If anyone thinks the existing system was not ALREADY being abused, let me share a personal story. Someone who had a vendetta against me some years ago threatened to have his female cousin dig into my federal income tax returns. She was an IRS employee.

I received a letter from the IRS indicating there had been an INTERNAL breach of my tax information. I am no celebrity nor am I a high income earner.

I was suddenly audited by the IRS. I was told I owed a bunch of money to the IRS. I denied it and demanded I appear in federal tax court to present evidence of an insider having breached my tax info. I had the threat letter and the IRS notification of breach.

The demand for me to pay suddenly evaporated and I was told I owed nothing.

The IRS has been DIRTY for years so I am not persuaded by fears of changes to their data systems.

The best solution will be to DO AWAY WITH FEDERAL INCOME TAXES so criminals inside the IRS cannot use the IRS code to threaten, steal our money and abuse us.

Years ago, I had a friend who interviewed with the IRS for employment. They gleefully talked to him about the enormous power he could wield against everyone if he JOINED THEIR TEAM. He could seize bank accounts and put the fear of God in anyone he pleased.

The IRS is just another agency full of corruption.

having lived in a country which decided to flirt with “socialism” and appeared to be moving to communism, but just in time was brought back, I am very suspicious and cynical and also developed an antennae for the creeping mental and emotional tyranny that comes with it. I’ll never forget the horrible feeling of govt involvement in every aspect of your life and even your thoughts. Folks should fear that path. I often think that when comparing democracy/capitalism and socialism/communism environments that in capitalism the govt and big business just want to steal or own your money but under socialism/communism they want to steal and own your mind too. Socialism didn’t sound bad when they talked about the benefits but they never mention all the bad stuff that comes with.
Its almost like my sons experience with renting an electric vehicle: they always talk about the good parts but never mention the simple ridiculous task of not finding charging stations and the time to fill up. His one experience was a nightmare where on the most major New York state thruway most of the charging stations were down and he had to sleep in a parking lot on a 2 hour journey form Newark airport. Since then he and I make it clear, I don’t mind substitutions on the vehicle as long as its not electric.

Notice how they always promise us “safety” and convenience”….

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the UN body responsible for crafting airline policy, plans to dramatically shake up existing rules for airports and airlines through the introduction of a “digital travel credential”.

This would allow passengers to store passport information on their devices to be used for travel. The changes could come into effect within three years, according to the Times….

The changes would make boarding passes and the need to check in for flights obsolete. Instead, flyers will download a “journey pass” to their phone when they book a flight. The pass will be automatically updated if any changes are made to the booking.

Passengers will also be able to upload their passports to their phone and travel through airports using their face for verification. Instead of manually checking in, which would let airlines know who intends to board their flights, airlines will instead be alerted when passengers arrive at the airport and their face is scanned….

Infrastructure upgrades at airports, including facial recognition technology and the ability to read a passport from a mobile device, would be needed for the plans to be carried out successfully.“

The ability to travel would require submitting to facial recognition technology, real-time location tracking, and credentials which can “automatically updated.” But at least we wouldn’t have to fumble anymore.

I know, again, that you may hate the government; but our US government is pretty clean when it comes to how it handles our data, compared to countries in which the governments just hands over dissidents’ addresses to thugs or militias, or lift out their personal secrets for purposes of blackmail.

In America what you earn, what you pay on your tax records, your contracts if you do business with the government; your medical records within government programs such as Medicaid or the VA; where you live, who your family members are — are all confidential. Because of various regulations, and the Fourth Amendment, these are privacy-protected records. They are also housed separately within the government, which is very important for your liberty.

That is, the people who know where you live, the Bureau of the Census, cannot co-ordinate datasets with the people in Medicaid or the VA who know whether or not you are vaccinated, or if you have ever been treated for drug addiction, and they in turn cannot coordinate datasets with the people in the IRS who know whether or not you have a balloon mortgage that is about to rise sharply in cost, which can permit, in other nations, secret pressure on you, or on the lender.

But the person who can have access to all of those datasets can map and then filter those queries with the existing datasets of agency after agency, so that a “control grid” can be easily created.

When that happens, it will be an X-ray onto everyone’s vulnerabilities — including President Trump’s, his companies’, and his donors,’ and their companies’.

A major reason I am screaming abut these dangers is that I have experienced personally what can happen to a life when even a few of the tissue-thin protections of our Fourth Amendment, are breached, at the government and Broligarch levels working together.

One of the scariest moments in my life was when discovery records for Murthy v Missouri, the lawsuit against the Biden administration pressuring social media platforms for censoring dissidents, emerged. My lawyer Scott Street showed me my accurate 2021 tweet — the one warning of menstrual damage from the mRNA injection — that led Jack Dorsey’s Twitter to cancel me in 2021, and to seed identical negative stories about me, that still exist, in the world’s media.

Carol Crawford of the CDC was on the email chain pressuring social media companies and her own colleagues to censor tweets such as mine.

But also on the email exchange were personnel from the US Bureau of the Census.

Why? The only reason I could imagine would be that they know where I live; the CDC does not.

The second scariest moment was when, at the end of the Biden administration, the IRS kept not counting checks I sent in for taxes due, and thus kept escalating their demands to see my internal financial records.

