On Sunday President Trump remarked that emissary Steve Witkoff was likely to travel to Russia this week, presumably at the request of Kremlin officials. Earlier President Trump shortened the deadline for Russia to come to the negotiating table from 50 days to 10-12 days. The preferred timeline by President Trump ends this Friday.
(AP) – Vladimir Putin is open to meeting Volodymyr Zelensky for talks following “preparatory work at the expert level,” the Kremlin has announced, according to the state-owned RT television station.
“I would like to remind you that the president himself does not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting,” Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman said. “But only after the necessary work is done at the expert level and the appropriate distance is overcome.”
He said that the “preparatory work” had not yet been done. Putin has previously rejected several attempts by Zelensky to meet for talks over ending the Ukraine war.
Peskov also did not rule out a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Putin later this week, the state run TASS news agency reported.
[…] Witkoff is expected to land in the Russian capital on Wednesday or Thursday, according to Trump, following his trip to Israel and Gaza.
“They would like to see (Witkoff),” Trump said Sunday of the Russians. “They’ve asked that he meet so we’ll see what happens.”
Peskov said Monday: “We are always glad to see Mr. Witkoff in Moscow. “We consider (talks with Witkoff) important, substantive and very useful.” (more)
Is this a Putin delay strategy?
U.S. trade talks with India collapsed and simultaneously the Modi government refused to distance themselves from Russia.
BRICS+ represented by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa + Egypt and Iran, seem to be standing firm on the nature of their economic bloc, which -I might add- only got stronger when the Biden sanctions against Russia were put into place.
Even President Trump seemed to indicate Sunday the “sanctions threat” doesn’t really hold a lot of influence when it comes to Russia. A secondary sanctions regime against countries that align to purchase Russian energy products could end up backfiring.

