According to CBS, President Trump is freezing out the CIA in advance of the meeting between himself and Vladimir Putin in Alaska next Friday. The general auspices are that President Trump has instructed his intelligence team not to discuss the details of the meeting with the 5-eyes countries (U.K, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. CIA); however, the coded message is smartly for the administration to be careful with the CIA.
From this proactive move, we can infer that at least a few people around Trump (Witkoff, Rubio) understand how the USIC will work to throw a wrench in any geopolitical reset. As the former Chair of the SSCI, Rubio holds a great deal of value in negotiating this issue.
The friction point becomes clear when you listen to Ukrainian MP Yehor Cherniev criticize a proposal to exchange Ukrainian territory that is currently occupied by Russian forces. WATCH:

Moscow said it would “further analyze” the corridor clause, noting existing trilateral agreements between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan remain in effect. “It should not be ignored that Armenia’s border with Iran is guarded by Russian border guards,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
Russia, which has a military base in Armenia, did not intervene in the most recent round of fighting, a decision that has strained its historically close ties with Yerevan. Armenia has increasingly moved toward the West since Moscow launched its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

Azerbaijan and Ukraine condemn Russian airstrikes on Azerbaijani energy facilities in Odesa, stressing confidence that the attacks will not hinder their energy cooperation
That part of the world is so complicated… I mean, seriously. More complicated than the Middle East? Probably… and by a lot.
One of the most striking developments is Armenia’s pivot away from Moscow.
Russia still has troops in Armenia which clearly displeases the Pashinyan government.
For over three decades, Armenia depended heavily on Russian military and economic support.
Under Prime Minister Pashinyan, who came to power in May 2018, the country has begun to turn westward, seeking closer ties with the European Union and the United States.
While this has made Yerevan a target of the Kremlin, it has also opened the door to greater national self-government.
At the same time, Azerbaijan – backed by Türkiye and Israel, and increasingly confident – has begun to challenge Russia’s influence more directly.
Baku, like Yerevan, desires to completely free itself from the Kremlin’s influence.
This dual shift is shaking the foundations of Russia’s dominance in the South Caucasus.
If all three South Caucasus nations – Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia – manage to break away from Moscow’s orbit, the path toward lasting peace and cooperation among all the three nations becomes much more realistic.
_____
For the past few weeks, the once-close relationship between Russia and its strategic partner, Azerbaijan, a republic in the South Caucasus, has entered a period of deep crisis.
Uhhh… Azerbaijan has a Caspian Sea coastline not a Black Sea one and Odessa is considered to be a main grain/general cargo port not an energy port.
Trump and Putin will figure it out with God’s mighty assist!! These two leaders have strong control of their countries and they will prevail in ending this bloodbath. We all need to continue to pray and offer sacrifices of our suffering, fasting for God to hear our prayers. Prayer and sacrifices are our weapons and they are mighty ones.
Our God is a God of truth, justice, and love and we can be sure He wants this killing to end.
trump and God will take care of putin.
The closest analogy this war was the Winter War. The Soviets were overconfident and had huge setbacks initially by the Finns. Unfyboth the Finns and Ukrainians developed victory disease, and should have sued for peace while they had some cards. Unfortunately the Ukrainians were Biden’s and the EUROPEANS cats paw and like the Winter War , once the Russians had the upper hand they didn’t need to settle.
i have an idea that trump needs to talk to the russian people about world war two. usa sent over 250000 two and a half ton dodge and studebaker trucks to russia. 1800 locomotives. 18000 motorcyles,. liberty ships. 14000 aircraft. bombers, fighters and transports. food too i would imagine. the generation in russia now should be reminded of this. maybe it would make a dent.
Yes, we sent war material and Russians died by the tens of millions. Russians know this very well.
and stalin signed a pact with hitler. have a nice day.
Maybe if the Western Allies had actually been serious about opposing Hitler he wouldn’t have had to. Real politik can be a bitch. Have a nice day.
Russians don’t know about the Lend-Lease Act. They are told that mother russia defeated the nazis single-handedly. They were also told that the United States dropped nuclear weapons on Japan to test them.
A) what would you call fighting 75% of Nazi Germanys armed forces while losing 25 million people?
