The frustration with the Rand Paul and Thomas Massie political opposition is understandable. However, this approach by President Trump comes with the possibility of a backfire.
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA, even though he likes to say he is. Actually, MAGA doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, and doesn’t respect him. He is a negative force who almost always Votes “NO,” no matter how good something may be. He’s a simple minded “grandstander” who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling “DEATH TO AMERICA” at every chance they get.
Iran has killed and maimed thousands of Americans, and even took over the American Embassy in Tehran under the Carter Administration. We had a spectacular military success yesterday, taking the “bomb” right out of their hands (and they would use it if they could!) but, as usual, and despite all of the praise and accolades received, this “lightweight” Congressman is against what was so brilliantly achieved last night in Iran.
Massie is weak, ineffective, and votes “NO” on virtually everything put before him (Rand Paul, Jr.), no matter how good something may be. He is disrespectful to our great military, and all that they stand for, not even acknowledging their brilliance and bravery in yesterday’s attack, which was a total and complete WIN. Massie should drop his fake act and start putting America First, but he doesn’t know how to get there — he doesn’t have a clue!
He’ll undoubtedly vote against the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill, even though non-passage means a 68% Tax Increase for everybody, and many things far worse than that. MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague! The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard. MAGA is not about lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians, of which Thomas Massie is definitely one. Thank you to our incredible military for the AMAZING job they did last night. It was really SPECIAL!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.” (LINK)
(VIA AXIOS) – President Trump’s political operation has launched an aggressive effort to unseat Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, its first such effort to defeat a sitting Republican incumbent, Axios has learned.
Trump’s $500 million political apparatus is the most powerful, well-funded force in American politics — and gives Trump a weapon with which to target any lawmaker who crosses him.
Trump’s team has launched Kentucky MAGA, a super PAC devoted to defeating Massie in the May 2026 primary.
The organization will be run by Trump’s senior political advisers, Tony Fabrizio and Chris LaCivita.
LaCivita said the PAC would spend “whatever it takes” to defeat Massie.
Plans for taking on Massie were in the works before the congressman decided to call Trump’s attack on Iran unconstitutional, a Trump aide said. (more)

Massie has always been a Desantis weasel
Massie and Paul are about the only guys left in the legislative branch worth supporting. Considering how Trump appears to have drifted into the neoconservative circle of influence, it’s only fitting that he would attack some of the only guys in congress worth their salt. To say I am disappointed is certainly an understatement. It’s nauseating to see the praise heaped upon Trump today by the likes of John Bolton, Bill Kristol, David Frum, David French, Nikki Haley, etc., etc. The list is endless.
I don’t know who said it first, but the saying that comes to mind is, “We can vote for whoever we want, but we always end up with John McCain.”
LOL
This is serious?
Must be, 48 thumbs up.
Senators who do nothing to advance the wishes of the electorate, deserve to have their beds tipped over!
So you think you know better than the POTUS – eff off Brian the RINO!
Perhaps I should just “trust the plan”, eh?
All the politicians are attention whores regardless of their history.
one should always trust someone who is obviously
smarter with great vision than most of us
President Trump!
This is a bs statement
The guy made a reasonable argument and I would be willing to bet you can’t give any factual reason he’s wrong
Just weak a$$ name calling
All I can say is, Kentucky seems to like their contrarians. And if you have a reasonable alternative plan (which is never forthcoming), I wouldn’t mind hearing an opposing viewpoint.
Right (not).
As a constituent, I called Rand Paul’s office during covid, pleading with him to introduce legislation to ban mask and vaccine mandates for schools and federal workers. No response, of course, because he is a phony libertarian.
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 🙄
Anyone that thinks what DJT did with precision strikes to remove or seriously derail Iran’s nuke goals is similar to being a john McCain RINO is twisting the narrative. Intentionally or not i cannot say, but regardless they are missing the forest for the trees.
Do you even know Massie’s position on illegal immigration, the border, the wall, deportations, ICE funding, trade rebalancing, tariffs? And on foreign policy he votes with AOC and Omar. I live in his district. He’s a do nothing talker.
Massie is very popular in his district, dubious Congressional tactics notwithstanding. PDJT could be backing an embarrassing loser here.
