It looks like meeting Vice-President JD Vance yesterday was the last public appearance before Pope Francis died early this morning.
The exact cause of death has not been shared: “At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father,” said Cardinal Kevin Farrell in an announcement of the death. Francis, who suffered from chronic lung disease and had part of one lung removed as a young man, was admitted to Gemelli hospital on Feb. 14, 2025, for a respiratory crisis that developed into double pneumonia. He spent 38 days there, the longest hospitalization of his 12-year papacy.
(Via AP) – Francis’ coffin will be moved from the chapel of the Domus Santa Marta hotel, where he lived, to St. Peter’s Basilica for public viewing.
According to a new ritual Francis approved last year, the body of the pope will be placed in a wooden coffin, with a zinc coffin inside. The pope will be dressed in red liturgical vestments, his miter — the traditional headdress of bishops — and the pallium woolen stole, a kind of scarf.
When the body is brought into the basilica, the Litany of Saints chant is sung. The camerlengo, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, leads the procession.
In a change ordered by Francis, the pope’s body will no longer placed on an elevated bier in the basilica. Rather, the simplified wooden coffin is placed facing the pews, with the Pasqual candle nearby.
No date for the funeral has been announced, but it must be held between four and six days after the death. (more)

The next Pope might be Catholic. And may God have mercy on the recently departed Pope and on all of us, we pray.
Much mercy is needed but God knows best.
Too bad he did not hide his face with a bible standing next to President Trump.
Maybe he didn’t own one?
I was going to say look at his grimace when with Trump and his joy with fellow Marxists
Pictures speak volumes!
A picture/collage, is worth a thousand words.
I find it disgusting to see Soros let in there.
I get that foreign leaders are welcomed to the Vatican, but not un-elected oligarchs who buy influence.
Francis was a globalist/communist, he welcomed happily all of his kind with open arms, thus the solemn expressions only with Trump and his VP.
Birds of a feather . . .
😂 Where you been?
Are you sayimg his money isnt good enough for the vatican? South American collectioms are down. A brothers gotta eat.
Why the long face standing next to President Trump?
Because Francis is 100% anti Trump . He’s a hardcore liberal .
It was a rhetorical question! 😂
“Was.”
Great pictures. Would like to see one of the pope standing next to Biden after ole Joe pooped his pants.
Thought I saw a tail slither out from the bottom of Francis’s robe
Wow! If looks could kill. I wonder what he thought about God saving Trump’s life in Butler PA.
i wouldn’t doubt huge donations are flowing into the papal power structure to influence the next selection.
Amen to that! It’s still politics even if it’s church politics.
Church politics are the ugliest when they serve any enterprise but God, because they use Gods name in vain when church politics supersedes Biblical Truth. Many church traditions abuse the name of God but are held on to as “truth”.
The problem lies within the power politics of the Church and her relationship with Jesus – not her followers.
Bergoglio was an advocate of suicidal empathy.
VanHollen and democrats are of the same mindset.
If any of you have heard of the prophesy of St. Malachi (former Pope) he “predicted” a succession of popes that could or could not be seen as realistic, based upon the translation of the “clues” provided. That said, according the prophechy, Francis is meant to be the last pope prior to the final pope who will be named Peter. Our of the top 8 favorites, 3 are named Peter. Just sayin.
That’s very interesing. Which cardinal are named Peter? I can only think of Peter Turkson from Africa.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin (Italy)Cardinal Péter Erdő (Hungary)Cardinal Peter Turkson (Ghana)
Pierbattista Pizzaballa
Cardinal of Jerusalem
Pretty sure all newly elevated Cardinals into serving as the Pope choose the name they are to be called by and not their birth, or given, name. We shall see what the newly installed Pope will call himself on the day of his elevation.
I remember when Pope John Paul selected that name, using 2 names was quite the controversy at the time, it had never been done before; setting quite a new tone going forward for not only the Church, but for many in Europe, seeing the fall of the communist Soviet Union and freedom for Poland being among those things.