I have no financial secrets; but I knew from Canada, that debanking me, or causing me the many other kinds of financial or legal mayhem that critics of the Biden regime have endured, begins with “fishing expeditions” such as those.

Musk may now have the records of where everyone banks, with whom they may have loans or mortgages; he can combine these with records of where everyone lives, and who their dependents are; he can combine all that with records of what medical treatments they have now and had in the past, and in turn combine that with contracts for their businesses (which contracts in many cases will reveal protected trade secrets, such as the vendors of software for digital companies); Musk can combine these in turn with government contract details. He can also make a map with X rays of all of his business competitors; this would be a crime, according to Fitts, if a government employee did it, as he or she is prevented from using government content to his or her own separate financial benefit.

The separation of agencies’ datasets, under normal circumstances, and past privacy safeguards, all meant that no one could create a social credit score with the US government’s data, let alone use to it to target dissidents and critics.

Now that protection is gone.

With these various filters on combined datasets, Elon Musk could out-compete any business — and also target any enemy. Musk does not even have to give the control grid to the government, which would be stopped by the courts, in any case, from using it.

Think about this. The President can’t use this theoretical control grid. But Elon Musk could.

Depending on where the data now live, which we don’t really know, Musk could keep this “everything app”, which he has promised to build, for his own purposes. Right now Musk describes the proposed “everything app” — which, interestingly, he announced at the end of last month — as combining payments and socials, just like the social credit system does in China.

His “everything app” could easily add, with these government datasets, medical records, vaccine records, mental health treatments, social networks, contracts, personal locations. A turnkey Big Brother social credit score.

Musk can do anything to anyone with little fear of reprisal — destroy any career, as Twitter did mine — because all future litigation will be a minefield; Musk will be able to see any future litigant’s income and tax returns. (President Trump just settled his class action lawsuit with Musk for Twitter’s censorship of him. I was a co-plaintiff along with President Trump and others. While I can‘t discuss the details of the case, you can imagine the impact on any plaintiff of realizing that Musk, the defendant, could in theory see the plaintiffs’ financial records during litigation.)

With his “everything app” loading up government datasets and filtering them, Musk would be able to wield powerful leverage against — even target — any Prime Minister, any donors, including the RNC’s; any company, any dissidents, and any party, including the Republican Party.

Indeed, he can target any President.

The Value of Government Data

President Trump and the MAGA team, whose leadership is almost all from the pre-internet generation, may not understand the financial value to Silicon Valley of Elon Musk having potentially breached these data already.

I’ve been using mainly cash for two years now. It was strange at first, having been a “card Queen” ever since credit cards were introduced.
What amazed me was the blasè staff at payment centres (post offices, shops etc) as they counted out the thousands of dollars I handed over (rates, utulities, purchases, etc).

I realised that a sizable proportion of the population still uses cash and institutions are set up to receive cash.

I am not against modernizing government computer systems and making government efficient. If that is what people are doing, it is great. If checks and balances make sure fraudulent NGO schemes are shut down, even better. But your data needs to belong to you, and you alone.

Here’s a dilemma. In the first part of this interview by Shawn Ryan of Palantir’s Chief Technology Officer, that man perfectly describes the Silo System which Sundance has outlined, as far as agencies not talking to/sharing info to other agencies and what the DOGE people are doing to fix it – and then is the dilemma that we know, once the government has been fully streamlined, updated, tweaked so that it is the latest technology it’s just one step before the next group of bureaucrats step in and pull another Obama, and then this beautifully updated, tweaked government system is fully, irretrievably weaponized.

The question is – how to update to stop the theft and fraud that these DOGE audits are exposing while not allowing for a future Administration to turn it into the Beast?

Hello, I understand and agree with Sundance’s concerns. However, I worked for a software company named CSC in the 1990’s. They won a huge contract to modernize the IRS database system around 1998. I remember the big VP saying that the current IRS dbase was the largest flat file in the world. I left in 2000 and suspect CSC may not have made much progress.

I said all that to say the government has been wanting to modernize the IRS for over 25 years. The surveillance state has actually been delayed; not accelerated.

Surveillance isn’t the only problem. There is also another problem. A security problem. This is why you turn the autists loose to ferret out and get to the bottom of a problem, like finding fraud and waste, but you never, ever, EVER let the autists devise the solution.

There is a security aspect to having information spread all over the place, not interfacing. Someone takes down part of it, hacks it, whatever, the rest is still intact. Their solution here is akin to discovering that a client’s savings are spread all over the place in multiple accounts at multiple banks and brokerage firms. The solution these autists devise is combining it all in one place and investing it ALL with Bernie Madoff to get maximum returns.

Cooler heads, rational heads, need to step in and gut this, NOW.

While they’re fiddling around in there, if it isn’t too much trouble, maybe someone can acquire Lois Lerner’s incriminating emails that were so elusive due to her hard drive failing, and the tape back-up being “erased accidentally” two weeks after it being requested by Congress. I wouldn’t want to put anyone out. It was only direct weaponization of the IRS against the Tea Party before it became infested with grifters, hosers, and jackasses.
