The terms Ukraine and government corruption are synonymous regardless of who is funding the schemes. After Volodymyr Zelenskyy grabbed more power by stripping two key anti-corruption agencies, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP), of their independence, protests erupted.
European leaders immediately noticed the intent of the power move and threatened Zelenskyy with a withdrawal of support. The current dictatorship of Zelensky and his small team then quickly reversed course. However, the damage is done, and once again Ukranian corruption is center stage.
It doesn’t matter how much western intelligence agencies and pro-Ukraine western govt officials try to hide the nature of the duck represented by Zelenskyy by calling him a swan, eventually the quacking returns – the mask drops.
UKRAINE – […] Some also cautioned that the agitation could spark a popular uprising like the one that toppled then-President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014. “We are now in the face of the most dangerous development in all the years since Maidan,” wrote Sevgil Musayeva, editor-in-chief of the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper. And like others, she hazarded that Zelenskyy’s powerful Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak was behind the move, amid signs that NABU is preparing cases against presidential insiders.
Eventually, with public uproar mounting, Ukraine’s president bowed to the pressure and agreed to restore the independence of the agencies — a new law turning back the clock is meant to be voted on Thursday.
Among the insiders currently under investigation are former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov and former Deputy Head of the Office of the President Rostyslav Shurma. Shurma was dismissed last year, after it emerged his brother was receiving green subsidies from the Ukrainian government for solar plants operating in Russian-occupied Donbas. Coincidentally, Shurma’s Munich home was raided by NABU investigators and German police in mid-July.
“It is critical not to lose the unity. To listen to people, to have dialogue, and so on,” Zelenskyy told reporters at a press briefing on Friday, explaining his about-face and consequent decision to restore the independence of the agencies in question.
QUACK!
[…] some civil society leaders think targeting the agencies is a sign that Zelenskyy and his clan-like group of aides are starting to panic about his poor polling numbers. As it stands, his chances of winning the next election, when it is eventually held, appear remote, with former armed forces commander General Valery Zaluzhny, who Zelenskyy fired after clashing over war strategy, seen as most likely to get elected.
[…] The street protests in Ukraine have put Zelenskyy on notice, and they’re an indication that patience is wearing thin. (read more)
Everywhere you travel in Europe the one constant amid the ordinary working-class is their knowledge that Ukraine is a bastion of political corruption. The summer coastline of Europe is full of Ukrainian govt officials and very wealthy Ukranian businessmen spending money, a lot of money, that everyone knows is coming from USA and European subsidy.
Visible Ukraine corruption is a joke amid those who cannot afford pretending and those in the service industries in the vacation resorts all along the European coast.
Making it all worse, is the in-your-face aspect of it very visible from the Ukrainians staying in luxury hotels, villas and opulent residences while sneering through their designer sunglasses. “Meh, or she, is Ukrainian,” is the simple response to the rudeness when noted.
There may be no love for Vladimir Putin within the muscle memory of some older populations within some former Soviet states. However, amid the working-class and the portion of the younger generation self-inoculated from western propaganda, opinion of Zelenskyy is even lower.
Eastern European support for the Zelenskyy regime is akin to U.S. support during the Biden regime. The pretending exists in media and government officials’ proclamations only.
Don’t kid yourself, the politicians know it.

Dump Ukraine, normalize relations with Russia.
Yes. Why are we still there.
The 64,000 dollar question! Why indeed!
To launder money for Congress.
Money for the congressional sex abuse slush fund.

To salvage the investments in project Ukraine of globalist billionaires.

I hope PDJT knows what he’s doing in his Russia dealings. I’m loathe to believe media reports, so much fog enshrouds assertions that PDJT is pressuring Russia moreso than Ukraine right now. It shouldn’t be US business; it certainly seems to be Lindsey Graham’s business, whom PDJT just endorsed for reelection.
He can’t pressure Russia because Russia doesn’t care. They have a plan and are sticking to it. Trump is posturing for reasons we can’t really know, maybe just to keep the Senate fractured on Ukraine and less dangerous.