Please. They both only take principled stands when it undermines the populist wing of the party. They support the GOPe every time their vote is needed.
Let’s not forget Paul did nothing to support Trump in his first term – he allowed no recess appointments.
Massie and Rand are grifters of the worst order.
Where was Massie the Libertarian when Joe Biden opened up our borders? Where was Massie the Libertarian during the COVID lockdowns? Massie was doing everything he could to help Joe Biden get everything he wanted that’s where.
No, it’s just the other way around.
Massie and Paul have drifted.
I’m disappointed in them.
Mitch seems to run who gets elected .
I beleive so too
I have often thought if I ever ran I’d have to vote no on nearly every bill because if all the crap slipped in
Prove me wrong
Depends on what you think salt is worth.
Don’t give us “the list is endless” bs! Those people are a small minority. But the whole left and their rabid antisemitic pals who claim to be conservative went apoplectic, spewing their venom raging at Trump. But you choose to ignore that.
So Trump has all the right enemies here, including corrupt Thomas Massie, who is a McConnel and Desanctimonious pal.
You have no idea what you are talking about, Brian. Or maybe you’re just a troll trying to divide MAGA.
Maybe you and some others here should listen the the video Sundance has bumped to the top of the list so you can sorta, maybe understand the big picture. Maybe?????
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/06/22/good-video-summary-of-president-trumps-focus-on-deconstructing-the-global-order/#more-273285
Massie is definitely a DeSantis weasel, but he also doesn’t reflexively deepthroat Israel’s or take AIPAC blood money. He has been remarkably consistent. Trump, on the other hand, promised no foreign entanglements and that he would deport every illegal, but has already broken his promise on the first and appears to be hedging on the second. When my taxes go up next year and the biomedical security state becomes more entrenched, the betrayal will be complete.
Blame the leader and not the assholes not doing their job. It is always that way. Cash is king..
What is his job?
The bill is mixed with good and bad items
I love PDT and don’t imaging we could ever find anyone with his skills that are right for the moment.
However good he is he’s not playing 10000d ches like many of you sycophants like to believe.
Operation warp speed and fauci and all the covid bs should be enough to settle this argument
Rand Paul took a much braver step than the President. I really don’t even like Rand Paul but take the blinders off
These two, Rand and Massie, they drive me nuts.
They can both be very good, they can be brilliant and just when you decide they are the best thing in DC, they go and pull a move that makes you want to scream.
They are both very high on the Pain In The Ass scale.
I believe, honestly, that they are controlled opposition and the disruptions outweigh the few times they are doing well.
I’m okay with trying to replace either one of them with someone solidly on our side.
We’re at a point now where it’s critical to team build to win more elections, and that sure isn’t going to happen with Rand or Thomas Massie.
Totally agree. I’ve been an ardent supporter of both when they first entered Kentucky politics. I applauded their “stand on principals”. The bigger decision now is how do we build a lasting coalition that will allow us to dismantle the ingrained swamp?
Prudence and obedience are the principals needed now.
Steve Hess lol. The “ingrained swamp” literally just got their way bombing Iran and continue to get their way as Ukraine fights on. The swamp found a wedge to split Trump from a significant portion of his base and that wedge is warmongerning.
They are becoming the sand in the gears, will they vote to impeach,,I say they are McConnell light
Why do you never hear these two named as big opposition when Dems are in control? And Lord knows they have been around when dems are in control. But somehow by just darn luck and Zeitgeist they are always a no when Republicans are on the move?🤔
There is no real opposition to the dems. Ever.
I like both Massie and Paul, but they haven’t persuaded their colleagues to adopt their principled positions. Unfortunately, that makes them gadflies.
On principle, Massie needs to be gone.
President Trump has to do this. From what I see Massie is pretend MAGA..a RINO. What is in the water in Kentucky?..really
It is the blue grass.
Or the water that turns the grass blue.🤣🤣
Too much branch Water.
Girl, don’t be a moron!
Massie is NOT a pretend MAGA or a RINO
Rep Massie is Libertarian
Most of us constitutes in the KY 4th are NOT Libertarian, but Rep Massie is seldom wrong on his controversial votes.
