As a Californian, I noticed with gratitude, when POTUS, Melania, and Gov. Abbott were talking one by one with several of the area’s first responders and community members, that when Melania extended her hand to each, and each extened his in return, all the men removed either their caps or their helmets.
It’s a gesture of respect for women and ladies that one sees still in the Midwest and South that one doesn’t see in California. We’re pigs in so many ways.

Side note…am noticing more and more young men holding a door for ladies…a good feeling…am always vocal in my thank you. So there is hope…(am in the midwest).
The Interstate highways and massive infrastructure around our cities make it impossible, but in the more rural areas of Texas, people still pull their vehicles to the shoulder of the road, men place their hats/caps over their hearts, while women place their hands over their hearts, too, when a funeral procession passes by!

We are living in a Golden Age of compassionate leadership from 47 and FLOTUS. Many asked “why didn’t they go down there sooner?” As a former military pilot I can state unequivocally that the flight restrictions and the impact of POTUS arriving during a rescue operation would negatively impact those needing help.
The timing was perfect and represents calm and compassionate (empathetic) leadership!
Donald Trump has been blessed with a good woman. We are blessed Americans to have both of them fighting for America.
Yesterday afternoon.there were about 50 of us in Kerrville who stood at the bridge on the Guadalupe on Hwy 16, hoping to get a glance of the Presidential motorcade. We were there about 30 miuutes when we spotted and heard police sirens. The motorcade entered the park through the dog park enrrance. Several minutes later, we waited for them to pass by us. However,when they got to the bridge,instead of passing by and going under they took a steep left turn and climbed directly towards us. We saw the limo with the presidential seal, and could hardly believe it, President Trump had his window opened and waved at us! What a lovely surprise! I felt so honored to see him, however briefly. A moment in my life, well deserved as I pray for him daily. I didn’t see Malania in the car, but said a prayer of gratitude for her presence here in Texas, at this very long painful week. Blessed!