Trump started to act differently in the run up to the BBB.
How about maybe to keep the Senate, period?
The numbers are too close.
Let Europe take care of Europe. Keep us Americans out of their problems that they have created for centuries.
The Marshall Plan in Europe is purportedly OVER but the Marshall Plan for Ukraine continues . . .
The Martial Plan–War is Still a Racket.
“I am an anti-imperialist. I am opposed to having the eagle put its talons on any other land.”–Mark Twain
Medal of Honor winner Smedley Butler wrote “War is a Racket” nearly a century ago. It describes Ukraine to a Tee.
But even old Smedley would be amazed how we manipulated Ukraine into a war that only we wanted, killed a million of ’em and then told them were doing them a favor all the way to the bank.
I didn’t get it back when NATO raped Serbia. But I get it now.
Rest in the Vine: NATO Must Go So that Freedom May Live
Great comment!
Well we all know how Europe dragged America into WWI. We had no reason to be involved with their territorial infighting.
WWII was another European conflict that Americans should have avoided. The Japanese attacked America and we had reason to fight back against Japan not Europe.
I hope we have learned to not trust our corrupt leadership ever again when it comes to what war to fight.
It was always the bankers who profit off war. Their game is to create hatred between people then exploit both parties as they go to war. The war we are in now is the same one that has existed since the rise of capitalism – business elites making profit off the average citizen. This is done everywhere in the world and the play by those who benefit is to keep us unaware, angry and fearful. When they succeed the dance continues and when they fail happiness breaks out. Let’s band together against the WAR PIGS and let happiness break out!
I am not sure, but I think it was Hitler that finally dragged the USA into WWII by declaring war on USA.
It is good that you are not sure because you probably forgot the false flag op called Pearl Harbor. That was our excuse to get into WWII.
Germany and Italy declared war on the US on 11 December 1941. Three days after US declared war on their ally Japan.
The run up to the attack on Pearl Harbor is where the debate comes in.
Hitler was put into place by the world banking/business/power families with intent of war. Well documented and detailed history. See the Tucker Carlson interview of Richard Werner on TCN 7-27, or google the details, interesting history.
And certain US corps continued to supply Hitler for some time after the declaration of war.
Japan attacked first after repeated provocations by FDR, ie: oil embargos, seizures of Japanese ships in US harbours, etc.
It was Rockefeller who bribed the Japanese to bomb Pear Harbor.
Americans held strong against participating in the war until that point.
Where did you find that, please?
You realize that Germany declared war on US within days of the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, right?
Two anti corruption agencies in Ukraine?
A lot like a having a thermostat in hell to tell the residents how hot it is. What purpose did they serve? Everyone knows the level of corruption is all encompassing. What did they do about what they found?
Would they be missed if they were eliminated?
Zelenskyy would have better served himself and his agenda if he had never mentioned their existence.
Is he saying the agencies were successful in uncovering corruption and Z wanted them stopped? Or was it a warning to anyone who might try to investigate corruption that it won’t be tolerated?
We, the US, have two also.
FIB’s and Clowns In America.
“A lot like a having a thermostat in hell to tell the residents how hot it is.”
This line can be used for a lot of things, and works perfectly here.
Hubris? Arrogance? Stupidity?
Zelensky’s time is over, in fact it was over when he failed the people of Ukraine after his “election” in 2019.
If he waits too long to run to his bolthole (Southern Florida, perhaps?), he will probably get the Mussolini treatment — which would be a great spectacle where no tears would be shed for him.
this…he made his money…greed is, in the end, the shape of a noose…
My word…. that’s not really funny. I don’t know about others, but I was watching all of this stuff unfold in horror. All of these surreal things happening while everyone around me didn’t feel like anything strange was going on, or worse, some people saw it and just said “nothing we can do about it….”
They say good times make weak men. We must have been in some incredibly great times because we are the weakest of men today.
[…] The street protests in Ukraine have put Zelenskyy on notice, and they’re an indication that patience is wearing thin.
