen before these “findings” are challenged?
These happenings should be challenged. Severely challenged. Not investigated by the participants. We should never allow the criminals to cover-up their crimes. Haven’t we had enough bogus hearings?
If it isn’t a “conspiracy” then where are all the facts about Butler PA? How did that skinny kid manage to take a swipe at the President of the United States? Silence about the “security” malfunctions that gave the Butler weirdo complete access.
I see complicity. I also say that it is fair to add up all these attacks on our Republic and hold this DOJ and it’s government accountable. Stupid, skinny boys aside.
God forbid that we should examine the facts that point to our government and the Lobbyists and Special Interests that control them/sarc.
Don’t believe the narrative. Always question them. They lie.
The governor added that Robinson’s roommate helped investigators by showing messages on Discord where the alleged killer talked about retrieving a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, and references to engraved bullets and a scope.
And it didn’t enter into his pee size brain to call the authorities? Not only could this have save Charlie’s life it could have saved Robinsons as well.
He was in on it. They need to get a warrant for the discord server. It is likely full of little communists like Tyler.
Discord is run by leftists who have repeatedly resisted cracking down on transgender/pedophile grooming gangs.
Wasn’t there a (male) gay, trans discord moderator who identified as a deer? I am not making that up.
Presumably not in hunting season …
<chuckles>
He had a lot of deer fwiends.
Aiding and abetting technically
But the roommate IS a university student.
Just sayin’.
Which same seems to indicate the mess our public education system is in. Utah now famous for peas-ized brains.
Utahns held vigils and prayed for Charlie. There were no riots, no burning cars. Tyler was turned in by his own father.
What about the 2 guys standing near Charlie doing hand signals like baseball 14 seconds before the shot? Who are those guys?
Who put the rifle at the “drop point”?
Tyler did. He ran into the woods after the shooting and left it there wrapped in a towel. He was discussing retrieving it with the room mate via discord chat.
That’s what I thought I heard but the question remains, “why was he discussing obstruction of justice with a roommate?”
Because the roommate is complicit.
Very likely. I’m sure the roommate didn’t walk away from the FBI w/o charges.
That was all after the fact.
I should believe anything the FIB says why?
Young woman sacrificed on the alter of PC and a young man on the alter of woke?
Nah I don’t think so.
Breaking: Utah Governor Confirms Others Assisted Tyler Robinson in Kirk Killing—Discord Coordination, Bullet Casings Say Everything About His Ideology
The plot thickens in the tragic assassination of conservative trailblazer Charlie Kirk, and it’s painting a picture of calculated radicalism that’s impossible to ignore. Utah Governor Spencer Cox dropped bombshells in a press conference today, confirming that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson—the monster now in custody—didn’t act alone. Robinson, who confessed to his sheriff dad before getting turned in, coordinated with at least one accomplice via Discord to snag the rifle from a pre-arranged drop point. And those bullet casings? Engraved with taunts like “Hey Fascist! Catch!” and references to “Bella Ciao,” the WWII Italian antifascist resistance song that’s become an ANTIFA anthem. It’s straight out of the far-left playbook, screaming the ideology that fueled this hate crime.
Cox laid it out plain: Robinson had grown “more political” lately, ranting about his loathing for Kirk—the guy who turned campuses into battlegrounds for free thought, rallying millions against the woke machine. This wasn’t some lone wolf snap; it was premeditated, with Discord chats setting up the weapon handoff that led to the rooftop sniper shot ending Kirk’s life mid-Q&A at Utah Valley University. “Bella Ciao,” popularized by shows like Money Heist and chanted at ANTIFA rallies, ties right into the resistance narrative these extremists twist to justify violence against anyone they brand a “fascist.” And that “Hey Fascist! Catch!”? It’s the kind of smug, hateful jab you’d expect from groups that riot unchecked, demonizing conservatives as enemies of progress.
https://redstatenation.com/breaking-utah-governor-confirms-others-assisted-tyler-robinson-in-kirk-killing-discord-coordination-bullet-casings-say-everything-about-his-ideology/
The other guy in the Butler attempt also had ANTIFA ties. Had been arrested at a demonstration. I can’t believe I can’t even remember his name, so much has happened. My mind cannot contain it all. Max something (the guy I always thought was the dead guy on the roof, not Crooks).
IMHO this guy’s a patsy. He definitely is part of a larger, dark conspiracy to silence Charlie Kirk and cutoff the younger generation from the best and most influential well-reasoned voice of Christian / MAGA principles.
The stakes are too high for this indoctrinated dweeb to have planned and executed his alone. The anti-freedom dark forces are desperate. I’m not optimistic that the FBI has the stones to diligently search down, find, and expose ALL of the perps behind the plot to demoralize, destroy & subjugate the once-sovereign U.S.
His own father turned him in. The FBI didn’t even know who he was.
Patsy is a stretch here.
But who knows, maybe you are correct.
Father had to turn him in, lest he be an accomplice/harboring a fugitive. Wonder what his father’s political leanings are. Mother was a social worker, so probably “woke”. Not all LE are conservatives. I am shocked at how many anti-Trump people there are at my job as a fed contractor for a federal LE agency. Some of them have expressed quietly that somehow Kirk deserved this.
This is Utah. He lived in Washington, UT in the far SW corner of the state. Utah is mostly small towns where everybody knows everybody else. The only “blue” and urban areas are Salt Lake City and Park City, both 4 – 5 hours drive from Washington.
I am not saying he’s innocent. He may have fired off a shot at Kirk. But he was too easy to trace and catch. He’s a tool – a sacrificial tool.
A professional would not have allowed his face to be captured by cameras because he would have visited the site beforehand and screened for all cameras that might pickup his access and egress. A professional would not have fired from such an exposed position on a rooftop; just like the young man in Butler was NOT alone either – he was simply the one most visible…for a reason.
And what about the mysterious private jet that left Provo Airport (next to Orem) 1 hr after the shooting, flew it south towards Arizona border, then turned off their mandatory ID marker signal for 30-45 minutes, then turned it back on when returning to the Provo airport? Timing was uncannily perfect for a perp to escape the area on foot then be picked up by a waiting vehicle and whisked over to the airport to get on the private jet and depart, since no law enforcement official thought to halt all outbound flights from that close-by airfield.
Arizona? Where the funeral will be? And attended by well known people and people watching on TV? That’s a scary thought.
Yeah, but Tyler wasn’t on that jet. He went home to Washington, UT, about 3.5 hours drive from Orem.