And he explains all his controversial votes on his House website. Spend some time and read them, especially the older explanations, you will still how often his timelines and expected bottom line results are spot on.
You’ll have a hard time making any headway with this “it’s not regime change crowd”
Got their pitchforks out
Yikes.
MAGA is currently undergoing a lot of internal discussions and contemplation.
Might not be a good idea using political power to oust Thomas Massie right now for voicing his opposition to Trump.
By the way, is this unconstitutional? A lot of people are saying that today. That Trump needed the approval of congress. If it is then that unfortunately adds more complexity to the situation.
Is Trump aware of the conversations going on? I’m assuming yes. So why would he decide to throw himself right into the pit of Thomas massie and make the conversation even LOUDER?
War Powers Act.
Well, let’s see…
President Truman ordered forces into Korea without congressional authorization, calling it a “police action”.
President Reagan used military force in Libya, Grenada, and Lebanon without a formal declaration of war.
President George H.W. Bush directed the invasion of Panama.
President Bill Clinton used military force in Iraq, Haiti, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Kosovo without congressional approval.
President Obama ordered airstrikes in Libya without seeking approval from Congress.
President Trump ordered missile strikes against a military base in Syria without seeking congressional approval.
So, there’s that.
I’m also sure the MSM and Democrats would not have mention the U word if President Harris had authorised the first targeted drone strikes on US soil, against dangerous Rightwing forces, ‘threatening the Republic’. in fact I’m sure the coven at ‘The View’ would have been demanding that support for such an action became the regime’s new litmus test for loyalty, whilst angrily denouncing those who even balked at the suggestion, hinting they might be next.
You saved me the trouble of writing this, which should be obvious to anyone paying attention to politics, history, or the news for the past 50 years. Thanks.
Trump informed Americans, and hence Congress, in less than the 48 hours required by that resolution. Done. And it limits troops to 60 days (on the ground theoretically). We were in and out within hours and never had “troops” other than in the airspace. Definitely not occupying any place. So it seems like Massey and others saying “unconstitutional” is a big stretch.
Suggest to scroll through this article and see the photo embedded that shows how many times the kenyan did things without CONgress approval.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/nancy-pelosi-spits-bile-trump-after-he-bombs/
Thanks!
I knew that this has been done so many times before but I guess I just never understood the unconstitutional piece of it.
Basically, yes it’s unconstitutional, and nobody has ever cared lol.
It still adds a layer of complexity though
He did not need permission from Congress. They should try reading the constitution.
Read this president trump isn’t the only one that took military actions without prior approval from congress President Donald J. Trump DID NOT DECLARE WAR!!! He authorized strikes against nuclear facilities!!! The president has the say over all, so president trump didn’t do nothing wrong but protect the American ppl & other countries citizens from weapons of mass destruction!!!
When in the history of the world was a bombingrun on not one, not two, but three nuclear sites a “limited military strike” ?
Well, Clinton bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan. Not very effective, but similar.
One mission, multiple targets, all military targets.
Since inception.
We didn’t bomb the entire country; we had set targets and limited our strikes to those — limited military strike.
Please…..”a lot of people are saying”…..
poppycock
many people shooting off their media mouths
does not define a fact
A lot of people could come out tomorrow and call the sky green and the grass blue, so we must follow along with them because they are a lot.
0bama didn’t need congressional approval to drone strike an American citizen without due process. Bill Clinton didn’t need congressional approval to bomb an aspirin factory.
Well, airstrikes have been ordered without declaring war in the past. Getting constitutional approval would not give us the benefit of a surprise attack. It would have jeopardized the safety of our pilots and the success of the operation.
Massie and Rand are important because they pull Congress toward the direction of fiscal discipline.
What did Massie do about that DURING O’BIDEN?
He voted the inflation reduction act out of committee and onto the floor. Where it passed.
How very fiscally responsible and conservative of him…
Is Massie’s district typically GOP? If it is, Massie could be a Democrat who runs as GOP since a Democrat is unlikely to win an election.
I’m KY4th, Rep Massie is a Libertarian, most of us in the 4th are socially and economically conservative republicans, w a splattering of Libertarians. 30% liberals are from the metro areas of Lexington and Louisville.
The only way to get Rep Massie out is when he decides he wants to no longer serve the KY4th district.
