For those who have spent time in the lead up to this moment, you may remember our warning that Elon Musk would eventually take a position against President Trump and actively work to undermine the MAGA agenda therein.
Tonight as the Senate debates the Big Beautiful Bill, that does not include subsidies for his electric vehicles and green energy initiatives, Elon Musk promises to organize a third party. This was all predictable.

The bill is imperfect, yes. However, the BBB contains the priorities of President Trump and those priorities are the goals and objectives of the people who voted to support his vision. Elon Musk is now actively working against the interests of the Make America Great Again movement, and he is intent on dividing the MAGA coalition.
Sometime around April of 2026 (approx. 15 months), if not sooner, Elon Musk will be in opposition to Donald Trump and demanding people choose.

While I’m at it, I guess I’ll add one other concern that others have already mentioned: Is Elon petty enough to go against his own stated loathing of censorship and start censoring conservatives on X again?
After his loathsome petty accusations against Trump, not to long ago, for no valid reasons, I’m guessing yes. As a friend I’d say he is completely untrustworthy. As a leader of a third party even more so.
Yeah, that’s what scares me. I think X and its Community Notes function has been critical for debunking Democrat talking points and letting the average person know that it’s actually okay to disagree with them. Despite its flaws, I think uncensored X has given people courage to stop being so quiet. It’s such an influential platform that I’d hate to see it go dark again.

Since Elon makes it clear he hates the BBB because everything he fought for in DOGE has already been stripped from it–or forced into a 60 vote auto-fail threshold by the unelected Obama appointed crazy cat lady we pretend is somehow a “Senate Parliamentarian” (an office the Constitution knows nothing about)–it’s a safe bet he’s far closer to being a conservative than any sort of “progressive.” Being mad about too much wasteful government spending used to be a GOP position, you might recall… :/
True, and I can understand Elon being disappointed about the seemingly inadequate outcome of all his DOGE work. I confess to being pretty mad about it myself. But then I started feeling better because I heard a lot of the DOGE cuts were going to start being resolved using targeted rescissions after the BBB passed. We get one rescission per year, I think? (here’s where my political chops fail me…I don’t have a strong grasp on budgets/rescissions. and the procedural ins and outs.)
But if Elon is so used to the speed of business and is too impatient to wait for the government turtles to crawl his way, I hope you end up being right that he is fundamentally conservative and manages to reign in some of his impulses.

That brings up another thought I’ve been mulling over. I understand from people who have loved ones with Asperger’s that they have to extend a great deal of grace. But is there a limit? Is that limit different if they aren’t family? I don’t know anyone with Asperger’s, so I’m wondering at what point it starts being an unacceptable excuse for someone’s words and actions, if at all. Does Elon get infinite slack, or have we already reached the tipping point with him?
As someone who loves another person with Asperger’s I can tell you without reservation there is no limit to the grace I will extend to them.
As far as others with Asperger’s. . . I’ve seen the struggle, the ups and downs, the foot-in-mouth demands that turn into sorrowful apologies, the expressionless faces, the failure to recognize more than two emotions, and much more that those who suffer with it (even if they do not realize they, too, are suffering with and from it) go through.
Because of that, I would give even the worst jerk a great deal of grace.
Thank you for responding to my questions on this. I guess the issue then becomes less about grace and more about trust. Sort of a “forgive and understand” but maybe avoid putting either them or yourself in a position that might cause both of you irreparable harm. I can’t figure out why the Federal government, with all of these so-called expert employees, never seem to solve our country’s problems. By the way, I am ultra MAGA, but it feels like nothing is getting done lately. The foreign affairs don’t matter much when our domestic problems seem to be stalled.

I have trouble separating the foreign affairs from the domestic, myself. Is it even possible to resolve our domestic problems when so many foreign fingers are pulling strings and influencing both parties? Seems like Trump is trying to do just that: neutralize enough of that foreign influence to give our domestic policies a fighting chance to succeed. He has some tricky juggling to do.
I am thoroughly disappointed to realize how many politicians and Federal Government officials are so corrupt that they put the love of money and power over love for America and us honest and loyal citizens.

I really don’t see where the domestic problems are stalled at all. For someone who’s ultra MAGA I’d think that was obvious. I don’t understand where that notion comes from, that foreign affairs are taking time away from domestic problems. Even if all you look at is Trump’s personal attention it’s obvious he’s not neglecting any domestic problems. There are stories every day about what government departments are doing and nothing stops in departments concerned with domestic issues just because there are international issues and his State Dept is handling everything very well, his economic team and peace envoy’s are doing an incredible job.
When you look at the what’s being accomplished all at once foreign and domestic, saying domestic is suffering because of foreign involvement seems like a made up scenario.

