(VIA CNN) – Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his personal office Sunday, and it has spread to his bones.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.
It continued, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” Biden, 82, and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement said.
Biden is at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, this weekend according to a source familiar. CNN has inquired about where the former president is being treated. The news comes days after a spokesperson for Biden said the former president was recently evaluated for a “small nodule” discovered on his prostate. (read more)

I am a prostate cancer survivor and do not consider a PSA level of 9 aggressive – 19 yes. It is amazing to think that regular medical checkups as President did not show a slowly increasing PSA level.
Maybe this is a ploy to distract the public from his dementia problems while serving as President and the conversation about who was acting as President in his obvious absense.

Sadly, I lost my father from bone cancer almost 4-years ago which started with a tumour on his cheek (which was treated with radiation/chemotherapy).
The only “option” I had here in Australia was the hard option … “end of life” treatment.

According to the men from the Prostate Cancer support groups here in WNY that I attend regularly, you can expect the following:
1) No more erections, unless you use a vacuum device with a constriction ring or do direct injections (i.e. Caverjet).
2) Reactive Loss of Libido due to the inability to have natural erections.
3) Eventually the testicals will shrink to about the size of peas.
4) Hot flashes.
5) Breast enlargement.
After all that, the cancer will sometimes “switch gears” and become aggressive again without testosterone.
There are treatments for that, with continued “unpleasantness” associated with cancer treatments.

Prostate cancer is a slow mover, and there are also hormonal treatments to reduce testosterone, which is fertilizer for prostate cancer.

I was diagnosed with the same thing in October last, Gleason score of 9 with PSA of 25. I caught is before it spread to my bone thank goodness. Immediately started on a protocol of diet change, no sugar or processed foods and Ivermectin and Fenbendazole and two months ago my PSA, which started at 25, was down to 0.09. I have another PSA test scheduled June 2nd and am hoping for a PSA of 0.00!

10 years ago he was diagnosed at stage 4 – his PSA was over 125 and the cancer was the size of a large grapefruit. Too large for surgery & he might have been too old.
I cannot recall if he had any radiation.
He could not tolerate chemotherapy, the various hormone therapies have kept him alive.
Everyone is different. Some people with stage 4 only last 6 months with all possible treatments used, others have lasted 10+ years.
I know a gunsmith in PA that was diagnosed with stage 4 about four years ago and he is doing well today
I know a former president who lied about his physical and mental health for years. His family, his doctors, the media, and the political establishment all participated in the lying/cover up.
