The frustration with the Rand Paul and Thomas Massie political opposition is understandable. However, this approach by President Trump comes with the possibility of a backfire.

He is disrespectful to our great military, and all that they stand for, not even acknowledging their brilliance and bravery in yesterday’s attack, which was a total and complete WIN. Massie should drop his fake act and start putting America First, but he doesn’t know how to get there — he doesn’t have a clue!

(VIA AXIOS) – President Trump’s political operation has launched an aggressive effort to unseat Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, its first such effort to defeat a sitting Republican incumbent, Axios has learned.
Trump’s $500 million political apparatus is the most powerful, well-funded force in American politics — and gives Trump a weapon with which to target any lawmaker who crosses him.
Trump’s team has launched Kentucky MAGA, a super PAC devoted to defeating Massie in the May 2026 primary.
The organization will be run by Trump’s senior political advisers, Tony Fabrizio and Chris LaCivita.
LaCivita said the PAC would spend “whatever it takes” to defeat Massie.

For me Israel is an issue of faith not politics. I few it from God’s written word perspective. There are innumerable examples of God’s displeasure with Israel, but, even when His Word leads nations to defeat and exile Israel, He has exterminated those nations when they over extended.
One’s view of God and one’s faith determines one’s views regarding Israel. The big picture is all this moves us along the timeline which a sovereign God determines. I will never become antisemitic. Only a fool goes against God’s chosen people, but all nations will and only Israel survives. That’s not to say all of Israel’s actions are right, but, I won’t touch Israel with a ten foot pole. Those that did were extinguished. That’s why all need God’s guidance in dealing with Israel because even if Israel does wrong, they are still under God’s direct protection. Trump is the last MAGA politician that will have any gravitas. He might as well toss a few bombs at the GOP while he can.
So what good is the guy to the MAGA movement?
If he votes against everything Trump supports then he is just a Democrat in elephant clothing.
If Trump is acting like George W Bush, why shouldn’t Massie object?
Thankfully that isn’t happening.
This could also signal that Team Trump has judged that the state of the Democrats is such that he can afford to bleed a little political energy to tackle such ‘characters’ on the Republican side.
T. Massie has seen how well Rand Paul has been doing deceiving the “conservative/constitutionalist” base that he could not resist to try it for himself.
The key is to have those sporadic attacks of “principles” when they are against President Trump. Any other Republican or Democrat politician is perfectly safe from their exalted diatribes.

Speaker Johnson needs to strip him from all committees, for starters. He wants to be a lone duck (with Paul). Fine. Let him be alone. Complete his mission for him and at his bequest.

I’m getting confused here! I, for one, am a HUGE supporter of Rep. Massie; and of President Trump. He’s a great checks and balances guy, IMO. If we’re all going to whine like babies about nuances in our (MAGA) politics…we’ll end up just like our opposition (IMO again). Healthy debate and some disagreements are good for US. Period. Please make intelligent comments and think for yourself!! Thank you and God bless.
Massie’s one of the only good ones. If he has problems with the BBB, maybe it’s because it has a lot of problems – like a $2T deficit – if we’re lucky. Not to mention giving over $1T to the Defense Department which has failed every audit ever attempted.
Sure it can backfire BUT if you don’t try than you don’t achieve. No Pain, No Gain. At this point, President Trump has to swing for the fence at times. What is there to lose? Massie is no friend/vote for Trump. It has been stated on this site that Trump has no more Juice in the Senate. Maybe it is time to show just how much Juice Trump has left. The current problems for the US are not going to be solved by being timid.
I like the idea of starting to MAGA-tize the House and the Senate. I don’t want to see the RNC involved though unless President Trump makes that organization solid MAGA. We have to be done with Republicans as clones of John McCain.
you’re right and the massive problems the GOP has is partially due to their cowardice.
Keep second guessing until Massie falls inline out of fear and then we start hearing “I’ve been with Trump since the escalator” “very stable genius” etc….
Perhaps it’s as simple as letting pursuit of perfection prevent something that’s possible. I cringe at the insults but recognise there’s a purpose as time is ticking and much needs to be done.