B) while I believe that the decision to drop the A bomb was dropped to save tens of thousands of American lives, Im not naive
Enough to believe that they didn’t want to drop it to see if it lived up to the hype.
We gave east Prussia and Poland to Russia. Because they occupied that Allied country.
“War is organized theft” as noted by Polish mathematician and historian Prof. J. Bronowski.
This meeting in Alaska will produce necessarily tough outcomes… or nothing. There will be no “everyone is happy” solution. And there will always be corporate elites lurking with sabotage plans to favor their agenda.
russians only know and believe propaganda.
Same can be said for Americans.
Ball of confusion. The temptations. Solution? Accept Christ.
And maybe the Russians/Then Soviets will talk to Trump about the number of people they lost in WWII? Kind of a non-sense approach, yes.
Those numbers dead? Anywhere between 26 and 45 million.
How many oof his own did staliin kill? Reminds me of. The American getting a tour of hell. The devil shows him three cauldrons. The first is where we put the French. It is tinged with demons with fork spears shoving. Them back I’m as they try to get out. The second ,the devil says, is where we put the Brits. Same scene. The third is fire hot and boiling. Satan says that’s where we put the Russians. No demons . When one trys to crawl out the others drag him back on.
Back in.
How in the world can cash cow Ukraine really expect Russia to give up territory that they secured with Russian soldiers blood ? Ukraine is such a POS country so full of itself. The little dictator Zelensky will have to agree to whatever President Trump tells him to agree too or Russia will take over all of Ukraine.
Because the last two US presidents have given weapons, money, and intelligence to the Ukrainians. Why wouldn’t they think it won’t continue.
Here come the blood thirsty WWIII trolls.
Zelensky has one choice. Go along with President’s Trump deal or fight on against Russia without anymore U.S. assistance. Meaning Russia will overrun the entire country eventually. The EU isn’t strong enough to stop it and they certainly aren’t going to send ground troops and be active participants.
There needs to be a negotiated settlement and both Ukraine and Russia will have to compromise. That means Ukraine will cede some eastern territory.
In this discussion Ukraine is the subordinate party and don’t get a seat at thr table. The US is the principal. Ukraine will live with the outcome. And all that Pres. Trump needs to insist on is new elections in Ukraine. Z is out of business
MAGA. Pass the Cheetos and Winnamins!
👊👊🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🍿🍿🍿🍿
I’m finding that many Ukrainians are unlikeable. I’m sick of them and their phony country.
Just looking past Ukraine, is Poland next?
Rubio is an IC puppet. He’ll keep CIA briefed on everything Trump is doing.
Well “our people” in the Donbas region, who speak Russian, were actually attacked by Ukrainians. That was the original justification for Putin to come in and protect the people against attacks from the Ukrainian Azov battalion. (i.e. the Nazis). So to say it makes no sense that we would give up the territory of “our” people-who are you considering your people, you mean the ones you attacked because they wanted to speak Russian?
Also, the territory Russia has by dint of war, Russia has won, with tragic loss of life. Ukraine LOST this territory. In war, when you lose territory, you don’t get to insist that you should keep it anyway!
At some point the Ukrainian people are going to have to face that they lost the war. Now the responsibility is also on NATO, the UK, and France for telling Ukraine that they would always be backed, as long as they wanted to fight.
If indeed this is the direction NATO wants to go in, maybe the US should end our participation. Because Europe cannot afford their own defense. If the US walks away, they won’t be able to afford their own defense.
Perhaps Trump has already made that clear: that the war is over, and if the UK and France or the EU wants to fund the war in Ukraine to continue, the US is out and they are on their own.
Everyone is talking about land. Land wasn’t the reason for the war and isn’t now. Russia is fighting for no NATO/Western military in Ukraine and the end of the Nazi regime in Ukraine that targets ethnic Russians in the same way that German Nazis targeted Jews. The Soviet Union’s collapse left a mess in Ukraine. Soviets had put a bunch of Russia , Poland , and Hungary into the Ukraine. Actual Ukraine is a long thin strip of borderlands between the empires. Ukraine needs to be broken up with the traditional borders returned. The war has moved to Russia taking back what is Russian. Peace is breaking up the Ukraine and suppressing the Nazis in the Ukraine. I see anything like that being proposed. Russia will hopefully press on and do the job for lasting peace and stability.