Geo. Soros funded & installed literally thousands of marxist county sheriffs throughout the US…
this dad may not be marxist BUT his dept. – the elected county sheriff – likely IS;
(is the dad the elected county sheriff???)…
the soros-marxist-installed county sheriffs are in the majority nationwide.
I’m unclear on who’s the elected sheriff of that county; that is relevant… so is how did he get elected.
re: “IMHO this guy’s a patsy.”
Not this chit again.
Patsy doesn’t mean I think he’s innocent. Read what I posted to Oldersoul above.
He’s the Lee Harvey Oswald of this situation???
“I’m just a patsy” Oswald cried out moments before he was murdered.
I thought of that scene as Gov. Cox relayed that Robinson was being held
at a holding cell in Washington County, Utah.
That grisly scene from 1963 has been retained in memory for anyone that saw live when
Jack Ruby eluded all security points to silence the “patsy,” Oswald.
Authorities better be alerted about the danger during any transfer of custody.
Robinson’s people are ruthless killers. They don’t want him talking.
Come to think of it, Oswald’s people are also Robinson’s people. I’m also struck by their physical resemblance and aura.
And subsequent real investigations revealed that indeed, Oswald was set up and obviously a patsy.
I’m just suggesting we keep our minds open that the most obvious isn’t always the end of the story.
Occams Razor devotees won’t like me but IDC.
That was gruesome. I was in 2nd grade and saw it live on TV.
The question that nobody is asking is, when and where did this guy get the skill to take a shot like that to hit his target with ONE shot and not hurt anyone else or missing his target? It’s nearly impossible unless you’ve had military training (which I seriously doubt he did) OR you’re Jason Bourne or Mark Walhburg in Shooter. Many mistakes in the narrative they’re giving. Changing clothing on the roof? Really? Look at the Director’s face when that is mentioned.
Don’t you know anyone that has hunted since they were 10 years old?
In Calif we get this message 24/7, particularly from the Indivisible crowd: Trump is Hitler; No Kings; Save Democracy .Trump is a fascist.
Every astro-turf rally; every “home made” protest sign. All with the same message. Ad nauseam.
Indivisible crowd active in South Carolina. Bullies. Intimidation tactics. Their actions indicate if you don’t agree with them they will attempt to shut you down. No free speech if you disagree with them.
They are active in Limestone County, AL. They truly are as you describe.
The timeline shows he used the stairwell to access the roof of the building. I’m pretty sure most buildings have locked access to maintenance areas of a building. A roof area would qualify as a maintenance area. So who unlocked the door for Tyler to access the roof? I suppose he could have picked the lock but the door probably required a badge swipe. The police should examine who provided access to the roof.
Students reported access to the roof was easy, they just had to step over a railing, on the opposite side from where he dropped down to escape.
Antifa are the FIBS. Local police officers across the country know what’s going on, that’s why they don’t arrest the IC anarchists.
When he jumped off the roof I did not see him with a gun when he ran away
yes I watched the videos of what they claimed was him going to the event and the vids of him leaving the building. I paused it several times and saw no evidence of a rifle. No limp indicating he did not hide the rifle in his pants leg. The material he had in his hand when leaving was limp.
I hope you’re not selected for his jury trial, if he has one. Look closer and do a little homework. The limp was on his way to his sniper perch
“There’s a movement happening that you need to know about.
It’s a massive trend sweeping TikTok right now, where lifelong Democrats and even self-described liberals… nose rings and all… are announcing they’re done with the Democrat Party. What brought all this on? Watching their fellow Dems openly celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk.”
https://revolver.news/2025/09/tens-of-thousands-walkaway-after-seeing-celebrations-of-charlie-kirks-assassination/
I’ll believe it when they start voting for hard asses who will crack the skulls of their major donors and take the government checks away from their voters.
^^^ THIS ^^^
That is good news!
Thank you.
Now may the Lord be magnified and many come to Christ!
I should agree with you, Val, readily. But I would like to see justice served (capital punishment) first.
These Democrat pols will be continue to be “reelected” with overwhelming majorities in their districts short of securing the ballot box.
As long as mail in voting is allowed the democrats will steal elections. It’s September and Trump has discussed election reform but I have seen nothing in practice yet. Mail in voting, bloated voter rolls, voting machines all are the tools for election fraud. Heck earlier this week Broward County Florida was found to have added 100,000 democrat voters to their rolls. While Republicans run from drama event to drama event the democrat machine is working to rig and steal the next election.
No surprise.
Ok, so where was the gun when he jumped off of the roof? If he dropped it off of the roof, who put it into the woods?
Jeff breaks it all down
NEW FBI CCTV Video Charlie Kirk Shooter, POV
There was clearly a rifle barrel sticking out of that material after he jumped. He did have a limp as he was walking towards the campus.
I also noticed that whatever he was carrying when he jumped down from the roof was limp and watched that segment multiple times.
It did not appear to me that package or towel or whatever it was could contain a .30-06 rifle, unless it was broken down first.
Even if it was, the black towel or bag did not appear to be long enough to contain the gun.
Perhaps he dropped it of the back side of the building to an accomplice?
I certainly can’t know, but maybe time will tell.
At any rate, I am glad the assassin has been arrested.

NEW FBI CCTV Video Charlie Kirk Shooter, POV
One video shows him limping–thought he probably injured himself jumping off that 12′ drop from the window ledge off the roof. Could that item he was carrying been the rifle, broken down? How did he get it from the roof to the drop point?
I clearly saw the rifle. When he jumped it protruded from a towel… he stopped and re-wrapped it before he took off.
This is how trust works. You have been reliable so often that I lean to accepting your take
I believe he had it wrapped in his hand.
He appeared to have the reported dark towel covering something and when he gets up to take off running there is something that could be the gun covered by the reported dark towel.
I personally could care less if he had the rifle shoved up his 🐽.
The critical point is the murderer is in jail.
🔒
He had a sling on it, set it down and picked it up again. The video was pretty long range, I didn’t see how he hid it as he ran.
Designate Antifa a terrorist organization.
TODAY.
Thought that had already happened?
Then where is the action?
Pam? Kash? Put down the studio mics, and do some work.
This is my line for them.
Regarding trust
I think the Auto Pen’s AG said ANTIFA didn’t exist, or their attacks aren’t terrorism or some such rot.
That obviously means they were an integral part of Democrats getting Trump out of office. Protecting their own.
But why haven’t Bondi and Patel started prosecuting Antifa for their crimes?