Never say never; conditions can change, so you just never know.
Not a F***ing Thing!
Never
Do they? Or are they like an anchor that keeps a ship from sailing? They both talk a lot, but never seem to offer solutions or introduce bills. You may be right but I don’t see them accomplishing anything. 🤷🏼
Eh, I’m not impressed by their actions (They talk good at times), and only when they know it won’t succeed, and only in front of a camera.
Tom, a PATRIOT, I thought I was alone in comprehending CONGRESS 101.
Thank you, thank you and thank you!!!!!
Lmao – if they allegedly pull party toward fiscal discipline- they are clearly major league Failures –
Massie also spoke out against AIPAC’s control over Congress. A week later, his wife dies under what seems to be mysterious circumstances. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
His wife had cancer for a long time well known we dont obfuscation with all the BS. Out there if you dont know dont say. Massie is a loser in a tiny district fooling lotsa folks he is in the scam just discreet. I cant stand him and will gladly see him go. No disrespect V.
Was that know locally because there is nothing in the internet to suggest this?
During the so-called Reconstruction, V.Dominique’s winning slogan would have been:
Forty acres and a mule, a chicken in every pot and a Jew under every bed.
When?
Mrs Sunshine, be careful, your logic will bring out the worst in people. Main reason I stopped posting on here.
Huh? You just “posted here”.
You’ve been and will be missed.
What logic?
They are both actors, not MAGA.
Really?
They helped to destroy this country under Biden.
no they don’t
they just obstruct
They are playing a role. They are bought and paid for like everyone else in Congress.
Exactly.
When?
I become very wary when someone – Trump – Will only surround himself with sycophants. Even if Massie is wrong, along with majority of Americans that don’t want to be involved in any foreign wars, even Israel’s, dissenting voices should be heard and even encouraged. Otherwise it’s just another echo chamber.
In Congress? Don’t be silly.
Show me who Obama/Biden surrounded themselves with. Was it people who hated them?
C’mon man!!! Don’t you remember all odumbo’s appointees and advisers were rock ribbed conservatives? Where you been?
where are you getting that from?
President Trump is well known for listening to all sides
however, when Massie tells a blatant lie – come on!
“The Dutch Boy”
While we ate,
the roosters cockled.
While we sang,
the lizards wormed.
While we slept,
the willows seeped.
When we spoke,
the trumpets blared.
When we feared,
the sirens rejoiced.
When we stood,
the levees broke.
Put back what’s right,
or run in fright.
The damage is done.
Mockers to left,
Jokers to right.
Don’t stop to weep,
The dutch boy runs.
Put back what’s right,
or run in fright.
The damage is not done.
Mockers to left,
Jokers to right.
Don’t stop to break,
The dutch boy here.
So why is Massie a Pushaw beach buddy, but not pro-Uke and pro-Zionist?
Equivalencies not in conflict, but in argument from the advocates. -SD
——————–
Hands down the best tweetable understanding of the IC dilemma in ages. Maybe ever.
First it clearly identifies the Why, then moves to the How before isolating the Problem. Even more important is it opens with the central fallacy of our nature.
Simple, basic psychology in a refined form.
Thank you Sundance for the Refuge. -mtk

Why -> Conflict
How -> Argument
Problem -> Advocates
Fallacy -> Equivalencies
This pattern of social behavior has been going on since we first started throwing sticks & stones at each other.
When are we ever going to learn?
It is our original sin that drives this cycle.
It not hard to fathom, that fear drives our emotions. Just as Joy does.
The mixed state of this duality is our daily struggle.
What’s seemly been lost.
What’s seemly in grasp.
These all are interchangeable states of our eternal exercise of choice.
Easily swapped in one form or another in the search of Joy and the lengths to avoid Fear.
What’s seemly found can easily be lost.
What’s has not been lost is easily found
These are all central to the what is called our original sin.
There is a single word to make sense of this.
That word is covet. -mtk
Our focus for unity and effectiveness both personally, community, and as a Nation – is acknowledging God as the author and source of wisdom to be our best selves. And for those who cannot yet acknowledge God as the source of Truth, then we should be deliberate, logical, and steadfast in our pursuit of truth: Use scientific method if you must, collective disciplined discussion, but have the humility to know that we are more powerful united than alone or divided.