The country is almost completely destroyed by the war and patience is just now wearing thin? I guess as long as America is paying the salaries and pensions of all the governmental bureaucrats everything is just fine? I pray President Trump doesn’t up military arms and support for the war!!!! JMO
I’m my small neighborhood in Alabama we have 2 Ukrainian families, one of whose entire extended family also resides in the US. The grandparents have arrived (retired don’t work) as well and live in their own home, drive a car and go to a gym I can’t afford.
The neighbor tells me how poor they were growing up. From what I can see, we taxpayers are pickup more than the cost of war and pensions and corruption of the elites and military. Why would any Ukrainian want to stop the gravy train.
And then Americans wonder why our own healthcare is so expensive, along with everything else. We provide Europe with free defense, Israel has free healthcare and free college, Ukraine is raking the money in and the people are going on lavish vacations. It goes on and on and on. The exfiltration of American wealth.
At least it appears some of us are waking up to the rape of our country.
How is it that Ukrainians can come here and live high off the hog? And why is President Trump even thinking about taking their side against Russia?
Joan… THAT is a real puzzle to me, also.
Now it’s different. My grandsons mother was adopted out of Ukraine by a soldier stationed there back in the 90’s. His entire family was originally from Ukraine had already immigrated here. That country was a disgusting mess back then. The only thing that seems to have changed is instead of soldiers we give them unlimited money!
“wrote Sevgil Musayeva, editor-in-chief of the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper“
Wait?! Pravda still exists?
LOL. In the US it’s spelled NYT.

As long as Zelenskyy and his crew are in power, me thinks Putin will continue the fight. I think this is a conditions based deal with Putin and Zelenskyy needs to be gone for any substantive results.
i think that depends HIGHLY on who replaces him. if it is another CIA stooge, Putin has little reason to stop. Plus, the west has now made clar that the moment they DO stop, UK and France intend to put boots on the ground in whatever is left. so yet again, very little reason to stop, now.
and then Transnistria is the next place where we will start ordering ethnic russians slaughtered, so Putin will need to be on the border there.
I think Putin is leaning into the idea that a Zelenskyy replacement with DJT in office will not be another cia stooge. A maidan 2.0 redux etc. After Trump leaves is another matter. Nothing lasting happens unless/until deep state is castrated and with the NED being fully refunded under Johnson and Thune, well, unfortunate.
If the Russians take Odessa and drive 35 miles to the southwest to the Romanian border that would put them at the southern border of Moldova, in position to assist the Transnistrian Russians.
I think Zelenskyy and Kamala would make a cute couple. So much in common!
The Joy!
It’s not corruption, it’s done worldwide. The upper crust think it’s part of their normal operation. Don eall over the world. Some slyly and some blatant.
EU won’t let the war end so I guess 47’s best option was to make NATO pays for the weaponry. What a mess he inherited.
NATO “paying” is a shell game that makes it HIS war.
just LEAVE, already.
you know the Dems will try to hang it on Trump soon enough, why are you helping them?
truth has no agenda.
Disagree. If he stops the war then the commie dems will pull out their Stand With Ukraine gear and bury him over dying Ukrainians. Right now, they are silent over dying Ukrainians.
This is Biden’s War and will remain as Biden’s War.
We all know what is going on. Maybe once the NATO nations keep having to foot the bill for the weaponry then they will start to push for ending the war. But PDJT has to make it hurt in their wallets in order to change their minds.
Nato is not paying nato countries that want to can buy nato weapons and hand them over. So far the rush to get the trains and trucks loaded has been amazing, They can hardly find a truck to deliver food to the palaces. /S
He could have put an end to it on day one.
Please explain.
So the Ukrainian Untermensch are finally making their voices heard. How dare they interrupt the grand plans of their masters, at home and abroad!!
Carry on…
And God be with you all 🙏🏻
Carry on…
Sounds like a race to the bottom between the Ukrainian government and our FBI when it comes to corruption.
I’m surprised no one in Ukraine has hired a hit squad to take him out. I always figured him, and his cohort were crooked. Ukraine is better off without him and the rest. No more money or weapons. I believe this is why putin keeps up the pressure, he wants zelenskyy and his cronies gone.