Could our next Pope be, “George Ringo”?
They pick their own name upon becoming pope.
MzMaryMac,
the Peter mentioned in St Malachy’s prophecy is the name chosen by the new Pope. If the Cardinal chosen as the new Pope takes the name Peter or Peter the Roman, then that will fulfil St Malachy’s prophecy from the early 1100’s. If that indeed is what happens, the second part of the prophecy is probably true also. That says the new Pope will serve until March 18, 2032, when he and the Vatican will be destroyed. Most refer to this event as the 3 Days of Darkness or The Great Chastisement.
This will also mean the Warning and Great Miracle will occur before this time. My best guess is the Miracle will occur on Thursday April 13, 2028, or Thursday April 16, 2026. The Warning will happen several months before these dates. The final confirmation of these dates will be the new Pope Peter going to Moscow.
One of the seers at Garabandal, Spain in the early 1960’s, who Our Blessed Mother appeared to over 4 years now lives in the US. Her name is Conchita Gonzales, and she will announce the date of the Miracle 8 days before it happens.
Full facts can be found on Glenn Hudson’s website simplicityhumilitytrust.org
I will only say that God knows the exact dates. I’m still waiting for God to end Satan’s 100 years of terror after allowing him to go hog-wild starting in the 1890s when Pope Leo XIII received a mystical vision.
Not sure of Francis’s legacy other than he favored Marxism and insulted conservative Catholics. Francis unworthy to carry PJP2 sandels.
Waiting for the conspiracies and rumors to start from the Left that he was poisoned by Vance … 3…2…1…
Waiting??? They’ve been going on since the news broke.
Exactly what I was thinking…
these people are unhinged and will stop at nothing.
A strong dose of absolute truth would poison Pope Francis
The Catholic Church profited immensely from immigration into the USA. My only hope is that God questions the Pope at the gates of heaven. Collecting large sums of money while migrants were Raped, Murdered, and forced to be sex slaves. The Pope never addressed these inhumanities, and therefore, failed the Churches humanitarian efforts while making large sums of money for the Church. The Church was driven by profits all the while wagging a finger at the Trump administration for improprieties.
“Has any modern Pontiff ever written a statement so harshly critical of the policies of a sovereign nation?”
“The letter from Pope Francis. There can be no doubt that he intended to criticize the Trump administration, and specifically its plans to deport illegal aliens. Nor can anyone who has followed the American political debate miss the Pope’s deliberate thrust at a specific Catholic political figure, Vice President J.D. Vance.”
“When they felt it necessary to intervene in political debates, previous Pontiffs were wise to limit themselves to the statement of moral principles. After all it is the province of the laity to apply those principles to the specific circumstances of life in the secular world, and the role of political leaders to make the prudential judgments that form public policies. The infallibility of the teaching magisterium does not extend to political debates. Indeed when prelates become partisan the results are usually injurious: to society, to the Church, or quite likely to both.”
https://www.catholicculture.org/commentary/popes-disastrous-letter-on-immigration/
The NGOs profited tremendously by
the importation of illegal aliens. Those NGOs have been defunded.
The migrants themselves are collecting benefits and aren’t contributors to church collection plates.
The NGO Catholic Charities got a lot of tax payer money, from what I understand.
And Lutheran charities. The top 2.
USAID money. It’s been turned off. Thanks to DOGE.
Interesting. Wonder why the judiciary hasn’t come to the defense of human trafficking churches like they did for the criminal aliens.
Sundance has covered the topic of Illegal Immigration NGOs extensively over the years. NGOs from all religions profited greatly. Use the search feature at the top of the page for complete details.
Now the 80 hand picked members of the Curia need to follow him to their judgement.
