I am reminded of something I heard from Victor Davis Hanson years ago. It was his assessment of his expanded knowledge of history of governments, societies and war (power and control) throughout history…
It is essentially, a weaker force can and will exert it’s power and authority over a much stronger force until the stronger force finally rises up and decides to crush the weaker force.
It appears to be a repeated theme throughout history.
I believe what we are witnessing and living through is a repeat of that history. The much stronger Nationalist force (We the People) are finally rising up to reclaim power and control from the much weaker Globalist force (totally corrupt political establishment, corrupt media establishment and their elite funders/enablers).
President Trump said exactly that 26 days before the 2016 election, “Our movement is about replacing a failed and totally corrupt political establishment with a new government controlled by you, the American people.”
The Big Dog is finally rising up and stomping out the much weaker but constantly yapping and posing little dog.
And what we’ve got to manage to do is to “rise up” without resorting to violence. There’s nothing wrong with our system of governance as Constitutionally described. And, many of our laws are decent, too. But we do not respect nor enforce them. And, corruption {m-o-n-e-y} has certainly devastated everything.
I guess using business language it could be equated to a “non-hostile takeover”.
We want the company to remain in tact. We want it to continue operating. We need and want the good employees to keep working so the company can continue its day to day operations. We need the customers to have confidence that after a short period of bumps in the road, the company will ultimately be better than before.
We just need to take over the boardroom. The boardroom has been skimming from the employees and screwing the customers for far too long. They are running the company into the ground. It’s unsustainable. The employees are working their asses off with very little in return. Meanwhile, the corrupt board members have been living high on the hog. Their removal is necessary but needs to be done slowly and steadily in order to keep any adverse impact to an absolute minimum.
Right now the entire old corrupt boardroom (corrupt DC pols, and their corrupt media and financial enablers) is in the process of destroying themselves. They are on public display for the entire world to see. What a spectacular display! You couldn’t have gamed it out any better. Sen. Chuck Schumer is now a Palestinian? Hilarious!
Slow and steady wins this race.
Speaking of screwing the employees…from a recent ZH article.
This is mostly a function of efficiency.
Take a car assembly line of the 70’s. Hundreds of workers on each line putting a car together.
Today, there are only tens of workers because of robotics etc.
I doubt any Treeper wants to give up technology and go back to manual labour way of doing things.
p.s. One reason why so many companies can bring back manufacturing to the US (despite higher wages than, say, SE Asia) is because labour costs per unit, are nowadays much lower than they used to be. Add to that the logistical advantages, and lower transport and import costs of manufacturing locally, the olden days benefits (to a company) of manufacturing overseas no longer apply.
But don’t expect assembly lines of hundreds of people again.
Get rid of those in the boardroom who look at the company as a “cash cow”.
Concur absolutely on non-violent but have sincere questions:
1. How do you propose to stop evil people? Not party — evil.
2. How do you propose to dissaude people from continuing evil behavior?
3. How do you get good people to actually get off TV/the ball game to actually give a damn and participate in your answers?
Note that answers having to do with term limits and local organizing are ideal but not workable answers, as they are impossible to implement.
These are serious and sincere questions. Attempting to find anybody with any answers/solutions in a small county is proving almost impossible. Nobody wants to talk about it, preferring to blame Biden or California etc
“What can we do in this county where we live?” is a nigh-on impossible question to discuss.
Result seems to be nothing will happen until bad times kick down the door, which results in violence.
So, this is a serious topic in my mind. We should be smart enough here to devise solutions. I’d truly like to hear them.

As long as you summarily reject answers, you won’t find solutions. As long as you look for a single action to solve big issues, you will also fail. These aren’t the specific answers you seek – but they are ones that should be seriously contemplated.

A good example is what coastal North Carolinas did last week. Look up articles on NC House bill 442 to ban shrimp trawling. They showed up in Raleigh and kicked butt. It was historical and a very loud message to the corrupt NC Senate. The people are awake and they are pissed.
What does this example have to do with a weaker evil for e overcoming the strong good force? Read the beginning of the thread.
What you reference sounds like great worm but explain how it applies.

Pressler does great work. He is one man and I assume a team. But thats only one man. We need 50 of ‘em.
By “local organizing” Im talking about the guys proposing to organize local and over the course of 20 yrs maybe change things. Most of us will be dead.

