I cannot watch that or any other clip from Charlie just yet; the pain of both his loss and the motive of the murderer is too sharp.

Respectfully, no. The loss is even greater now for the thoughts that will never be expressed. His gift for articulating complex ideas, explaining them in a way that anyone could readily understand, cannot be replaced. Not to mention one felt somehow more intelligent simply by listening to him speak. That was part of his gift – he didn’t make people feel stupid for what they didn’t know, he made them feel smart for understanding him. There was no arrogance, no condescension. He spoke with people as equals.

Charlie Kirk was a modern day John the Baptist – who will follow? Millions and millions I pray. Combination of rock-solid salvation and rock-ribbed conservatism in civic life. God created government so man could live peaceably in this world.
Charlie Kirk was an exceptionally articulate thinker and a deeper thinker than most constitutional academics and philosophers. He was truly a gift from God.
And he thus was such an embarrassment to modern academia, which he eschewed to forge his own path. Consider the “students” protesting the Kirk appearance: Coddled in safe spaces fortified with binkies and warm milk, they then encounter someone (Kirk) who said to hell with that, and their resulting shame and embarrassment evokes their impotent rage.
Charlie was but a child when Christopher Hitchens died. With the modern university having been long down the path of anti-enlightenment and closed-mindedness, I suspect that Hitchens might have regarded yesterday events as modern university’s capstone act.
I had never heard of Utah Valley University prior to yesterday. It should close its doors.

My son started at the University of Maine in 2011 after graduating from a private school that already had a head start on political indoctrination. He lasted two years and could take it no more so he left and started taking classes from home. The left at that time owned education and very little has changed since. He was kind, likeable, able to debate with really good understanding and could articulate his points without being bombastic or rude. The kids who were able to use reason and logic were being reached for good. I too had not followed the discussions of Charlie Kirk. I thought he was just another Ben Shapiro schtick of blowing away his intellectually feeble target to get likes. Or the “Change My Mind” Steven Crowder.
As he is speaking I was blown away by the depth and structure of his reply to the question of how to respond someone declaring that our country was not founded on Christian principles.
Then I thought of his youth, intellect, and charisma and became embarrassed that I was unaware. Perhaps there are millions of people hearing his message today and his voice may carry even further.
I listened to him daily. He was truly inspiring.

Literally, in my humble opinion, Charlie Kirk was anointed by God. First and foremost was His extremely close love of the Lord and His close walk with Him as is displayed by his absolute knowledge and understanding of God’s Word. There is head knowledge and heart knowledge of God’s Word. Charlie Kirk had both. He didn’t need college. It would have taken him off his God-chosen purposed life journey. He never strayed from God as his personal teacher.
God gave Charlie Kirk a multiple purpose life-journey: relationship with Him first, then used for God’s glory to reach young people for Christ in politics to course correct the USA to make in great again to its original faith-based founding.
President Trump understood this. Carefully listen to his recorded tribute again. He referenced his deep, deep faith and his mission to bring young people into politics and said he did it better than anybody, EVER.
There are some politicians who we might like, but they come and go, but there was only one truly anointed and raised up by God to stand on his faith in the Lord and combine it with the country founded on faith and veered from that course. It was Charlie Kirk. I can unequivocally state that this is true because of his very strong confidence in debating which was not based on what he could do or his talents but on what God did through him and the talents He gifted to Charlie and Charlie knew this; hence his humility.
His life’s mission was to the glory of God; that’s why he was highly successful in reaching young people in a faith-based political endeavor. It was not his head knowledge, although God gave him great wisdom and understanding, it was his heart changing faith. He knew it was God working through him.
In a godless population his message had to be stopped. Had Charlie Kirk been faced with stopping his message to survive, no one of that deep walk with the Lord could have or would have stopped. Christ’s apostles died horrendous deaths, except for John. The enemy is rejecting God. Anyone having the impact Charlie had to be destroyed, not because of his faith, because they don’t recognize faith as meaningful, but because of his HUGE impact in politics, which they could not allow to continue.
I know it’s a leap for many to connect these dots, but it isn’t for me as I volunteer in a worldwide intensive Bible study ministry. Charlie Kirk was just as anointed in his God chosen mission as the apostles, and no matter their or his violent death, the gospel spread worldwide and Charlie Kirk’s mission will get louder and louder, as President Trump said in his tribute. President Trump grasp this, which is why he is greatly grieving his passing also. Listen to it, again.
Charlie Kirk is not replaceable, but God will continue his life’s work because He purposed it. Others will continue his mission, but the loss of his life will be greatly grieved.