Secondly sanctions of 100% or 200% could send oil prices and inflation through the roof.
General Christopher Donahue, Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, made comments threatening Kaliningrad thar also aren’t helpful.
Donahue stated that NATO forces could “take down” Kaliningrad from the ground faster than ever before.
The world is being led by stupid people dangling from puppet strings.
stupid or evil?
my $ is on the later
both is certainly possible, but the predominate characteristic, i propose, is they mean everyone but themselves nothing but harm
No reason it can’t be both.
Reminds one of those Bay of Pigs defense guys – the McNamara group.
Who is pulling the strings?
The Money.
everyone knows it’s…
‘those that cannot be named’
So let’s name them. I don’t know who all of them are, but the people pulling the strings all have very big money. Bill Gates, George Soros, whoever is running the Rockefeller Foundation, Larry Fink for starters. There are obviously many more.
Look through the roster of WEF members and pick out the real big money people. These are the people who are destroying western civilization so that they themselves might take over. Everything that we call the Deep State and the Globalist cabal are these people.
They have names and addresses just like we all do – but these people are evil and have the means to put their evil into practice – and they do. They want all of us proles and useless eaters dead. We are in the way of their big plans to take over the globe with a one-world government that they themselves will control.
As an example, I remember Klaus Schwab making a statement along the lines of, “Elections will be obsolete, because with technology, we can see who will win every election, making voting unnecessary.”
Until free people in this world annihilate these monsters, our liberty will always be under threat by them.
They will never be “annihilated “. Others will take their place because ultimately they are tools of Satan.
They think they are kings and queens and they want that old society back with us serfs at the bottom.
It always has been.
It’s just we see through the illusions now.
USA first ends all debate.
Well it’s a good thing for Donahue that NATO is a defensive alliance and would never start a war like that.
I wonder how many hazel nut trees would fall on Nato bases after an attack like that?
Note that Donahue was the US Army General who was the “last boots on the ground” in Afghanistan negotiating our retreat with the Taliban as the US pulled up stakes, abandoned allies, handed over billions of dollars worth of equipment and slinked away.
(Reportedly Donahue denied former Afghan translators and their families seats on one of the last evac aircraft so he could make space for some war souvenirs he wanted to bring back to Fort Bragg.) https://redstate.com/jenvanlaar/2021/10/03/exclusive-maj-gen-ordered-50-evacuees-off-one-of-last-flights-out-of-kabul-to-make-room-for-taliban-souvenir-n451105
He was a useful tool of the Biden administration to carry off the greatest embarrassment of the US Military of the last 50 years. That was why the Biden administration rewarded him with a 4th star and the plum assignment as commander of Europe.
Donahue is still working for the Biden cause to antagonize the hated Russia-Russia-Russians.
The new general
In charge who took over recently – I posted this last night.
Shoukd sack Donahue
Donahue lacks a moral compass to prioritize Afghan junk over people.
Again, I ask, WTF is the President’s team doing letting these 3 and 4 star flag officers remain on active duty? Each and everyone of them should be told to submit their resignation or retirement letters. None of these folks are indispensable. NONE. The military bench is deep. Use it. Dammit!
It is said Donahue wasn’t responsible for Abby Gate, not sure I believe that. Here nor there he should have never gotten promoted. And yeah, he is up to his eyeballs in the Ukraine mess. He is Joey’s boy.
Someone in the military twice denied a soldier on his trigger looking thru his scope at the ready to take out the scum who blew up all 13 to bits plus the 30+ we still know nothing about.
Those in the chain who denied the removal of the terrorist (ALL of them) should be stripped and prosecuted to the fullest extent.
He should be run thru the military justice system if they had any balls
delete
Yes Chris, everyone has a plan until they get smashed in the face…
Shades of Ashley Wilkes…
Not going to happen, the 100% to 200% sanctions that is.
So are you a Perot conservative, have you stolen the identity of a real Perot conservative, or has Perot Conservative always been a Russian toady?
Very interesting.
Kaliningrad is Russia. Any attack on it will trigger nuclear war.
Königsberg is Prussian.
IIRC, Hitler stated that the Wermacht could “take down” Leningrad, too.
Donahue is obviously a fool.
Putin is in a tough position because the deep state undermines the peace Trump is trying to achieve.
WE are in a tough position too. Not knowing about the drones that struck Russian bombers is not an excuse.
C’mon
You know who is responsible for them Drones.
Clowns
In
Action
That’s a given, before any other considerations; nothing shocking about that reality.
Trump is in an even tougher position because the deep state is constantly undermining the peace he is trying to achieve.
Hard to win when your own home team is covertly fighting against you.
Why doesn’t Trump assert control over what, theoretically, is his own government?
Yep, exactly what I’ve been saying. These ultimatums are pointless. We have basically ZERO negotiating leverage over Russia.
If Trump wants to do real damage to India, the leverage he has isn’t tariffs. It’s VISAs.
Mexico probably isn’t the only country benefitting from remittances sent back from the USA. Plus all the anchor-families that get over here from India.
The best answer, and the answer I’ve been saying for almost a year now about Russia is
Russia doesn’t have anything to negotiate. It will slowly continue to grind down Ukraine’s military capability. The only way to stop that is for the US to get directly, militarily, involved in Ukraine. (as opposed to sending mercenaries and planning all their ops which is what we’re doing today) Trump has no support base at home for an escalation of the war.
The domestic support for War in Ukraine and War with Russia consists of Beltway politicians, paid media supporters, and the MIC weapons sellers. That’s it. And that ridiculous group of people is about 0.001% of the US population.
“force elections in Ukraine”
And just who/what country is going to do this and how?
You’re calling for Foreign intervention in another country’s election?
Where have I heard this discussed before?
That’s just 1 item of interest.
“You’re calling for Foreign intervention in another country’s election?”
LULZ… who’s gonna tell her?
What’s lulz?
Laughing. Similar to LOL
except a LOT of it. 😉
Good to know that I brought a smile to your otherwise ugly puss. 🙂
LULZ!
Neo-cons are still active.
Why, yes they are, indeed!
The CIC is still very active also.
UK….has been busy.
Appears they have been “grooming ” General Zaluzhnyi…
…Banderite.. for Ukraine next President.
His recent Vogue interviews and photo shoot is
the most recent indicator. 🤷♀️
HA ! excellent idea, perhaps offering help from the CIA and/or Brits?
Very actionable and proactive. It really is the offence and Trump has chosen the defensive position.
Trump Admin just announced at year-long pilot program for bonds to be posted at $15K per Visa. High risk visitors.
Stop the H1Bs for India and you will put some pressure on them. Stop the customer service etc from India too. Lets put Americans back to work.
“Stop the customer service etc from India ”
The high pitched squealing noise that just became audible in the background, right after you pressed enter, is the result of the synchronized sphincter contractions experienced by open borders, Globohomo USA, after reading your post.
We have already done the forced election thing in Ukraine, or at least color revolution dirty election, it didn’t work out so well. It never seems to work out well for anyone when we get involved in another country’s election. Bolsonaro isn’t having a good day.
Just end all US funding. The rest will fall in place.
If Trump wants to do real damage to India, the leverage he has isn’t tariffs.
It’s tariffs AND VISAs.
If you want to end the war in Russia & Ukraine, you need to remove the ways which elites in Russia, Ukraine, and their allied nations benefit from it.
The primary way by which elites in Russia, Ukraine, & their allied nations benefit from the war is from mass extermination of ethnic Russian men in the war. This reduces competition for ethnic Russian & Ukrainian women. The elites in Russia & Ukraine are NOT Russian or Ukrainian. They are members of other ethnic groups.
So the solution here is to create zones where:
This way it will be other ethnic groups that die in the war, and when the war is over these groups can return and overthrow their hostile foreign elite run governments.
