I remember several years ago when Maher criticized women who were concerned about their friends running off with some dude they just met. He thought it was fake concern to hide their jealousy. It was the most dense, ignorant, stupid, and even dangerous misperception of the caution real world women need to have with strange men. He is amorally oblivious to sexual concerns and safety. No wonder he is alone.

So was it ignorant and mean when Bill Maher said Melania had blocked Trump from her bed and that PDJT was having relationships with Laura Loomer? Because it sounds like Bill can dish it but he can’t take it.

I was positively impressed with the segment. Maher showed some humility and admitted (to his great surprise) many good qualities he observed in Trump. THIS IS GOOD! And kudos to Sundance for posting this (I had already seen it, linked from CFP).

People DO change… sometimes suddenly, but usually very gradually. Even a gradual shift is a GOOD thing. And you never know when, after perhaps 100 gradual shifts, the sudden shift will happen, and they will become MAGA. I think we need to keep our hearts open to welcome them.
Maher has a huge Leftist audience, and I think many of his viewers will BEGIN to lighten up on their TDS, as Maher obviously did.

There is a lot of bad feeling on both sides of the progressive-conservative divide. At times I get sick of it-we’re all just people with different ways of looking at the world.
I’m not talking about the criminals on either side of the aisle: the criminals need to be charged with their crimes.
But for people who just have opinions that are different, or a world view that’s different, isn’t there some way to relate other than each side putting energy into hatred, disgust, or character attacks?
I was thinking about it this way, at the end of my life, am I really going to regret that I didn’t push more people away for political reasons? I think at the end of my life, the only regret will be that I couldn’t rise above politics enough to get closer to a lot of people.
I also think that dividing people is what totalitarians do, and they do it for calculated reasons, so anyone who stirs the pot and sounds divisive gets top billing and is used for click bait. I feel this has been visited upon us like it was visited upon Americans before the Civil War and it was the same people then who divided us as the people who are doing so now:
At the time of the Civil War, it was the aristocrats in the South who couldn’t stand Lincoln or the abolitionists because their entire business model depended upon slavery.
Well it’s the same people, the globalist predators, now, who we get played by, in allowing ourselves to be used as pawns in their efforts to totally rip up the fabric of the American people.
Sure we all have intense negative feelings about Communism and all the efforts to ruin our culture: for good reason. But the people in this country who have fallen for the idea that the government should “take care of everybody,” they are just people with a different set of values as to how to solve problems in our society. They, themselves, with their opinions, aren’t trying to take away everything from us. It’s still those who have immense power who are looking to enslave US ALL, who are the problem.
People have disagreed about how to solve problems since humans have arisen. For millions of years people have disagreed!
We have a choice as to how we handle those disagreements. It takes energy, patience, and kindness to listen to people with whom we disagree, but if we refuse to listen to their perspectives, why should they listen to us?

This entire monologue was loaded with two faced BS. Maher says some nice things but in the very same breath takes openly backhanded swipes at the very same Character of President Trump he just complemented.
I found zero content in this video that does not portrait Maher as the two faced personality that used to be described as Pig Maher.
This is typical Maher …. says something that seems nice … but if one actually waits … the true Pig Maher always emerges.
I thought Maher did a good job here of being objective, yet true to himself. The goal isn’t to get Maher wearing a MAGA hat, it’s about slowly winning the culture war. This is not too far removed from the slew of podcasts Trump did prior to the election to reach new demographics, culminating in the Joe Rogan podcast. A lot of centrists/independents/disgruntled leftists watch Bill Maher, and whether you like him, or not, someone like Maher portraying Trump as thoughtful, kind & humorous to those disgruntled leftists/independents/centrists, is a win for the culture war.
For Bill Maher, he only is trying to survive for his relevance, that’s all. No conservative worth anything would listen or take this man serious. He has no character, a leftist who is moving central to libertarian, yet is he? He’s an atheist. I say let his show die along with all the liberal jerks on the tube.
