@sundance and all treepers here me out on this theory… perhaps we have all been played and gaslit by the greatest tv showman of all time PDJT just like P.T. Barnum who came up with “The Greatesr Show On Earth.” Trump stressed from the beginning that this action by the US was to stop Iran from getting the nuclear weapon. Trump attacked 3 known nuclear strikes. Perhaps 47 gave the Iranians maybe a 48 hours heads up through back channels that he would attack those three nuke sites and that the Iranians should get their people out and whatever they needed. The Iranians got their people and important equipment out of those sites before the attack. So basically those attacks were on empty buildings. This way is good for Trump because he saves face when he said that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and he also said that no more attacks on Iran only on those 3 nuclear sites, Trump also soothes the egos and blood thirst of the neocons on the Left and Right in the Senate and CONgress and gets his BBB passed because of the support from those bloodthirsty neocons and friends of Israel in CONgress. Iran told the U.S. through the backchannels when, where, and how they would retaliate so no one on the U.S. side gets hurt, and Iran told the U.S. to let Israel know to back off or else the missiles will continue into Israel, Bibi gets his wish to have the U.S. attack the nuke sites but Bibii wants more and 47 will not give Bibi anymore action from the U.S. Trump looks like a tough guy, a strong president and a hero at home and abroad. It’s great tv action with everyone and their grandmother on all sides hyperventilating and getting all bent out of shape with doom and gloom that the world is coming to an end talking scenario. The U.S. military, Israeli, and Iranian militaries all look good in this scenario. Russia and China are happy that there is no more escalation and Russia can go back to just focusing on Ukraine, and China can go back to running out the clock on tariffs and not worrying about the Straights of Hormuz, and the world doesn’t have to worry about WW3 and high oil and gas prices. Everyone gets what they wanted in this movie written, shot, produced, and directed by PDJT. Sounds like a Trump style happy ending better than a Hollyweird ending?
It has already been confirmed that Iran was warned ahead of time and we have sat photos of trucks (largely dump trucks) there prior to the shelling. There are even questions on whether the B2s even went to Iran as the damage at Fordow appears to be Tomahawk not MOP. Which is fine, if true.
The problem with the theory that this was a show of strength is that the entire world no knows it was just a show and Iran allowed it to happen to give Trump an off-ramp. Strength has to be actual strength not a performative dance for it to be convincing.
The amount of treaty damage, diplomatic damage, internal MAGA damage and sheer physical damage to the two nations are the costs of putting on the show as well as the cost of Iran’s nuke program now being undercover and the uranium hidden.
Was it worth it? We’ll see. The balance sheet really needs some serious help on the asset side. And it remains to be seen whether Trump can withstand all the future pressure to continue to intervene, which is sure to come.
