If the auto-pen was used legitimately, there would be a easily acquired paper trail of deliberative documents and approvals coming from biden granting authorization to use the auto-pen.
If those easily acquired documents are nowhere to be found, the people responsible for the use of the auto-pen can be convicted numerous fraud charges and possibly treason.
Unfortunately, Biden’s cognitive state had already declined to be “that far gone.” You will find no such approvals. The Potemkin President finally became: “in name only.”
Why go through all the hassle? Just sign the pardons. Why didn’t he sign them is the question.

There were 80ish pardons and over 4000 commuted sentences after Nov 5. The potato probably did not even know it was going on.
If there is no additional support such as a piece of paper signed by the potato that lists the names, then there is a good case the autopen signature alone is not valid. I am (fingers crossed) hoping people are charged with fraud or worse. But I am an optimist.

I honestly believe that you are being much too hard on Bondi, Patel, and Bongino.
If they do their jobs according to the Law, there are many things that they are forbidden to say. Not only because it is “Top Secret,” but to protect the accused’s Constitutional presumption of innocence. It is specifically against the Law for a prosecutor at any level to insinuate that charges might be forthcoming, because great harm could be done to a genuinely-innocent man by such insinuations, even when no charges are actually brought (or contemplated). They could very-effectively destroy him.
When a Grand Jury, deliberating in secret, actually hands down an indictment that is then unsealed, then it is possible to talk about the pending case. Because, only now, “the case exists.” The unsealed indictment is now public – and the accused is “presumed innocent.”
Do not assume that, because you do not hear of anything going on, that “nothing is going on.” I personally believe that all three of these people are very dedicated to their jobs. And, to procedure and process. They do not “leak.”
Bondi is very(!) unusual in that she is constantly giving a very large number of unscripted press appearances. And yet, she also has a “poker face.” She is striving to be “unusually public” about everything that she can discuss. But she will not divulge nor even suggest anything that she legally can’t. Just do a presentment/charging document to the court it’s being filed in and be done with it.

Preemptive pardons are not a legitimate act. They are political posturing. Pardons are not what most people think. Pardons are not papers for full forgiveness. Pardons are the answer to a conviction and are like get out of jail free cards. Pardons DO NOT remove ability to prosecute, they only restore certain civil rights after prosecution. POTUS cannot constitutionally pardon a conviction that hasn’t happened because there is nothing to trigger the pardon. A pardon is literally written to include the crime, the sentence, and the case number federal case number, without this information there is no real pardon.

I have used Autopen to sign various legal documents but never without supporting material to give the signatures context.
Normally, a lawyer or realtor would send me the document as an attachment along with a cover letter asking for my consent to use Autopen and explaining where to sign and date.
There is no reason on God’s Green Earth to use Autopen for a presidential pardon, unless that president is cognitively impaired and unable to hold a pen in his hand and has no idea of what he’s signing!

The problem here is that pardons are lawless. They are mentioned in the constitution, which means that congress had a right and a duty to make laws that stood up to constitution al scrutiny, governing pardons But they didn’t. So now if President Trump wanted to pardon the entirety of his administration forever and ever, who or what would rightfully stop him?
Trump has ample evidence of legal and professional retribution of his administration to justify such a move.
To my mind, this path for Ed Martin is a PR path, not a legal one. After all, do presidents read the legislation that they sign? No, they are told by staff what to do. And so it is for pardons.

There seems to always be much hope and anticipation when someone like this is appointed to a key position to discover wrong doing. Then comes the delays, postponements, or confidentiality issues that make sure the public never sees the outcome of these investigations.

There must be a written protocol for access to the machine. I’m sure there is some control in place. We need to find out what that is.
The DOJ under Merrick Garland and Lisa Monaco probably handled the auto-pen Executive Clemency requests. However, there are no legal protocols for these preemptive pardons. They will not stand up to scrutiny, or to the Constitution.
Whoever asked for one, got it…others may not have felt they did anything wrong.
It started with the J6 Committee and the destruction of evidence group of criminals.
Bill Clinton even said that Hillary should not ask for a pardon, because it is an admission of guilt.
The point is I’m sure there’s a record of who used it and when.

If ever the people involved were ever to be held accountable , I do believe they would need temporary prisons built fast because they would have so many offenders..

And no grand juries and sealed indictments were used as someone here has postulated as a reason we have nothing being done by the 3 stoogies.