BTW, I was just rereading Angelo Codevilla’s work on the American Ruling Class.
https://web.archive.org/web/20150714235155/http://spectator.org/articles/39326/americas-ruling-class-and-perils-revolution
He doesn’t call it a Uniparty, but same diff.
He argues that it has been created over more than a hundred years.
Such an UnAmerican concept. That elites decide everything, and do so hating the people they rule. That membership in the ruling class is more important than party or voters.
That is as good an explanation as possible for Antifa terrorists not to be on the DOJ’s or FBI’s target list. I initially wrote reason instead of explanation, but there are no good reasons. Not even if Antifa are members of that Big Club that George Carlin always told us we weren’t part of.
The reason why I looked it up, is that I believe that Obama orchestrated a coup using that club against We the People. It hadn’t been fully implemented and required Hillary to finish. Delegitimizing Trump and egging on the Resistance continued the Coup, but focused it against Trump. The tools used against Trump and us were created under Obama. Censorship. Propaganda. Using Government against the People. Forcing us to suffer under their insanities. All created to overthrow government by the people and for the people. But used incompetently to oust Trump and then to incompetently try to destroy Trump and us his followers.
That coup recruited this elite for an all of society push. Like the picture of Obama with the tech leaders.
I worry though that some of those who participated broke away and helped Trump, yet they are still manipulating to put in place the worst of the things that the coup used COVID to try to force on us. Digital surveillance and such horrors.
And sure enough Trump just had dinner with such leaders, including abominations like Gates.
So is Antifa still useful for Bindi and Parel? Is that why they allow it to function?
Designate the democrats as terrorists
And lets us not forget all those leftist teachers and professors pumping that head full of hate and commie sludge
Should have happened at the end of the Civil War.
And the MSM – both TV and print.
Is hard for the FBI to go after the FBLie.
And that is the nub of the problem.
This is not an organic movement. The IC has carefully nurtured this movement, stocked it with heroic slogans from actual heroes from ww2, false heroic objectives for current political objectives, etc. in order to create civil war conditions here in the US.
The parallels to the Russia-Uke civil war is stark.
1. Fighting amongst Slavs/ Americans
2. Outside financing to prop up their Uke’s/ trans indoctrination, grooming, surgery, etc.
3. Mockingbird press giving full throated, uninhibited support irrespective of opposing facts
This is an IC operation to create civil war with our tax money in both cases.
It is the only way that a few can control the many.
Podesta and team are pretty good. You got to hand it to them.
Anyone who claims Antifa needs to be more radioactive to law enforcement than radical Islamists, organized crime, drug cartels and the kkk combined. It should be task #1 for Pam, Kash and Dan to put this nonsense out of commission with every investigative and prosecutorial tool possible.
Antifa is a very loose group. Hard to tie them down, or this character to them.
They have meetings regularly. The NSA can track them down.
Don’t forget the Democratic Socialists of America, which Robinson was a member. I would throw in the Southern Poverty Center for good measure.
….and those within our government who protect and guide them.
The great FBI arrest? Don’t think so. I’ve read it was the dad who arrested him. The FBI had pics, foot print, etc., and couldn’t find their way out of the coffee shop.
Student and professor at college saw someone on roof earlier in wk and notified FBI….they didn’t react…surprised?
Read that article again. The person did NOT report it until AFTER the shooting.
Curious – were the student and professor different people from the one who reported it after the shooting?
If that information was gleaned from The Gateway Pundit, it was clickbait. Not true.
Neither the professor nor the student contacted the FBI until AFTER the shooting.
There seems to be a deliberate attempt by some people on here to slander and knock out The Gateway Pundit.
I have been following TGP since 2015 and they have backed Trump all the way.
So cease and desist your mudslinging.
First of all, get your terms correct. Libel is defamation done by way of writing; slander is defamation done by speech.
Truth is a total defense to a defamation action.
What I wrote is 100% true. Thus, not defamation.
The title of the Gateway Pundit article:
Utah College Student Reported Suspicious Man on Losee Center Roof to FBI After Spotting Him Twice in Two Weeks Before Charlie Kirk Assassination — Says Suspect Matches Person of Interest and Was Confronted by Professor
Reading the headline, one would reasonably believe that the professor and the student reported the sighting to the FBI a week before Charlie Kirk’s slated 9-10-25 event.
Yet, here is the text of the article:
“It was weird,” the student told CNN.
According to the student, he made a report to the FBI tipline after the shooting, alerting federal authorities that he had seen this figure.
More from the far-left news outlet:
This is classic click-bait. I too clicked on the article, expecting to find out that the FBI had again been notified, in advance, of a serious situation, but had not taken any action. I was disappointed when I read the article.
I have not “slandered” or attempted to “knock out” The Gateway Pundit.
I have been following The Gateway Pundit since 2016. I read it every day.
You accuse me of “mudslinging.” That term refers to an unfair or scandalous attack upon someone for purpose of demeaning them.
I ask you, what is unfair or scandalous in telling the truth? That is exactly what I did.
I would ask you to please read the Gateway Pundit article yourself, in toto, and then respond. I anticipate that it will be with an apology to me and an admission that you were wrong.
I agree. GP often has juicy headlines – sometimes even misleading or wrong – but too often followed by meatless articles.
I scan GP headlines a few times every day to learn what’s “hot” in the breaking news category… but a couple years back I learned to not expect much substance in the articles under the headlines. Occasionally they do a bang-up job and DO publish a more complete article that answers most questions, but unfortunately that’s not the rule for that site. They do a good job of including links to X posts or other news sources when those sources have the best info / photos / videos for the subject at hand.
I think “speed to publishing a breaking story” is their primary objective and they are geared to gather info / images quickly to assemble into an article and create an eye-catching headline. They are a good early site to scan before seeking longer and more thoroughly researched analyses such as what Sundance does here.. IMHO. YMMV.
Yes, excellent description of The Gateway Pundit.
I too scan it several times a day. Often, they provide excellent up-to-date information on breaking stories. The articles themselves are often rather thin on detail.
That is okay, TGP provides a good service in showing that there is a completely other side to the stories being reported (or remaining unreported) in the mainstream media.
In-depth, rigorous analysis takes time and careful thought. This is exactly what we find here in the Treehouse.
In addition to this site, I read TGP, American Thinker, and newsletters from, among others, Jack Cashill and Susan Daniels. Are there other sources that you recommend?
