And it occurred to me that he had serious concerns for safety. And he did it anyway.

Just viewing the photo of the plane departure of J.D, but especially the hand holding of Usha and Charlie’s wife left me immediately thinking that all of this seems to be morphing in a weird direction.

If you view the video of the group’s arrival, you’ll notice that Mrs. Kirk reached first by putting her arm around Mrs. Vance right as they disembarked AF2 at the top of the stairs. Mrs. Vance picked up on that cue and took Mrs. Kirk’s hand to help her descend the stairs.

I didn’t know freedom of speech meant people can take over a column paying tribute to Charlie Kirk and start a separate discussion on translations and meanings of passages in the Bible?
While the two subjects seem to be disconnected, it is a known fact that Charlie Kirk was a man deeply devoted to his personal savior, Jesus Christ. Charlie still is.
Those of us left behind to keep the conversation about salvation from disappearing because of lack of interest or understanding, are proud to make a point of keeping the focus on the one whose murder and resurrection defines the destiny of humanity.
I believe Charlie is proud to be part of the conversation. He just proved that freedom of speech comes at a precious cost. It behooves us to expend our efforts to expand it, not to stifle it from discontent at the subject matter.

Thanks for posting this. Charlie was a warrior who was doing his best to give an ear to anyone in whatever generation to people confused about so MANY THINGS. lf I were in my teens and 20’s today, it sure would have helped me to ask Charlie Kirk a question .
That’s is my greatest sorrow about Charlie Kirk passing. He was HELPING the next generation come to grips with whatever issue they were confronting in their lives. A MENTOR for the next generation.
I had a sister who stood in that role for me. She died in 1983 at the age of 33 from cancer caused by asbestos. My brother-in-law finally came to the conclusion from different sources that her polio vaccine was run through an asbestos filter.
I have no idea what my life would have come to without her. Her death inspired me in ways I even now still learning to comprehend.
This shooter just made a Martyr out of Charlie Kirk. Unintended Consequences will ensue. I think in a really good way. RIP Charlie.