…and yet examples abound of them working – even the ones you feel may take too long. The fact their effectiveness has varied doesn’t mean the methods can’t work, as some have shown they can. It does likely mean they haven’t actually been done by enough people or properly in some cases. Truth is, part of the reason is because enough people weren’t even cognizant of what was really going on – and that is a silver lining at this point in time, there are a lot more people that are more aware now.
Yes, Scott is one man who through example and effort has organized multiple groups, teaching each one how to make positive changes. Each of them teach others and so the knowledge and efforts spread.
Instead of saying things don’t work, get involved and use the examples of success to do the same. Be one of the many and make a difference where you are. Pick something you can do – and do it, however minor it might seem.
In regards to your general question regarding evil, it will exist until after Christ returns. The best we can do is try to minimize its scope. Part of doing that is to make the consequences for people pursuing that path greater than the potential benefits. Part of that is praying. Part of it is speaking out against it. Part of it is working to bring people to Christ and working to teach those younger than ourselves the skills they will need and the knowledge that will help them to do the same. There is not a single action or person or group that will solve it all and it all won’t be solved in an instant, just as it didn’t get to the point it is in an instant or a month or a year.
You’re right, many of us may not be around by the point it will take to fix some things – but hopefully we can make things better for those that come behind us – as well as make things better for all of us in the interim. The only sure way to lose is to give up or not try.
Bottom line, it takes leadership and a moral people. History has shown us the seven deadly steps which lead to a decaying society. Learn those steps and act to correct them. Small positive steps lead to big changes. We’re on the road,.

She is paying the cost with her altered GPA – which I contend was never factored correctly as woke teachers and administration refused me access to her work for tutoring assistance. I 100% believe their grading was subject… rather than quantitative and qualitative. They are choosing who will be successful… and who will be ruined for not playing their games.

Actually there’s a whole bunch of articles coming out right now about how AI is actually functioning and I’m grateful because it’s not ready for prime time at all. It is definitely in the BBB. The House of Representatives put it in and now the senate concurs on this assault on the 10th Amendment.

This would be some kind of interpretation of specific provisions. Which provisions and why and how. If you posted these parts before, then I assume you have them handy to do so again.

The BBB puts restrictions on state regulations of AI in order to have federal supremacy in this area, and not force AI developers, including start-ups, to have to comply with all kinds of different regulatory stuff from various states, including states like Califormia, which passes all kinds of garbage.
So here’s an example. Legislators in several states are up in arms because their various drafts of bills banning “AI child porn” will not be able to be passed. But these states already have laws against child porn and regulating AI’s ability in this regard would be akin to making pen manufacturers liable for drawings of child porn, or gun manufacturers liable for crimes committed by guns.
This in no way stops: regulation by the federal government, or future amendments to this bill if/when that becomes necessary (versus speculative).
No one is “selling off our Constitutional protections”. I caution not to promulgate hysteria from third party pundits and articles. They are often wrong, or pushed by individuals with ulterior motives, if only to get clicks or keep talking on teewee.

Yes… its here and it’s been here for a couple years now. Entities like Duke and AES are price gouging constituents for kW hours while co-op nonprofit entities have seen negligible changes to their electricity bills. Experience it first hand and it’s a topic of frequent discussion.

OH CANADA: What is really going on in Canada? It just levied $2 billion in retroactive taxes on American tax companies. Meanwhile it is giving China $1 billion to help it compete with Canadian shipbuilders. Earlier this year it executed four Canadian nationals and levied billions in tariffs between 25-100%. You’d think Canada would be a lot nicer to the US than China – the only thing I can think of is that its leaders are under Chinese control.

Concerning the use of AI:
This past school year the ELA (English) teachers and the administration were pushing the use of AI. To come up with lessons and to edit students’ papers.
However, to their credit the Social Studies and Science teachers were opposed to use of AI by students, banning it from being used by students, alongside with banning Google and Wikipedia as sources. These teachers stated the numerous errors found in AI generated articles.
In addition, my college daughter did a research project for Computer Science where she had to compare AI generated data to reputable source. She compared the list of Oscar winning best pictures generated by AI to source on the Academy Awards website. AI spectacularly failed, listing roughly 2/5 of the movies wrong – in wrong order, not winners, and wrong years listed.

How about the farmers pick up the cost of insurance for their workers and their families? How about no welfare benefits for these families? How about these illegal entrants pay back the entitlements they and their families have received curtesy of the taxpayers?

If these illegals had to pay for car insurance, medical insurance, their car, their phone, their lodging like their legal citizen counterparts; they wouldn’t be able to afford to live here anymore. It’s not an issue that they are doing jobs Americans won’t do. They are raking in freebies and living off the taxpayers. That’s how they can do jobs Americans won’t do. They won’t either if the players no field is leveled
I feel like President Trump assumes too easily that there are jobs Americans won’t/can’t do, and that’s why we need to keep illegal aliens on the payroll. People said that about meatpacking businesses — and yet, the minute ICE raided a Nebraska meatpacking company, they were immediately flooded with applications from US citizens and legal immigrants. The factory jobs in Springfield that were reserved for the Haitians were jobs that locals said they tried to apply for and were turned away. And how many hotel jobs used to be done by college students?
Sometimes it means paying what the job is worth — instead of paying low-ball wages to illegals who are being subsidized by govt programs for food, housing, medical, etc. Same with H1B workers — tech companies bypass our own tech grads and workers because H1Bs are cheaper, and are easier to control. PT seemed to understand that when he campaigned in 2016, and brought people onstage who had been laid off and forced to train their foreign replacements. I wish he would replay his speeches from that time.