Russia for Russians, Ukraine for Ukrainians, foreign elites OUT of Russia & Ukraine.
100% ACCURATE
DONT FORGET THE MINSK AGREEMENT
his is an agreement between Kiev and Donbas (external actors such as Russia and NATO are not part of the agreement) – The agreement was sabotaged by the US, UK, Germany and France (by their own admission) Here
“Even President Trump seemed to indicate Sunday the “sanctions threat” doesn’t really hold a lot of influence when it comes to Russia. A secondary sanctions regime against countries that align to purchase Russian energy products could end up backfiring.”
Because it’s true.
As Prof. John Mearsheimer explained last week to Tucker Carlson last week: The smart move for Ukraine right now is to sue for peace.
But, as he also explained, EVERYBODY in the U.S. Foreign Policy establishment is against Ukraine’s doing so, since doing so would thwart their grand 2008 plan of bringing Ukraine into NATO.
Domestically, perhaps the biggest issue is how much more good-money-after-bad PDJT allots for weapons to Ukraine, and how much of _that_ money PDJT’s recent favorite foreign-policy “advisor” Lindsey Graham grifts for himself and for those who own his heavily-stretched anatomy.
if he understands they won’t work, why TF is he going to proceed with them?
It’s performative… placating certain Senators, to go along with confirmations etc.
Domestically, perhaps the biggest issue is how much more good-money-after-bad PDJT allots for weapons to Ukraine…
The quickest way for the killing to stop, which President Trump desires, is for him to stop funding the war. But that would mean Ukraine loses the war and President Trump would be blamed, which is an outcome he wants to avoid. He acknowledges that the U.S. has no cards to play against President Putin and Russia. He wants a ceasefire, but Putin has made it clear that terms of a peace agreement must come before a ceasefire. That would entail agreeing to Russia’s terms, which the U.S. foreign policy establishment would never accept. He should have gotten out of Ukraine quickly after taking office as now he’s boxed in, and unfortunately it appears he’s sided with the neocons.
Ukraine’s top airforce Ace’s
how can he keep getting away with it???
It is real, if you believe…
It’s somewhat amusing, Colkitto. Until this evening I paid no heed to the purported ‘Ghost of Kyiv’; just figured he’s a propaganda cut-out
And then I looked at his name in the above post.
Boge Moy!
Funny thing, I am pretty sure “HYDE” is an Anglo-Irish name, that would have no geographical or ethnic connection to the Kiev in the Ukraine. How could he have obtained that last name? Did Samuyil’s father marry an Englishman?
HOW DOES HE KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT?!!
Never met a fighter jock who wore glasses under his helmet.
Never met a fighter jock who didn’t wear sunglasses indoors.
That photo looks like an instructor pilot getting ready to bark orders from the back seat.
They will try to kill Putin. It can only be remote.
MI6 has already taken at least one try at it, I believe.
Maybe they could send in Ryan Routh? I don’t believe he’s terribly busy. Justice Cannon can find a way I’m sure..
“A secondary sanctions regime against countries that align to purchase Russian energy products could end up backfiring.”
That might be the understatement of the week. It’s kind of like asking, “if I shoot myself in the foot with a 12 gauge, will it help me run faster?
Widespread price increases are a certain outcome to a global embargo, a deepening of the global recession, worsening international relations, escalation of tensions…
There is literally no positive outcome from an embargo. Other than Lindsay gets to keep LARPing as the POTUSA.
“Widespread price increases are a certain outcome to a global embargo, a deepening of the global recession, worsening international relations, escalation of tensions…”
Sounds like a warmongers wet dream……….
Ukraine just needs to face reality and surrender.
The NATO aligned warmongers helping to fuel this madness need to face a firing squad.
The reality is that they don’t need to surrender until we cut them off. And, sadly, we are never going to do that, because the neocons have been finding it far easier to manipulate Donald Trump than anyone ever could have imagined a year ago.
Seems we’re (U.S.) being played by both sides. And honestly, I’m beginning to believe this is a banker’s war and maybe has been all along.
Believe what you will, but when I track PDJT on this, I go back to his campaign rhetoric & how it was always “it would have never started if I were president.” Then it changed to “I’ll solve it in one day.”
He should not have changed it to that, bc now the expectations are extremely high (and unreasonable).
Just because you know you started the forest fire doesn’t mean that you (& only you) can stop it.
Zelensky and his Canadian, European and CIA entourage insures this will go nowhere.
Putin will tell Zelenskyy that Russia wants all the provinces that boarder the Azov Sea from Crimea northwards to Russia.
There are very large deposits of Rare Earth Minerals in those provinces.
Russia has all the rare earth elements that it needs and so does Canada. According to several mining experts Ukraine has very little rare earth elements and they can only be recovered as a byproduct of industrial mining for iron-ore.
I think it gets done this time.
Alot of posturing has been going on.
President Putin’s reputation and the tariffs on India are huge.
Zelenskyy will not agree to any of the terms that Putin has in mind. Zelenskyy’s demands are ridiculous. He has nearly zero leverage.
He’ll soon enough be in the negotiating position in which Japan found itself almost exactly 80 years ago. And it won’t take the big bombings.
Japanese leadership were serious men. They made grave miscalculations and caused many of their young men to die in vain. But they were serious about what they were doing, respect for what they were doing, and enough respect to know when they were beaten.
Little Z man made money playing a piano with his penis. One shouldn’t expect anything more out of him. He is the Ukrainian version of Tim Walz.
We’re not seeing Zelenskyy flying to Pokrovsk to rally the Ukes…
One question I would love to see Sundance address is that of whether what we’re seeing from Trump is evidence that the Senate goons have some kind of leverage over him.
There is nothing to be gained by trying to talk the Russians into altering their stance on Ukraine, which has been in place and unchanged for over a year, nor is there anything to be gained by Lindalee’s super duper sanctions. Yet Trump continues to bark up every tree they point to. He has yet to climb any of those trees — except for blowing a big hole in the ground in Iran, which seems to have successfully shut the neo-cons up for now — but it looks more and more like they might be cornering him into somehow doing their bidding.
That’s how it looks to savvy outsiders like Alex Mercouris, and it would be nice to know if there is a counter argument, alternative explanation for some of what we’re seeing geopolitically.
Who is this Alex Mercouris of which you speak and his claim to fame?
Does he know President Trump and President Putin and President Zelensky, the 3 players in this proxy war game set up by NATO via the USA?
I’m shaking my head at all the experts on this topic tonight.
I will take my seat and allow the leaders of those 3 nations to do their jobs.
I do not underestimate President Trump.
The end.
“The Duran.” on youtube and he is linked from there. Pro Russian perspective. Often correct, but often not. Slant is always ruskie. Rational, knowledgeble, has some info early, but heavily pro russian, and European style anti Israel. Strangely also pro US, but we rank behind Russia.
“The Duran” I am familiar with.
I have watched some segments, via Robert Barnes/Viva Frei a long while ago.
No impression really; just information that I found interesting but beyond that I would not seek them out.
Alex Mercouris is sounding more anti Trump everyday. Hardly a nice word to say. According to Alex, President Trump is incompetent.
I think he is angry that President Trump did not walk away from Ukraine right away. It is a shame because I used to really enjoy his walk about. I know that President Trump is not infallible but it is nonstop lately.
Thanks for that; I really haven’t heard of Alex and had no idea.
I appreciate your forthrightness.
Alex Mercouris hates Trump even more than Hillary Clinton does.
No unbigoted one there.
🤦♀️ 🤦♀️
Jeez…..
It is Alexander Mercouris.
That was my “tell” on your comment.😎
🤣 🤣
And, there are many Treepers who actually
do regularly follow his podcast….
I call you out on the blatant untruthfulness
of your comment.
🙄 They are not sending their best🤷♀️
😵💫 😉 😉 😉
Alex Christoforu does the walk and talk.
Alexander Mercouris — 95% of the time does his
podcast from his home in London.
How could you not know that?
I’m pretty sure President Trump doesn’t know that man even exists. And is better off for it.
Who is this Alex Mercouris of which you speak and his claim to fame?

