Great idea. Now to expand upon it. Two military bases per week send an honor guard to DC to raise and lower the flag each day. While the honor guards are in DC for their week of temporary duty they should be given tours of the Pentagon, Capital building, Supreme Court, and war memorials. Give them an opportunity to see what they signed up to defend. Many veterans have never had an opportunity to visit DC. Also, do as is done on military bases, stop all movement on White House grounds when reveille is played.