Maybe they have?
It really doesn’t matter. Zelensky is a puppet. That is why Putin wants the core, not just zelensky, out of ‘service’. Fascism.
Responsible for the murder of Gonzalo Lira, an American citizen.
We should take these statements seriously….I wish Trump had walked away from Ukraine on day one of his presidency.
Now the war in Ukraine is his mess to deal with and it will not end well.
Dmitry Medvedev
@MedvedevRussiaE
Trump’s playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10… He should remember 2 things:
1. Russia isn’t Israel or even Iran.
2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Don’t go down the Sleepy Joe road!
Medvedev is not wrong you know.
No, and PDJT might be mindful to not bite off more than he can chew.
even now, he could make that call. i get that it won’t be this glorious victory that he wants, but it is in America’s interest.
WALK AWAY NOW. no weapons. no intelligence. no money.
Just say no.
Ah… the hardest thing.
Yesterday’s tariff deal was billed as a rebalancing, however it was also an attack on Russia, hitting them in the pocket book on natural gas and assuring Europe is well armed. Putin ignores Trump at his peril.
I deemed it not an attack against Russia’s energy market or the arms sales – which NATO members are now going to uphold their commitments – but more about getting money back from the years of the Marshall Plan.
The energy price tag is very high, as I understand it.
It might guarrantee a market for our energy producers to encourage them to drill, baby, drill. I understand that there has been hesitantcy to move forward with that due to the radical differences between the two parties in DC in terms of “climate change” and the potential future of DC power. Biden’s regime has brought caution across the board.

Always be wary of a Clinton!
As for Zelensky, it appears as though his salad days may be coming to a close. Oh well.
If you need a road, make a road.
If you want peace, make peace….not war.
If you don’t want war, don’t buy it.
The US needs to pick up its dolls amd go home.
They should never have left them there in the first place.
yep.
Being dragged into a war with Russia would certainly bury the Obamagate conspiracy. On to the next created crisis.

The Ukrainians that came to Washington State have always been elfing rude.
I was in WA in the 90’s around the time of the Soviet collapse. I once watched them buy 200 some dollars of Hershey bars with food stamps. Rumor was they were being sent home, black market. Also remember a car theft ring. Buy the car, report it stolen and ship it home via freighter out of Vancouver or Seattle, black market.
That is why our auto insurance rates are so high.
100% accurate…although Montreal was possibly worse for the movement of stolen luxury vehicles.
UKR, Just get it over with and oust him and his clown car friends if he has any left. Oh, and freeze his bank accounts as he leaves.
agreed, though i think we have to assume that whatever he is replaced with will simply be the next stage of the grift.
either way, the one sure fire way to exit is to EXIT. his “leadership” is not our concern if we would just STOP being the other party to the war.
It is easy to say He is not our concern. but it was the US that installed him. Conundrum…
He had a show? Thank God I never saw it.
Especially if it included a piano….
Once this war ends, he will likely be on a single rope.
Walk away and let them fix their own problems. That, in essence, is the problem always facing America. We’re trying to fix other people’s problems while we have way too many at home. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Help if asked but your business is your own.
The problem is there are too many Americans making a good living off of Ukraine, a corrupt racket masquerading as a country.
I agree And its not just Americans. No one wants to let go of the war purse.
The majority of which “work” in D.C.
It’s my understanding that this entire fiasco was started by Victoria Nuland and associates. A bunch of underling government workers should never be allowed to do such a thing and should have been stopped in their tracks.
Indicting Nuland for her continual role in the RICO conspiracy might bring about a good result in the UKR conundrum.
I heartily endorse your statement!!!
So, the question is: when will Z flee to Israel?
No, he will come to America like all of the riff raff people do and we, for some unknown reason, let them in. Reminds me of the tale Trump used to tell about the spider.
Any chance you mean the snake?
Or maybe a scorpion? I think that was another of his stories. But the snake poem was famous.
