A very interesting response from President Trump against the U.S. President stepping back and awaiting Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin to organize their teams and schedule a bilateral discussion.
President Trump has said he expects the diplomatic teams of Zelenskyy and Putin to coordinate a face-to-face meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy in the next two weeks.
As noted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, sometimes it just takes putting the principals into the same room to break the logjam. However, both regimes have entrenched ideologues who are positioning for maximum leverage.
President Trump is asked what he will do if Zelenskyy and Putin cannot or do not organize a meeting. WATCH:
For the first time President Trump indicates he’s willing to take a full retreat position from the effort, “or do we do nothing, and say it’s your fight.” Doing nothing seems to indicate the U.S. withdraws all support and lets them fight to the point of defeat or surrender. Doing nothing is actually doing something quite remarkable.
In the background of all of this, DNI Tulsi Gabbard has issued a directive telling all of the intelligence agencies all information regarding the Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations is not to be shared with U.S.-allied intelligence partners.

In terms of negotiation and narrative warfare, Trump just protected MAGA-US interests from vulnerability to triangulation: triangulation from both Russia and Ukraine to leverage US interests to favor each’s specific treaty goals, and triangulation by deep state/EU interests to damage Trump through the negotiation process.
I’m interested to hear more about Putin’s unique negotiating task. How does he negotiate with one man who is representing the interests of Ukraine and its corruptocrats and the CIA and Five Eyes and the EU? (…and who knows whose global banking and real estate interests?)
Another good reason for Trump to vacate the room and leave the consequences entirely to the principals. I even wonder if–by its recent news releases–Trump’s team has effectively given Putin permission to “speak with candor” about all the entities and interests at work behind the Zelenskii “beard?”

Interviews with Russians – all the way to the front-line veterans – the rational viewer quickly understands THEY see everything. No one is too clever to avoid them seeing. They seem to be highly realistic and pragmatic in their observations and conclusions.
Russia does not see the war as a war between Russia and Ukraine alone, but with Europe (NATO) and the US. They want a comprehensive peace agreement with all involved. President Trump seems to see it as only a war between Russia and Ukraine. The Russians are diplomats; the West does not seem to have them. Russia listens to what is said in the West and responds. The West does not listen to the Russians, they just ignore them. We seem to be in a new cold war and a costly (nuclear) arms race. By the way: NATO = USA. If it’s not, something went wrong.

And: Its striking that Trump only just now states the simple means of ending the Ukraine conflict that he has had in his hand since January 20: “Do nothing” (end military support for Ukraine).
He campaigned on immediately ending the war, remember? It was a credible promise because all he has to do is cease all military support and it ends immediately.
So why hasn’t he done it? The question leads us back to the mechanisms sinking the US axis including war: Depleting US weapons much faster than they can be replenished, providing Russia (and China) deep insights into US weapon systems and tactics, adding to the sovereign debt, and staging for a pivot to authoritarianism leading to totalitarianism if major war is triggered.
All of which implies that Trump is on board with a longer-term Plan sinking the US axis, which means he is not what you think.

President Trump told Putin that he’s “not happy about” a Russian strike on Ukraine that hit an American factory. This obviously not a stray attack was an attack with around 600 drones and 40 missiles.

My belief is that zelensky won’t ever agree since if there’s an end to the war he will have to have elections are he will lose. He also came out demanding $90Billion from the US to continue his money laundering scam. This goes to the US politicians who are in on the scam.

Zelenskyy can’t make the deal that’s offered and it’s not going to get any better. The radical Nazis will kill him immediately if he even hints at accepting reality. The Ukraine isn’t to the point that Russia’s terms are acceptable. The Ukraine will have to completely collapse before Ukraine will talk peace on Russia’s terms. At that point Russia will demand unconditional surrender. It’s all bad for Ukraine since the failed offensive towards Mariupol in ‘23.

I found this front-line interview with an Ahkmat commander below so revealing. Within it he details the inarguable reality from what is likely the perspective of Russians and their allies. The level and the depth of understanding against whom Russians are fighting is eye-opening.

The art of bargaining is not always understood by everyone because what is said behind closed doors can influence the outcome and WE don’t know how Trump is pressuring both sides. BOTH the players have some real problems in this war. Putin… well how did that one month takeover go? Ukraine… well how did trying to leverage the possibility of joining NATO go?

For Russia this means that, if there is no deal, they only face one form of warfare from the U.S.: Trump’s very effective form of economic warfare, taxing Russia’s oil exports through heavy tariffs on the countries that buy Russian oil.
They will no longer face the hot proxy war of choice that Biden (actually Obama) forced Ukraine to take up when they forbade Zelensky to sign the peace agreement with Russia that he was about to sign in early 2022.
We will no longer be continuing “Biden’s war,” and that is the dangerous one, the one that toys with nuclear escalation.