So many people misunderstand the “infallibility of the Pope” dogma. It does not state that the Pope is a perfect human, or knows all, or isn’t a sinner. He is clearly a human being and thus a sinner like the rest of us. He has opinions, just like everyone else, and his personal opinions do not necessarily align with Truth. Also, his political powers are not the same as his power over Church dogma. So he, as Head of State for the Holy See, isn’t “infallible.” He is only consider infallible in what he states as revised doctrine. So his opinion on immigration and globalization and whatever else, is just that, his opinion, which has died with his human body. I cannot begin to assess what happens to Pope Francis now that he has passed on. That is a matter to be determined by the Lord Himself. I pray for his soul and hope that his intentions were pure of heart and that God will welcome him into His Kingdom. That said, I look forward to learning who the next pope will be, and hope the next pope will be more aligned with the conservative world view that is coming back more and more each day. God Bless!
So, then,
Therefore,
we teach and define as a divinely revealed dogma that
So then, should anyone, which God forbid, have the temerity to reject this definition of ours: let him be anathema.
The pontificate of Jorge Mario Bergoglio was incredibly taxing for faithful Catholics. The pope courted controversy and took heterodox and materially heretical positions in many areas that contradicted Catholic dogma. He was also maliciously antagonistic to sincere Catholics who solely wanted to practice the unadulterated faith and adhere to doctrine that Catholics have always believed before neo-modernist revolutionaries in the church seized the reins of power.
Many of us prayed ceaselessly for his conversion to the Catholic faith. As he stands before the judgement seat, Francis will have to account for all he has done. We Catholics who remain will pray for a pious and holy pope to right the ark of salvation.
If the passion of the church is to continue, however, we will take up this cross offered as alms by an all loving God and continue to walk the narrow path to the high gate.
Mater misericordia, ora pro nobis!
I’m with Archbishop Viganò.
Agree!!

Me too, and btw they are saying it was a.stroke, which high blood pressure can exacerbate, makes me wonder if seeing J.D. pissed him off, as in “wouldn’t that piss off the pope?”,…
sorry, too soon?
Dutchman, no not too soon. Smiling and I shouldn’t but I am.
FTA:
In 2018, Eugenio Scalfari reported the words that Bergoglio supposedly confided to him about his vision of the afterlife:
“Sinful souls are not punished: those who repent obtain God’s forgiveness and join the ranks of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, sinful souls simply disappear”.
These heretical ravings are directly opposed to the Catholic Faith, which teaches us that there is a particular Judgment for everyone, which Bergoglio could not escape. His soul has therefore not disappeared, nor has it dissolved: he will have to account for the crimes he has committed, first of all having usurped the throne of Peter in order to destroy the Catholic Church and loose so many souls.
But if this non-pope and anti-pope can no longer harm the Mystical Body, his heirs still remain, the subversives whom he has invalidly created “cardinals” and who have long been organizing themselves to ensure a continuator of the synodal revolution and the destructuring of the Papacy. In support of them are also the conservative Cardinals and Bishops who have been careful not to question the legitimacy of Jorge Bergoglio. It is on these people that the greatest responsibility for the outcome of the next “conclave” falls.

So am I.
Every time.
I thought I read somewhere that the last pope stacked the ranks of cardinals to ensure that someone simpatico to his socialist sympathies would succeed him. Can anyone confirm that and/or give more details?
thats correct.
sort of like stacking the courts with marxists to ensure we cannot vote our way out of tyranny.
The principal power of a pope is to name cardinals. The principal power of cardinals is to name a pope.
Say something good about the dead. Good. He’s dead. He was the most anti-pope ever. Basically condoned or accepted the worst sins. You are supposed to be the highest man close to God and are tasked with carrying out God’s word, no matter how liberal you are. This pope failed God and failed man. Enjoy hell.
Yes, because Wikipedia is always a good source. /s
Yes there were but you can’t really compare bygone eras by today’s standards. Brutality was normal and accepted back then. People were not shocked by it and many support it. The Popes and Cardinals weren’t all that different from the royalty and nobility at the time and serfs and peasants left brutal lives.
The modernist heresy is the synthesis of all heresies, making this Pope the worst.
To much is given, much is expected.
I hope JD got the last word. Mom said if you have nothing good to say, say nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
As a practicing catholic all I will say is good riddance to bad rubbish.