I also read the local San Jose Mercury-News, digital version. It is such total left-wing propaganda, it could be written by the DNC. It is stunning not only for the content, mostly NY Times, AP, or Washington Compost articles, but the lack of content. Anything damaging to the left-wing cause will not appear.
GP can sometimes be over the top and hysterical but I read them too.
TGP lifted the story from CNN, and references CNN in their article. Go back and re-read the TGP headline and article. Neither says the witness reported it to the FBI before the shooting, only after a tipline was set up.
The “before” reference is to when the witness says he saw a suspicious person casing the campus.
Please provide evidence to back up what you say.
How about a link to the information you claim to have.
Otherwise what you posted is not helpful.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/09/utah-college-student-reported-suspicious-man-losee-center/
After reading, please read my response to Mimi, above.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Exactly – multiple sightings of him on the roof days before the event … no ambulance on site, and the nearby private airport was not shut down.
On purpose?
So his dad gets the hundred thousand?
The pastor should get it.
And then give it directly to Charlie Kirk’s family.
The father said he doesn’t want the reward.
When? Has he done a press conference?
Only to be sucked up by lawyers!
The hero of this story if there is such a thing is not the fbi, the governor or state or local law enforcement, its the Dad who did the right thing.
Even excellent investigators need a little luck.
For instance, I’m an excellent driver (never caused an accident),
but, to make it home safely every day, I still need a little luck.
Wouldn’t you say?
Geez. Local LE secured the scene, they and FBI collected evidence, reviewed 7,000 – 10,000 tips, found the video, found the gun, got it to the FBI lab, published the shooter’s photo, and had him in custody in 33 hours. They were not lollygagging about.
and yet through it all they didn’t make the arrest. Hmmmmmm
When does this joker “not kill himself”?
Patel just loves to tell everyone how great his FBI is.
Yes. I always notice that he can’t say anything without praising the FBI.
Notice how he went back to the podium to suck up to Bondi?
It’s called ‘esprit de corps.’ Even lousy unit commanders of lousy units can’t fight without bolstering esprit de corps.
Or they should just surrender to the enemy. Maybe you’re routing for that?? Or maybe I read you wrong?
All those arrests of antifa and blm – all the funding entities and people for antifa, lawfare, despoiling children arrested and shut down – all the Biden officials who ignored their oaths to uphold law arrested and sued (Mayorkas, am looking at you) – all those corrupt government officials authorizing spending for their relatives and friends now sitting in jail awaiting trial – all those FBI “agents” who have been fired for acting against citizens – Hmmmm, must have missed all that.
He has his opportunity with no excuse and leverage.
He fails now, he is against us
Three arrows down from helldiver.
The chao chao shit is a commie song
Do you think they are smart enough to know the difference?
Great for him.
Every weekend in Vegas, with taxpayer-paid travel.
Hey, it’s Friday, and he’s already in Utah. It’s almost a shuttle flight now!
He is trying to re-establish ties to local FBI and local LE.

Maybe because he reads comments like yours.
THIRTY-THREE HOURS AIN’T BAD. OR DO YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION?
At least he likes it..
OTOH in yesterday’s press conference, he stayed quiet in the background. The FBI has a long-standing reputation for pushing local LE aside and grandstanding for publicity.
Maybe Kash really is reforming the FBI.
I’m as distrustful of the FBI as everyone on here, but we have to fight them with TRUTH and untruths like TGP and WendyPeterson on X posted that a student noticed and reported to FBI a young man on the roof a week BEFORE the assassination are false. If you read TGPs own report past their created-in-haste headline, that person said he gave that info to the FBI AFTER the assassination!
We have to fight the corruption with truth.
Yup. They created a myth that will now never die.
There are employees that communicate with young people as part of their daily activities.
Some of those employees made verbal celebratory posts online
after word of Charlie passing. ( free speech ). Teaching the youthful that its good or fun to harm others is not wise, or good – nor responsible ‘free speech’.
Subsequently some of those employees are now facing a poor code of conduct situation from their employer ( and public ). In some cases, suspension or loss of employment for not following the employers code of conduct.
Imho
p.s.
In comparison:
People can not legally yell ‘ fire’
in a crowded theatre when there is no fire because that ‘speech’ could harm people which is thereby not responsible speech. If I recall, 1919 Schenck vs USA case, Supreme Court
Imho

But if all you’ve ever done is throw texts around without actually looking someone in the eye you have no idea saying these things is unacceptable. In person, hopefully, someone will give you the stink eye and let you know how ignorant and vile you are for saying such things.
Unfortunately, today’s “don’t judge others” trend is partly at fault. We need to get back to judging and shaming others for bad behavior. Mothers, keep telling your children “stranger danger” and teach them how to observe and take action.
Free speech is not free.
Indeed!
Too often TGP’s headlines and stories read like they are two completely disjointed events. Slow down instead of always trying to be first and seek to be RIGHT, not FIRST!
Note to Jim Hoft: Take a lesson from Sundance and even your brother Joe. Neither of them gets so far out in front of their skis that they cannot see where they need to land. Too many of your writers, yourself included, write headlines and stories which leave the reader scratching their head and thinking, did the headline writer and the storyteller ever meet?
If this article is correct, I feel for his parents. We need to TOTALLY eliminate the Department of, “Education”.
Yes!
“Defund College”.
Wait until you see the kids’ Halloween costumes. Mom is so sorry she can’t go trick or treating with them.
.
Something seems to me to be a little off about mommy’s bragging about the kid this way in such intrusive detail on FB.
.
It is now a national imperative.
Eliminate department of education now. Like right now!
It is a major, but, not the only, indoctrination center.
According to the latest info from Governor Cox “The governor gave more details on the messages that were reportedly engraved on the bullet casing. One read, “O’ Bella cia, bella ciao, bella ciaa ciao ciao,” which is a reference to an Italian folk song that Antifa uses in their propaganda”.
Not sure what our intelligence and law enforcement arms are doing or rather NOT doing to take this organization down. Mossad seems to be quite adept at infiltration.
I see “cia” five times in the quote.
Good catch! CIA-O
The internet is scarily instantaneous now
They NEVER act alone.
I’m confused. The killer confesses to his dad who is in law enforcement and it took how long to notify the FBI? The killers face was on every news network and yet the parents didn’t recognize their own son? The killers roommate didn’t recognize his face? I find that reprehensible if that is indeed the case.
He was identified AFTER the FBI released the pics. He was arrested last night, same day the pics were released.
… literally within a few hours.
