Venezuelan migrants charged with kidnapping, shooting and drilling a hole in a Washington woman’s hand: ‘left her for dead’

A pair of illegal Venezuelan migrants — including one with likely ties to Tren de Aragua — allegedly kidnapped a Washington state woman, power-drilled a hole in her hand and shot her on the side of a highway, according to police.

Kevin Daniel Sanabria Ojeda, 24, and Alexander Moises Arnaez-Gutierrez, 25, allegedly told the 58-year-old woman they had been waiting for her when they approached her outside her apartment in Burien in King County on Jan. 28 and forced her into their car.

Sanabria Ojeda shot at the victim but missed as she struggled and screamed for help to no avail. The brutes stuffed her in the car and kicked her head multiple times as they forced her to lie on the floor and tortured her for her bank information, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Fox News.

“The suspects then forced [the victim] to provide the PIN for her credit cards/banks cards by drilling into her right hand with a power drill,” police wrote in their report.

They pulled her out of the car and threw her over a retaining wall, where Sanabria Ojeda shot her.

“They shot her on a mountain pass and left her for dead,” investigators wrote in the report.

Have little doubt: China will blink first in this long overdue, and righteous, 21st-century superpower trade war. China is the structurally weaker country, and it has the far more vulnerable economy. The Chinese real estate market is a veritable disaster. Chinese economic growth is sluggish. And because they have become so heavily reliant upon American exporters to feed the Beijing economic beast, Chinese elites know where their bread is buttered. Perhaps the spigot is finally off, and true American-Chinese economic “de-coupling” is in order—that would certainly be a laudable development. But at minimum, the current—that is, pre-“de-coupling”—situation provides Americans with a tremendous amount of leverage. All we have to do is actually use that leverage.

Xi Jinping is in many ways evil, but he is no dummy. Expect China to propose a viable trade off-ramp before things get too ugly. And if he successfully wins the Chinese trade war, Trump will have saved countless American jobs, livelihoods, trade secrets, and lives themselves. It will be a historic victory. Call it the art of the deal—or something.