I am not, but I know some great people that are Catholic. I don’t understand how they can remain so when the leader or king or however you see it is like the last Pope. Why would they not break away and have their own true to God Pope?
Very good question. This question has clear answers throughout the Bible. All the different reasons why Catholics remain would require many references.
Better yet a half black half Hispanic lesbian (sarc).
NWO’s Pope Francis And His Soros-Inspired Globalism, Islamofascism .
There are a ton of great articles at NWV about Pope Francis .

The seated woman is Mary.
The last Pope…
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò should become the Pope or someone like Vigano. I don’t care if Vigano was excommunicated by this Marxist pope. Bring back Vigano and make him a Cardinal if the Catholic Church wants some legitimacy and accountability moving forward.
It’s amazing to see the politicking going on over who should be elected the new Pope for the Roman Catholic Church; one would hope that the next Pope will be elected by Jesus Christ through the movement of the Holy Spirit to those doing the voting.
Frank Pavone has a nice you tube he shared, 4 minutes “My Thoughts on the Death of Pope Francis” and opens with a lovely prayer:
Can we un-restrict the latin rite again? Please?
Why? You enjoyed the mass with the priests back to you or you just like knowing a dead language?
I do not regularly attend Mass in the Ancient form. I prefer Ad orientum worship, led by the priest. And although my adherence to and practice of Catholic teaching aligns very closely to that of “Trad” Catholics, I do not relate to them well. I’ve been lectured by them, attacked by them too much. But their treatment at the hands of Pope Francis has been horrific, and unjust. And there is no reason to disallow the Ancient Rite of the Latin Mass.
Why would you be derogatory or that? Attend the Novus Ordo and respect the choice of fellow Catholics.
Agree again Menagerie. The Catholic church has 24 separate rites of the mass. If the Bergolian sect gets their way, they’ll add an Amazon Rite that incorporates questionable practices like shaman dances and smudging. Against all this, it is intentionally malicious and calculated for maximum damage to restrict the Mass of All Time that built Christendom, evangelized the world, and nurtured the faith of 98% of all the saints who ever lived.
Obama for Pope! We whites, the most evil sinners of all peoples, will finally be free of our racisms!
Our girls can now have beautiful brown babies at last!
Instead of those hideous little pale creatures they are cursed with for our original sin!
I strongly disagreed with him politically, but Pope Francis was still a Christian man. God rest Francis.
Naturally, I hope the next Pope is a hardcore nationalist. Globalism is an evil cancer, destroying all of us for the sake of a few shekels. May our next Pope understand that and guide the Church to the right path.
The church is teetering on the edge of insolvency. Donations – particularly from the United States – are way down.
The worst thing they could do is go even more woke.
Western Civilization is bound together by Christianity. A black pope just says “never mind all that”.
They need to win over the hearts of millions of Western Catholics whom the Church alienated in its march to Progressive glory.
My parish must be an exception. We are debt free and expanding our main church, the narthex and portico.
We have one or two Hispanic parishioners out of more than one thousand registered.
However the larger parish 30 miles to the north has a large Hispanic membership and a Spanish Sunday Mass which I’ve often attended due to a convenient time.
I’ve seen the collection basket passed and it is not full of cash.
I too hope the next pope will be more conservative and traditional.
I am unaware of the “insolvency” of which you speak. The church is growing worldwide even in Europe and America, albeit at a slower rate than Asia and Africa.
I have lived in several states over the last couple of decades and see the churches doing well financially, everywhere but San Francisco. I think SF’s problem is its lack of real estate. Land locked, small and expensive.
Isn’t there a very traditional, conservative black cardinal from some country in Africa, who regularly disagreed with the recently deceased Pope?
Yes, Cardinal Sarah. I think
You can see how swollen is his face from the steroids for respiratory ailment.
My understanding is he suffered a stroke.
On moral and ecclesial grounds, his reign was a disaster for the church.
