I was unaware of this statement by Rubio, on Ukraine but was pointing out President Trumps remarks at an Oval Office Presser, where he said about Zelenski’s wanting to buy missiles…”look, you don’t START a war with a country 20 times your size, and then,….”
The Admin is now openly, and in a coordinated fashion destroying the “unprovoked Rusdian aggression” false narrative which the whole “Support Ukraine” charade was based on.
And as I have written before, this is vitally relevent to what happens to the 100’s of Billions in “frozen” Russian assets held by Ukraine, the EU, and the U.S.
IF Russia was the “unprovoked” aggressor, than by “International law” (not actually written down anywhere, its more an agreed understanding) those frozen assets can be used as “reparations” to help rebuild the poor invaded country, and to punish the aggressor, and thereby discourage other countries from engaging in aggressive behavior. At least, thats the idea.
Especially given how corrupt Ukraine is, the EU countries were slavering at the idea of siezing the $300 Billion in frozen Russian assets they hold, and funneling it thru the Ukraine money washing machine, ..no doubt Congress was similarly drooling at the prospect.
President Trump has just shut the door on that. If Russia was provoked, then the assets must be returned to Russia, there really is no otherway to see it.

But where in the heck does he get the authority to appoint his own prosecutor when the SC already vacated his previous orders?
He does not have that authority. Though it’s clear he knows the Federal Marshal Service answers to DOJ, not him. Ordinarily, the marshals would enforce contempt rulings. That Boasberg didn’t mention it tells me Bondi has covered that base.

Unified U.S. Messaging: Chinese officials are confused by conflicting signals from Washington. We have laws already on the books and they are simply not being enforced. We need laws with real teeth and severe penalties that are quickly enforced to stop invasions of privacy.
Reading through the comments here every day, I’m struck by the arrogance of people thinking they shouldn’t have to ever prove who they are. Great! Than don’t drive, bank or travel. You have to give up a little freedom to live in a society with just laws. The rest of us want to live somewhere we won’t be blown to smithereens when we travel or be forced to cough up most of our hard earned money to support illegal alien moochers because your arrogance makes it nearly impossible to check out anyone’s bona-fides.
The Constitution was mostly written in the 1700s so it should have ethical intelligent patriots work on it to adjust to the changing times. I remember the time when there was absolutely no consistency in State-issued identification such as driver’s licenses. Barkeeps kept a book of photographs to try to weed out fakes. And, even in those “non-digital” times, it was pretty easy for an underage teenager to make one.
Therefore, I actually have no problems with a national program which was geared to provide consistency and heightened security to these important documents. Nor do I have problems with the idea of limiting entry to people who don’t now have them. This deadline has been announced for years. Even if you don’t drive, you can get a valid identification card for free.
I am legitimately concerned about imposters. People who are not who they say they are, often with criminal intent.
When I fly, I present my US Passport card.

And, guess what: these “illegal aliens” are citizens of the countries from whence they came. They have no Constitutional rights, and no standing before any US Court. Existing law expressly gives him the power to expel “alien enemies,” and to define for himself who such people are.
But, in the end, it’s going to have to be Trump himself who declares these Court actions to be “unconstitutional” under his own Constitutional authority. Our country does not have 400+ Presidents.
There is a bill now before the Senate which addresses this issue. May it be very quickly passed and signed.

I just reviewed a recent statement by President Trump, regarding the Ukraine war.
He is openly saying Ukraine was the aggressor, their really can be no other interpretation.

President Trump, in that statement crossed a line, putting the whole “unprovoked Russian aggression” narrative in the trash can, at least as far as he is concerned.

I would suggest that NATO members including Biden saying that Ukraine could join NATO even though they had no intention of doing so, may have been a final straw for Putin. There was a treaty signed to stop NATO encroachment on Russia’s borders. Russia should have gone to the U.N. and told about the bio labs and broken treaties before he invaded. Both sides were stupid.
It also had a lot to do with 150,000 Ukrainian soldiers lined up on the border of the Donbas in February, 2022 with plans (leaked to The Times and the Kiev Independent) signed by Zelensky to invade the Donbas and end their “independence” or “separatism”. And the resumption of bombing and shelling the Donbas starting on February 16th and increasing daily.