I like this site I enjoy the free thought Articles. If we want things to change we need to stop playing team politics. It has always been a divide and conquer method used by the British for over a century. I know we are on team red here , but it is impossible to look at a 5 trillion dollar bill and assume it is not jam packed with a massive amount of pork. This is not what I voted for.
AND the last I heard, illegals will not be kicked off Medicaid. But my friend’ dtr found out today her three kids will be kicked off. The youngest is a vegetable because of losing oxygen when she was a baby. Two older ones suffer psychological problems and effects of fathers using drugs (in sperm) and fathers using them as sex toys and other stuff. Two older ones will never be normal and will never do anything like drive. One has epilepsy too. I don’t know how many times I have heard it said that Medicaid would not be cut for people who needed it, only the ones who did not qualify or the illegals.
Those three children should be eligible for Social Security Disability SSDI which includes Medicaid coverage, 3X!

The Country is screwed NO MATTER WHAT unless there is a renaissance of some kind. 3, 5, 10 trillion isn’t really the issue. None of it is sustainable and I think everyone with a brain knows this. The one hope I see is Trump’s team sees a potential “golden age” that could turn America back into a powerhouse like after WW II. Massive income growth and the tax receipts that it will generate, plus continued tariffs could be the only thing that’ll work. At some point politicians will have to make spending cuts and painful ones, but maybe not as painful if the whole population has more income than they do now. A rising tide lifts all ships. And splitting the party isn’t going to get truly fiscally conservative people in office. Maybe in a decade or two a third party could rise but what happens in the meantime? We need to stick with MAGA and see this through to the end…. a happy ending hopefully. Lots of the spending cuts CAN NOT happen anyway in this bill if I understand the rules correctly. That (all the DOGE stuff) will have to happen in the next go round. Maybe someone else here can explain the rules that apply to different types of budget bills.

There’s a lot of hoopla about the debt ceiling. Seems like someone should run the numbers. If debt today is x (something like 37T) and it increasing at a certain rate per day, then it seems necessary to slow increase before one sees a decline in the actual debt. This is because a lot of spending is based on commitments to spend. If one imposes a hard limit at our debt level, the cuts would be draconian. Smarter to manage it. Interest rate reductions and tariffs have their role to play. What’s PDJT’s soft landing plan? It would seem to me this would quiet the debt ceiling guys, if that is truly their objection….
I think Elon thinks he’s more popular than he is. To give him credit his DOGE work was awesome. No idea what his motivations are but if they are not MAGA then he won’t get anywhere. Trump is proven and trusted.

You just have to wonder what the hell Elon was thinking. He sat and talked, one on one, with President Trump daily, for months! The one thing nobody can say about President Trump is that he holds back his opinions…about anything! i’m fairly certain that he knew exactly what President Trump was planning… And he’s mad now?! Did he think that President Trump wouldn’t go through with canceling the EV mandate?
Why is it that the people with the most money — the millionaire-billionaire class — live the entirety of their remaining lives pursuing with reckless abandon even more millions and billions?
This is a serious question. What is the psychology behind this? Why are they so driven to amass so much more than they could ever need? Are they the most unhappy people on earth, never able to achieve what they want? Do they never achieve a belief that they have been so far successful in life, instead believing they have been failures?
Having myself spent an adult life in the “professional” class, earning salaries likely in the top 90-95% of wage earners, and losing most all of it in the bizarre world of divorce, I have since become what some call a “minimalist,” and I’ve never been happier or more secure with myself.
I do not understand for one second the human drive for more and more wealth. Didn’t someone once say that money is the root of all evil? I agree 100%, and believe the invention of “money” by humanity was the signing of its own death warrant. “Follow the money” is not only the key to solving any and all financial-linked crimes, it is without doubt the basis of almost all societal problems we currently face.
I wish us luck, because it just seems like the insanity and depravity of action all around us is accelerating.
In Trump I’ll trust
There is such a thing as being right for the wrong reasons. We do need an alternative to uniparty politics. Most of the reason Trump has to fight so hard is half the Senate Republicans are basically Democrats.

When Ross Perot launched the REFORM Party, he was seen as a family man and a man of Principle. He almost made it happen had he had the Internet at the time.
If Elon creates a 3rd party all he will be known is his public fits, his erratic behavior such as being high or dating a married Women, like Amber Turd (look it up). He will be remembered as a man who supported than attacked Donald Trump in the span of less than a year.
He has antagonized the Leftists and alienated MAGA. Let him try his 3rd Party, all it will do is just be a money suck.