He started out so well. He would call up random numbers from the phone book and ask how he could help people. He embraced that guy with the deformed skull. He got out of the car and shook hands with bystanders. He seemed to be a pope for the people.
But then one heard of him exiling highly regarded cardinals because they were conservative. He banned conservatives from even attending a climate symposium, let alone speaking there. He delayed dealing with the pederasty scandal until it was off the front pages and then did nothing. He ignored legitimate “Dubia” requests for clarification of his ambiguous moral doctrines, which promoted an “anything goes” attitude on the ground in the bishoprics.
In short he undermined morals and good order in the church.
I’m not RC and don’t have a dog in this race, except that I generally share its moral worldview and understand that what happens to a church of a billion people affects everyone.
Pope Francis, as powerful as he was, could not change the 2,000 year old dogma of the Church. But what he could do was sew confusion, and encourage bishops to lead people astray in practice. A Catholic coup sort of like our politicians have done by ignoring the Constitution.
Do you know who else sews confusion?
The Author of Confusion
…the father of lies himself.
The sower of tares.
That is it, exactly. I can forgive someone their politics but it is much harder to excuse a poser who leads the Lord’s flock astray. Whether or not this is done intentionally, the pope of all people should know better.
Katy Perry once read the Bible for eleven minutes straight, so I guess she qualifies as “papabile”?
(sorry, I saw that on another thread and thought it was hilarious.)
A joke, I know, but for the record, her parents were pastors, so she probably read the Bible a lot more than that.
I’m sure our host Sundance and his amazing admin Menagerie are not appreciative of the anti-Catholic sentiments expressed by so many in this thread.
I certainly am not.
It is disheartening and inappropriate but I will defend anyone’s right to speak their mind.🖖🏼
There is such a thing as respect for the situation. IMO, snide remarks and veering off into unrelated proselytizing are not appropriate.
I am fiercely loyal to the Church. People have a right to believe as they choose, but I think it reflects on their temperament and intelligence. Also, I have never in all the years since my conversion to Catholicism in 1977 encountered anyone who argued against the Church and actually sought out legitimate Catholic teachings from original sources. The choice is always to read apologetics from hostile sources and believe it without question.
Imfind that illogical. If I want to know what Baptist believe, I don’t want to go to even my most respected Catholic sources and teachers, I want to research Baptist theology and talk to educated and knowledgeable, faithful Baptist Christians. The only denomination I haven’t been able to do that with is the Orthodox faith. In the past year I spent months trying to research certain foundational beliefs and teachings common to Orthodoxy, and I was left with less knowledge than I started out.
I agree. Fiercely loyal as well. I’m a cradle Catholic but spent my 30s and 40s as a “militant” atheist. I am now a very traditional Catholic. Not a sedevacantist but I am sympathetic to their position. I have Protestant relatives who say I am going to hell. I have devout Catholic friends who believe the opposite. And still a few atheist friends and relatives. I always enjoy the debate, preferably over a beer or a good scotch. 🙂 In the end, our Lord is the final judge.
One must engage in myriad failures of logic and reason to accept the protestant positions on scripture, faith, works, justification, etc.
Let’s assume, for argument’s sake, that all sorts of anti-Catholic screed is true and that the RC Church is false (which would also make all the other orthodox Eastern Churches false, all dating back to the first century, and all sharing the same theological version of Christianity with Catholicism, and all in union with the teachings of all the earliest Christians from the resurrection until the 16th century). It’s all false. Still, it does not follow that if those churches are all false that Protestantism is true. It isn’t.
Protestantism is false for many demonstrable reasons and those reasons are in all the ways protestantism differs from apostolic and orthodox Christianity. Protestantism is correct in the beliefs it shares with orthodoxy: the Trinitarian view of God, the eternal Godhead of Jesus Christ, the necessity of belief in Christ’s redeeming Grace for one’s salvation. All these are held in common. But Where Protestantism breaks with Apostolic, Orthodox Christianity it is dead wrong.