Zelenskyy’s life is the true sequel to all the movies about inexperienced people rising to power. This is what happens. They get overwhelmed by smarter people who find and work on their weaknesses, and then they wake up one day compromised. The drama of the sequel is, then what?
The Peter Principle.
People rise to their level of incompetence.
Something we seem to have a lot of in D.C.
Looking forward to the day when that bug gets squashed.
Arrogance? That is a trait of “new” money.
DefundFUKraine
It’s not like those anti-corruption agencies ever got anyone prosecuted too!
Zelenskyy behaves like a high level Communist and it is highly likely that most of the people of Ukraine and Eastern Europe are able to recognize the similarities to the old USSR regime. No?
The decision was made – he’s on the way out. He can voluntarily go, or the full Langley protest suite will be set off. No cookies this time.
It’s simple, tell the idiot to hold normal elections or no more $
So we can continue the gravy train with a duly elected new Ukrainian president?
No, the point is to cut it off. Having elections is step 1 – I believe the end of the war non-sense there would end post-elections.
Also, ending the war will lead to elections – theoretically.
The Ukraine non-sense needs to stop, period.
Zelensky is turning into a little Hitler dictator.
No more dollars… for any reason.
Yet, we continue to use our national treasure to the tune of $175 billion annually (President Trump’s estimate) to finance the Ukraine war effort and underpin the entire Ukraine economy. Who are the dumb ones?
Guess the only thing worse than watching 5,000 soldiers die every week and spending $175 billion annually for the privilege is having to admit you lost Ukraine on your watch. That’s the position Putin has put us in.
“…admit you lost Ukraine on your watch.”
Works for me. Better than the alternative. I guess it depends on how you define “worse.”
President Trump can’t have all of Ukraine fall on his watch. The eastern, Russian-speaking part, fine. Not all. It would make the U.S. look weak and be politically ruinous to the rest of his term and legacy. So far, he doesn’t trust Putin to not go all the way.
I don’t care if it “makes the USA looks weak”…. IF we DO THE RIGHT THING.
I agree with you. We should absolutely not be providing Ukraine with the missiles and targeting capabilities to strike deep inside Russia. We need to provide just enough arms to keep Putin from overrunning the country. What a waste of our treasure that we have to carry the entire Ukraine economy. Instead, let’s use the savings to buttress Social Security or Medicare. We need the dollars here.
Putin did not put us in any position – we did that ourselves. With the help of Victoria Nuland, et.al.
WE the People did not.
The warmonger cabal did.
As usual, we are.
Miss Lindsey, Papa John, Schiff, Pelosi; it’s not just a Ukranian politician graft thing. Lurking in the shadows is the CIA, constantly perpetrating and ignoring. If Ukraine chooses to be like N Korea we should be playing no part. It’s on them
Remember when Samantha Powers (USAID) swooped in with PR cash to drown out the outrage every time Zelenskyy had his power‐grab? Good times.
Yes, no USAID or Ms. Powers to come to Zman’s rescue.
Whether there are ”anti corruption”agencies or not doesn’t matter. They have stopped nothing. There are 1000s of new Ukrainian millionaires, many stories and videos of their 10 million Euro villas in Switzerland the EU, , videos of the connected driving around in the most expensive cars on Earth.Mrs Zelenskiy’s 40 K shopping at one Paris store etc.The green T-shirt has 100s of millions or billions in offshore accounts.None of this is unknown to politicians .Reminds me of Mrs Arafat who lived in Paris and spent on average 100k USA dollars a month. The ordinary taxpayer is sick to death of all this theft and corruption by everybody who can indulge themselves.I’m betting that the 50 days was given initially because that is about the time left to the Zelensky/CIA/NATO gang to collapse .Remember this ? Son of Afghanistan’s Former Defense Minister Buys $20.9 Million Beverly Hills Mansion. Why in God’s name are there NEVER any consequences or accountability. The USA is as corrupt as Ukraine.
I well recall Mrs. Arafat’s spending, courtesy of the US taxpayer.