Our enemy wants us in silos. We must serve each other, respect each other and tenaciously seek wisdom and truth.
Our founders did this, and with humility did not trust man or government to be the source of truth: Only God leading individuals. The mechanism of growth and stability in our Constitutional Republic assumes citizens who are honestly seeking God, growth, procreation, and betterment of our families and the world.
One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. It is possible to truly love and respect one another as human beings without compromising on our pursuit and understanding of Truth. It is possible to be set on standing for the Truth and still have the humility to know that neither we nor any other mortal have a full grasp of the Truth.
The spread of unity best happens one serving and respectful relationship at a time.
POTUS is not being kind to Massie, because Massie is clearly not seeking unity or the betterment of the country. He is not seeking national effectiveness. He is not listening to his constituents, but he and Rand are good at playing the game of being the wise stewards, while sabotaging our growth as a nation.
Massie is not offering solutions, only obstruction and building inefficiencies in our government.
Precisely.
Me thinks the Fear of Truth is driven by a Joy of Fear.
Me thinks the Joy of Truth is riven by a Fear of Joy.
When really pondered.
Every emotional state truly is just a manifestation of joy and fear.
Hate and Love which many would see as pure parts of our emotional being; are just choice outcomes, measures of our state of fear or joy.
There is no exclusivity to joy and fear. That is one without the other.
That is why we covet.
You’re welcome!
Glad I provoked his response. 😆
Give thanks, to Him. 😉
An argument wins or fails on the merits. If we attack everyone on the right that voices dissent, we become no different than the left. I’ve been Tea party since 2009 and I’m not the slightest bit interested in Israel or Irans problems.
Rand has SOME redeeming qualities, even if his contrarianism steps on some toes. In a 60+ Republican Senate (one can dream), I’d want him to be there just as an extra para-constitutional check and balance.
Massie is the height of hypocrisy. Something tells me he is not so much about checks and balances as about balancing his checkbook.
Truth be told though, so are 100+ % of Democrats and a scarily big number of RINOs. . .
Is the swamp really drainable?
“Is the swamp really drainable?”
Maybe not. However, that does not mean that we should not try.
To try and change something IF you had the opportunity.
That is what PDJT told WNY developer & former NYS gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino when Mr. Paladino asked him in 2016 why he was leaving his cushy life to enter the blood sport of politics.
Matthew 5:13 KJV
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
No it is not. Everyone in the Senate is compromised – you can’t become a Senator without compromising. The party controls the access to the ballot and funds.
You can get to the House without being fully compromised, but you will be compromised in your first term or removed. The parties control campaign fundraising and committee appointments. They also show up with your staff when you show up at the capital.
You’re with POTUS or you’re not, MAGA doesn’t wiggling, it’s us against them. Don’t be a ‘them’
Smif, that is ridiculous. You are essentially saying “don’t think for yourself, don’t have your own principles, just agree with everything the president says and does or you are one of them.” You actually sound indistinguishable from a hivemind leftist.
Interesting. Ted Cruz’s statement in the Tucker interview about “we’re going to…” (that Tucker jumped on) indicates that Congress already knew.
It’s a waste of money and time. Stay focused.
The only reason Operational Security was maintained here was that the Democrat Congressmen were NOT briefed, even though some Republicans were. The planes were clear of Iranian airspace before Pelosi and Schumer were aware of a thing. Did Obama ask for permission before he started droning everyone in sight? All this talk of “Unconstitutional” is merely sour grapes by Dems who once again, are on the wrong side of the issue. No one claiming we accomplished nothing are ignorant of how complex moving one centrifuge is in reality, let along the hundreds Iran had in operation. David Frum and the whole crew at “The Atlantic” hardest hit.
Yep…
🎯

From the link above: the total number of bombs dropped during Obama’s presidency likely ranges between 100,000 and 150,000.
“Did Obama ask for permission before he started droning everyone in sight?”
this is on its face not a very good argument. Obama should have been impeached for this.
Bingo. That is why they are mad. If Trump briefed congress democrats would have leaked and Iran would have shot down one or both of the B2s.