First, protestantism claims to be “Bible believing” but the question arises, which Bible? The new truncated Bible the Protesters took from anti-Christian Jews who removed certain books in the second century A.D., including Wisdom, which contains one of the most pointed prophecies about Christ in the Old Testament?
Ignore that for now. How about the New Testament, the canon of which stands or falls with the sole authority that established it: the Catholic Church? Wait, could Protestants, in rejecting the authority of the Catholic Church, which is the sole authority for the NT Canon, be cutting off the theological branch they sit on? Let’s ask the late R.C. Sproul, who had real trouble with this reality. How did he try to stay on the branch his tradition sawed off? He concocts a logical fallacy of his own: The NT canon is a fallible collection of infallible books. That kind of faulty logic does nothing to secure the branch to the tree, does it?
Once you open the Pandora’s box of the unorthodox Protestant doctrines you begin to see their glaring fallacies. Take the Bible Alone tradition. Not only is it nowhere taught in the Bible, it contradicts Paul where he explains that the Church of the living God is the pillar and foundation of the Truth. We begin to see “Bible” believing Protestants often need to explain away clear scripture to support their positions.
Take another false tradition that is peculiar to Protestantism and had no existence in Christian thought before Luther invented it in the 16th century: Christians are saved by “FaithAlone.” When the actual word of God makes clear throughout, from the constant teachings of Jesus and his apostles and Paul, that salvation comes From the Grace of God through our cooperation with our faith and works. The only time faith and alone are used together in Scripture flatly contradicts Luther’s novel invention (where James explains how faith alone, without works, is dead). Luther should have thrown that book out of his protest Bible too.
Yet perhaps, the worst example of “explaining away scripture” is the Protestant tradition denying the clear words of Christ in John 6 concerning his Holy Eucharist. Protestantism is constant in its rejection of Christ’s clear commandment to eat His flesh and drink His blood by insisting He did not mean what he said. Despite the fact that Christ repeatedly said it, and then doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down on it after a large portion of the crowd rejected the teaching.
Many traditions peculiar to Protestantism alone are demonstrably not in Union with the Bible it claims as it’s sole source of belief.
Acceptance of protestant doctrine is sustained only by the application of multiple logical fallacies and incoherent reasoning.
FYI Lutherans also confess the Holy Eucharist and wine to be the body and blood of Christ. For this reason they welcome all Christians who believe in the Holy Eucharist to participate in communion mass.
Where Lutherans depart most strenuously with Catholicism is the necessity for an intercessor between themselves and God.
I was raised a Catholic but then I gravitated towards Lutheranism. While neither denomination is perfect (Lutherans are just as woke) I do find that my relationship with God changed most profoundly when no one else came between me and my Creator.
Popes like the one who is dead have muddied those waters. Isn’t it the most basic tenet of Christianity to have faith in the One, true God and to put no man before Him?
CTH’s faithful have helped my understanding and appreciation of the Church a great deal, and introduced me to Archbishop Vigano, who speaks faithfully to the Gospel and deeply to my heart.
I am grateful and strengthened in my own faith and appreciation of us all standing united as the Body of Christ.
I must be blind, as I have seen lots of comments ,..less than complimentary of the recently passed Pope, but none derogatory to the Catholic religion.
C’mon Dutchman, you’re better than that.
I’m devout in my Catholic faith and continue to learn about the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I have followed the Franciscan charism as a candidate to the Secular Third Order.
As a Cursillista I have developed an interest in apologetics and evangelization, but I must admit one of the most difficult obstacles to explaining the faith and winning converts were the confusing and often contradictory pronouncements of Pope Francis.
He created uncertainty even among lifelong Catholics.
I pray for the repose of his soul. I pray for the elevation of a true man of God who honors the ancient and unchangeable dogma of the Catholic Church because God is unchanging. He is the same from the beginning of time to the present and for eternity.
No Pope can change the Word of God. He can only spread the Good News as it was revealed by Jesus Christ, no additions or subtractions.
I’m not defending the papacy of Pope Francis. I just don’t see this as an occasion for people to attack Catholics and their beliefs.