The pics were out mid day yesterday but mostly on conservative outlets so someone that only watches ABCNNBCBS likely missed it until the leftstream media had to show them last night.
He confessed to his father, who is a sheriff’s deputy,.
A terrible moment for the parents… but, WHERE WERE THEY while their son was ‘developing’ this sort of character?
.
I’m curious. Did this 22-year-old alleged wonderkind drop out of school after only one semester, or are some news accounts wrong? If he did, what is “roommate”? Did he live at home? Was he working?
.
Hours. I don’t fault him. Do we know the father had his son in his presence? Better to talk him into turning himself in than having the shooter take us on a manhunt that might have lasted days or maybe he gets out of the country. Once the son confessed to the father, the father knew the game was over and the public was not at risk. We are not entitled to real-time information on these events, as much as we might like it.
The shooter is in custody and can be used to roll up accomplices. Dead men tell no tales, on the other hand.
I will not for one nano second believe that this scumbag acted alone
He definitely did not act alone! People seemed to know about this before it happened….
For one, in my option, is the bearded guy who stood up to cheer and look to exactly where the shooter was.
They are stupid and not “professionals” by any means.
It’ll be interesting if they are further arrests. Also, I assume under Utah law conspiring to commit premeditated murder is the same as pulling the trigger yourself.
If I were anyone else involved I’d be going to an attorney to get the best plea deal possible for flipping on the whole group, the first one wins!!
Yes, I agree. He also was with the guy who asked the questions as Charlie was shot.
.
That “Omar” twitter guy. Where is/ who is he?
.
We had better hear that he has been investigated!
Correct: All his Discord pals and the entire Utah public school system helped him.

He might be of such a weak mind that there were folks on the web encouraging him to do this, but they might not have believed he would. After all, the web is full of keyboard warriors who are all mouth, nothing else.
I saw a picture of his friends that he was talking to on the web.
Cue the undercover FBI guys in khaki shorts meme.
Am I being a naive about guns to think this kid doesn’t have the skill to fire off that shot? Could he have pulled this off?
Yes, with that type of firearm and scope, not much of a problem.
Thanks.
Women in boot camp shoot 500 yards.
Yes I agree, a 200 +/- meter shot with a scope and a rifle brace is relatively easy for someone who has some experience with shooting long rifles. The human as a target is the part that is difficult…bill
My question as a pro-gun, never fired a shot, person:
1. on a rooftop
2. 200yards away
3. Fires a shot over the heads of standing attendees
4. to hit Charlie, sitting in a chair and lower than the standing crowd
5. in the neck
This does not seem like an easy shot.
It really is not that difficult, I have shot at 200 yards so much it actually gets boring to constantly shoot small groups. 100 yards is just a ragged hole.
my QUESTION – Carrying the Rifle as SOME SAY, in His Pants Leg … Would bump the Scope OFF Bore-sight
i, SELFISHLY / INTELLECTUALLY Want to KNOW HOW, WHERE, WITH WHOM –
Did HE ASSASSINATE CHARLIE KIRK ?
Takes a pretty good whack to throw off a well mounted scope.
200 yds -Probably get close, Further…

just saying…
https://www.loaddevelopment.com/rifle-scope-ring-torque/
He probably went hunting with his dad. He knew how to fire a weapon and sight a target.
And he missed his target center mass
If he knew that Charlie wore body armor, a head shot would have been called for
Yes you are. A lot of people who practice regularly could have done it. Some “experts” are saying it was supposed to be a head shot but if you every go to the range, the slight drop can happen.
With a high powered scope and moderate training, yes, he could pull this off. And if reports are true that he hit Charlies vest and it ricochetted up to his neck, that means he was probably aiming dead center and it drifted.
Thin vest stop rifle rounds?
A decent ballistic vest could deflect a bullet on a glancing angle. A direct shot would more likely than not still penetrate without some sort of plates in it.
This has been put to rest by experts and hunters–he didn’t need to be an expert with that rifle at that range.
He confessed to his father.
If he’s a deer hunter (quite likely in Utah), YES.
There are plenty of earlier pics of him shooting guns that his mom posted.
i know it sounds wrapped up but im still asking about those hand signals and like the rest just seems to pat as they used to say.
I’d like to know if he’s social media friends with the douche that cheered, or the guy that asked the question…
‘too’ pat… lol
Nothing to see here, move along.
Yes, Oswald acted alone too
I seldom visit Facebook anymore but yesterday I saw a post that said, “If you met Trump in an elevator, what would you say to him?”
There were about 50 comments and I read them all. What I found may give us insight into the utter lack of civil discourse on the Woke Left:
The majority of the comments were pro-Trump and those comments were all respectful, with many speaking of their gratitude to the President and their love of America.
But in the anti-Trump comments I counted seven who said they would ‘barf’, ‘puke’ and ‘throw up’, either at the sight of Trump or on him. There were six comments talking about the ‘stench’, ‘horrible smell’, ‘stink’, coming from the elevator and using words like ‘ugh’, ‘gag’ and ‘gasp’, to describe how they would react to being near him. There was one ‘middle finger’, and descriptions of Trump ranging from ‘repulsive troll’ to ‘satanic thing’ and one who would tell Trump to ‘go straight to hell!’
This is the culture of the Left that turns honor students into a cold-blooded killers who believe murder is a legitimate response to those with a different point of view! It is a culture that excoriates anyone who disagrees with them by calling them fascists…and once you have the Scarlet Letter of Fascism sewn to your chest by the Woke Left, you can, and should, be murdered with impunity!
That radical point of view is not limited to college campuses, because my nearly 90 year old sister is among those with the ‘Trump is Hitler and all Republicans are Nazis’ mindset deeply etched in her psyche!
We get this anti-Trump rhetoric 24/7 in California, reported with zero caution or embarrassment.
What you noticed from the anti-Trump comments makes it clear that these are very emotional people.
Not logical. Emotional. Which explains a lot.
And here’s the thing: If that hypo had been posed prior to PDJT’s entry into politics, the answers likely would have been along the lines of, “Wow! Donald! How do I make a million???!”, and, “Man! You’re my idol!!!”, etc.
I was able to meet former President Clinton about a decade ago. I didn’t agree with his politics but it was still a privilege to talk to him for a few minutes.
There’s only been 45 different people to hold the office.
I’d do the same with Obama or Biden. On those two, I would want some time to talk with them and debate. That would be fun.
We can agree to disagree.
I can at the same time be fearful that their ideology advances further, but that is would public discourse and debate is all about.