I am not a fan of President Trump going after people like Massie and Rand Paul. He needs to find a way to get along with them. If he primaries them we will likely end up with a RINO or another establishment Republican. It happened in Virginia when Trump backed John McGuire over Bob Good. Good was a pain like Massie, but he was true America First. McGuire is a squish who would back stab MAGA in a heartbeat.
agree. I’m getting tired of this. If he needs a Republican to go after it’s Lyndsey Graham.
The democrats running out there and calling for impeachment are foolish hypocrites.
I am glad he called Massie out. Massie calling this a war was flat wrong. No people were targeted.
He was a useful simpleton who is no longer useful or relevant.
How could it backfire? Is there enough people that back Massie that it would backfire? I’m on the opposite side of the country so seriously don’t know about the eastern side.
Trump needs the warmongers to get legislation passed. Iran was a compromise to get votes
If it was an attack on Iran, Tehran would be a pile of rubble.
It was not an attack on Iran. It was an attack on a nuclear weapon program in Iran.
The sky is falling…………………………………..
This isn’t a war. Bombing a couple of nuclear sites is not a war, it’s a Saturday.
Seems like some Kentuckians are infected with the McConnellism brain disorder.
I’m with Massie 90% of the time, and he is MAGA. As Reagan said, “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally — not a 20 percent traitor.”
This is a side of Trump I don’t like.
He took money to support DeSantis – that is not MAGA. He’s also a fake libertarian.
Rep. Massie reminds me of Christians that separate themselves from others that do not see and agree to the doctrines of scripture EXACTLY as they see.
Romans 16:17-18 KJV
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
You can verses out of their context to prove almost anything. This is referring to the doctrine they were just taught in the book of Romans.
There will be differences; however, there are only seven unities of the faith that Paul instructs us to adhere to.
Ephesians 4:1-6 KJV
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, [2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; [3] Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
[4] There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; [5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ultimately the nit picking ideological purist will wind up isolated.
Rep. Massie is ending up serving himself – not the country or even his constituency he is suppose to represent.
Well said. If you can’t say something nice, say nothing. Protect the quarterback, even if you disagree with the play he just called.
imo, the disconnect between MAGA and Massie/Paul is that Trump is practical and the other is ideological. ideologically, Paul/Massie want the usg to be small enough to drown in a tub, while MAGA seeks to use the governments powers to bend the country back to good. Trump will run up more debt and spend if it serves this purpose or almost just accepts it as the way things must be, while Paul/Massie are committed to whittling down USGs powers and spending. the problem I see w Trump is that the government powers will be left intact for the left to abuse us with later on, whereas Paul/Massie will never gain the traction to make any significant difference. whats the way to go? when Trumps term is done, what will we be left with? and will we still have momentum or be in disarray like the dems?
I think Trump’s plan is to amp up the US economy so much that the end result is massive wealth generation and massive tax income. Plus tariffs where needed.
The deficits will subside once spending is under control some time in the future. That’s the second phase I would assume. But first the BBB.
Just wish they’d come out and say that’s the plan if true.
It’s a gambit. But the alternative would be eventually we default. The world crumbles.
I appreciate the risk he’s willing to take. I’m not an economist, but we’re screwed if something radical isn’t tried.
I don’t ever remember Massie or Paul say anything about USAID fraud.
No they don’t. They always vote with the deepstate when their vote is needed. They are playing a role no different than the politicians who pretend to be super duper Christian or more patriotic than Yankee Doodle.
Now do Rand Paul as well.
Randy Poo will cancel himself out as he pursues A POTUS run (begging for money) EVERY day for last four and next four years. (just like his daddy…). Smart R’s will dismiss him and his endless bluster along with Spartacus, Ted Cruz and all the big talk DO Nothing wizards of the Senate.
Massie spoke out against AIPAC’s control over Congress. By going after Massie, Trump makes me wonder how much he has been compromised by Zionist interests.
Ding! Ding! 95% of congress is on AIPAC’s payroll. Massie ain’t one of them. AIPAC would rather see Massie removed before removing a pro-Palestine congress critter.
One can only hope that President Trump shakes in his boots and started preparing a full account of his being compromised by “Zionist interests” in front of V.Dominique, the Judge Boasberg of TCTH.