Really?!
I haven’t read all the comments, but most of the ones I’ve seen haven’t been against the Catholic church, but have been less than complementary about the late Pope.
I am not a Catholic, but I hope the next Pope will be a good leader and true adherent of the Gospel.
Those folks deserve better than they got with this last Pope.

🚨 BREAKING: President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are going to the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome, he just confirmed.
“We look forward to being there!”
Blaming Vance and Trump in 3, 2, 1…….
One less communist pedophile.
What is that scarlet thing hanging from the waist of the man in the black robe?
The man in the black clothing, is wearing what is called a Bishop’s Cassock and sash adornment around his waste is called a Fascia. The silk covered buttons are 33 in number to represent the number of years Christ had his ministry on earth; these garments are all filled with symbolism.
here’s a picture:
https://www.gaspardinc.com/bishop-s-cassock.html
this Wikipedia article explains the various meanings of the colors for the fascia’s, which basically let the laity know such things as the rank of the individual and oftentimes the season the various religious adherents are celebrating, such as certain colors for Easter, different ones for Advent, etc.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascia_(sash)
All garments worn by the clergy, not just Roman Catholic, are full of symbolism; this is an even simpler look at the symbolism of what a Roman Catholic cleric wears:
https://www.hbgdiocese.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/What-a-Bishop-Wears-Bishop-Gainer.pdf
Black robes indicate that he’s a bishop, along with the color purple. I believe the sash is called a fascia.
Christ is Risen.
The Red Pope is dead April 21, 2025.
Klaus Schwab has resigned from the World Economic Forum effective April 21, 2025

I am not a “Coincidence Theorist.”
God is in charge.
Always.
expect more of this incoming days (weeks)…………
The devil will do anything to knock “HE IS RISEN” off the front pages and lips of believers around the world. BUT we still know and believe “HE IS RISEN.”
RIP. You won’t be missed.
Praying for a JPIII.

Cardinal Sarah ?????
As a man, I have judged the Pope by his words. But G_d will have the last say.
In my opinion, a couple of the most qualified and best choices are African, and there would be nothing affirmative action about it. They are head and shoulders above their brethren in holiness, orthodoxy to the faith, and courage.
Menagerie, I am Anglican Catholic and our most devout bishops are African, too.
Agree Menagerie. The Holy Ghost moves the church in Africa, the land of current day martyrs, red and white. The African bishops and Cardinals, almost to a man, are solidly orthodox and unambiguous in preaching and defending the faith. An African pope would be the best case scenario.
Large numbers of young people in the UK are turning to religion.
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster, said the Catholic church had seen a big increase in the number of young people attending Mass regularly.
He said: “In this last week, there have probably been 50,000 people in and out of Westminster Cathedral. For the 12 o’clock [Easter Sunday] Mass, people were queuing down Ambrose Avenue in order to come in as soon as the previous Mass had finished, to find a place.
“There were 200 people outside the door following it on their phones. So there’s, as they say, something going on – and that, too, we should ponder and pray about.”
Standing room only in some churches this Easter.
Something’s going on that’s quite profound…is it stability people are looking for, do they sense the battle coming?
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/21/bumper-easter-mass-attendance-church-clergy-claim/
I pray for the church and for Christian Civilization. Our future depends on our relationship with God. Too many people in this world worship governments and not enough people worship God. I pray for revival and the restoration of Christian Civilization.
Who will be the next pope, with Cardinal Luis Antonion Tagle as the clear early favorite.
Tagle, who hails from the Philippines, is generally seen as a progressive, after expressing his support LGBTQ rights and claiming that universal moral principles may “not apply in all situations.”
He has, however, been the subject of a certain amount of scandal as a result of alleged “shortcomings” during his time heading the Vatican charity Caritas International.
Current bookmakers’ odds give Tagle a 50% chance of winning the nomination.