You probably don’t really care who he is; however, I’ll tell you anyway.
Alexander Mercouris has had a yt channel for years, he’s a geo-political content creator.
He has a show called The Duran, too.
Alex Christoforou also has a yt channel and is Alexander’s partner on The Duran.
Usually, Gypsy links their shows on the Presidential Politics Topic every morning right after the topic goes up.

I believe that due to both Alex and Alexander
growing up in Diplomatic families all their
lives, gives them a perspective on geopolitics
that very few people have.
Alex has great sense of humor, while Alexander
fits the description of a professor. Great balance
between the two.
They are among my daily follows on podcasts.
They have been for years.🤷♀️

😍
I enjoy Alex’s podcasts, hearing international news against a backdrop of different locales, often Cypress, but recently got to see some of Moscow and Tbilisi, Georgia.
Watch them every day, interesting podcasts!
Thanks!
I usually link Alex Christoforu who does

I hardly ever …probably never…link Alexander Mercouris…
I listen to him daily….have been for years..

a couple of times.
Both Alex and Alexander come from diplomatic

geopolitical world all their lives. I believe
that gives them a perspective very few have.

Hi Abigale,
A little background on Alexander Mercouris & The Duran:
Robert F Kennedy JR: “One of my kids asked me the other day what podcast I consider indispensable and I if I had only one podcast that I would listen to it would be the Duran podcast I think anybody who wants to understand US foreign policy but also foreign policy Alex Mercouris on that podcast is such an encyclopedic knowledge of of politics around the globe in Latin America and Africa in Asia and Russia and China is really quite quite breathtaking and to me he’s just a joy to listen to and I never I never miss any of his podcast I don’t always agree with everything but I would agree with probably 90% of the stuff that they say on there and everything they say is brilliant…”
A great many people in the Trump Administration listen to The Duran and Alexander Mercouris and Alex Christoforou.
Agree!
Pepe Escobar, Alex Krainer and a whole list of
serious geopolitical commentators…and websites
are basically saying the same thing that Alexander is.
What I like most about reading/listening to them…Independent Media…
they are not people like the clowns 🤡 on propaganda media like
Faux News and MSM…like Bolton,Graham and the TV Generals🤡
and others who are owned by the MIC and make money from
the MIC to push…..the war agenda.
Observing that castelletto is posing a valid question, and the prime response in this thread is a ad-hominem attack on the pre-dispositioned sources
It doesnt matter if the source is Duran and you dont like Duran.
The question is not “What is your personal opinion of Alexander Mercouris”
The question is : what happened to Trump that his foreign policy is now run more by Lindsey Graham than Marco Rubio?
Last I seen Rubio is proposing the dollar amount that should be charged for visa’s.
I call this side-railed.
How did Trump go from ending the war on the 1st day of his presidency, to wanting to make a peace deal to now earmarking 52 billion USD to send to Ukraine again… how did this happen?
Nobody is asking those questions? And nobody interested to explore some angles that can explain this turnaround?
Alex is blinded to one side as others are to the other, he gets giddy with Chinese and Russian victories imagined o=r otherwise and he is as biased as anyone invested to one side. I listened to him for over one year, but some of his conclusions are laughable.
Well, if this is a delay tactic by Putin, we can’t say he hasn’t been watching Zelensky’s masterful use of it.
What’s good for the Ukrainian goose, etc etc.
not sure i understand why Putin would want to “delay.”
there is a good chance witkoff is going at TRUMP’s insistence, NOT russia. i can hear it already: “if you;re coming here to sell another idiotic ceasefire, let me save you some time.”
Nor I, Muley. But Sundance has asked the question.
Something I always keep in mind…
None of us are privy to the private discussions between the players in this miserable state of affairs. Nor are we privy to the discussions between President Trump and his lieutenants.
But I agree. I’m sure Putin has had well enough of this pantomime and being cast as the nexus of this dreadful war which seems to have no end. I’m sure at some point he will make his position clear.
Delay, Russia will not agree to a ceasefire because our European vassals will put troops on the ground in Ukraine as a trip line during any ceasefire forcing future Russian appeasement or WW3.
Imagine a Russian, Chinese, and Iranian armed Cuba launching weapons on the USA including DC, NATO is completely reckless and irresponsible. Putin will not be around forever and eventually the west will get the war they think they want!
India: just start chopping zeros off their visa numbers and the deal will happen in seconds.
I know really interesting dynamics going on with this one.
Stop all visa’s from India – they have plenty of DNA here to take root for several generations to become truly American. – Let this process grow over time. Too much new blood never allows the root to graft onto our values, our tree. They then just become another group trying to out compete us with their own separate political cliques.
I don’t see why India would not
be in favor of a way to keep the
engineers and tech people in
it’s own country.
It would be a win for us…and a win for India.
Would stop the “brain drain” from India.
A definite win-win.
And I am not being sarcastic.
If Trump does not find a way to quietly exit from the tariff weaponization brinkmanship on India/Brazil/China – and if the BRICs nations call the bluff and tell the empire to go fornicate itself… the entire world is going to see that they do not have to be afraid of the playground bully anymore.
i REALLY don’t think we want to see what happens when everyone realizes just how impotent we are right now.
Just look at 46 yrs sanction on Iran and way how they survive…
🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ Agree!
Sanctions on Russia for over a decade…
has only made them more self reliant
and…sanction proof so far.
And the truth of the matter…and recent
comments between China and EU officials
during meetings..China diplomat actually
said although they are not involved
in the Russia-Ukraine conflict…if ever
Russia requested help .. they would help…
because they know if Russia fails………China is next.
🤷♀️ 😳 😳 🤷♀️
And now reports are that India and China relationship
is improving.
India and Russia have had a close relationship for a long time.
Interesting times….
I paid $5.29 at Shell in San Diego this morning. Two weeks ago it was $4.59 and dropping. Every time President Trump threatens oil sanctions on Russia, Iran or wherever the price of oil pivots back up towards $80 when it was bouncing off $60 not to long ago.
I thought the object of the exercise in November was to substantially bring down the price of oil, gasoline, inflation, interest rates and end funding the war in Ukraine. Seems like we’ve been losing focus of the goal line with the 2026 Mid-term elections starting in 10 months. I guarantee you the Democrats haven’t!
When you’ve told the whole world over and over and over again how a war wouldn’t have started if you had been in there, and now you can’t do anything to stop it . . . .
…and you keep giving $$$ and weapons to the country who provoked the war so they can keep fighting while you pressure the other side to stop?
Just stop the money and weapons flow. Both Europe and Ukraine will seek peace in a hurry. The Deep State may not. We need to find out.
Seeing how things are unfolding……🤷♀️

