I am so tired of her little attempts at virtue signaling. She does not know the meaning of inequality and definitely, is unacquainted with true poverty, for all her stunts at the border wall.
My own short, compared to others, experience of living in the Panama Canal Zone where we could walk across the border and not worry…yet it was a country run by a true military dictator, who knew to behave himself along with the Presidente of Panama (too many American military to risk trouble).
The rank poverty in an area called Curundu and elsewhere…open drainage ditches where sewage flowed freely back then, with an unimaginable stench…(1970’s)…babies and toddlers running around, fully naked…the lucky one’s had diapers…water was by hand pump…their homes were quonset hut pieces made into a shelter of sorts. And six months of the year, it rained every day, from 1130 am to about 2-230pm…90 degrees and 90% humidity….
I used to ask my dad that with the US people so close (but on the other side of the fence)…how could we let that happen…dad told me that “we don’t interfere with other country’s issues” end of story, ‘don’t go there’….Fast forward, things have changed some now and its a better life for those people now…but the things I saw have stayed with me for over 55 years….

Aggie I’ve been reading here for 9 or 10 years but with periodic reading, and not posting till 5 or 6 years ago, I never heard your story.
I always wanted to think that my government’s policy was your dad’s.
But it wasn’t. I’m ashamed that I didn’t realize it until the Marxists and communists had a grip on every American institution.
There is still time and we all need to do our part to banish these demons.
I drop pieces of my story now and then…
I was 11 at the time…Dad was a merchant marine and took a job on the canal so he could be home every night…I have lots of stories…but this one stayed with me all these years…
It happened shortly after we arrived there…as a suburban stateside kid, in 1970, I was appalled at the conditions, (a month prior, I had been playing Barbies with my BFF in FL and then I saw this)…on the American side, manicured green lawns and on the other side of the border fence, a different scenario.
We were there during tense times, Panama wanted the Canal and negotiations had yet to start. My dad knew someone with foreign policy inside info and was told things would change soon…he was prepping me for not voicing opinions….or ‘mind my own business’.
I learned early on…how truly great America is and how blessed we really are. And Panama was not as poverty stricken as other places in the world, but it stayed with me….

Am wondering in July, when President Trump has said will be when the tariff negotiations with various nations will mostly be completed and that other nations will simply get a letter informing them of the tariff amounts they will be required to pay – is this when President Trump pushes Congress to enact an External Revenue Service piece of legislation so that the Treasury Dept. will have the tools it needs to collect, receive, document the incoming tariff proceeds?

I think Trump is going for any fixes to the BBB in the reconciliation bill. BUT he needs the BBB to fulfill campaign promises that cannot be pushed through reconciliation.
This bill was never intended to solve the debt crisis. CFP is creating a straw issue. Supporting a RINO like Ron Johnson is not a good look for them. He changed his vote last night only because he saw that the bill was going to pass with his no vote because VP JD Vance was there to break the 50-50 tie. Johnson needs to be primaried out.
Unfortunately the need to counter the Democommunist lockstep voting culture, the Uniparty, and with our nation on the brink of totalitarian Democommunism, compromises must be made to survive.
The BBB is one of those compromises.

‘Heinous’: 2 dead, others injured after firefighters were ambushed responding to fire
Two people are dead after firefighters were ambushed by a gunman, or multiple gunmen, while responding to a brush fire in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, officials said.
Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris said during a press briefing that the number of others injured in the attack and ongoing fire is unknown.
The two fatalities are believed to be fire personnel, Norris said.