Other frontrunners are Pietro Parolin, who currently serves as the Vatican’s Secretary of State and has advocated greater engagement with the Communist regime in China; French Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, who is said to have been Pope Francis’s favored successor and is generally seen as a leftist; and Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk, a Dutch cardinal who holds conservative positions against blessings for same-sex couples, transgenderism and the ordination of female clergy.
Race should not be a factor in the selection process.

Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you: except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 54{55}He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. 55{56}For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 56{57}He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me: and I in him. 57{58}As the living Father hath sent me and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. 58{59}This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead. He that eateth this bread shall live for ever.
59{60}These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum.

Jesus said ALOT OF profound words unto eternal life, Paul clarifies
the notion of the body of Christ meaning the believing CHURCH BODY as many members and anatomy of the human temples of the Holy Spirit
John 3:16 spells it out.
For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
It’s that simple.

Archbishop Viganò: Corrupt clergy use Satanic deception to annul the Word of God – LifeSite:
Psalms 34:13 (KJV) Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Btw, I am in agreement with what Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano said. The Psalms I posted above is in agreement.
Suppose a prominent Protestant minister dies. Turn back the clock a number of years, and assume Billy Graham for example. He was a wonderful, holy man of God. Or contrast it with a lesser preacher, say Jim Bakker. Either way, a man who, as near as I can tell about Reverend Graham, without a smirch on his name, or one who caused scandal which always damages faith, I cannot imagine using the occasion to insult and trash the Christians of another denomination for their beliefs.
Maybe if you were on one of the thousands of blogs or websites created to host religious discussions and apologetics, then such a leap would be understandable and acceptable. Here it’s just grandstanding insults.
It says a lot about the moral character of people, and a lot more about their brand of Christianity.
Also shows how politicized everything as become and how habitual the reaction to anything, everything, these days is overly in the form of emotional expressionism;
truly miss the days where conversation and the interaction of ideas, beliefs, experiences was the accepted norm in this nation.
Back in the day, posting on the Catholic Answers forum was huge and I would say in a sense rivalled the Treehouse (it was to religious discussion what the Treehouse is to political discussion and their Prayer Thread section was intensely active). There was also a paid team of moderators who enforced a strict no-bashing policy. All were welcome, from Trad Catholics to Liberal Catholics, to non-Catholic Christians, Protestants of all types, to Jehovah’s Witnesses, to Mormons, to Jews, to Muslims, to Atheists, Agnostics, and Pagans. But insults were firmly against the rules, and anyone, even long-standing Catholic forum members with stellar reputations could get permanently banned for insults against any of the aforementioned belief systems or people belonging to them, be it a prominent religious leader or a fellow forum member.
They also had a Politics section, and the same rules applied. Insults against a political leader, party, or fellow forum member could result in a perma ban.

Archbishop Viganò: ‘Cardinal’ McElroy aligned with UN 2030 agenda, LGBT, vaccines – LifeSite:
“The “mass deportation” of illegal immigrants is a decision that the State can legitimately take, and this is a principle dictated by Natural Law even before positive civil law or canon law.
Conversely, the “mass deportation” of illegal immigrants is certainly and indisputably incompatible with the network of pseudo-charitable organizations in the hands of the Bergoglian hierarchy, the Democratic Party and the NGOs attributable to George Soros, and with the system of complicity between the deep state and the deep church, both of which are actively engaged in the dissolution of the social, economic, cultural, and religious fabric of the nations in which they have taken control of the institutions. Stopping illegal immigration would make them lose an inexhaustible source of profit, paid for by citizens’ taxes.
The “mass deportation” of illegal immigrants is certainly and unquestionably incompatible with the subversive plan of ethnic substitution shared by the globalist elite, because it thwarts it and prevents the creation of the premises for social revolt that are intended lead to a further restriction of fundamental freedoms.
When we hear representatives of the deep church (i.e. the Bergoglian “church”) or the deep state speak, we ought to realize that these people are emissaries of the subversive globalist lobby, and that every word they say is false, because behind an apparently acceptable excuse they actually hide unmentionable criminal purposes. …”