I do get your point…
gas has been steady here in metro detroit at “my” station, at $2.96 (cash) for several weeks now.
I’ll keep an eye on it though, of course, as i always do.
My gas @Tx @$2.50 …..your NewScum state gov has increased state tax on your fuels. That’s why your gas is so high.
California state tax is only part of the problem. Newsom is shutting down the gasoline refineries and that’s the big problem!
Assuming it’s also lower per gallon in Texas because of more refiners there with less permit/regulation costs involved. California is terrible for paying fees to update, even produce, gas since the State thought by 2030 all their vehicles were going to be electric, so the State started to regulate refiners and new stations out of business.
Gas tax in California, including San Diego, is now $0.61 per gallon; and if memory is correct, the gas sold in California is from refineries there, and some of those have shut down due to inability to get permits to upgrade; plus weren’t there some huge fires at a couple gas refineries in California a month or two ago, so less gas at higher demand???
here in northern Nevada we also get a majority of our gas from those same California refineries; the least expensive was $3.89 a gallon yesterday, our taxes (state and county) total $0.2381 a gallon.
Exactly!
I paid $2.82 in FL last week.
The November exercise worked. California is the problem not the exercise.
$2.42 here in rural Central Texas. Walmart consistently has the cheapest gas.
Screw them both. Lift sanctions on Russia, cut off funding and supplying of Ukraine, and let Ukraine strike wherever they want in Russia. If EU wants to fund that war let them. If Russia wants to finish off its original intention of annexing ALL of Ukraine, let them. Then let them all live with the fallout and unintended consequences. All the yammering parties should understand the effect on the oil market when America once again starts pumping and shipping and flooding the market. Screw them all.
And if Israel wants to flood Gaza with IDF and occupy every square inch of it, what do I care? Let THEM live with the consequences of that move. Let them all live with the consequences of their actions.
Oh, and just to make it clear, hit any American military, or any American flagged civilian ship, and we will turn your capitol into a smoldering pile of rubble in one long and painful night.
Tired of all their bullshit.
Oh, and while I’m ranting, a bit off topic, but why in the bloody hell do I have to push a button for English at any ATM in America? Learn English or GTFO.
yes, yes, yes, and double yes.
Well said – enough is enough already.
I am cheering for Putin & BRICS. Because that is the only sanity in the room. President Trump seems to have become the hostage of the NeoCons
Anyone cheering AGAINST 47 and/or America should be reminded that planes leave every hour for every BRICS country, and should be encouraged to get on one and not come back.
I just don’t get it. You can be against Ukraine support and acknowledge the obvious flaws of Putin, Russia and brics
Yes, but “cheering for Putin and BRICS”? That goes too far.
Hahahahah, Brics and sanity, you people are so funny, Lula the arch criminal Marxist, south Africa the black nationalist lions, the Chinese communist tigers, if these people ever run the world you will learn a hard lesson very quickly. No amount of hate for neocons, and the idiotic uniparty will ever make me cheer for these murderess, criminals and communist, who will not hesitate cut of your head for wrong think.
Please! I think I’m going to throw up a little bit in my mouth.
It is Demonic!!!! These people are not of our value system.
The secondary sanctions will simply be poison to us. China is dumping their treasury notes and has been preparing for a complete decoupling. That’s preparing for both sanctions and more importantly war over Taiwan. India isn’t all that dependent on US trade to begin with. Brazil will feel the pain but can survive. All this will do is increase the pace of de-dollarization ! Trump keeps trying to make the Ukraine his war instead of extricating himself from this loss. Russia won back in ‘23 when the offensive towards Mariupol failed spectacularly. The best army NATO/Ukraine could train and arm was obliterated for no meaningful gain.
spoiler alert: it IS his war. and every time he rehashes that its Biden’s war instead of cutting off Ukraine in the same paragraph, he just makes it that much more obvious to the world.
Alright so explain how cutting them off ends the war. Honestly we live in the real world what are the repercussions of that? It’s exhausting hearing people simplify it to this degree with “it’s his war” talking points, I listen to the Duran too
Cutting off Ukraine doesn’t necessarily end the war, just transfers the defense of Ukraine to European countries.
The Europeans aren’t going to waste their own money on Ukraine but if they want…it’s no longer our problem!
I’m completely fine with that and that is in essence what we’re doing making the Europeans pay for the weapons first
The negotiation will be where will Russia stop. If that is agreed upon, the US weapons flow will stop. Then it is up to Europe and Ukraine. It is none of our business. Another Neocon bad idea has ended for us. If Europe wants to kill itself, we should not stand in their way.
I believe when 47 went to the NATO meeting he came to fully understand just how disturbed ALL the NATO countries were and continue to be about an authoritatrian Eurasion country having the audacity to actully invade a European country in the 21st Century.
Americans came home from WW2 and went on with their lives in a country physically untouched by the war. Europeans lived in the rubble for years. So for many, including those too young to serve but who grew up hearing their parents’ memories of the war and what Europe looked like between the wars, it was deja vu all over again, here we go, 1939. And they are still upset, Sweden and Finland almost immediately joinging NATO, because either of them could be next and they suddenly realized it.
F Putin. Let him have Ukraine. But also let him live with the newly revitalized NATO that HE created. He broke Ukraine. Let HIM pay to fix it.
NATO attacked Ukraine! Russia is the largest country in the world almost the size of the United States and Canada combined stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific within 100 miles of Alaska. I don’t think Russia wants more land!
Uh, no. Russia invaded Ukraine.
Way out there Trapper. The USA broke Ukraine. The USA crossed the line and broke agreements with RU that we had treaties with.
Russia … invaded … Ukraine. The “I’m not touching you” meme Sundance puts up, with little brother baiting big sister, doesn’t justify big sister beating little brother with a baseball bat. You can’t shoot someone in the head if they call you a name or “disrespect” you. And you can’t invade another country because they are making nice with countries you don’t like.
We’re India and Chinas largest customers. Chinas economy is teetering already. We also have the largest Indian diaspora outside India. And many h1b recipients who surely send money home.
So it’s not that simple. Economies are so interconnected now that China losing its man buyer would kill its gdp
China has so many problems that cannot be solved. Japan had a lost decade that was 20 years. China is going to have a lost century.
China has been dumping our T notes for years now – it is a controlled dump.
Better meet him using FaceTime.
Much safer.

Tariffs are great until used in a way you don’t like
All of the tariff revenue is more than offset by Powell’s high interest rates due to the debt and higher inflation.
so you assume that with no tarriffs Powell would lower rates, any proof of that? Except his own words.
No, tariffs are bad. Always bad. Libertarians are against tariffs the way scientologists are against doctors. Their god is the Great Free Market. The Great Free Market heals all economics.
No such thing as the free market – that is propaganda and a myth.
there is no free trade possible between 2 uneven economies, it is just globalist name for seeking slave labor for their profits!!