Massie supported DeSantis who is fully onboard with Israel and AIPAC – DeSantis wants to criminalize criticism of Israel. Massie is a tool who plays libertarian for votes and as a major Controlled opposition operator.
Whether you agree with Massie or not he is truly a brilliant man – and Kentucky knows it. I see this as having zero chance of success, and therefore a fruitless expenditure of political capital.
Rather he go for Adam Shiff
Faithlessness needs to be appropriately rewarded.
And Cruz and Markwayne Mullethead were right there blaming President Trump also for January 6th. One of my senate creatures, Marcia-Marcia-Marcia, also took back her objections on January 6th.
So…there’s something else up with President Trump’s dragging of Massie, because President Trump has been rootin-tootin for Cruz, Mullethead, and Marcia-Marcia-Marcia. oh, and Desanctimonious sidekick Chip Roy is to be included in that list.
Paul and Massie always get their “conservative” traits when it’s Trump. Where was all this indignation and opposition when it was much easier to do when Biden and the Democrats ruled both branches of government? There was plenty of unconstitutional malfeasance but they were nowhere to be found. Now that Trump is in office, they have to showboat at every turn. They are obviously not daft. One is an MIT engineer and another is a real eye doctor. So why this constant carping on the MAGA agenda?
Any significant action President Trump has taken throughout his career usually comes with the potential of it backfiring and indeed it has many times.
(He survived and achieved a win.)
However, I believe that a man of principle will run those risks for the greater good.
I have yet to see a libertarian embrace the concept of MAGA.
They usually begin with, “I like President Trump and agree with making America great again…..But, as a Libertarian, I can’t accept…. blah, blah, blah.
Massie & Paul are no different from any other so-called Libertarian; from my experience.
Libertarians want open borders, legal drugs, etc. And then want low taxes.
They are the worst of the worst – support policies that will destroy society and lower wages and then demand that government provide no safety net for the unemployed, underemployed, abandoned children, addicts roaming the streets.
Massie doesn’t like Trump.
Have you ever seen him campaign for him? Never.
He wanted DeSantis.
He didn’t vote to oust McCarthy,
who also worked with democrats to pass awful legislation
and he voted to increase the debt ceiling for Joe Biden.
Yet he has so many people snowed about his principled conservatism.
It’s the same way people defended Pence because he said he was a Christian. It’s this weird thing where a politician says something and they automatically believe it rather than their actions.
It wasn’t an attack on Iran. If it was, Iran would have ceased to exist. It was THREE BUILDINGS!
By your ligic Right to Reply, I guess we never attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, et al. as those places continue to exist.
I like Thomas Massie. To give you an example, he was the first to identify Ray Epps as an initiator of the J6 Federal Insurrection.
Long after blaming Trump.
Eh Massie and Rand have always been dicks. The people who vote for and like them tend to be politically ignorant one issue voters. Funny that Massie brought up the war powers issue with Trump but not Biden
All Libertarians are self destructive to a nation. They believe in the exact same things associated with what people call leftism. No borders, Muh free trade, massive illicit drugs, not punishing criminals.
Don’t believe me? Listen to then.
The Libertarian party cannot get 50,000 votes in a general election to secure a line on the NY ballot.
Some of their principals would work in a perfect world.
Which we do not live in. We live in a sin cursed world.
1 Timothy 1:14-15 KJV
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
[15] This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
They are worse than leftists because they support all those things and then demand government not offer aid for the victims of their policies.
Massie doesn’t like Trump.
He never has and he’s definitely NOT MAGA.
He IS a DeSantis SIMP who mistakenly thought Ronny would win,
hoping it would land him a cozy spot in that failed administration.
Massie openly brags about sending Trump straight to voicemail three times,
while shamelessly speaking at a DeSantis rally.
He’s done. He chose to oppose a clear mandate given to Trump by the American people.
Actions have consequences.
Just like when he blamed the “Insurrection” on President Trump.
Be bigly mad. Trump is the President-not Massie.
I like Massie’s perspective on many issues, but damn dude – pick a F***ing side.
Why do they only grow a spine when opposing their own leadership.
Exactly. Why do we always end up with John McCain?