Unfortunately, the left wing nut jobs don’t feel the same.
Yep.
I have former “friends” in their 80’s who spew such vile hatred.
Mao turned a lot of smart students into violent activists who sought out their college professors to beat and demean them into submission.
I am so sick and tired of these tag team press conferences where the mayor has to introduce the governor who has to introduce the chief of police and the chief of police has to introduce somebody’s boss, who introduces the FBI director, who turns it back to the person who knows something, who finally says something 10 minutes into the presser.
Kash Patel had NO business being there and making his little speech. The FBI did not catch the guy; his father and a minister turned him in. He just bloviated and said nothing significant.
And let’s get a memo out to all the police honchos: Take those damned stars off your uniforms. You are not general officers in WWII. Maybe one star to say you are the top turban. But four stars? Please.
I worked at the NIH when there was the tragic first death of a gene therapy research subject and I went to a public event where they discussed what happened and the FDA went through 4 or five layers of introductions before turning it over to some schlub who gave an account of what happened. Then the scientist in charge of the whole thing got up and delivered a rat-a-tat description of the whole thing without any fanfare. I thought it looked like the scientist was Andre the Giant fighting a tag team of midgets. The FDA eventually was shown to be right and the scientist disgraced, but the FDA made itself look hapless and incompetent.
Agree. It’s very Unprofessional.
“I am so sick and tired of these tag team press conferences where the mayor has to introduce the governor who has to introduce the chief of police and the chief of police has to introduce somebody’s boss, who introduces the FBI director, who turns it back to the person who knows something, who finally says something 10 minutes into the presser.”
Have to justify ‘the big bucks’.
Utah’s Governor made the best presentation. He was brief, to the point, and professional. Introducing the rest of them was unnecessary. Kash looked like a deer in the headlights, or is that his normal ‘look’? Respect for Utah’s Governor.
The technical term for what you described is “circle jerk.”

Now this incited useful idiot will either spend life in prison, or be put down like a rabid animal I mean communist.
It’s sad. Rabid is the right word. So many have been spreading this Marxist rabies and escaping the consequences. We were fools enough to let them go, so now let’s hope we weren’t fools enough to replay the 20th Century – like we see in front of us.
Hopefully, the second event.
JUST IN: The Charlie Kirk Show has gone live. Charlie’s seat at the table is there – and it’s empty.
An absolutely crushing scene. All of them are holding back tears.
“Charlie would’ve wanted us to be here. He would’ve been upset if we weren’t here. We’ve left his chair open and empty, because nobody could ever fill it.”
Awesome! Thanks, Just turned it on.
I want his head, literally on a pole. It’s time to demonstrate resolve that we will not tolerate this evil. Evil can smell weakness.
Yep.
He = those that puppeted him and ruined him just for being male and white in a location that couldn’t offset that mantra ( similar to mandates)
Another white liberal woman indoctrinate and victimize her own son hateful ideology?
State and DNC sponsored material does it 24/7
I don’t believe this one bit. Pressure was to name a patsy. Watch to see whether the charges stick; perhaps by then we’ll be swept up in another Deep State arranged horror. Start with the father.
Suspicious cat is probably taking a long look at this too. Or should be. A lot of very convenient things going on. Kind of a hodgepodge of recent assassination attempts rolled into one. It’s almost as if the public is being led by the nose to a conclusion the FBI wants drawn.
random thoughts…
22 year old male–engineering student with family photos, at least in the past, that appear to depict a functional family
I am going to guess he has probably never dated or rarely dated, and has no relationship with an actual girlfriend (lots of American males fall into this category, very dangerous when the society itself promotes sexual expression in any number of ways, promotes sexual promiscuity)
likely open to propaganda from post-secondary schooling ( I’ve heard this first hand from many students at even the community college level
also the age at which mental disturbances such as schizophrenia are exhibited in afflicted males
No doubt social media is a great influence on susceptible individuals
Based on what was coming out of the mouths of my nieces pre-Covid while they were middle-school / high-school aged, apparently they were open to propaganda back then, at least enough to parrot some nonsensical idea to me to see if I’d react and how “woke” I was, or whether they could trap me into saying something “offensive” and “cancel worthy.”
I did try to make their mother aware.
Women don’t want him
Society is trained to look down on his type
What was done to him is similar to pedophiliasm
For anyone looking for any kind of deeper or greater meaning in all this, as with previous assassination attempts, successful or unsuccessful, which seem to be determined, one way or the other, simply by ‘the luck of the draw’, there doesn’t seem to be any.
God wrests meaning from tragedy.
God doesn’t cause tragedy, but He never wastes suffering, if we are wise enough, and humble enough, to turn it over to Him.

@DogRightGirl
Ive been going back and watching videos of Charlie debating with students. This particular debate left me in awe. What an incredibly knowledgeable man.
Take a moment to witness and be inspired……

I’m not even Christian and I still find myself bookmarking all the clips of Charlie Kirk quoting the Bible! His knowledge of his scripture and it’s application to modern life is almost miraculous.
His knowledge and articulation are gifts from God. We have truly lost one of Gods chosen.
Watching the Charlie Kirk show at the moment.
They’ve put together fabulous vid clips.
The shooter – and those applauding him – could (nor can) never, ever amount to what this amazing man amounted to.
By the smug look on his face, he’s still convinced he did the right thing.
He did in his mind, as equal to Jesus flipping tables.
The root cause is the programming.

Give Send Go for Charlie’s wife and children and at her discretion TPusa.
Such a tragedy. Be safe.
I hope Turning Point USA creates an electronic library (by topic) of all of the video clips and writings of Charlie Kirk for today’s youth to access.
I have several questions that it would be nice if the FBI and media could answer. How did the shooter get the rifle from the roof to the woods where it was found? Video of him running across the roof and jumping off do not show him holding a rifle and if it was in the backpack that means he had to break it down. Video of the rooftop running took place at 12:23pm based on timestamp same time Charlie was shot. I know one can break down a rifle in under a minute if the rifle is capable of being broke down. This was supposedly a Mauser 30.06 hunting rifle—all I’ve seen like this have long wooden stocks the extend under the barrel. They wouldn’t fit into a back pack. Second question, why don’t they release the pictures of the rifle and exactly where and how it was when they found it? If it was broken down and put into a backpack, then you would think it would be found still broken down. Why would he take the time to put it back together if he is simply going to abandon it? Additionally, why abandon it if it is already in backpack and he is headed home off campus already?