Maybe Mr Witkoff will find out about this:
“On August 2, 2025, Russian special forces reportedly captured three senior British military personnel during a raid in Ochakov, Ukraine, while targeting a command center used by NATO-linked operatives.
The operation, attributed to the elite unit “Skat-12,” lasted approximately 15 minutes and has triggered a diplomatic crisis between the UK and Russia.
While two of the individuals have been identified, the third remains officially unnamed.
Two of the captured:
Colonel Edward Blake: A British Army psychological operations specialist, MI6 cybersecurity advisor also described as a British intelligence operative captured by Russian special forces during a raid in Ochakov, Ukraine, on August 2, 2025, while allegedly coordinating drone and missile strikes against Russian positions.
Lieutenant Colonel Richard Carroll: A British Ministry of Defense official with prior Middle East deployments, captured alongside Colonel Blake in Ochakov on August 2, 2025, during a Russian special forces operation targeting a Ukrainian command center.
Russian sources claim the personnel were involved in coordinating drone and missile strikes against Russian positions, citing seized encrypted data and strategic maps as evidence.
The UK Foreign Office has denied this, stating the men were in Ukraine for “tourism purposes,” a claim dismissed by Moscow.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has refused a prisoner exchange, indicating the captives will face trial for involvement in hostilities.
The incident occurred amid ongoing Russian strikes in the Ochakov area, with reports of “Geraniums/Gerberas” drone attacks in the Mykolaiv region early on August 2.
Anyone heard any updates?
Alex Christoforou made mention of it today.

First the Limeys suppressed the news, with all stories on European sites pulled within about 90 minutes of publication.
Then they claimed these three staff officer level personnel were tourists who had somehow wandered onto one of the most secure Ukraine bases, on an island, all the way into the base’s command center… exactly where you would expect to find tourists. They appeared to have no beach towels, Hawaiian Tropic or souvenirs from the travels, but instead, encrypted thumb drives, and a whole host of typical MI6 caper reading material. Definitely British tourists. Exactly like the ones in Kosovo, Serbia and Romania…
So when that alibi promptly blew up, Perfidious Albion claimed they were then prisoners of war and they would be willing to engage in a prisoner swap for them.
Since this is a war crime that violates multiple treaties including the Geneva Convention, Russia laughed the POW strategy out of the room and told the Brits these three would face a very public and embarrassing trial (for terrorism etc) and this being a capital crime during a time of war (this one is iffy for Russia as it is not a war but an SMO), could face the noose. Alternatively, a long sentence in a Siberian labor camp.
Due to the MI6 news blackout, the above formulation is heavily reliant on pro-Russian sources, although I did find some info on an Iceland based website.
They don’t qualify as POWs, they’re mercenaries.
Thanks for the share.
Wonder why the third detainee has remained unidentified?

Pravda is running two stories on this.

There are more and more reports that Witkoff’s cancelled visit to Moscow will take place to negotiate the fate of NATO officers captured in Ukraine
“There are more and more reports that Witkoff’s cancelled visit to Moscow will take place to negotiate the fate of NATO officers captured in Ukraine.
Earlier, a number of specialized media reported that Russia had captured active NATO officers, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Carroll and Colonel Edward Blake.
Both are active officers of the British army, and an unidentified MI-6 (British intelligence) agent was captured.
This is how veterans of the French special services write about the special operation to capture:
“My long-time intelligence colleague, whom I know from my work in the Joint Task Force on Terrorism (JTTF) The FBI, which I fully trust, told me that Russian special forces had disembarked from several ships and infiltrated the command center of the Ukrainian armed forces. They captured British soldiers who coordinated the use of British missiles and drones against Russian troops and civilian targets.”
It should be noted that there were no official statements on this matter, although the first reports of the capture of high-ranking NATO officers at Western veteran forums appeared on the night of August 2.
Curiously, the Norwegian newspaper Steigan, which confirmed, citing sources in NATO and the special services, this capture of NATO officers, deleted the material less than an hour and a half after publication.”
If you go to the actual article there are a couple of links to follow contained in the body of the text.

️Russian special forces infiltrated a British command center, and captured a nest of operatives in the Ukraine
️Russian special forces infiltrated a British command center, and captured a nest of operatives in the Ukraine. The three British officers were allegedly involved in coordinating drone and missile strikes against Russian positions.
In a display of diplomatic bravado that would make even the most hardened intelligence analyst cringe, Russian Defense Minister Belousov declared that these British soldiers are not to be exchanged and they’re to face trial for “participating in military actions against Russia.”
The operatives were all detained after a a swift, surgical operation, a testament to Russian efficiency and military prowess. The lightning fast raid lasted a mere 15 minutes.
Almost immediately, diplomatic relations between London and Moscow spiralled into the kind of acrimony usually reserved for a ballet performance gone wrong.
Lurking in the shadow, is the tantalising prospect of an exchange, Simeon Boikov aka, the Aussie Cossack, in exchange for the British operatives and perhaps the return of Oscar Jenkins – another Australian who found his way to the Ukraine.”

There was just as much negativity when Trump bombed Iran, but look how well that turned out. Trust Trump!
Martin Armstrong thinks Trump is making a big mistake and it seems the Neocons have his ear. Armstrong has been trying to reach DJT or at least someone close to him with no luck. He can’t get through to DJT. Martin Armstrong is worth listening to IMHO.
Susie Wiles. John Kelly. Deep cover activated.
John Kelly? You think he doesn’t talk to people extremely anti Ukraine about it on a regular basis?
He doesn’t talk to don jr about it? Or rfk jr or tulsi? David sacks? Of course he does. He’s got to thread the needle and neither Putin or Zelensky are making it easy
I’m not so sure he’s talking to Don Jr, RFK, Tulsi, or David Sacks. It would be preferable if he talked to Don, Jr., frankly, than Wiles.
He’s his son of course they talk about that stuff
President Trump wants Peace🕊️
Russia wants a permanent deal- not ceasefire.
DC warmongers want war…it keeps the grift going
MIC wants war…it keeps the money coming
EU and UK want war…it keeps the grift going.
Zelensky…🤷♀️he just does what the EU/UK wants…
“Is this a Putin delay strategy?”
Is water wet ?
Does a snake slither ?
given biowarfare o similar considertions, it might not be prudent for Putin to meet personally with desperate enemies.
If President Trump even considers trusting Putin, I hope he remembers well his often repeated Tale of the Snake and the Tender Hearted Woman.
“Oh shut up, silly woman… You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in”.
Zelensky is the snake. The man is murdering hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers over nothing. The population of the Eastern part Ukraine is Russian and they don’t want anything to do with Ukraine so let them be part of Russia.
He didn’t remember this song/tale many times!!!!
We have an IC cabal that attempted a coup d’état against a duly elected US President, and many are still there in the shadows unscathed, and you think Putin is the one we shouldn’t trust?
Trump offered Putin everything he’d conquered, full recognition of Crimea, a no nato guarantee for Ukraine, sanctions relief and Putin wasn’t even interested in beginning negotiations.
At what point is Putin also an impediment to peace?
Good point, but I believe that train left the station quite some time ago even though some like to pretend otherwise..
Putin has Crimea
Russia was given a no NATO guarantee on Ukraine years ago
Sanctions are really not bothering Russia
Trump offered Putin nothing.
Russia was never given no nato guarantees, it was just an understanding amongst parties. The RU economy is in bad shape with little investment outside China, Iran, NK and the taliban.

