China balanced by a USA/Russia alignment would ensure peace for perhaps a generation, maybe two.

I was re-watching old videos about the fall of the Ceausescus from power in Romania in December 1989 – on youtube – some of it was a day-by-day record of reports from ITN – so incredible watching Ceausecu’s last speech on December 21, 1989 –
now the good people of Romania are being threatened again to be crushed – this time by NATO and the EU, with the building of that giant military base, bigger than Ramstein. Won’t that be a wonderful place for the Derp State to operate from, safe and sound, lording it over the Romanians – they can intimidate and rule the populace even more severely than the Ceausescus and their tunnels and secret police? So they really, really needed to not have Georgescu win the recent election or anyone like him.
I admit, I was not aware of this giant military base, of the extent of the operation, the massiveness, squatting itself in the midst of the Romanian people, like a beast that cannot be moved. It SHOULD be the property of the Romanian people, it is built on Romanian land but the EU is apparently no real respecter of sovereignty, not of Romanian people, or Russian people or Dutch or Irish or anyone else that might put up a fight.

My take, my hope, is that PDJT is undercutting the UK’s claim, with a sovereign claim that undercuts and supersedes the UK claim; eliminating the UK’s ability to claim ownership of minerals in Ukraine soil as well as the much larger and more commercially viable deposits that are currently under Russian feet.
It is my suspicion that the UK effected their claim in order to have an eternal rationale for war against Russia; London could poke the Bear for eternity until it finally got “it’s” minerals back from the Russians who had the temerity to rescue their fellow Russians in the Donbas, and the only way they can do that is by driving them out or destroying Russia completely.

Strongly suggest reading this report. Most of us are victims of misleading “facts” and the narratives presented by our IC and the MSM become axioms. e.g. “Russia equals the Soviet Union,” “Trump is a traitor for speaking with Putin.” (per John Brennan) and “Russia wants all of Ukraine and will overrun the Baltics and Poland if we don’t defeat him in Ukraine.”
Our state department said at the start of this war that this is about perception, and we will win the hearts and minds of the world. It is also a propaganda war. Why would Ukraine attack Russia with 50 men other than to get a headline?
My suggestion is to withdraw our support with the targeting capability as well as arms shipments before June 2025.

A lot of MAGA are not happy with this “minerals deal” and not really seeing WHY are we responsible for the rebuild of Ukraine….too much emphasis on taking care of a country that robbed us blind…

The minerals deal commits us to nothing. It basically gives us a claim to “partnership” reimbursement via profit sharing to the extent we DO do mining or reconstruction, or provide rebuilding aid (and implicit permission to go in and do that), with a boost up in the “partnership” capital account for any future military aid. And it’s more vague than a letter of intent.

Now it appears that the Trump has decided to not continue his peace making efforts. Is that true or is that Fake News?
Why is it so difficult to find out the truth about what is going on in Ukraine?
It appears that the US IC was involved in Ukraine for years before the CIA created Maidan coup of 2014, with multiple biolabs.
It also appears that the elites who want to own the world have had their eyes on Ukraine (the “bread basket” of Europe) for the natural resources and as a means of destroying Russia’s national security. If Russia took over Mexico and stationed troops on the border with the US and encouraged the country of Mexico to unite with Russia, we would consider that a national security threat.
NATO has consistently over the years involved more and more countries to practically surround Russia and threaten Russia, instead of being any kind of organization to keep the peace and defend Europe. In fact NATO was in need of some kind of mission and raison d’etre when they decided to provoke Putin into the special military operation in Ukraine’s east.
I thought Trump understood this chain of events. Maybe he does. But siding with and empowering Zelensky only makes matters worse. Does anyone here understand what Trump is intending to accomplish?
It is obvious that in order to end this war a lot more Ukrainians are going to have to die. Our Greatest Generation won WWII by destroying/killing everything that opposed them. We lost that message in Viet Nam and now we are going to have to grasp the significance of it again.
For the U.S., that starts by using the most severe methods possible to bring our own CIA to heel, teaching them that they really are under the authority of the President and the Executive Branch. Any that stay rogue are enemies of the state and need to be dealt with according to Pete Hegseth’s definition of “lethality”.
In the meantime, no money to Ukraine, no military aid of any kind to the Ukraine, and take down Starlink in Ukraine.
America’s beautiful minerals deal has a very strong likelihood of putting American boots on the ground in Ukraine, to protect the folks extracting and transporting those minerals.