ATT and Verizon and T-Mobile have all the info
So does the FBI.
What is shared will tell you everything.
He was carrying the rifle when he jumped off the roof. It is clear as day in the video….
He had the rifle concealed under his clothing which is why he was seen with a limp as he walked to the campus.
They did release a picture of the rifle and scope.
They revealed that they found the rifle in the woods where they had tracked him via video surveillance.
It was not broken down. He carried it wrapped in a towel.
It would seem that he planned to retrieve the weapon per the after chats he had with his room mate via the discord chat.
The photo of the rifle is in this article by the Telegraph:
https://archive.is/MZnmP
I read somewhere he had a hole cut in the bottom of his backpack. He may have had the gun in the backpack with part of it fed down his pants and pant leg when he was walking with that limp.
It looks like he has it in this video when he jumped off the building…
It was wrapped in a dark towel – some folks commenting here could see it in the video.
I cannot agree with your comment (@Observer SC); it is not clear as day to me. I have looked at the video that (@Troublemaker10) have provided and I do not see a rifle. If you look closely at the video the black cloth he is carrying fans out when he drops it on the roof then when he jumps to the ground and stands back up you can see the cloth swing back and forth in a curved motion. If it had an unbroken down rifle in it, that rifle would 41-44 inches long. It would not have remained hidden under the cloth and it clearly couldn’t have been under the cloth when he picked the cloth up and the cloth swung back and forth. Hanging directly down from his hand.
They (the FBI) didn’t “get him”.
He turned himself in. He gave up. While law enforcement was still staggering around, claiming turf wars.
Question none of the news-peeps are answering: is he gay?
It is possible he admitted what he did because the FBI put out all the information that identified him and he realized he was as good as caught.
Tyler is a gender neutral name.
Well, this is Blondie and Krash’s time to go to work to prove they are competent. I hate it happened this way, but they can’t get out from under this without some major results. “I’ve seen it and it’s on my desk” won’t work. They aren’t going to be able to stay under radar on this one. If they don’t go work every lead and accomplice, they will be proved frauds. Trump needs to also know we are watching and expect results. Wiley Suzie be damned.
I attribute it to a lack of a moral compass.
I attended Catholic school for 8 years and would not dream of murdering another human being or celebrating someone’s death.
Me too, never taught to hate.
This.
In the 4th grade, a super-strict nun once took a whole class to describe the horrors of Hell, and how to avoid going there.
I wrote a letter thanking her years later.
(And yes, she did have a good heart underneath her stern exterior.
She also took a whole class to teach us how to sing Christmas carols that actually dealt with the birth of Jesus.)
I wish we had more nuns. It has been years since I have seen them in the states, but, I did see them in Munich Germany two weeks ago. Thank G-d, the Faith is still strong in Bavaria.
We need nuns and priests.
People, have big families so you can spare a couple kids for the Faith.
I never attended catholic school and I would not dream of murdering another human being.
When the anti gay narrative comes, have Scott Bessent and Thiel step up
And Richard Grennel
It takes a switch to flip to get a kid like this, even one who has adopted in spirit, anyway, Antifa ideas. We have no evidence that he has ever participated in actual Antifa violence where he put his social standing, his family relationships, or his physical well being, in jeopardy.
Yet here he is, willing to do THIS, the ultimate.
It would mean that for him to plan and carry this out, he had to face the certainty that he’d be captured and never live free again, or live at all.
Usually a kid raised in a functioning house doesn’t get to the point that life is meaningless to him, unless mental illness has taken hold.
And be rewarded with the DNC removing PDJT and taking over.
??? Don’t know what you mean.
We have to stop thinking only from our view
You aren’t weak or stupid so you are resistant.

This is EVERYWHERE. All aeound you.
Visit any bar Street or downtown
Have we all been a part of the Treehouse and not know what SD always tells us? Antifa could not exist without the FBI/DS knowing about it…being part of it, funding it….we have watched this now for years…..I believe this kid was part of the growing army of them…they are ready to be activated at any time…all been radicalized and ready to detonate towards the necessary target. Today’s presser didn’t dissuade me of that
I recall during the summer of 2020 while Leftist urban violence was at its peak, that bastard Bill Barr pledged to “look into” the funding sources for Antifa, but her never got back to us on that . . . . Probably because he learned that they were being funded by the same source that issued his pay check.

{ President-elect of Oxford Union to face disciplinary proceedings for … } comments
On Thursday, Abaraonye said he had “reacted impulsively” to the news of Kirk’s shooting, and that the comments were “quickly deleted” after news emerged of his death.
“Those words did not reflect my values,” Abaraonye added. “Nobody deserves to be the victim of political violence … I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones.
“At the same time, my reaction was shaped by the context of Mr Kirk’s own rhetoric – words that often dismissed or mocked the suffering of others. He described the deaths of American children from school shootings as an acceptable ‘cost’ of protecting gun rights. He justified the killing of civilians in Gaza, including women and children, by blaming them collectively for Hamas. He called for the retraction of the Civil Rights Act, and repeatedly spread harmful stereotypes about LGBTQ and trans communities. These were horrific and dehumanising statements.”
Kirk and Abaraonye had met during a debate on toxic masculinity held by the Oxford Union in May, the Telegraph reported.
One other note:
On the Breitbart website, a reader posted this:
“Don’t put Charlie ahead of Joan of Arc or Nathan Hale or the countless slaves who were beaten to death for trying to escape their slavery.
Or ahead of our men who burned alive on the USS Arizona or were tortured to death in the Philippines by the Ja ps. President Trump should have the Nippon memorial in the Aleutians broken down and turned into shrapnel for our nation’s fragmentation bombs.
Or all the martyrs of the Early Church …. or the Orthodox Copts in Egypt or the Catholic villagers of Iboland, Nigeria who are under repeated attack by jihadists.
Or Abraham Lincoln or JFK, who knew people were out to get them yet still did their jobs.
While it is sad and deeply disturbing that some little XXXXX murdered Charlie, exaggerating his life and sacrifice does not make us better.
With the exception of Lincoln and Kennedy, all the above suffered a lot more anguish in dying … and in anticipating their horrible deaths.
Charlie would understand the parable of taking the lowest place at the table, and then waiting to be asked to come up higher.
So should we.
Honor Charlie. Fight harder to smash the enemies of the people of America. But don’t minimize the sacrifices those who suffered more and were paid less. The people who I mentioned above, not counting JFK, lived at a lot lower level than Charlie did before he was murdered.”
