Just in time to get rid of the questions about his cognitive abilities during his term in office, the people around Joe Biden announce the former President has an “aggressive form of prostate cancer.”
(VIA CNN) – Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his personal office Sunday, and it has spread to his bones.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.
It continued, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” Biden, 82, and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement said.
Biden is at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, this weekend according to a source familiar. CNN has inquired about where the former president is being treated. The news comes days after a spokesperson for Biden said the former president was recently evaluated for a “small nodule” discovered on his prostate. (read more)

My father-in-law died of prostate cancer, too, ZurichMike, and had no indication — after having his prostate and testicals removed — that the cancer metastasized similar to what happened with your father.
My husband, who has been told he has a high chance of getting prostate cancer, has watched as 6 of his 8 uncles (his father’s brothers) died from what started out as prostate cancer. Due to the obvious connection, one of the two remaining uncles is in a prostate study.
Because I live with a man who was told there is a high probability he could get prostate cancer, I’ve read books and watch online “experts” to learn as much as I can about every area of the subject. My husband has been getting routine PSAtests for years. When it gets too high they do a biopsy. They found a small area of “slow growing” cells a few years ago.
So I am surprised, with all the top medical care our Presidents get, that it wasn’t discovered before it spread to the bones. I thought routine PSA tests were to men, what PAP tests and mammograms are to women. You catch it early and more people are surviving those diseases now.

When prostate cancer metastasizes to bone, it is still called prostate cancer, not bone cancer.
I know a pastor in Columbus OH with bone cancer.
It has been in remission now for perhaps ~ 8 years now with the help of some experimental treatment using stem cells.

My guess is that during his multiple vacations and long weekends in Delaware he was being treated for it. There were no visitors logs at his DE home. I was doing the Active Surveillance since Feb. 2016. PSA started spiking in July 2019.
I only had one maternal uncle with PC. Heart attacks were the big killer on both sides of the family.
Monitoring for PSA doubling is essential to determine if you need treatment or not.
If I would have a MRI done earlier (like they do now), the Pi-RADS 4 & 5 lesions bilaterally would have been apparent and I would have had the surgery done earlier.
The younger you are IF you need surgery, statistically the better the outcome for maintaining urinary continence and sexual functioning.
My doctor at Roswell Park was keeping a close watch on me because my random biopsy in Feb 2016 done at another hospital showed 5 of 12 cores positive with a Gleason 3+3=6.
7 or higher is the number before treatment is recommended, unless the patient wants to “just get it out of them”. I was content to wait and see for a while.
After a MRI targeted biopsy in Sept 2019, my status was changed to 4+3= 7 on the Gleason score.
I did not have surgery until July 2021 because of the Wuhan plandemic fiasco, details of which I don’t want to try and explain because I would be tapping away until midnight.