Because they are controlled opposition
Early on, I pointed out that Massie is wildly popular in the homesteading movement, which is wildly popular in case y’all haven’t noticed. The movement is about self-sufficiency, back to the Land, independence from government intervention and intrusion, growing unadulterated food, home schooling, etc. The “movement” represents, to me, the American Spirit of Independence. It is a significant movement, whether one goes whole hog on farming or not.
A Constitutional Republic, in simple terms, is about the government minding their own, limited, business, while we Americans are FREE to work, live, play, pray, educate our children, etc., how we see fit. Our Republic has been methodically dismantled, but the American Spirit remains.
I read through Trump’s attack on Massie, and whether you like Massie or not, I thought Trump’s approach was … dumb. And it could misfire. I understand that Trump has a vision for economic growth that is fierce and wonderful. BUT, when he goes Bull in a China shop on someone because they won’t vote for his BBB… I think he needs to tone it down and perhaps invite Massie to dinner and LISTEN TO HIM. Which is what I previously suggested.
Now Trump may be correct that Massie is just another Loser. LOL. But that is not how Trump’s base perceives Massie (or Rand Paul). When he bombs Iran, we support him, but when he starts lobbing verbal bombs on people IN the movement… he needs to take a couple of steps back.
That is all. Carry on.
Bye massie.
Everything has the possibility of a backfire. So did this Iranian Nuclear hit. But you don’t accomplish anything by doing nothing. President Trump has nothing to lose since he can’t run again.
It should also serve as a warning to other RINOs who think they are going to stymie the President.
Just like the strike on Iran serves as a warning to other rogue countries.
And it should also serve as a warning to the EU and other countries that the clock is running out on the tariff negotiations and trade deals. July 9th is just around the corner when the higher tariffs will once again be effective. And this time they won’t be reduced until a deal is actually in hand.
When will these leaders stop underestimating President Trump?
One other thing. President Trump hasn’t used the veto pen much, but I’d be willing to bet that card is now on the table if RINOs think they can collude with Democrats to stop his agenda.
Republican circular firing squad……the stupid party. Why?????
I may be mistaken, but didn’t Massie say yesterday that he wants to impeach President Trump?
President Trump was almost killed, they tried to impeach him and tried to put him in prison. I have never seen a President get so much thrown at him and he’s still standing. THANK GOD.
Hey, Massie and Rand de Paul why don’t you investigate who tried to kill my President? Maybe you guys can join Moe, Larry and Curly (Bondi, Kash, Bongino) to continue to do nothing.
The uniparty are only in office to line their pockets.
I say let this administration do what it needs to do, as wonderful and thorough as Sundance is, we still don’t have all of the puzzle pieces
PDJT should be impeached for attacking another country without a formal declaration of war from Congress.
Bill Clinton should have been impeached for doing this (Kosovo) as should Obama (Syria, Libya).
So, Congress/Massie, it won’t happen. – that ship has sailed. You relinquished your legitimacy. Thanks for not doing your jobs.
I agree with Thomas Massie on this. I don’t particularly like Thomas Massie, I just think he’s legally correct.
You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
I have mixed feelings about the strikes on Iran nuclear, and I have some problems with the “big beautifull bill”, but we need principled people like T. Massie, even though I disagree with him, including in this case, as I think Pres. Trump had the authority to make these decisions on the bombings. Instead of going after Massie, how about getting rid of the war-mongering L. Graham and others like him? I respect people like Massie, even when I sometimes disagree with him. Better to invite him to the White House and have a respectful chat and listen to one another and exchange views out of the public eye.
Massie voted biden’s massive spending bill out of committee – he is not principled.
Massie has never been maga; He’s a DeSimp and never supported Trump as a candidate or potus.
Massie Never votes w/Republicans…always votes D.
I’m sick & tired of this Blowhard.
CheneyMassie
good for him
we need to get rid of these creeps
the MAGA agenda cannot save this country
if we don’t get rid of politicians who are
not interested in anything except getting
noticed by being contrary (Rand Paul, you too!)
backfire?
not sure of that – of course, anything can go awry
I do not know the MAGA voter make up of Kentucky
but putting MAGA on notice that this is one we need
to target for political removal is a great thing
Personally, I have been waiting for someone to
start a list
hopefully, the list will be drawn up by President Trump himself