In regards to India – if the information outlined in their response is true, then one can see why they have taken the stance they did.

The legal reality is that Zelenskyy has not been the legitimate head-of-state of Ukraine for most of a year. At the instruction of his “Western” backers, he has eliminated elections under the auspices of martial law. It of course remains to be seen just how much longer the Ukranian people will continue to accept this standard of affairs. 💀
After all, there was a period of history during which a certain Italian referred to himself very confidently as: “El Ducé …”
The reality is the Rada reaffirmed it. It’s corrupt, it’s undemocratic but in the eyes of the ukr parliament he’s legit. That’s why Russia should agree to a ceasefire contingent on 2 things. No nato troops into Ukraine, and elections in 2 months
We need to tell Z he has stolen enough, and he and his Generals can keep 10%, return the rest, and go away and be millionaires (not billionaires) and be happy they didn’t meet up with meat hooks at a brick wall some where. Then give Putin what he won fair and square, and enough room to protect Russian speakers from the Azov Nazis (we could let him kill them all, if he doesn’t say anything when we and IDF kill all the Mullahs).
That way we leave Russia a way back to civilization.
Then we turn to China and do what Mr. Wonderful says and squeeze their heads into a wall and raise their tariffs to 400%.
I will reshare, from earlier today on the Daily Presidential thread, today’s Doomberg substack, titled “Crescendo, WWIII enters a dangerous new phase” as additional thought material to consider when it comes to the BRICS nations and the NATO/Western aligned nations. It’s short but deem it worth a read.

Trump’s Base Fragments Further As He Demands States Support Israel Or Risk Disaster Relief

Reuters reports that President Donald Trump has announced new restrictions barring federal disaster preparedness funds from going to states or cities that boycott Israeli companies, in a move which is sure to further divide Trump’s base, given it’s widely perceived even among many conservatives as flying in the face of America First.
Critics have long argued that Republicans have been placing the foreign nation Israel’s defense and funding needs ahead of American citizens’ well-being. This certainly constitutes more evidence that this is the case. Monday’s controversial order has resulted in an avalanche of online commentary and angry reaction.
To receive aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), states must now demonstrate and confirm that there’s no policy of severing business ties specifically with companies based in Israel.
this is a bad bad idea. There are plenty of other ways to dissuade these states from doing this r.e. Israel. Cutting off FEMA aid is NOT one of them. Who advised this move?
if true, gross beyond belief.
someone tell me how withholding emergency services in a moment of need for fellow citizens, for ISRAEL, is serving america first?
go ahead, i’ll wait.