I have to agree with the guy.
And I’ll take any incoming fire for doing so, and posting the sentiment here.
Let’s respond with cold anger, not histrionics.
Charlie did a lot of good. But a lot of people suffered far more horribly for what we hold dear. Let’s honor all of them — those whose names we know and those who are known only to God and their loved ones.
Blessings to all of you.
K.
I’m sure Charlie Kirk and his family suffered a lot more with constant death threats.
Many in the public eye deal with swatting events and threats constantly.
I may have missed it, but I never heard CK claim victimhood because of those things. Just because they weren’t mention, doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. And I don’t think people are “exaggerating his life and sacrifice”.
Just my 2 cents………..
The photo where you can see the faces of Charlie Kirk and his wife while both parents make sure to hide the faces of their children to protect their privacy for safety reasons comes to mind.
Talk about not reading the moment…
It ain’t my job to “read the moment.”
It’s my job to tell the truth, and help people stay on track.
That’s what responsible adults do.
As an Army officer, I despised most of my superiors because they compared unfavorably as men to my Dad and uncles, who were veterans of WWII and Korea. The only thing bigger about the goofs in my chain of command was their egos. Like pitchers who can barely go five innings in a game, and then think they are Bob Gibson or Nolan Ryan.
(In 1993, relief pitcher Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams got 9 wins in a month because of the hitting of his teammates. Sportswriters ballyhoed this and compared him to Grover Alexander, who likewise won 9 games without a loss in a month during 1920. Grover pitched 74 innings, completing 8 games with an ERA of 1.22, and had a below-average lineup behind him. Alex, who was an epileptic who was wounded by German artillery fire and poison gas attacks during WWI, would win 27 games that year and achieve an ERA under 2 for a Cubs team that had a losing record. Mitch pitched 9 innings to get those 9 wins and had a good hitting pennant-winning lineup behind him.)
Yeah, my career suffered because of my attitude, but my character remained intact. I left the officer corps after several years and told them to contact me when they were actually serious about destroying our enemies instead of being policemen and social workers to countries whose people hated us.
Sure, there is a lot of grief for Charlie Kirk. He was loved and respected by many. I’m glad he tried to engage young people and get them to think. It was a worthy work.
As a murder victim he deserves grief, and his widow and children deserve sympathy and help.
But exaggerating Charlie’s place in history or his sacrifices makes our good people sound hysterical and overwrought. And it minimizes others who are even more deserving of our respect. No slight to Charlie, but this is true. He would agree with me.
One of my favorite ballplayers was former Marine Rick Monday. I got to talk with him before ball games and he was a cheerful Dodger-insulting riot when he played centerfield for the Cubs. Was he as good a player as Willie Davis, the Dodgers’ centerfielder? No. But Rick didn’t seek accolades for himself. He played hard, needled opposing players to take them off their games, and helped A’s and Dodger teams win pennants when he was on their rosters. He hustled but was average for a centerfielder defensively and he was a good but not great or even very good hitter. I knew Rick’s limitations but liked him anyway. Rick was good in the clutch. And when, as a Cub in 1976, he took an American flag away from 2 pissants trying to burn it, I couldn’t have been prouder of him. I was in uniform at the time myself. Rick knew his place, and thrived in it. He didn’t try to claim more than what was his.
Every one of the martyrs mentioned in that guy’s post except John Kennedy had significantly harder lives and far more painful deaths than Charlie had. That is the objective truth.
Will Charlie be remembered decades from now like the martyrs of the early Church? Or Joan of Arc? Or Nathan Hale? Or Honest Abe? Or the men of the USS Arizona? Or those who endured the Death March of Bataan?
That’s why God gave us judgment as well as emotions.
People in your state “read the moment” in 1861 and started the Civil War.
It didn’t end well for them.
One of my collateral ancestors, as a soldier in the Army of the Tennessee, under the ultimate command of General WT Sherman, would help correct those people’s lapses in judgment.
The face of Palmetto State politicians now is Miss Lindsay, entitled Nancy Mace, and cheater Sticky Nikki Haley. Of course, with the hopeful exception of JD Vance, the politicians here in Ohio are nothing to write home about either. Mike DeWine’s Haitian pals did add some diversity to our cuisine recently. In the same way that the migration of people from Southeast Asia led to an uptick in the disappearance of large dogs in Southern California in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Yesterday, on Fox news, one of the “personalities” said that Charlie Kirk was a Great Patriot, maybe well the Greatest Patriot in American History.
I suppose we should start taking down statues of George Washington and replace them with those of Charlie Kirk.
Frankly, I think Charlie would be embarrassed about all this.
In getting the rifle from a drop point – that does mean there were others involved in planning and carrying out the assassination.
Has there been any remarks by the law enforcement if any of those others have been arrested yet?
Wondering if the dad of the murderer was negotiating that his son not get the death penalty and is why it took so long for the killer to be brought in?
Isn’t Discord the online app that the terrorist group Antifa and that gay cult group that the Catholic school shooter was a member of that like to have messages on their ammunition?
Is that online app under investigation as a tool of terrorists?
None of those questions were even asked at that ‘press conference’ – do reporters even dare have questions not scripted for events such as this backslapping self congratulation victory lap party billed as a press conference?
I am sick of listening to public servants brag about what a great job they did, and how sleep-deprived they are.
That is your job.
You are employed for 20-25 years, then live on the dole in retirement for 30+ years, with gold-plated benefits. Don’t tell me how tough you have it.
FBI Director Patel acts like the FBI caught Robinson. Nonsense. Robinson was confronted by his father, a deputy sheriff, and confessed. The father took his own son into custody. The FBI had nothing to do with “the capture.”
We’ve seen this time and again.
Yes.
We saw it during the Pacific Palisades fire in Southern California early in the year. All of the different government officials patting each other on the back about what a great job they are doing. Yeah, great job. Reservoir empty. No water for the fire hoses. Brush uncleared. LA Mayor Karen Bass in Africa on pleasure trip, even though she had advance notice of extreme fire hazard.
Update: new report is that the father of Tyler Robinson is NOT affiliated in any way with the Sheriff’s Department.
As President Trump says: we shall see. Definitely the 24-hour rules applies.
For anyone who may be interested – Tom MacDonald has a song out in support of Charlie Kirk – “Charlie” – It’s on spotify, apple music and other platforms.
Use this phrase when your right to a narrative is attacked. You have a right to speak at this time
Words are words.. violence is violence.