Zelenskyy. What to do, with an impetuous, disagreeable, tinpot dictator? I am so hoping they don’t bring his retinue to Spokane! Wouldn’t he like a nice island, such as Elba?
“…popular uprising like the one that toppled then-President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014. ”
Ukraine media letting Victoria Nuland and the rest of Team Obama off the hook with that reporting.
No, despite a helping hand from Team Obama, Yanukovych did himself no favors. He was always (and these are the exact words from a dear Russian friend of mine, I hope he is well) “a corrupt turnip who is beyond useless”.
I got the impression that many Russians were getting tired of his bs. I know a lot of Ukrainians were fed up with him, and the EU was finding him useless for their agenda as well.
He really wasn’t very clever after all.
Ukraine seems to have more than its fair share of such people.
Anyone know where Viktor Medvedchuk is nowdays?

CYA/Deep State?
🤷♀️
In the news today is a story that the EU is suspending all aid to Ukraine due to concerns over corruption. Hmm. Those concerns have been valid for many years, but only now the EU is concerned? Or is it that President Trump just got them to commit to spending more on trade relationship with the US and investing in the US and the EU doesn’t have the bucks for both the new trade deal and continuing to give aid to Zelensky? Maybe, just maybe, they are having to divert funds from Ukraine to the trade deal with the US? That’s got to be a win.
You are spot on. This is no coincidence at all.
EU just cut off the free money. I hope President Trump does the same thing.
Maybe President Trump is about to use cutting off aid to Ukraine as a strong arm tactic on Zelenskyy. I see a peace deal inbound.
Perhaps. Perhaps the EU countries think they’d like to keep those American weapons they are contracted to buy for themselves?

Zelenskyy should be very grateful that PDJT47 doesn’t have the same kingmaker instincts as JFK did vis-a-vis Diem in 1963.
I wonder when he will realize his time is about up now that Euroweenie support is fading? They claim it is due to concerns about corruption, but I think it’s more a symptom of their struggle to maintain power in the face of PDJT47’s tariff negotiations.

Rumour: https://x.com/MOSCOW_EN/status/1950188706016403588. I thought I saw a report on this by Paul Sperry of RCI but cannot find it. Russia is taking Pokrovsk (?) which reportedly is the last bastion preventing RF from rolling across to the Dneiper – hence perhaps Trump’s 10-day announcement.
07.25.25 – Russian units broke into Pokrovsk, the Ukranian collapse has begun.
Pokrovsk will likely be the most strategically important achievement for the Russia in 2025. Ukraine loses the biggest logistics hub in Donbass and the last big fortification before the Dnepr River.
There is a complete lack of communication between the Ukrainian Armed Forces units operating in Pokrovsk [aka Krasnoarmeysk] due to the actions of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the city. Ukrainian sources describe the situation as total chaos.
07.26.25 – The Armed Forces of Ukraine have withdrawn most of the commanders from Pokrovsk. The collapse of the city has begun.
“Zelenskyy on the ropes” is in the headline.
It’s too bad it’s not “Zelenskyy is hanging from a rope.”
When this corrupt mob boss finally swings, the United States should seize ALL his expensive properties and wealth throughout the world as ALL HIS WEALTH HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE !
So were these “organic” “protests” or did they get a little help from US?
For three days the protests in Kyiv were “organic” Lisa, high percentage of women in the protests carrying pieces of cardboard with their messages written on them. The first protest information came from social media sites and the second and third days of the protests, further information and videos were presented as evidence.
By day four, the demographics began to change. Men in camouflage started showing up, carrying commercially printed protest signs. They hang around until pictures are taken of their posters and themselves and then they disappear. At this point the the Kyiv protests have grown from an initial 500 person protest to, by my count, approximately 2000 protesters.
From organic to completely hi-jacked within less than 3 days.
This morning I read that the “protests” started in Lviv yesterday, which is a whole ‘nother story…
Protests always have an element of the organic to them, but protests eventually run out of steam if not tended.
That’s true everywhere.
Yikes, what a nasty “garden” to “tend.”
I’m picturing thistles, poison ivy, bittersweet vine, itchweed…