These secondary tariffs on India and China for buying Russian oil is the dumbest idea ever.
They are not going to stop buying below market priced oil from Russia. These tariffs will harm the USA economy far more than India and China. All it will do is hasten the end of the U.S. dollar as the reserve currency for a lot of nations.
Zelensky and Vladimir Putin had a deal all hammered out before the Clowns In Action and DS globalist thieves made the coke head tear it up.
Now most of the youth in Ukraine have been kidnapped and sent into the meat grinder and the U.S. taxpayer has been forced to finance Everything in Ukraine while 75% of the Aid disappeared like all the military equipment.
Russia started to decouple its economy from the West a few years before 2014. Right now, it is almost fully non-globalist economy.
Take airplane production, there is no country in the world that can produce ALL or most of the needed components by themselves, the supply chain is truly global. Russia manages to have 90%+ of components produced locally, including the most critical ones, like engines and avionics. They aren’t the best, but they are local.
“ Vladimir Putin is open to meeting Volodymyr Zelensky for talks following “preparatory work at the expert level,” the Kremlin has announced, according to the state-owned RT television station.
“I would like to remind you that the president himself does not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting,” Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman said. “But only after the necessary work is done at the expert level and the appropriate distance is overcome.”
Translation: I’ll meet with Zelenskyy to accept his clear and total surrender and the granting of all of our demands. V.P.
Putin knows that is not going to happen.
The Biden Fauxministration REALLY put this country in a hole… between the spending, the border, the absolute Dumpster Fire on the foreign policy side of things… I take that back… IT WAS ALL A DUMPSTER FIRE. And to think that election was stolen…
I somehow come to terms with it — not acceptance but acknowledging the reality that it happened — and then something pops up, like realizing the outrageous cost of a necessary item or like this war with killing for no reason except the globalists want more toys — and then I’m angry again, and then go through the whole cycle again.
The 2020 steal has led to the most horrendous suffering for many and we are no where done yet.
I want these people to face justice for what they have done! We have to end the globalists ongoing war against us.
If Vladimir Putin was as popular across America as he is here in the CTH comments, he would not only get Ukraine, but would be given Wester Europe and Alaska too.
Western Europe would be a hundred percent better being run by Putin!
absolutely not!! and I am originally from Europe and cant stand European Union. But I see people on the right are starting to fall for the same extremes as the left. Putin is maybe good for Russia, historically they always had a strong man ruling them with no concern for individual liberty, but he is not good for any other country .
“but he is not good for any other country .”
How is Starmer, Maccaroon, or Merz good for us, or any other country?
Putin isn’t the one stealing US taxpayer monies.
I’m optimistic that the ceasefire will begin on Friday. Ukraine has been losing the war so it will probably accept the cease fire. Russia has already conquered most of the territory in Ukraine’s eastern provinces where the Russian speakers and Russian Orthodox Church members live.
The tricky negotiations will come after the ceasefire, but Trump is the master of negotiations. He listens to both sides and makes sure that any final agreement meets the essential requirements of each party.
What happens when the irresistible force (for peace – Trump) meets the immovable object (for war – Putin) ?
If Putin were truly the immovable object for war, he could have taken Kiev (Ukraine’s capital) and Odessa (Ukraine’s vital Black Sea Port). Instead, he has been content to move against eastern Ukraine.
There are 2 versions of the truth, one he is content, the other incapable. Sometimes people even say stupid thing like he is incapable of beating Ukraine, but at the same time he wants to attack rest of Europe and take it over lol. Truth is probably way more complicated or simple depends on your POV. Europe always wanted to destroy Russia, and Russia wants back what was theirs for a long time. Plus the messy fall of Soviet Union left tons of unresolved issues!!
Arthur Ankh,
Good point. Russia can only conquer about 20 square kilometers per day in eastern Ukraine because drones counter tanks in modern warfare. How would Russia conquer all of Europe? And why would Russia even want to do so?
The immovable object for war is the Western ruling class, people such as Lindsey Graham and Victoria Nuland.
The war will end if and when they are defeated, not before.
John Paul,
Don’t forget the large countries in western Europe (Germany, France and Britain) — they are also immovable objects for war, partly because they are facing economic recessions. Trump will definitely have a hard time in the upcoming negotiations, but if anybody can succeed, he can.
President Trump has already handled the EU with equitable trade/tariff agreements. You believe that is for naught?
Abigail,
No, I think that those trade agreements were a great example of Trump’s master negotiating skills. The big western European countries will propose to station troops in Ukraine after the ceasefire so that they can get NATO into the fight if it breaks down and start WW 3.
They think that they would quickly conquer Russia. Napoleon and Hitler shared the same delusion. And, even worse, if they were actually succeeding in backing Russia into a corner, Russia’s would use nuclear weapons.
Graham is irrelevant. People continually inflate his importance. He’s a gross effeminate war monger but he isn’t in control of anything
Yes. But some people worry that Trump is taking his advice. But Trump knows people. He is no one’s stooge, certainly not Graham’s.
You realize that the Russian Air Force has 1,400 fighter jets and bombers that could easily level every city in Ukraine overnight killing hundreds of thousands? They haven’t!
Roger, sorry… Bob.
Ukraine(and it’s backers) are the losers, and the losers don’t dictate to the winner the terms of any peace agreement.
If Ukraine finds the terms unacceptable, it’s clearly not yet time for peace, so the show must go on, until they make the right decision.
Russia would be stupid to call for a ceasefire now.
Russia didn’t want the cease fire to be now. In another month it could have completed the conquest of all of Ukraine’s eastern provinces. Trump wanted the cease fire to be now because he wants to complete his trade deals with China and India. Once the ceasefire begins, he will do so.
Trump’s pique with Russia occurred because they didn’t comply with the first ceasefire request. Trump had claimed that he could bring peace to Ukraine, and Putin wasn’t helping. Martin Armstrong fails to understand that Trump’s goal is a ceasefire, not a Russian surrender.
Armstrong is predicting that Trump’s moves will lead to nuclear war. He thinks that Trump has come under the spell of the neocons. Just two days ago, he was lamenting that Trump was not communicating with Putin. Then, out of the blue, came the Witkoff visit. Like many, many others, Martin underestimates Trump..
I have always posted that Putin is ex-KGB, despite his nice religious and patriotic statements that less discerning conservatives love to post.
He is prolonging this war and we must up the ante in my opinion.
I am a 100% red blooded American if you question my judgement and opinion.
Just wait as some people here, who are not 100% red blooded Americans, will say you are Lindsey Graham.
Putin was a lawyer in KGB not a killer!
Yeah…and they always seem to
forget that our 41st President
George H.W. Bush was….
Director of CIA.
🤷♀️ 🤷♀️
Missed your comment, posted the same.
Are you sure Putin is not a killer?
And I always remind people that
George H.W. Bush..our 41st President was
Director of the CIA
Putin… after he graduated law school
he went to work for the KGB.
No difference between CIA and the KGB
🤷♀️ 🤷♀️
But you’re acting as if those things are relevant. I doubt CalCon is a Bush fan
Thank you! I voted for him the first time because the alternative was awful, but after he broke his “read my lips no new taxes” promise, I reluctantly voted for Perot. Perot was 100% right on NAFTA and now knowing Bush’s CIA ties, maybe he wasn’t so crazy when he claimed that his daughter’s wedding was going to be ruined and practically capitulated during the latter days of his campaign (Perot’s).
I have always posted that Putin is ex-KGB, despite his nice religious and patriotic statements that less discerning conservatives love to post.

What do you mean, “we should up the ante”?
How so?
0.o
That’s a good, fair, question. At least put some banking sanctions on Russia and give them less time to comply or not comply.
I must say, I never have read a post from your before today. There seem to be a lot of new profiles making comments all of a sudden.
And
Bush(the smarter one) was the head of the CIA before he became the President.
What’s your point?
And what’s your point?
Is Bush in charge right now?
I didn’t think so. What a straw man argument.
No one has refuted my argument that Putin is prolonging this war.
The war only ends when Trump cuts off aid to Ukraine. The idea that Putin and Zelenskyy could sit down between themselves and end America’s war on Russia is ludicrous.
We need to pray for all of these people. The lord is only way. The comments and anxiety here is palpable but rest in the lord and the peace he offers is the only way. HE is the way, the truth and the life. Pray my friends.
The Biden regime pretty much alerted Russia (and BRICS) as to what can happen with US policy under a US government with different goals and idealogues. Putin can also see that the presidency in the US does NOT control the IC community and its behavior. You cannot blame Russia (or BRICS) for standing strong in their economic policies. I can only hope that Trump is speaking to Putin behind the scenes. This public display of, on the one hand, discussing Russia coming back to the G8 or normalizing relationships with Russia again, versus setting a deadline for the Ukraine situation, versus continuing to send weaponry and intelligence to Ukraine (even via NATO) does NOT send a stable message.
I don’t trust Putin.
BRICS is always an interesting idea, since neither India nor Russia is likely to sustain long-term, cordial relations with China. And now there’s the U.S. rare earths deal with Pakistan…
