I have a brother like that. He was a decent sort until he gained his over abundance of wealth. They entertain friends and acquaintances for days at their home in FL. My son got stranded and lost down there and when I asked for help for him, I got a lecture instead.

He was a CMU Grad, GSIA, tall, blond, good looks, beautiful wife and kids..big house, sports cars and big SUV’s..then the heavy drinking started..He lost everything and came to live with me , penniless..he had brain damage, short term memory loss..It was pitiful. I got him back on his feet, medical care, SSI, my Dad and I supplimented him and he had his own apt and a car..we developed a special friendship those last 8 years. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 10 years ago and passed at my house 7 weeks later..it taught me a good lesson.
Pursue gratitude, for it supplies the heart with happiness in the littlest of things.

As far as AI, some seem to be exploring the direction of it and comparing to some of what appears to be foretold in Scripture. From times of old such as the magicians of Egypt (Exo. 7:11) to the “lying wonders” spoken of in 2 Thess. 2:9, the deception from the devil and the principalities and powers in opposition to God has evidently appeared to include the exercise of deceitful powers, and this may appear to even relate to possible mimicry of the act of creation.
In light of the false and lying wonders predicted, one wonders whether Revelation 13 — with its forecast of one such power / force giving “life” (Gr. pneuma, breath) to the image of the beast — might relate to something cast as a new / improved creation (sic) and as purportedly better, stronger, smarter, more evolved as it were, etc. There are questions about what is also in the chapter about the conditional method for all at that point to buy and sell also seems noteworthy and relevant.
What may be considered could include the ambition of some for increased merging of technology with God’s purported image bearers. This may give pause to much of mankind (such as those attending to the Scriptures), especially as the seeming push for us to be fine with “machines are people too” / transhumanism promotion seems to march along on multiple fronts.
Conversely, much of mankind might line up in support for much or all of this, particularly when things could go beyond indoctrination and deception and add levels of intimidation and coercion. Another potential parallel may apply to the “kings of the earth” and the “merchants of the earth” discussed in Revelation 18 who weep over “the great city Babylon”, the latter of whom have in the list of cargo / merchandise the “souls of men.”
Hopefully, what is written may further encourage people to have a proper perspective and to be in the right place spiritually as soon as possible in the day of salvation. (See John 3:16-17, John 5:24, John 6:28-29, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:8-13, 2 Corinthians 6:2, Revelation 22:17, etc.)

I’m a govt. contracts manager. USASpending.gov can give you some details on their contracts but when your tech is very good it is possible to dominate the market. The contracts probably go out to bid every 5 years. At this point Palantir has a strong reputation and likely a documented history of success in this particular type of work. Therefore, they are viewed as a lower risk by the contracting officers (CO) who make the selections and award. Even if their price is higher, a CO can justify the award as a better value to the govt. because their strong history of success and market dominance outweighs the risk of choosing a different firm that may not be as established or have as good of a technical solution.
Also should note that the spending details on their contracts might not be in the database due to “national security.”
Not live and at societal scale. If you pull through the Wendy’s drive through (just don’t- you should love yourself too much to do that to your body), the Feds will know immediately, and maybe your Medicare file will be reviewed. If you walk into a Home Depot, they will know. Maybe you’re buying “too much” lumber, and now you get a visit from the city building inspector.
Old school facial recognition was about taking a closed circuit surveillance system and identifying a criminal after a crime. It took human resources and time, and was limited to events reported by the public as crimes. What Palantir offers is a Panopticon that any government (or corporation) can subscribe to to get live data on everyone all the time.

Would never have bought PLTR w/o the information you gave us plus the other source as PLTR has some of the worst ‘numbers’ I’ve seen since the “Dot Com” crash. Am well aware that these aggressive growth stocks have weak ‘numbers’ and are high-risk investments … that’s why I always shied away from them. Stalking.
The transfer or altering of any image, likeness, voice, biometrics, personally identifiable information… from one provider to another entity without the consent of the one being searched, seized, or recorded without warrant authorized by a judge.
Incidents of usage or transfer of such should be punishable as slander, identity persecution, defamation, and theft of one’s personal effects and there should be no cost to the victim to pursue and prosecute.
Only exceptions is when ones likeness is recorded in the process of a crime and even then… one should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
The handing of cell phone data, social media posts, association lists, voice records, biometrics data… should be regarded and handled with the utmost security as our medical records and our discussions with our clergy should be. Confidential.
As one who had her daughters GPA adversely affected by a school altering her assignments scoring AFTER she left the district (she left in June… I have emailed evidence of them altering her scores in August for assignments conducted in the preceding Spring)… it is character and credibility assassination forced by political and religious persecution and evil agenda. They were actively preventing my daughter her right to a free and proper education and actively preventing her from her ability to enter into collegiate academia by altering her GPA.
They shouldn’t include her vaccination record on her high school transcripts either… but they do…unfettered. For those institutions of higher learning who review that and see she’s not “brought to you by Pfizer”… will an admissions department discriminate? You betcha.
What the law doesn’t catch… God will.
Our persons belong to us. The right to use our access to telephone service… especially in times of emergency to contact local authorities… does not entitle the carrier or apps within the right to acquire, collect, and disseminate information other than for its intended purpose and that right is not transferable without the expressed written consent of the person being surveiled, data farmed, stolen from.

Get off Grid, Become self sufficient as possible, do not travel by air or rail or anything with a ticket.
Have an older car, or have a mechanic son who will take the SIM card out of your cars computer, as he has his own.
Take up short wave communication, and listening. There is a world of content out there without the cable.

My biggest fear with AI is spiritual. Fertile ground for demons or the fallen? Daniel 11:38 gives me pause;

Thus shall he do in the most strongholds with a strange god whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory and he shall cause them to rule over many,…” Could AI be the “strange god?”
Here’s the problem. Once data goes into generative or agentic AI, it’s there FOREVER. DOGE-collected data is very likely in the “Colossus” data center, and that data is stored immutably and permanently on the infrastructure AI runs on. In the process of identifying wasteful spending, one should assume DOGE vacuumed data on citizens, businesses and other countries. This is a topic people (including yours truly) were chastised for raising — it was deemed heretical to question the methods of DOGE.
The genie is out of the bottle and the President won’t be able to put it back in…once he gets around to it.

You have this AI recognizing system. It’s flawless. But you’ve got the console issuing directives. You tell it your next-door neighbor is a “wanted dead or alive guy” and within minutes a bounty hunter or law enforcement rushes in to kill your neighbor.
Due process? Don’t need it! Verification? Why? It’s 100% accurate all of the time! (and if it’s not, the vendor will absolutely COVER IT UP because it will interfere with their business)
And realID is the nightmare people fear it is and the sneeches are lining up to get STARS on their bellies. I’ve got a passport. When that’s not good enough, not sure how I will respond.
